September Resync 2025: how do we 'bring home and make beautiful' - by being and making disciples of Jesus

Part of our September Resync Series. Adam reminds us of the meaning and call of our name NAVAH.

God intends to renew the whole creation and has started by Raising Jesus from death to life. God will complete his new creation with Jesus’ return. The new creation began with Jesus’ resurrection and has continued in and through our lives as the church! We are participants in New Creation, we are ambassadors of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:14-6:2. 

Donte opens up Eph 4:1-7 and urges us to walk in a manor worthy of our calling -  to continue the legacy of unity that God desires for His family.

What does it mean to be the actual family of God? It requires of us to grown in love and to walk in kindness and maturity. We bear the family name of God, the name of love. Let us walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called, to be the family of love.Join us in 2025 as we explore the themes of Prayer, Family, Mission and Formation.

A teaching unpacking Jesus' famous proclamation, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life" amidst the cultural complexity of our current world and our personal tendency to drift from our best intentions as followers of Jesus.  

In John 10, Jesus gives a teaching on the nature of a true shepherd, in response to the excommunication of the healed blind man by the Pharisees. In His teaching, He says “I am the Gate for the sheep” - Jesus is the way; good and true and beautiful theology embodied for the sake of those that He loves.

The resurrected Jesus promised a unique blessing to all who would trust him through the pilgrimage of life.

God who has always been an eternal family and who made the world through the “Word” in the beginning is now remaking all things into a new creation through the “Word” who “became flesh”. This new Adam, Jesus of Nazareth, is God’s one and only unique Son who walks in intimacy and authority to restore the earth. He is welcoming us to behold his glory, believe in his name and become children of God. We are invited to intimately know him, live in loving union and join in his new creation mandate. 

As we consider Jesus’ command to give, we look back at the original creation mandate and how we were created to be generous.
