E21 - Neurogenic Tremoring As a Catalyst for Meditation, Qigong & Nondual Practice with Jared Dahmer

Most people come to tremoring looking for relief. Jared came looking for depth. By the time he found Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®), he'd spent nearly a decade inside ancient yoga, Daoist Qigong, and nondual meditation — and what he wasn't expecting was that a single video, found mid-session on the floor of his own room, would finally let all of it land in his body.In this episode, Alex sits down with Jared to trace that arc: years of self-study in Qigong and Kriya; the night he searched "how to release trauma" and stumbled onto TRE; and the first three months when, in his words, "everything became felt in my body." Along the way they get into pausing inside a session, the integration that happens lying still afterward, lowering your baseline beneath the polyvagal curve, and the paradox at the heart of his path — nondual teachers say let go of the body, while tremoring keeps inviting him further in.Jared is also leading a guest workshop for the Neurogenic Integration community on Thursday, October 22, 2026 — a chance to experience what brings tremoring alive for him, firsthand.Jared Dahmer is a TRE® provider certified through Red Beard's TRE certification pathway, based in Louisiana, USA. Before TRE, he spent six to seven years in deep self-study of Daoist Qigong — in the lineage of Jonathan White, Michael Winn, and Mantak Chia — alongside ancient yoga, Kriya, and nondual meditation. He teaches both TRE and Qigong and offers one-on-one sessions, exploring tremoring not only as a way to release stress and trauma, but as a catalyst for embodiment and awakening.⏱ KEY HIGHLIGHTS0:00   Welcome & introductions2:00   Starting Qigong in 2020: the search for deeper connection4:00   An experience at twenty that changed everything6:00   What is Qigong? E20 - Neurogenic Tremoring for Manual Therapists: Bridging Bodywork, Fascia & the Nervous System with Ágnes Katona

In this episode, Alex sits down with Ágnes Katona — a physiotherapist and manual therapist in Budapest, Hungary — to compare notes on a journey many bodyworkers are quietly making: from working only with tissues, joints, and fascia to recognizing the nervous system as the missing piece. Both Alex and Ágnes were trained in traditions that had no language for what their own bodies started doing on the table. Both rediscovered that "missing link" through their own spontaneous tremoring. And both have spent years working out what it actually looks like to integrate Neurogenic Tremoring into a hands-on treatment session.Their conversation moves through Ágnes's path from physiotherapy into manual therapy and the moment a single client introduced her to TRE; Alex's first spontaneous tremor on a Rolfing table years before he had any language for what it was; two case studies that show what becomes possible when manual therapy and tremoring meet — including a client whose body was so protected it couldn't receive touch at all; and the new science from the 2024 Fascia Research Congress, where Robert Schleip and Stephen Porges took the keynote stage together and showed how fascia and the autonomic nervous system are far more entangled than bodyworkers have been taught. This is also a preview of Neurogenic Tremoring for Manual Therapists & Bodyworkers — a 4-day in-person seminar in Budapest, September 24–27, 2026, taught by Alex Greene and hosted by Ágnes Katona. Romania dates to follow.Ágnes Katona is a physiotherapist, manual therapist, and certified TRE® provider based in Budapest, Hungary. She is the owner of Balanced You Therapy and Learning Hub, where she integrates Neurogenic Tremoring into her clinical work and trains other practitioners to do the same. E18 - From Pediatric Oncology to TRE for All: A Nurse's Path Into Stewarding a Global Practice with Tanya Beard, MN, BN

In this episode, Alex sits down with Tanya Beard, MN, BN — Executive Director at TRE for All (TFA), the global nonprofit that has stewarded TRE certification trainings for nearly fifteen years. Tanya comes to this role through a career most people don't take a straight line through: pediatric oncology and bone marrow transplant nursing at twenty-two, ten years as a child and family psychiatric nurse practitioner, service in the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves, consulting with schools and families, and — after the pandemic — a job at her local public library. Underneath all of it was one consistent instinct: bring the body into the room. Walking sessions with teenage clients, yoga, mindfulness, breath. Then a single optional after-hours class introduced her to TRE, and the trajectory bent again.Tanya Beard, MN, BN, is the Executive Director at TRE for All (TFA), the global nonprofit overseeing TRE® certification trainings worldwide. Based in Washington State, she brings more than two decades of nursing and clinical experience to the role — beginning as a pediatric oncology nurse at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, later working for roughly a decade as a child and family psychiatric nurse practitioner, and serving with the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves. She is a certified TRE® provider trained by the late Susan Shifman, and has consulted with schools, families, and treatment centers on body-based approaches to nervous system care. E17 - From Stillness to Shaking: Meditation, TRE, and the Body's Lead with Gabriel Kaszab

In this episode, Alex sits down with Gabriel to explore one of the most unusual origin stories in the NI community: a meditator who came to neurogenic tremoring not through a workshop or a training, but through his own body's spontaneous intelligence. Their conversation moves through Gabriel's childhood states of effortless meditation in Romania, the schooling that gradually shut those states down, his rediscovery of deep presence through Eckhart Tolle, and the seven years he spent tremoring alone without knowing anyone else did this too. Then — what changed when he finally learned TRE existed, why he dove straight into the practitioner training, and how he now integrates tremoring with Reiki, salsa warmups, singing bowls, and light language in his sessions with clients. This is a conversation about neurogenic tremoring as more than release — as playfulness, as meditation, as a continuum that lives not just on the mat, but walking, swimming, driving, and waiting in line at the supermarket.Gabriel Kaszab is a TRE® practitioner and Reiki practitioner based in Brisbane, Australia. He came to neurogenic tremoring spontaneously through a meditation practice he developed in his thirties, and practiced privately for seven years before discovering TRE® and training as a provider. He facilitates individual and group sessions in Brisbane, integrating TRE® with Reiki, intuitive bodywork, and somatic movement. E16 - Breathwork & TRE: Where the Breath Meets the Tremor — with Mike Maher

What does it feel like when your body starts moving before your mind has any idea why?For Mike Maher, the answer came in the basement of a hotel in Poland — lights off, a room full of strangers, thirty rhythmic breaths — and then tears, trembling, and a release he couldn't explain. That single session with Wim Hof lit a fire that eventually became the Take a Deep Breath YouTube channel, one of the largest breathwork communities on the planet, and a decade-long exploration into what breath can actually do for the human nervous system. In this episode, Alex sits down with Mike for a wide-ranging conversation about breathwork as a complete system — not a single technique, but a full toolkit for nervous system regulation. Together they trace Mike's journey from stressed corporate professional to one of the field's most trusted educators, exploring his RESET framework, what he learned from training breath holds underwater with the world record holder, the 90-day CO2 documentary he's launching, and why the simplest ancestral practices — bare feet on soil, morning light, quiet air — might carry more physiological weight than any sophisticated technique. And along the way, they wander into the territory closest to home for the NI community: the intersection of breathwork and TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) — and what happens when the body starts tremoring during a breath session and you finally stop fighting it. If you've ever wondered how breathwork and TRE relate, or felt both practices pulling toward the same place in the body, this conversation is for you.Mike Maher is a breathwork coach, educator, and content creator who spent 12 years in the corporate world before a sequence of transformational experiences — a Wim Hof retreat, Tony Robbins events, and walking the Camino de Santiago — set him on a different path. Drawing on a background in video production and storytelling, he built the Take A Deep Breath YouTube channel into one of the largest breathwork platforms in the world, with 300,000+ subscribers and 42 million views. His podcast has featured deep conversations with James Nestor, Patrick McKeown, Dr. Belisa Vranich, and many others at the frontier of breathing, trauma, and performance. He works with clients one-on-one, leads group programs, and teaches a full-spectrum approach that blends functional technique with nervous system science and genuine embodied practice. Mike is also currently a student in the Neurogenic Integration TRE Certification program, deepening his understanding of how neurogenic tremoring and breathwork can work together as complementary pathways to nervous system regulation.⏱ KEY HIGHLIGHTS00:00 — Welcome & Introductions03:30 — Mike's Origin Story: Steve Jobs, Joe Rogan & the Road to Wim Hof06:00 — The Poland Retreat: Tears, Trembling & an Unexplained Release08:00 — When Wim Hof Was Making the Anxiety Worse11:00 — The Podcast as Education: James Nestor, Patrick McKeown & Learning from the Best13:00 — The RESET Framework: A Full Map of Breathwork in Five Categories19:00 — Mike's Personal Learning Curve: From Oxygen Advantage to Rebirthing in a Hot Tub22:00 — A Full Rebirthing Experience in Glastonbury26:00 — Breath Holds, Willpower & Training with the World Record Holder28:00 — The 90-Day CO2 Therapy Documentary: What Mike Is Testing & Why33:00 — Ancestral Living: Earthing, Light Exposure & Things Too Simple to Ignore40:00 — Discovering Neurogenic Tremoring44:00 — Where Breathwork and TRE🔗 RESOURCES & LINKS MENTIONEDMike Maher / Take A Deep Breath — YouTube, podcast & coaching: https://www.youtube.com/@TAKEADEEPBREATHhttp://www.takeadeepbreath.co.uk/ Wim Hof Method — Breathwork & cold exposure system: https://www.wimhofmethod.comJames Nestor — Author of Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art: https://www.mrjamesnestor.comPatrick McKeown / Oxygen Advantage — Functional breathing & CO2 tolerance training: https://oxygenadvantage.comDr. Belisa Vranich / Breathing for Warriors — Biomechanical breathwork: https://thebreathingclass.comAnders Olson / Relaxator — CO2 therapy & nasal breathing research: https://www.relaxator.comTom Sietas — World record breath holder; freediving & breath hold trainingDr. David Berceli — Creator of TRE®: https://treglobal.orgLeonard Orr — Pioneer of Rebirthing breathworkDr. Jack Kruse — Neurosurgeon; light biology & circadian health: https://jackkruse.comThe Earthing Movie — Documentary on grounding & inflammation (7M+ views on YouTube)Civilized to Death — Book by Christopher RyanRing of Fire — 1970s documentary featuring Qi master Kevin Chang🔗 Join our live weekly classes → https://neurogenic-integration.com/webshop/#classes🎓 Explore our Online TRE® Certification → https://neurogenic-integration.com/webshop/#cert📍 FIND US ONLINENeurogenic Integration: https://neurogenic-integration.com/ Instagram: @neurogenicintegration

E15 - Finding Your Ground: Jonah Robins on TRE, Bioenergetics & Coming Home to Your Body

Host Alex Greene is joined by TRE provider and somatic coach Jonah Robins for a rich conversation about what it means to come home to your body. Jonah discovered TRE in his early twenties — introduced by his father, Dr. Eric Robins, during a particularly stressful season of life. His first tremoring session stopped him in his tracks: lying on the ground, legs finally still, he felt a wave of peace travel up his spine. It was the beginning of a 12-year practice that would shift not just his nervous system, but his entire relationship with himself. Together, Alex and Jonah trace that journey — from Jonah's early freeze physiology and the slow thaw that followed, to his certification and first experiences sharing TRE with others. Jonah Robins is a TRE provider based out of Los Angeles CA. After discovering TRE in 2014, he spent several years being personally mentored by Dr David Berceli learning how to deepen the TRE process in his own body as well  as with clients. Today he works with folks from all over the world helping them to embody the tremor mechanism. His work also incorporates aspects of Bioenergetics, Reichian breathwork, and Pranic Healing. The goal of his work is to help clients release the emotional, physical and energetic components of their issues so they can restore balance to their body and nervous systems.  ⏱ KEY HIGHLIGHTS 00:00 — Welcome & Introductions01:46 — How Jonah Found TRE03:59 — First Tremoring Session05:23 — Early Practice & Obsession07:19 — Thawing the Freeze Response09:48 — Meditation Meets Somatic Work13:51 — Meeting Dr. David Berceli19:17 — Teaching TRE in College Days21:51 — Three Years with Dr. Berceli26:29 — TRE for "Normal People"31:43 — Neo-Reichian Therapy Journey36:08 — Body Armoring & Bio-Energetics41:37 — Spirituality & Somatic Healing46:24 — Highly Sensitive & Spiritual Beings52:17 — Spreading TRE Worldwide  🔗 RESOURCES & LINKS MENTIONED • Dr. David Berceli — Creator of TRE®: https://treglobal.org/ • Dr. Eric Robins — Pioneer in energy healing & energy psychology (Jonah's father)• Alexander Lowen — Founder of Bioenergetic Analysis: https://bioenergetic-analysis.com• Devaraj Sandberg — Bio-energetics & Reichian work on YouTube• Jan Sultan — Rolfing practitioner, last student of Ida Rolf• Deanna Hansen — Block Therapy (myofascial release): https://blocktherapy.com• Morton Hershkowitz — Neo-Reichian therapist, student of Wilhelm Reich• Jack Willis — Neo-Reichian Therapy for Home Use (book) https://reichiantherapy.info/book%20in%20pdf/Reich%20home%20Book.pdf • 📧 Connect with Jonah: [email protected]  ---🔗 Join our live weekly classes → https://neurogenic-integration.com/webshop/#classes 🎓 Explore our Online TRE® Certification → https://neurogenic-integration.com/webshop/#cert  📍 FIND US ONLINENeurogenic Integration: https://neurogenic-integration.com/ Instagram: @neurogenicintegration

E14 - Osmosis of Life: TRE, Fascia & the Body's Natural Intelligence with Oltita Raluca Rad

What if the key to deeper healing isn't working harder — but softening first? In this episode, host Alex Greene sits down with Oltita Raluca Rad (Tita), an Advanced TRE® Facilitator and Fascial Maneuvers practitioner from Brasov, Romania. A former accountant, Tita discovered TRE in 2019 and describes her first session as "love at first sight" — the moment she realised she wasn't a mental person after all, but a bodily one.At the core of this conversation is the powerful connection between fascia and neurogenic tremoring. After a difficult client experience, Tita explored fascial maneuvers through the Human Garage method and made a striking discovery: when the connective tissue is softened and hydrated before TRE, the tremor enters the body more gently, goes deeper, and produces significantly less dissociation, freeze, and cathartic overwhelm. Her framework is elegant: fascia is the body's receiver of information, the nervous system is the transmitter, and neurogenic tremoring is the pathway that allows information to flow — creating new neural connections, safety, and what she calls "the space of creation." Alex shares how this matches his own years of experience integrating structural integration bodywork with TRE, and both practitioners agree: the two together are more powerful than either alone.🎧 Listen now to explore the fascia-tremor connection and what it means for healing, aging, and the body's natural intelligence.Timestamped Segments:00:00 – Welcome & introductions02:00 – Oltita's TRE origin story04:00 – Leaving accounting behind07:00 – Love at first tremor09:00 – Certification journey insights13:00 – Building a TRE practice17:00 – Discovering fascial maneuvers20:00 – Fascia softens the tremor25:00 – Fascia as information receiver31:00 – Mountain cliff body story33:00 – TRE and mitochondria37:00 – Science catching up to intuition39:00 – Osmosis of Life community40:00 – How to connect with Oltita41:00 – Closing reflectionsConnect with Oltita: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rad.ralucaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/kosmosis.ov/  Website: https://nas.io/kosmosis-osmoza-vietii-constienteFind us Online: Neurogenic Integration: https://neurogenic-integration.com/ Instagram: @neurogenicintegration

E013 - How Can Neurogenic Tremoring Heal Trauma Across Cultures? TRE in East Africa with Mary Gitau

Mary Gitau, a psychologist and suicide prevention specialist based in Nairobi, shares how she's bringing TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) to communities across Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, and South Sudan affected by conflict and war. She discusses her personal healing breakthrough with TRE and how body-based approaches can reach populations where traditional talk therapy cannot—particularly in cultures where men don't openly discuss emotions. E09 - Finding Hope Through TRE: Svava Brooks' Journey from Freeze to Freedom

What happens when a trauma survivor discovers TRE and becomes the practitioner she needed? Alex Greene speaks with Svava Brooks, a TRE practitioner in Reykjavik, Iceland, who has mastered integrating neurogenic tremoring with mindful self-compassion and polyvagal theory. Svava didn't set out to become a provider—she entered the training for her own healing. But what she discovered transformed not only her life but her approach to holding space for others. As a complex trauma survivor in functional freeze, Svava shares practical wisdom from taking "a thousand tiny steps" into social engagement. She reveals why TRE alone wasn't enough—she needed self-compassion practices to befriend her body and build the safe attachment capacity she'd never experienced. She discusses why she teaches the "hand on heart" practice first, how to work with freeze patterns during tremoring, and why going "slower than slow" creates lasting change. Now bringing TRE to every town in Iceland, Svava offers insights on sustainable healing practices, integrating somatic work with other modalities, and creating compassionate containers where bodies feel safe to release.Key Highlights:00:04 - Introduction and Congress Overview 03:10 - Robert Schleip on Fascia 05:29 - Fascia Responds to Stress 08:45 - Fabiana de Silva's Vagal Resets 11:17 - Self-Help Grounding Through Squeezing 12:18 - Gil Hedley's Vagus Dissection 14:01 - Sounding and Vagal Activation 18:06 - Fascia, Consciousness, and Soul 21:28 - Meeting Stephen Porges 25:32 - Traumatic Brain Injury Insights 30:00 - Liza's TRE Presentation Experience 32:51 - 100 People Experience Tremoring 40:00 - Future Congress Plans 42:40 - Sami Yoiking Healing Songs 48:34 - Human Algorithm Workshop PreviewResources Mentioned:ACE Study (Adverse Childhood Experiences Study): https://www.ajpmonline.org/article/s0749-3797(98)00017-8/pdf Polyvagal Theory: https://www.polyvagalinstitute.org/whatispolyvagaltheory Kristin Neff - Self-Compassion Research: https://self-compassion.org/the-research/ Dr. David Berceli: https://treglobal.org/about-dr-david-berceli/ Svava’s Website: https://www.svavabrooks.com/ Find us Online:Neurogenic Integration: https://neurogenic-integration.com/Instagram: @neurogenicintegration

E06 - Safe and Sound Listening + Neurogenic Tremoring with Jenna Anderson

Alex Greene talks with Jenna Anderson, a TRE provider and Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) practitioner who has been combining these two powerful nervous system approaches since 2017. Jenna explains how Dr. Stephen Porges' SSP uses a specialized algorithm that "dances" with the nervous system through filtered music, making it fundamentally different from regular therapeutic audio you might find on streaming platforms. The conversation explores why SSP and TRE work so effectively together—both target nervous system regulation but through different pathways. SSP works through the auditory system to activate social engagement, while TRE uses the body's natural tremor response to release stored tension. Jenna describes her bi-weekly group classes where participants experience both approaches together, creating what practitioners call "amplified results" through combined delivery. This episode covers the practical details of Jenna's combined SSP + TRE classes offered through the Neurogenic Integration platform, and she shares the process for joining these integration workshops held every other Tuesday at 9 AM Pacific (10 AM Mountain, 6 PM Paris time) starting on August 26,2025. The episode also highlights professional development opportunities for TRE providers interested in becoming SSP certified and emphasizes how this combination addresses root causes of nervous system dysregulation rather than just managing symptoms.Learn more about Safe and Sound Listening + Neurogenic Tremoring class: Key Highlights:0:03 - Jenna's background introduction2:22 - SSP development history 3:02 - Simple SSP explanation 8:29 - Porges concept "availability" 10:03 - SSP historical evolution 15:50 - Provider supervision requirements 16:42 - SSP versus other music 17:38 - Client Types and Benefits of SSP 21:03 - Group versus individual sessions 24:15 - Class structure overview 27:17 - Onboarding process steps 31:45 - Alex's practice integration 35:07 - Multiple healing portals 37:35 - TRE provider eligibilityLinks and Resources:Dr. Stephen Porges and Polyvagal Theory: https://www.polyvagalinstitute.org/Unite SSP Platform (official app): https://www.unyte.com/Neurogenic Integration Website: https://neurogenicintegration.com/Sign up to SSP + TRE Integration Classes: Every other Tuesday, 9 AM Pacific: TRE Foundation Resources: https://traumaprevention.com/Professional SSP Certification: https://www.unyte.com/provider-training/

E03- The Body is the Portal: Exploring Internal Alchemy with Simba Stenqvist

What if the secret to deep healing wasn't found in a technique---but in the quality of presence you bring to another human being? In this episode, Alex reconnects with Simba Stenqvist, TRE® trainer and somatic innovator based in Thailand, to explore his groundbreaking modality called Internal Alchemy---a fusion of neurogenic tremoring, fascial work, breathwork, and energetic practices.Simba shares how Internal Alchemy emerged not from intellectual design, but through direct revelation during meditation---symbols, insights, and movements that seemed to arise through him rather than from him. Drawing on 25+ years in martial arts, bodywork, and nervous system practices, Simba reveals how respecting traditional lineages means bringing them forward to meet contemporary needs. From his multicultural background (Swedish-Dominican) to his "old school" teaching philosophy, Simba embodies the art of working with "who's in front of you" rather than rigid protocols.Together, Alex and Simba dive deep into the mystery of masterful facilitation---how experienced practitioners learn to trust their intuition, follow subtle body cues, and create spaces where profound healing can unfold. This conversation explores presence as medicine, the power of authentic witnessing, and how combining fascial work with tremoring can access layers of stored trauma that pure nervous system approaches might miss. E02 - The Wellness Toolbox: A Journalist Explores Neurogenic Tremoring

This week, Alex sits down with Daniel Seifert, a journalist whose work has appeared in the BBC, New York Times, and National Geographic. Daniel shares how he stumbled upon neurogenic tremoring through YouTube videos while looking for ways to manage deadline stress. What started as curious exploration quickly became a regular practice that helped him sleep better, release jaw tension, and feel more at ease in his body. His story is a reminder that our bodies already know how to heal—sometimes we just need to rediscover the natural mechanisms that are built right in!Daniel's experience goes beyond just physical relief—he noticed how tremoring seemed to "dissolve the hyphen between mind and body," making him more receptive to music and even improving his posture. He compares the tremoring response to laughter: both are natural, sometimes uncontrollable movements that bring deep release and relief. Alex adds fascinating context about how Dr. David Berceli developed this approach after observing natural tremoring responses in war zones, recognizing that what many see as just "shaking with fear" might actually be the body's innate wisdom trying to complete the stress cycle. The conversation flows into how tremoring complements other wellness practices that Daniel enjoys, from Tai Chi to breathwork to sauna and cold plunging. Alex shares stories of how this simple practice is spreading through fire departments, religious communities, and meditation centers—creating powerful results when paired with other modalities. Whether you're new to body-based practices or a seasoned wellness enthusiast, this warm conversation offers a friendly introduction to how inviting your body's natural tremors might become a game-changer in your healing toolkit.Key Highlights: 0:00 - Introduction to Daniel's story4:12 - Discovering tremoring on YouTube8:30 - "What happened during my first tremoring session"13:45 - When tremoring leads to spontaneous laughter18:23 - How Tai Chi complements neurogenic tremoring22:50 - Enhanced music appreciation after tremoring27:15 - The posture benefits Daniel experienced33:40 - "Your body knows how to heal"39:10 - Invitation vs resistance in the body42:30 - Tips for tremoring beginners48:15 - Breathwork and tremoring: perfect partners52:40 - The Feldenkrais connection56:20 - Surprising insights about athletic bodies and tremoring59:45 - How firefighters are using tremoring1:03:12 - Meditation becomes deeper after tremoringLinks & ResourcesShaking Medicine: https://www.amazon.com/Shaking-Medicine-Healing-Ecstatic-Movement/dp/1594771499 Wilhelm Reich: https://www.britannica.com/biography/Wilhelm-Reich Alexander Lowen: https://www.lowenfoundation.org/about-alexander-lowen Institute for Zen Leadership: https://zenleader.global/ Find us Online: Neurogenic Integration: https://neurogenic-integration.com/ Instagram: @neurogenicintegration

E01 - Neurogenic Integration: The Mystery of Spontaneous Movement

What if your client’s tremor, stretch, or undulation wasn’t a symptom—but a sign of healing? In this episode, Alex sits down with physical therapist, somatic educator and TRE Provider, Joel Begin to explore the natural, spontaneous movements that often arise in bodywork, movement therapy, and somatic healing—but are still largely misunderstood.Joel shares the story behind his 2022 paper, “Characterizing a Common Class of Spontaneous Movements,” a collaborative work that brings together perspectives from across the globe to map out how tremors, shakes, and fluid movements emerge across therapeutic, spiritual, and cultural contexts. From TRE® and myofascial unwinding to Qigong and authentic movement, Joel helps us reframe these expressions not as random or pathological—but as beneceptive and healing.Together, we explore the potential of spontaneous movement as a doorway into nervous system regulation, trauma resolution, and embodied intelligence. This episode invites you to see what might already be happening in your sessions with new eyes—and perhaps, to trust the body just a little more.Key Highlights: [00:02:00] The Paper That Sparked It All: Characterizing a Common Class of Spontaneous Movements[00:08:00] What Is Myofascial Unwinding?[00:14:30] Modalities That Evoke Spontaneous Movement[00:17:45] Spiritual Practices & Movement States[00:24:00] Case Study: Spontaneous Movement After Surgery[00:27:00] When Movement Feels Uncomfortable[00:33:00] TRE®, Trauma, and the Polyvagal Lens[00:38:45] Understanding Freeze Through Biotensegrity[00:41:00] What Makes These Movements Arise?[00:43:30] Creating a Container for CuriosityLinks & Resources📝 Joel Begin’s 2022 Paper: “Characterizing a Common Class of Spontaneous Movements” Read the full paper in the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage and BodyworkJoel Begin’s Practice – Creative Pathways PTContinuum Movement: https://continuummovement.com/ Somatic Experiencing by Peter Levine: https://www.somaticexperiencing.com/about-peter Polyvagal Theory by Dr. Stephen Porges: https://www.stephenporges.com/ Myofascial Release John F.
