How we understand the nearness of God affects our message as to whether the good news is good or not. The early message of the good news was that the kingdom of God was near, and demonstrated with signs and wonders. We are invited into this message. Jesus is looking for labourers. The kind of labourers he wants are birthed in prayer. Disciples of Jesus are sent-ones. They go in the same authority and Spirit as Christ, and the reality of the nearness of the kingdom of God.
