For Everyone Tired of Holding It All Together (Comfortable Words 2) ~Pastor Frank Hart
Are you tired of feeling like everything depends on you? Jesus doesn't offer another system to manage or another standard to reach. He says: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." This is for anyone worn down by guilt, pressure, or the exhausting need to prove themselves. Salvation isn't another task. It's a promise. Watch or listen now. Sophie Hart sings "Come Ye Sinners" after the message.

"Can God Really Forgive Me?" ~Pastor Frank Hart
Do you ever wonder if God is getting tired of forgiving you? You confess the same sins. You promise to do better. You fail again. Deep down, you wonder, "Sure, the pastor says I'm forgiven... but does that really include me?" In this sermon, we explore one of Christianity's oldest traditions: the Comfortable Words—Scripture passages spoken after confession to silence an accusing conscience. Because when guilt won't stop talking, you don't need a motivational speech. You need the heavy artillery of the objective Word of God. From 1 John 1:5–2:2, we'll discover why God's comfort isn't found in pretending our sin isn't that bad, but in believing our Savior is far greater than our sin.

"Jesus Shared His Father With Us" ~ Pastor Frank Hart
Why do so many Christians live exhausted, anxious, and constantly trying to prove themselves—even after they've been forgiven? In this message, "Jesus Shared His Father With Us," you'll discover how one simple phrase from Jesus changes everything: "Our Father." When you understand what Jesus was really inviting us into, it transforms the way you pray, face fear, carry burdens, and experience God's love. If you've ever wondered whether God is disappointed in you, distant from you, or merely tolerating you, this message is for you. You're always welcome to join us: https://www.NewChurch.Love

Who Gets the First Word? ~Pastor Frank Hart
Your phone doesn't love you. It studies you, predicts you, feeds your fears, rewards your outrage, and keeps you scrolling—but it doesn't love you. The problem isn't that we treat our phones like a Bible. The problem is we treat our Bibles like a phone—scrolling for the parts we agree with and skipping the parts we don't. In this message, we'll explore why the greatest threat to your faith isn't technology—it's the sinful desire to be your own authority. We'll talk about echo chambers, itching ears, self-made gods, and the life-changing difference between a God who agrees with you and the God who saves you. Because the question that shapes your life isn't just what gets your attention. It's who gets the first word.

"Daily Bread, Daily Trust" — Peter Bergman
"Are you carrying a 'Tomorrow Box' full of worries you were never meant to bear?" In this episode, we dive into a powerful message preached this past Sunday by Peter Bergman, titled "Daily Bread, Daily Trust." Stepping into Exodus 16 and Matthew 6, Peter unpacks why God gives us grace, strength, and provision one single day at a time—and why our desperate attempts to "hoard the manna" and control the future only end up rotting our peace. If you missed it live, you'll definitely want to catch this one. Pastor Frank wanted to share a quick note to the community, expressing just how incredibly proud he is of Peter: "Peter did an absolutely amazing job stepping into the pulpit this weekend. He delivered a timely, deeply grounded word that challenged and comforted all of us." Whether you're drowning in the stress of next week or just trying to navigate the next 24 hours, this message will help you unpack your anxieties, lay them down, and learn what it actually looks like to live by the rhythm of God's daily grace. Tune in, clear out your "Tomorrow Box," and find rest for today.

"The Mirage of Sin, the Reality of Grace" Angel Hart
Sin promises life. Grace often feels hard. We tend to get them backwards. In this message from Ephesians 2, Angel Hart explores the difference between illusion and reality—why the things we chase can never satisfy, and how God's grace gives what sin only promises.

"Fear This!" Kemper Crabb
When we elevate created things over the Creator, our hearts naturally fill with anxiety. True freedom begins with a perspective shift—reclaiming our confidence in God's unshakeable purpose and resting in His perfect authority.

"A Guide to Explaining the Trinity Badly" | Pastor Frank Hart
This week we tackled one of the deepest and strangest mysteries in Christianity: the Trinity. One God. Three Persons. And as it turns out, Christians have spent about two thousand years accidentally explaining it badly. "Creation can tell you there is a Creator, but creation alone cannot fully tell you whether that Creator is loving toward sinners. That's why Jesus matters so much." We looked at John 17, where Jesus prays to the Father before the cross and gives us one of the most intimate glimpses into the very heart of God in all of Scripture. If you've ever struggled to understand the Trinity, struggled to trust God in suffering, or wondered what God is actually like… this sermon is for you.

"Why Am I Like This? Anger, Grace, and the God Who Comforts" | Pastor Frank Hart
Most of us know what it feels like to love someone deeply… and still struggle to love them well. Maybe you've lost your temper with your kids, said something cruel to your spouse, overreacted to something small, or replayed a moment later thinking, "What's wrong with me?" In this sermon through Isaiah 66, we look at one of the most tender and surprising images of God in the entire Bible: a God who comforts His people "as a mother comforts her child." But right alongside that tenderness is another reality we often avoid—God's holiness, justice, and judgment against evil. This message wrestles honestly with anger, shame, parenting, emotional chaos, self-control, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Some lines that stuck with people: "Repentance without despair." "Children borrow calm from their parents." "Leave the justification to Jesus." If you've ever wondered why loving people can feel so hard… or if you're exhausted from trying to hold yourself together through sheer willpower… this sermon is for you.

Identity "Who Are You" | Pastor Frank Hart
Who are you… really? Not your job. Not your hobbies. Not what people think about you. When everything else gets stripped away—what's left? In this message, we wrestle with one of the biggest struggles in our culture: building our identity on things that can't hold it. From sports to success to social labels, we keep trying to answer the question "Who am I?"—and it keeps shifting on us. This sermon gets to the heart of that problem and offers something better. "We keep handing our identity to things that were never designed to carry it." "You're not the builder of your life… you're being built." If you've ever felt like you're constantly redefining yourself, trying to hold everything together, or wondering if you're enough—this message is for you. Because the good news is this: "You don't need to figure out who you are—God has already told you." Listen in as we explore what it means to receive your identity instead of trying to build it—and why that changes everything.

Dress Like A Disciple | Pastor Frank
Most of us think we're doing pretty well spiritually… until we have to deal with actual people. Like, it's easy to be patient, kind, and forgiving—right up until someone is annoying, inconvenient, or just… exists a little too loudly. In this message, we're looking at what it really means to follow Jesus—not just in theory, not just in church, but in real relationships. Because like it or not... "You're not living as a disciple of Jesus if no one has access to your real life." We'll walk through Colossians 3 and see that discipleship isn't just about knowing more, behaving better, or being excited about Jesus—it's about being formed into people who actually follow Him together. And yeah… that's where it gets messy.

"Unsubscribe" | Pastor Frank Hart
You can unsubscribe from almost anything with one click. Can we treat people the same way? "We want the benefits of family… without the inconvenience of people." "Without friction, there's no growth." We've been trained to think like consumers: What's in it for me? Does this work for me? Should I find something better? What if belonging isn't about finding the perfect place… but learning how to stay?

"When God Feels Gone" | Pastor Frank Hart
What if the moment you thought everything was falling apart… was actually the moment everything was being made right? In this message, we explore one of the most misunderstood moments in history—a moment that looked like loss, confusion, and absence… until it wasn't. Why do we assume something is wrong when things change? Why do we think something is missing when God may be doing something better? If you've ever felt like something important is "gone"—this message might change how you see it.

"This is not what I was expecting" Pastor Frank Hart
Turns out adulthood does not involve all the very specific problems Saturday morning cartoons led us to believe. Honestly… kind of disappointing. But you know what does show up? A life that doesn't go the way you expected. Palm Sunday was like that too. Everyone thought they knew exactly what Jesus was about to do… and they couldn't have been more wrong. "They weren't wrong about the Messiah coming. They were wrong about what He came to do." They wanted a king to fix their problems. Jesus came to die for their sins. Not what they were expecting. Exactly what they needed. If you've ever looked at your life (or God) and thought: "This is not what I was expecting…" Yeah… this one's for you.

"Physical & Financial Capital" | Pastor Frank Hart
This week, we wrap up our Five Capitals series with a message that gets uncomfortably practical: Physical & Financial Capital—your time, your stuff, your money, your presence. Yeah… that part. Before you start thinking, "Here we go, church just wants my money," take a breath. This isn't about guilt. It's about something deeper. "The church doesn't start with what we bring. It starts with what God gives." From potluck tables to Apollo 13, this message explores how ordinary things—food, homes, conversations, generosity—become the "infrastructure" God uses to change lives. "Macaroni and cheese is the gooey infrastructure of the mission." We all love generosity… until it costs us something. "We trust God with our eternity… but maybe not access to our bank account." But what if the point isn't pressure… it's freedom? "We don't give to be accepted. We give because we already are." This message is about: living open-handed instead of afraid showing up instead of sitting out bringing what you have instead of waiting for more Because at the end of the day, this isn't about money. It's about the table. "They made a place for me at the table… and it changed my life." Watch, listen, and maybe—just maybe—ask yourself: What are you bringing?

"Intellectual Capital" | Pastor Frank Hart
Most people assume the church runs on a few "professional Christians." But that's not how God designed it. What if the church actually runs on everything you know… everything you've learned… and everything you're good at? (You.) This week we talked about Intellectual Capital—the knowledge, skills, and experiences God has already placed in your life and how He wants to use them for His mission. A few lines from the message: "Everything you know. Everything you've learned. Everything you've practiced over the years. That's your kung fu." "Some people know how to fix engines. Some people know how to build things. Some people know how to explain complicated ideas so they can actually be understood." "The question isn't whether you have something to bring. The question is whether you're willing to bring it to the table." This message is for you.

"Relational Capital" — Pastor Frank Hart
You can have 1,200 followers, three group chats, a full calendar… and still feel like nobody actually knows you. That's the world we live in right now. More connected than ever. More lonely than ever. We don't need another podcast, another hot take, or another perfectly curated church service. We need people. Real relationships. People who notice when we walk in the room. People who remember our name. Because here's the truth: "Church stops feeling like an event and starts feeling like family the moment someone says, 'Hey… I'm glad you're here.'" This week we're talking about Relational Capital — the relationships God uses to grow faith, build the church, and bring people to Jesus. Because the Gospel usually travels along the roads of relationship. "Spiritual Capital" — Pastor Frank Hart
After this week's message someone told me, "The part about letting the Spirit work instead of doing it all myself… that's where I'm stuck. I feel like a hamster on a wheel." Maybe you do too. We hear, "Stop controlling. Let God." But what does that mean? Do we just stop trying? Jesus never tells us to stop moving. He tells us to stop being the engine. There's a difference between running from anxiety and abiding in trust. That difference changes everything.

"Eleven Years—The Baton" Pastor Frank Hart
It's our 11th birthday. Which means we're officially old enough to think we know everything… and still young enough to need a ride. This week we're talking about growth — not the kind that's about numbers on a screen, but the kind that decides whether the Gospel keeps moving forward or quietly fades into the background. Paul writes 2 Timothy knowing he's about to die. He doesn't make a five-year plan. No leadership conference. Just a final charge: Are we passing the baton… or just holding it? Are we running our race — or coasting? And here's the tension: "Christ will preserve His Church. But whether we're part of that mission is something we'll answer for." It's hopeful. It's direct. It's a rally cry. Hit play. Let's run. www.NewChurch.Love

"Romans Flyover MSOTB" Pastor Frank Hart
Romans is the book you read and then think, "Well… that escalated quickly." It's the book that calmly says things like, "None is righteous." "You can't fix this." "Your best effort still isn't enough." Which is not usually how you start a motivational talk. Romans is also the book that says, "But now…" "There is no condemnation." "Nothing can separate you from the love of God." So if you've ever wondered: Why Christianity isn't just self-improvement Why trying harder doesn't bring peace Or why Paul sounds like he's arguing with everyone at once This letter is for you. Today we're doing a flyover of Romans—not because it's simple, but because it's essential. And fair warning: Paul is going to take apart everything we trust to make ourselves feel okay… before giving us something better. "Assurance Where It Belongs" — Pastor Frank Hart
What if the thing you're worried about… is something God isn't worried about at all? A lot of us grew up believing that strong faith attracts God—and weak faith pushes Him away. So we spend our lives checking our sincerity, measuring our consistency, and wondering if we're faithing hard enough for Jesus. But what if that whole framework is off? This sermon is for the person who takes Jesus seriously—but quietly wonders if they're doing good enough. For the person who wants to be faithful, but isn't sure their faith measures up. For anyone who's ever left church asking, "Am I okay with God?" 💥 "Weak faith doesn't repel God. It attracts Him." 💥 "Self-examination without assurance doesn't lead to repentance—it leads to discouragement." 💥 "Faith doesn't save because it holds Jesus—faith is trusting that Jesus holds you." No emotional manipulation. No altar-call pressure. Just the steady promise of what God has already done for you in Christ. 🎥 Watch the full message and breathe again.

"Abide: Why Faith Stops Working" Pastor Frank Hart
Most Christians don't struggle with belief. They struggle with connection. If you've ever wondered why your faith feels thinner than it used to… why patience runs out by Tuesday… why love feels more like effort than overflow… This sermon isn't about trying harder. It's about staying connected. 👉 "You can't live a full-time faith on a part-time connection." 👉 "Fruit doesn't come from effort—it comes from connection." 👉 "Abiding isn't work. It's rest." In this message, we talk about why living faith is so rare—even in us—and why the answer isn't guilt, discipline, or spiritual hustle, but staying close to Jesus. If your faith feels dry, distracted, or exhausted… this one's for you. Watch. Listen. Breathe again.

"Love isn't What You Think." Pastor Frank Hart
We talk about love all the time—but we usually mean like. We love chocolate. We love our favorite song. We love people who are easy to love. But that's not what Jesus means when He says, "Love one another." In this sermon, we flip love right-side up and ask what it actually looks like when love costs us something, shows up in ordinary life, and gets handed to people who didn't earn it. As it turns out, "The fruit of the Spirit is not for you—it's for the people God puts in your life." And that changes everything about faith, work, family, and the way we treat each other. Most of us understand the assignment, we just refuse to do it. This message digs into the Fruit of the Spirit, Lutheran theology of vocation, and why "We know the assignment. We just refuse to do it." It's honest, a little uncomfortable, and deeply freeing—because the Gospel reminds us that "You are not the source. You are not the goal. You are the delivery system." You don't need more love in your life—you need to give it away.

James: Making Sense of the Bible | Pastor Frank Hart
In this quick flyover of the Book of James: 1. Have you ever noticed his way of teaching sounds more like Jesus than any other epistle in the New Testament? 2. "Between Tragedy and Happily Ever After" | Pastor Frank Hart
Most of us don't struggle to believe in God. We struggle to believe that this moment isn't the whole story. When life hurts, we assume it's final. When the world feels broken, we wonder if God lost the plot. But the Bible isn't a collection of random stories or inspirational quotes. It's one story—honest, messy, and stubbornly hopeful—from beginning to end. Here's the line to hold onto today: If you ever find yourself in a bad situation, that doesn't mean the story is over. And this one's worth writing down: The only difference between a tragedy and a happily ever after is where you stop telling the story. Today we're going to take a flyover of the Bible—from Genesis to Jesus—to see the story God has been telling all along… and why your story is going somewhere good.

"Good Grief… Christmas Is for Losers" | Pastor Frank Hart
Christmas is usually presented as a season for people who have it together—full houses, happy endings, and neatly wrapped joy. But the story we're given in Scripture tells a different truth. In this Christmas Eve message, we meet a God who comes not for the successful, but for the weary… not for the confident, but for the fearful… not for the winners, but for those who feel like life hasn't worked out the way they hoped. Through the words of Isaiah, the promise of the angels, and the story behind A Charlie Brown Christmas, we'll see how God's good news meets us in our disappointment, loosens our grip on false security, and gives us a gift we never thought could really be for us. This is the good news of great joy—for losers like us. "Faith doesn't make suffering disappear—it just means suffering doesn't get the last word." "Life keeps handing us empty boxes." "Sure, it's the same gift He gave you last year—but it's still the best."

"What Kind of Theologian Are You?" | Angel Hart
Today's message is from Angel Hart. Angel shares a story about Chuck E. Cheese that turns out to be more theological than you'd expect—and reflects on what's been surprising and formative during his time at seminary in St. Louis. At the heart of the message is a simple but challenging question: What kind of theologian are we really—and who is forming whom? Is God shaped by our expectations, or are we being shaped by His Word and the cross of Christ? Mic-drop lines you'll hear today: "The theologian of glory doesn't just live out there—he lives in me." "The Christian life isn't about getting God on my terms, but surrendering to the One who loves me." Let's listen as Angel points us again to Christ crucified—the wisdom and power of God.

"A Home Unbroken" Isaiah 66:18-23
Christmas is supposed to be peaceful. So why does it feel like emotional dodgeball with people you love? Some things aren't funny when there's an empty chair. Some relationships didn't magically heal this year. And some of us are just trying not to take the bait at dinner. This message isn't about fixing your family. It's about the hope that God is fixing the world. "You may not be able to heal the fractures in your family, but you can refuse to make them deeper." Grace and peace. 🎄 A Home Unbroken Watch now.

"JUNK FOOD FAITH VS. GOD'S FEAST" Isaiah 55:1-5
If your soul has been living off spiritual junk food — approval cravings, doom-scrolling, porn, perfectionism, hustle culture, and "Christianity but without the cross"... This week's sermon is basically God shaking us by the shoulders and shouting: "Stop eating out of the trash — dinner is ready." Mic-drop lines: • "We are allergic to grace. We hate grace." • "The gospel is a party where you bring less than nothing and end up getting everything." • "Only Jesus says, 'It is finished. I did it for you.'" • "Some people imagine heaven is a 24/7 worship concert. I hope there's at least snacks." If you're hungry for something that actually satisfies — this is the feast of grace.

Acts 20:17-38 "A Farewell Message"
This is a dive into Paul's farewell in Acts 20—the part where grown men ugly-cry on a beach because ministry actually mattered to them. If you've ever wondered why people drift, why it hurts, and why your life is always preaching even when your mouth isn't… yeah, we're going there. "Falling Asleep In Church" Acts 20:1-16
If you've ever nodded off in church, this sermon is for you. And if you haven't… well, give it time. We all take a little spiritual nap now and then. Today we're looking at one of the wildest moments in the Book of Acts—the night Paul literally preached someone to death. And then brought him back to life. Try topping that with a sermon illustration. Here's the thing: Everyone jokes about "falling asleep in church," but the real danger isn't dozing off during the message. "It's not sin that gets us first — it's sleepiness." The world lulls us into spiritual drowsiness, and we don't even notice it happening. Meanwhile, Jesus is over here yelling, "Wake up," not because He's annoyed, but because "falling asleep in faith is inevitable; but being raised by Christ is certain." This message isn't a guilt trip. It's not caffeine for your conscience. It's about the God who refuses to let you stay asleep. "He doesn't just forgive you — He wakes you up." And trust me, you're going to want to hear what happens when He does. So buckle up, stretch if you need to, and—no promises—but I'll try not to preach long enough for anyone to fall out of a window. Let's jump in.

Acts 19:21–41 "No Little Disturbance"
What happens when Jesus starts messing with your economy? When faith stops being a hobby and starts costing you something? In Acts 19, the people of Ephesus lose their minds because the Gospel hits them right where it hurts—their wallets. Paul preaches that "gods made with hands are not gods," and suddenly the idol industry crashes. That's what the Gospel does—it disrupts business as usual. It threatens the systems that profit from our sin. And when Jesus becomes Lord of your life, all your lesser lords panic. Mic drops: "When faith gets real, it shakes things up." "When Jesus becomes Lord of your life, all your lesser lords panic." "The Gospel wins the day—not by shouting louder, but by outlasting the noise." "The Gospel doesn't just rearrange your playlists—it rewrites your song." This message is called "No Little Disturbance." Because when the real God shows up, all the fake ones start a riot. "When Darkness Meets Real Power" Acts 19:8-21
Halloween's over—but the darkness didn't get the memo. This week we're talking about what happens when fake power meets real power, when superstition and control games run head-first into Jesus. Spoiler: the darkness loses. Every. Single. Time. 💬 Mic-drop moments: "Light moves into darkness. Darkness pushes back. And light wins—every single time." "We can't just tack Jesus onto our life like a magic charm and expect it to work." "When darkness meets real power, something's gonna burn—and it doesn't have to be you." "Not Today, Pastor Pushy" (Acts 19:1–7)
"Not Today, Pastor Pushy" (Acts 19:1–7) Ever been told you're "not spiritual enough"? That you just need to feel it more, cry harder, or speak in tongues to prove you've got the Holy Spirit? Yeah… same. This week's message by Pastor Frank is about what it really means to be baptized in the name of Jesus— and how the Holy Spirit isn't something you earn by emotional gymnastics. 💧 It's not a performance. It's a promise. 🍞 It's not hype. It's grace. 🔥 If you're baptized, you already have the Spirit. Mic drop quotes: "The gifts of the Holy Spirit aren't a merit badge." "You don't need to fake it or chase it. Just rest in it." "Baptism tells you who you are. Communion reminds you Whose you are." "The Spirit doesn't beg you to perform; He helps you love."

"You're Not Qualified — and That's Exactly Who God Wants" Acts 18:18-24
You don't have to be the complete discipleship package — you just have to do your part. That's how God's been building His Church since day one: imperfect people passing on perfect grace. 💬 "God's been running His Church on unqualified people since day one." 💬 "If we make it all about us, we'll stay stuck on the cliff talking about gravity." 💬 "When we stop making faith about ourselves and start helping someone else — boom! — all the courage we need shows up." "Religious Trauma and Deconstruction" | Rev Frank Hart | 10-05-25
Ever noticed how many people have been walking away from church? Pastors. Musicians. Friends. Maybe even your kids. Maybe even you. Here's the truth—people don't usually leave because they stopped believing. They leave because they've been hurt. By hypocrisy. By spiritual abuse. By a version of Christianity that forgot the Gospel isn't "try harder"… it's "It is finished." This week's message is for the wounded and the ones who want to help— its and answer for those who've been hurt by the church, and those of us who need to repent for how we've misrepresented Jesus. 💔 There's still hope. ✝️ Jesus is still gentle and lowly in heart. 🔥 And His grace is still strong enough to heal what religion broke. 1st Corinthians Flyover MSOTB | Rev Frank Hart | 9-28-25
Corinth was the original "hot mess church." Divisions, lawsuits, scandal, communion like a frat party, worship like a Red Bull kindergarten—yeah, they made today's craziest charismaniacal freakshows look like Sunday naptime. But Paul didn't just yell "do better." He kept pointing them back to the only thing that holds a church together: the cross of Jesus. The cross isn't just at the center of Christianity—it is Christianity. This Sunday at NewChurch: 1 Corinthians Flyover. Come hear how God takes a dumpster fire church (like Corinth… like us) and keeps it alive by the foolish power of Christ crucified and risen. Acts 17:22-34 "Mars Hill Brave" | Rev Frank Hart | 9-14-25
Paul stood on Mars Hill and told the intellectual elite, "What you worship as unknown, I proclaim to you." This week, we looked at that sermon — and yeah, we tied in Charlie Kirk's assassination and what it means to be "Mars Hill brave" in our own cultural battleground. "There's no argument that can disprove truth, so the only response is always violence." "Only good people go to heaven — and there's only one truly good person. His name is Jesus." Some mocked Paul, some delayed, a few believed. Same responses today. Join us: https://www.NewChurch.Love Please Help support more content like this by texting the word "Give" to 832-400-5299.

Acts 17:16-21 "Idols" | Rev Frank Hart | 9-7-25
Athens had Zeus, Athena, and Apollo. We've got money, sports, politics, and little glowing screens in our pockets. Same idols. New packaging. The problem? We don't even notice them anymore. Paul was disgusted. We're entertained. 💥 "If idols don't bother you, they'll consume you." 💥 "The scariest idol is the one that doesn't bother us anymore." Want the truth? Don't settle for what's new when what you need is what's true. Catch the sermon from Acts 17:16–21 this Sunday. 1st Thessalonians (MSOTB) | Rev Frank Hart | 8-24-25
The church in Thessalonica was barely out of diapers when Paul wrote to them — and they were already getting mobbed for 'turning the world upside down.' Funny how the Gospel always does that. Disrupts. Offends. Wrecks people's comfort zones. They were newbies but they seemed to be rockin' it. Meanwhile, we lose our religion if Chick-fil-A runs out of Avocado Ranch. Paul told the Thessalonians: 'This is the will of God, your sanctification.' Translation: God cares about how you live. Holiness matters. Purity matters. Love matters. And let's be honest — we don't exactly nail that every day. But here's the good news: 'He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.' That's the mic drop. Jesus finishes what we can't. So if you've ever wondered how to hold on to your faith when the world feels upside down — this one's for you. Watch or listen now. Angel Hart — "The Weight of Yes" | 8-17-25
Angel just preached his last sermon at NewChurch before heading to seminary. Spoiler: he got engaged, he's packing up the CRV for St. Louis, and he dropped some truth bombs along the way: "If your yes to Jesus still leaves you living for yourself, you didn't really say yes — you just said maybe." "Our yes to Jesus changes our lives, but His yes to us changes our eternity." "When I proposed to Sophie, she said yes — but only because I said yes first. That's the Gospel. Jesus said yes to us before we ever said yes to Him." If you've ever struggled with commitment, fear, or wondering what your "yes" really means, you'll want to watch this one. Acts 17:1-15 "#RYFB" | Rev Frank Hart | 8-10-25
You ever notice how people have really strong opinions about the Bible… without actually reading it? We scroll memes, share quotes ripped out of context, argue about "what Jesus would do" like it's a group project, and then quietly hope nobody asks us where any of that's actually written. It's like cramming for the final exam of life by… watching the movie trailer. You get the general vibe, but you miss the actual story—and then you're shocked when the test is full of questions you've never even heard of. Today we're going to meet two groups of people who heard the same message about Jesus. One group grabbed pitchforks, the other grabbed their Bibles. And spoiler alert—the Bible-readers changed the world. So yeah—this isn't just about them. This is about us. (Edited to full length)

Acts 16:25-40 "Midnight Singing" | Rev Frank Hart | 7-27-25
"If your faith never costs you anything, it's probably not faith in Jesus." That's the sermon. Paul and Silas got thrown in prison, beaten, and still sang worship songs at midnight. Meanwhile, we're mad if someone parks in our usual spot. This one's about pain, purpose, and why God might not be trying to get you out of the hard place—but use you in it. Catch the replay. And maybe ask yourself what your midnight song sounds like. Join us: https://www.NewChurch.Love Please Help support more content like this by texting the word "Give" to 832-400-5299.

Acts 16:16-24 "Who Do You Trust?" | Rev Frank Hart | 7-20-25
"If the only voice you trust is your own—you're being discipled by a liar and a fool." Oof. That one left a mark. We all want to believe we're following truth… but how do you know who to trust anymore? Politicians? Influencers? Yourself? Your spiritual Spotify playlist? This week at NewChurch, we talked about competing voices, the lies we buy into, and what happens when God's truth disrupts the noise. 🔗 Catch up on the message now and ask yourself: Who do you trust? P.S. In this sermon, I mentioned that "pythons and seraphim are the same word in the Bible." That's not technically true. They're actually different words in different languages—"python" (Greek, Acts 16) refers to a spirit of divination, while "seraphim" (Hebrew, Isaiah 6) are heavenly beings associated with fire and God's throne. That said—both are linked with serpents in Scripture. One is a deceiving spirit, the other a burning angelic presence. Both are spiritual powers. But one lies. The other worships. In Numbers 21, God sends seraph serpents (seraphim) to bite the people for their rebellion. The people repent, and Moses is told to make a bronze serpent and lift it up—foreshadowing Christ (John 3:14). The seraph as a fiery serpent shares symbolic space with the Python spirit—both are serpent figures associated with spiritual power, but one is from God's judgment and the other from pagan deception. Thanks for listening closely, for your grace, and for being part of this messy, beautiful journey of learning God's Word together. Acts 16:1-10 "Closed Doors" | Rev Frank Hart | 7-6-25
"Closed Doors (Acts 16:6–10)" Ever had a dream die? A plan crumble? A door slam shut right on your fingers while you were trying to pry it open in Jesus' name? Yeah. Us too. Paul had the Spirit of Jesus tell him "Nope" (twice!) before finally getting a vision to head somewhere he hadn't even planned. Turns out God is better at Google Maps than we are. This message is for anyone who's ever been frustrated by redirection and divine silence. Spoiler: Closed doors might be the best thing that ever happened to you. Acts 16:1-5 "Comfort Zone" | Rev Frank Hart | 6-29-25
Jesus loves you just the way you are… but also wants you to knock it off and get out of your comfort zone. 😬 This week's sermon is all about giving up perfectly good things—for perfectly better reasons. Like the Gospel. And love. And maybe even wearing something other than black. Some of us are way too loud with our opinions. Others are way too quiet with our faith. This week's sermon asks one simple question: what are you willing to give up so someone else can actually see Jesus in you? It's about comfort zones, spiritual pride, and loving people more than being right. So yeah… it's not super comfortable. Watch anyway. Acts 15:30-41 "God Writes Comebacks" | Rev Frank Hart | 6-22-25
Ever feel like you've messed up so bad there's no coming back? Like you're permanently in someone's "Do Not Trust" file—or worse, your own? Yeah, us too. This week's message is called "God Writes Comebacks"—because He does. Even when people give up on you. Even when you give up on you. Even when your idea of a good church service involves fog machines, metal music, and letting the devil preach (true story—watch to believe it). Before you write someone off—or yourself—give this a listen. You might just find God isn't done with you yet. 🎧💥🎸 #SecondChances #Acts15 #ComebackSeason #NewChurch Join us: https://www.NewChurch.Love Please Help support more content like this by texting the word "Give" to 832-400-5299.
