    One of the most misunderstood topics of the Bible is healing. So many a charlatan has made a fortune by claiming the power to heal at any given time. Does God heal? You better believe that He does, but what He does and how He does it can be very misunderstood. Listen to the teaching of James as he addresses the subject of healing.

    Nathaniel has a living encounter with the Lord Jesus and is awestruck by his revelation. The revelation that He knew him before they ever formally met. The truth is God is the one that is looking for us and not the other way around.

    King David will utter his final sayings but at the same time will determine who will guard the king, the palace and lead the guard. Benaiah will step forward and take on this great task and will leave an example of how we are to be courageous in all of life's challenges. The church is looking for such a champion.

    Noah sent out a raven and a dove after the flood. The raven did not return because it found rest on the floating dead carcasses while the dove found no rest for its feet because she refused to rest on the dead and stinky bodies. The believer is to have no rest on the things that they should be dead to and be as the dove continually returning to the safety of the ark (Jesus).

    Father into thy hands I commit my spirit

    The barrier that separated man and God was the temple veil. At the time of his sixth statement, the veil was rent in twain from top to bottom. The barrier between God and man has been removed and has now given access to God.

    The fifth statement from the cross is not one of defeat but one of victory. He will now utter the words that will demonstrate that he was receiving the condemnation of sin upon himself in order that those that trust in him would never be separated from the love of God.

    All things having been fulfilled Jesus will now utter the fourth saying from the cross. Nothing could be done until he was ready and he that knew no sin would become sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

    The third saying from the cross is when Jesus addresses his mother and his apostle John. He would take responsibility for her earthly care as well as her eternal needs in giving his life for Mary but also for everyone that would call upon him.
