No Never Alone

One of the most misunderstood topics of the Bible is healing. So many a charlatan has made a fortune by claiming the power to heal at any given time. Does God heal? The fifth statement from the cross is not one of defeat but one of victory. He will now utter the words that will demonstrate that he was receiving the condemnation of sin upon himself in order that those that trust in him would never be separated from the love of God.

All things having been fulfilled Jesus will now utter the fourth saying from the cross. Nothing could be done until he was ready and he that knew no sin would become sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

The third saying from the cross is when Jesus addresses his mother and his apostle John. He would take responsibility for her earthly care as well as her eternal needs in giving his life for Mary but also for everyone that would call upon him.

Three crosses on Calvary and two malefactors between the Messiah. One mocks and rails on Jesus while the other recognizes who He is and seeks favor. This is the second saying from the cross.

The following Sunday will be the highlight of the Christian calendar and we will celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
