Arroyo Grande with Raymond Arroyo - Prayerful Posse: Cardinal Burke on Why the Young are Returning to the Latin Mass
Why are young Catholics flocking to the Traditional Latin Mass? In this powerful and deeply moving episode of The Prayerful Posse, Raymond Arroyo welcomes Cardinal Raymond Burke—on the 50th anniversary of his priesthood—for a candid and illuminating conversation about the beauty, reverence, and spiritual depth of the ancient Roman Rite. Cardinal Burke explains how the Latin Mass offers a transcendent encounter with Christ, why facing East matters, and how sacred music like Gregorian chant roots us in centuries of worship. He shares personal stories, insights into Church tradition, and the growing hunger among the faithful—especially the youth—for something more meaningful than modern liturgical trends. They also unpack the link between sacred worship and moral clarity, why reverence matters, and how parishes that embrace tradition are seeing more vocations and conversions. If you've ever wondered what draws so many back to the Latin Mass, or why its defenders are so passionate, this is the episode for you. The Family Room - Can We Trust God?
Guest: Dr. Bob Schuchts, founder of the John Paul II Healing Center and authorWhen you watch God provide in miraculous ways, it changes you. Dr. Bob Schuchts witnessed this firsthand when good friends were facing a bleak Christmas. Their deep faith and bold prayers were answered so quickly and precisely that it could only have been God. He envied their trust.Witnessing unbelievable answers to prayer became the catalyst for Bob’s decision to help find healing for a common wound - our lack of trust. As a therapist and teacher, he would spend years learning to depend on God in those areas of his own life where trust mattered most. The fruit of those years led to the founding of the John Paul II Healing Center, whose mission is to embody the teachings of Pope St. John Paul II by bringing restoration and healing into the lives of those seeking a deeper intimacy with God.In his book, Trusting Our Father’s Provision, Dr. Schuchts shares a very personal testimony of learning how to lean into God, giving us the big picture and a biblical vision of trusting God in everything. This approach encourages us to seek the root of our struggles so we can learn to fully trust God with our life and possessions. Biography: Dr. Bob Schuchts, Ph.D. spent more than 30 years as a marriage and family therapist while also teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in marriage and family relationships, human development and applied psychology. He held adjunct professor positions at Florida State University, Tallahassee Community College, and the Center for Biblical Studies in Tallahassee, Florida. He has also taught courses at the Theology of the Body Institute and the Augustine Institute. He founded the John Paul II Healing Center in 2004. Today it is flourishing as a national ministry with a dedicated and talented team who works in parishes and seminaries around the country as well as bringing people to their home-base in Tallahassee, Fla. Helping bishops, priests, seminarians, and the laity encounter God in a new way, the John Paul II Healing Center is working to bring transformation in the heart of the Church by teaching, healing, and equipping. Dr. Bob Schuchts is the author of several best-selling books and resources which are available through the Center. He also has a podcast called Restore the Glory.RESOURCES:John Paul II Healing Center websiteTrusting Our Father’s Provision by Dr. Bob SchuchtsBe Healed by Dr. Bob SchuchtsRestore the Glory Podcast

Catholic Answers Live - #10230 Life After Death - Karlo Broussard
Questions Covered: 16:00 – If the divine grace Christ merited can be “applied” at any point in time, why did the righteous have to wait in Abraham’s bosom?19:12 – If it is taught that if you reach a certain level of charity, you can immediately go to heaven, but charity is solely to will the good the other, how does this other motive of getting to heaven not undercut what charity truly is?25:06 – What is Limbo? Why was it removed? When did the doctrine of “universal salvation” emerge?28:30 – Do we know what the sensation of purgatory is? Is it physically or spiritually painful? Will we be aware that we are in purgatory?38:30 – My mom just passed away; we miss her. My dad asked that even though we know that she is happy in heaven, does she feel separation from us in the same way we feel separated from her? So, she wouldn’t be sad, but does she feel any lack like we feel without her?46:43 – I just started reading “Purgatory is for Real” and I’m not clear on why if our sins are forgotten by God, why do we “dwell” on them in a sense, and why need purgatory at all?2:32 – I suffer from scrupulosity. I tend to view God as a God who will send us to hell at the tiniest little mistake. How do I view God as a more loving and merciful God? Is it possible to go to hell if we are not sure if we committed a mortal sin or not?…

Deep in Scripture Radio - A Post-Thanksgiving Reflection - Marcus Grodi
For last week's special Thanksgiving episode, Marcus Grodi shared a portion of a sermon he gave as part of a Thanksgiving service back when he was a Presbyterian pastor in 1985. That message focused on Philippians 4:4-7, in which St. Paul calls us to present our requests to God with gratitude already in our hearts. Marcus follows up this week by focusing on the verses that immediately follow that passage. In Philippians 4:8-9, St. Paul gives us a template of how to guard our hearts and mind from the world, the flesh and the devil, which bombard us with temptations of every kind. Rather than fall to those temptations, Paul offers us this challenge: "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you." For more episodes of Deep in Scripture, visit www.deepinscripture.com
