Walking By The Spirit: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 5:10-18
This podcast episode captures the passionate and pastoral heart of Paul as he calls believers to live out the true purpose of their freedom in Christ. It balances a strong warning against false teachers and spiritual compromise with a deeply encouraging vision of what Christian freedom means—not self-indulgence, but a transformed life marked by love, service, and unity. Mark and Cindy discuss the inner tension between flesh and Spirit, urging listeners to join them in their determination to walk daily in step with the Spirit to overcome destructive desires and habits. At its core, this message reminds believers that freedom in Christ is not an escape from responsibility, but an invitation into a richer, more purposeful life—one that fulfills God’s law through love and reflects His character in every relationship.

Keep Standing Firm: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 5.1-9
This podcast episode opens Galatians chapter 5 with a bold and urgent call to remain anchored in the freedom Christ secured.Mark and Cindy explore how easily that freedom can be compromised when believers return to anything to build a worldview on, but God's truth, especially false teaching, and how even small distortions can spread and undermine the truth. The discussion highlights the danger of substituting manmade or Old Testament practices for genuine faith, making clear that true righteousness is found only in obedience to Christ— being expressed through a faith that actively works in love to glorify Him. With both warning and encouragement, the episode challenges listeners to stand firm, reject spiritual compromise, and continue running their race with endurance, grounded in truth and led by the Spirit.

You, Brethren, Are Children of Promise: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 4.21-31
In this podcast, Mark and Cindy unpack Paul’s powerful allegory at the close of Galatians chapter 4, contrasting the two covenants through the story of Abraham’s sons. Using Hagar and Sarah as vivid symbols, they explore the difference between a life bound to the Old Testament Law—marked by spiritual slavery—and a life born of God’s promise, defined by freedom from sin and joyous, obedient faith. The episode highlights how God says believers, like Isaac, are children of promise, brought into His family not by natural means, but through the Spirit according to God's kept promise. With urgency and clarity, Paul’s message calls listeners to reject any return to spiritual bondage within the Mosaic Law and to instead fully embrace their identity as heirs of the free woman. Ultimately, it’s a call to live in the freedom of the New Covenant—rooted in grace, sustained by faith in Christ, fully confident in the promises of God.

No Longer A Slave, But A Son: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 4.6-20
This podcast episode brings to life the deeply personal and emotional heart of Galatians chapter 4, where Paul reminds believers of their intimate relationship with God as adopted sons and heirs. It explores the powerful gift of the Spirit, enabling these first-generation Christians to cry “Abba, Father,” and contrasts their freedom found only in Christ with the spiritual bondage of returning to the Mosaic, Old Testament Law, or their past, empty pagan religious practices. Mark and Cindy also discuss Paul’s concern and confusion as he watches those he loves drift backward, trading their genuine relationship with God for rituals and external observances once required by the previous covenant. Through Paul's heartfelt appeal, both the Galatians and we ourselves are challenged to examine our own spiritual consistency, rekindle our gratitude, and remain grounded in Biblical truth. Ultimately, this message is a call to live in the fullness of sonship—guided by the Spirit, rooted in love, and unwavering in faith.

Being Spiritually Adopted by God: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 4.1-5
How faith building the depth of God’s plan, the intentional timing of Christ’s arrival as the Messiah, and that through Jesus, believers are no longer slaves of the Old Testament, but are instead, heirs within our intimate relationship with the Father! In this podcast, Mark and Cindy explore the opening of Galatians chapter 4, where God, through the Apostle Paul, uses the illustration of an heir to reveal the transition from spiritual immaturity to full sonship in Christ. In these verses, God explains how, under the Law of Moses, His people were like children—restricted and guided, and not yet able to fully access their inheritance, until, at the perfect moment in history, God sent His Son, born under the Mosiacal Law, to redeem those bound by that Law, to elevate them into an initmate relationship with Him by being spiritually adopted sons and daughters!

All One in Christ Jesus: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 3:15-29
This podcast highlights how the covenant given to Abraham was fulfilled ultimately in Jesus Christ— and how the Old Testament, that is, the Law of Moses, served as a temporary guide to expose sin and lead humanity toward Christ. Mark and Cindy explore God's emphasis that righteousness and inheritance come by promise, not by Old Testament Law, and that faith in Christ brings true freedom from spiritual bondage. Listeners are invited to reflect on the beauty of unity in Christ, where disunity fades, and believers are made one, clothed in Him through faith and baptism. Ultimately, the episode encourages a life of faithful obedience and trust, reminding us that those who belong to Christ are heirs to the promise, walking in the same faith that defined Abraham.

Receiving the Promise of the Spirit through Faith: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 3:10-14
This podcast episode dives into the powerful continuation of Paul’s argument in Galatians, exposing the weight and impossibility of relying on the Law for justification. It unpacks how anyone who depends on the Law is under a curse, since true obedience would require perfect adherence—something no human can achieve. At the center of the message is Christ’s redemptive act: by becoming a curse on our behalf, He frees humanity from the burden of the Law and opens the door for all—Jew and Gentile alike—to receive the blessing promised to Abraham. Through this lens, the episode calls listeners to embrace the accessibility and universality of the New Covenant, where the promise of the Spirit is given not by works of the Mosaic Law, but through obedient faith in Jesus Christ under the New Covenant.

Sons of Abraham by Faith: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 3:1-9
In this podcast, Mark and Cindy explore Paul’s urgent, inspired message to the Galatians, challenging their misguided return to the Old Covenant despite the transformative power of the New Covenant through Jesus Christ. With vivid language, Paul confronts their spiritual confusion, reminding them that they received the Holy Spirit not through works of the Law, but through faith. The episode unpacks the Biblical relationship between obedience and divine grace, emphasizing that true righteousness—just as in Abraham’s case—has always been rooted in obedient faith and trust in God’s promises. Through Scripture and thoughtful insight, this episode calls believers to remain steadfast, finish strong, and embrace the freedom and blessing found in a faith-centered relationship with God.

I Live by Faith in the Son of God: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 2.11-21
In this scripture hike, Mark and Cindy explore the second half of Galatians 2, where Paul recounts a powerful moment when he confronted Peter in Antioch for withdrawing from eating with Gentile believers out of fear of criticism from Jewish Christians. This public rebuke showed that even respected leaders can stumble when fear and social pressure replace the truth of the gospel. Paul reminded Peter that the message of Christ breaks down the old barriers—there is neither Jew nor Gentile, and no one is justified by the works of the Mosaic law but through faith in Jesus. Returning to the old system would only rebuild what Christ had already fulfilled. Instead, believers are called to a new life: dying to the old law and living for God. As Paul beautifully summarizes, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” The Christian life is now lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us, and trusting in that grace ensures that Christ’s sacrifice was not in vain.

So That The Truth of the Gospel would Remain with You: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 2: 1-10
In this episode, Mark and Cindy explore Galatians 2:1–10, when Pau explains his return to Jerusalem fourteen years after his conversion. Guided not by human pressure but by divine revelation, Paul meets privately with respected leaders like Peter, James, and John to confirm that the gospel he preached to the Gentiles—salvation through Christ alone, free from the requirements of Jewish law—was the true message of grace. Through the example of Titus, a Greek believer who was not compelled to be circumcised, the episode highlights the early church’s struggle against those who sought to add legal burdens to the gospel. As we walk through this passage, we’ll see how Paul courageously defends the freedom believers have in Christ, preserves the truth of the gospel for future generations, and demonstrates the unity of God’s mission—one gospel going to both Jew and Gentile, with a shared calling to remember the poor and live obediently in response to the grace of God.

Preaching the Faith He Once Tried to Destroy: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 1:13-24
This episode explores the dramatic transformation of the Apostle Paul in the Epistle to the Galatians 1:13–24, tracing his journey from zealous persecutor of the church to passionate proclaimer of Christ. Reflecting on Paul’s own testimony, we examine his honest reckoning with a violent past, his refusal to minimize sin or be immobilized by guilt, and his wholehearted embrace of grace. Connecting his words with Epistle to the Philippians 3:7–9, we consider what it means to count former gains as loss for the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. From God’s sovereign calling “from the womb,” to all he accomplished, and the astonished response of the early believers, this conversation highlights the power of repentance, divine calling, and a life lived for the glory of God alone.

No Other Gospel: A Scripture Hike through Galatians 1:1-12
This episode, Mark and Cindy explore the weight of Paul's divine calling, the danger of manmade religion, and the freedom found only in the unaltered gospel. Through Paul’s testimony and bold rebuke, we are challenged to examine what we believe, why we believe it, and whether we are seeking the approval of God or of men.
