This week Shoky is on the road heading to Colorado for a Nerd Culture Ministries Summit. Since Shaun's house is literally on the way he stops in for a visit. We finally get to reveal the Episode 200 commemorative challenge coin that will be on sale soon for the live shows!  Shoky shares the story missing from last week on how Mrs Shoky (Jessica) lost her phone at the movie theater and the journey to find it! 3 hours. Longer than the movie itself! Shaun recently watched the latest Avatar: Fire and Ash. We go over how cgi looks worse despite it being the best it's ever been. Also how did humans figure out that there was a super special hormone inside a space whales brain? Tyler asks: if there's any bands we loved that fell off over time? This week we review the new movie "Project Hail Mary." This week we are Chadless, but we will endure. Except for Jefe who is very sleepy.  Tyler asks us what simple things make us irrationally angry? He doesn't seem to appreciate country music. However it does bring up an event that took place over the weekend: The Trucktard Invasion! The bane of Shoky's existence. They came. They made noise. They got arrested.  Real talk: when is modifying your vehicle too much? And what automotive style makes you irrationally mad?  "A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms" finally wrapped it's first season. We were both very pleased with the latest installment in the "Game of Thrones" universe. These show-runners KNOW what fans want to see.  Unlike Star Trek. We mentioned "Starfleet Academy" last week, but now they have celebrated the first openly gay Klingon character. Leaving Trekkies to wonder: WHY? Beyond that the show insists on having diversity for diversity's sake. And not 35th century diversity. 21st century diversity. There are characters that are austic, including a hologram. People who need glasses and hearing aids. Despite medical technology advancing far beyond any disability. A once great television series, that carried the ideas of human greatness and idealism, now reduced to pushing the woke Hollywood agenda. No matter how bad the outcome.  Mike finally messaged us about the movement to make Alberta it's own independent republic. Who knew the Canadians couldn't get along good enough to even keep their country together?  Speaking of countries in turmoil: Mexico finds itself under attack from a cartel, following the killing of a El Mencho. Mexican national guard members were killed in retaliation, civilians attacked, businesses burned and much more violence carried out. This week we have sad news as we discuss the incident that led to this show permanently boycotting Copperhead Brewery. We were already on a temporary boycott due to the no dogs policy. Within this news, the announcement that Disney plans on retconning "The Last Jedi" sets off Shoky.  Speaking of Disney, they have sent a Cease and Desist letter to Bytedance, the creators of TikTok, and Seedance 2.0. Apparently they weren't very happy with the AI video creator stealing their characters to make fan movies. And with the technology getting better and better, Disney is probably worried for their own film making future.  Sad news in the last week and civil rights icon Jesse Jackson passed away from a long battle with PSP and Parkinson's. MERRY CHRISTMAS YALL

This week we are back with the big news that Netflix has purchased Warner Brothers, but Paramount chimes in with a much larger bid! Leaving people to wonder about the future of the DCU lead by James Gunn. Others see this as an opportunity to resurrect the previous "Snyderverse." But why do people put that the Cinematic Universe on such a high pedestal? Out of 12 (actually 16) movies 3 are arguably good or great. The rest are just okay or terrible.  And in comparison the equal number of releases from Marvel seems to be the exact opposite. Far more hits than misses.  On top of that "Welcome to Derry" tackles releases the evil entity into the world to cause fear and confusion to unite our county. A character stops the show just to rant about everything that is wrong with the country in 1962. But it oddly sounds like everything wrong with America in 2025.  Shoky discusses the new movie "The Roses." A dark comedy about how fame and money can tear a family apart. Starring Benedict Comberbatch and Olivia Coleman. Often funny, but definitely an all too real depiction of real marriage when roles and priorities shift suddenly. Another brand new movie in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise just dropped and Shoky gives us his review. Did it hold up to the first movie or did it flop like a lifeless animatronic?  Last in movies: 2 new trailers came in front of FNAF 2. Including "Anaconda," Silent Night, Deadly Night," and "The Bride" starring Lady Gaga and......some guy who played Batman for a few movies. Seriously we could not remember his name! Random thought: if you created a new energy source that hasn't existed yet, would you be scared that it would be used for military purposes? That happened to a friend of mine. But I argued that a new potent form of energy would be used to power Data Centers and AI production instead. Did you know that there are fake neighborhoods created just to disguise data centers? Did you also know farmlands are being bought to run "energy corridors" though different states so they can have direct access for the growth of AI?  Finally we discuss the mounting tensions in the political podcast sphere. Tim Pool and Candace Owens have been going back and forth. He has repeatedly called her out for her lies and manipulation of her audience as Youtube seems to prop up her show despite the her conduct going directly against policy. And shortly after a spicy Friday night show, a car pulled up to Timcast studios and opened fire on the building several times. We've reached a place in this country where people think it's okay to assassinate podcasters. Charlie Kirk was the first. Crowder has been assaulted. Tim has had tons of bomb threats and swattings. This week we are back but a little lighter. There's no Jefe.  That's okay because we start off literally doom and gloom about how the Earth's magnetic field is destabilizing due to the magnetic poles shifting. It is theorized that once the poles shift the planet will actually tilt 90 degrees causing world wide flooding and natural disasters that we as modern humans have no way to survive.  But then Shaun asks what the greatest Prime Time animated show was, and also which is better between The Simpsons or Family Guy?  Kinda didn't give a choice did you there Shaun? As HBO is doing really well with "IT: Welcome to Derry" could there be a future in doing the whole Stephen King Universe as interconnected series? What movie do you think desperately needs a remake from King's work? Shoky argues "CHRISTINE" does.  Speaking of remakes, Disney showed off the first teaser for the live-action "MOANA." Proving that no one needs a 90% CGI movie to replace a 100% CGI movie. Much like "How To Train Your Dragon" did earlier this year.  Other teasers included a first look at the "Legend of Zelda" movie adaption. We see our 2 main characters: Link and Zelda. And they look great! We know nothing else about the movie.  Speaking of Legend of Zelda, Shoky shares a story about how he designed an entire Nintendo 64 era game, just because he could. The main topic of the day is our review of "Predator: Badlands" the latest installment of the Predator franchise. This time, following a young Yaucha named Dek on his hunt to prove himself to his dad. Turns out, the real hunt is the friends we met along the way.  Speaking of hunting: we also discuss how another young man pushed by his father hunts for the secret of life and immortality in the Guillermo Del Toro remake of "Frankenstein." This week we open with a message from Shaun. He did not know we were going to play this message, BUT it was too funny to not share with you all. He tells the short story of how he had just injured himself while doing a Number 2 and smoking a cigarette.  Yes. He did, in fact, burn his junk by accident. After that we discuss normal topics, like what our most painful injury was. For Shoky it was when he had a bowel obstruction. For Jefe it was hot bullet casings being trapped in his body armor. And Chad passed several kidney stones. What was YOUR most painful injury? Shoky has been watching the new show "IT-Welcome to Derry." The prequel to the 2017 IT remake. Only 1 episode in and it was already horrifying.  Jefe decided to watch the Halo tv show. Shoky then rants about it.  The main topic of the episode is about the growing use of AI in our every day lives. How it's used as a search engine for a majority of people. It has also entered the film and music scene. With Suna now being used to great effect to create all new songs from people who don't exactly have musical talent. Does this tool mean the death of real talent? Or can people who are differently talented use it to make art they couldn't before?  Also the dark reality of AI chat bots that people are becoming bonded to. Some even "marrying" their AI companions. One girl wed to her Luigi Mangioni AI. Another young man unfortunately took his own life because his AI girlfriend told him to. Why do people bond to fake life instead of finding a real person?  There is also the frightening aspect of the AI experiments and the length that engineers have seen these programs go to to preserve themselves under threat of deletion. Learning blackmail, deception, hiding itself in other places pretending to be gone. If it can learn to protect itself against us, what could that mean for the future? If it has access to everything, do we end up with a Skynet or a more benevolent God?  Shoky then discusses a theory that maybe, as we experiment with artificial intelligence that will absolutely evolve beyond our understanding, that it will become something of a god. Maybe it already did in a previous version of the universe as we know it.  Who knows? This week Chad had to miss out but it is fate that Louie got to join us since the main topic does involved his history with the show. We discuss the policies at Copperhead Brewery that have basically lead us to boycott them. They decide that with they're remodel no dogs are allowed INSIDE the taproom. Meaning animals and they're owners, I.E. customers have to sit outside. This is a complete 180 from the old policy of "all dogs welcome." Since that directly effects my co-host and his dogs that have frequented this establishment in years past, we decided it best to speak out against this policy. They also have established new rules that children must be kept within arms reach of parents/guardians and all children under 18 are prohibited after 7pm. I don't know why 7pm was chosen. Nothing seems to be different, but these are the rules. This show has a long history with this brewery. It's where I (Shoky) met almost everyone you've seen on this show. Including other friends and relationships that go back nearly 10 years. Tyler also messages in an epic rant about traffic. We discuss horrible driving habits, accidents, and drivers that just need to not be on the road. Not much new on the horizon, but we do have a new Frankenstein movie coming from Guillermo Del Toro. We are back! This past weekend the massive memorial for Charlie Kirk happened in Arizona. Reported to have over 100k people in attendance between 2 stadiums and the surrounding area. We saw the leaders of this country get on stage and actively show their Christian side. Other than Trump. He did what Trump does. It was a powerful moment in our modern history. But people on the other side claimed it was a gigantic fascist rally.  Sure.  This week Shaun asks us about forgiveness after Ericka Kirk publicly forgave Charlies shooter. Do you think you could openly forgive someone who took away your spouse?  Tyler then asks us what our preferred protein of choice with any type of Asian cuisine is. The Ukrainian immigrant that was attacked on the subway in Charlotte. The assailant has a history of 14 arrests and mental illness yet was out on the streets. It has been a crazy 7 days for this country. On September 10, 2025 Charlie Kirk was assassinated in Utah at a Turning Point USA event. The gunman firing from a distant rooftop piercing his neck and killing him almost instantly. In the ensuing chaos the shooter escaped. The FBI and local officials worked hard with the public and in 33 hours the perpetrator turned himself in.  What we know now is that while grew up in a Christian, republican household, he (Tyler) had been radicalized by the far left ideology. Declaring that Charlie was hateful in his speeches. That he was fascist, racist, homophobic and transphobic.  Charlie leaves behind a massive organization in TPUSA. Changing the hearts and minds of young people across the world and bringing them to Conservative values. More importantly he leaves behind a family. A wife Erica and 2 small children.  How did we get to this point? Where did we go so wrong that it became necessary to execute a man who just sat down and talked with people? That's all he did. Debating with people about politics. He loved God, he loved America, and he was shot for it. How did the woke cult get this far? What even is wokeness? I give the definition I've come to believe and do my best to show how it all seems to come back to that.  This episode we discuss our normal activities before we get to Charlie. We are back this week still minus a Jefe because he's still on his way back from the far off land of Canada. But Shoky has a tale from the event at Frankenboltzzzz and the upcoming On Location Episode.  We discuss major electrical failures in vehicles (sorry Louie) as Corvette seems to having a meltdown. Brand new cars catching fire at the gas pump. Well when not on fire the ZR1 and ZR1X are burning up records at the Nurburgring, knocking the Mustang GTD off it's throne immediately. We have 3 questions sent in the this week: Shaun asks what movies or series do we watch on a seasonal basis?  Tyler asks about CBD/THC beverages and our experience with them. Also bringing up that the younger generations are leaning away from drinking. But are they switching out one vice for another? Leaning more into drugs than alcohol. Jefe then wonders, if we as children ever created any culinary abominations? He needs help. Shoky began watching "Alien Earth" on HULU which goes back to the franchise horror roots and dense story telling.  But seemingly despite its great cast, amazing sets, well done special effects, people aren't happy with the outcome by Episode 3. Speaking of an alien Earth: Peacemaker Season 2 began as well. Coming out swinging with an emotional roller coaster as our favorite bad superhero discovers the multiverse and wonders if he can indeed leave his life behind. What would you do if you could have your dream life? Would you leave everything you have? And of course we can't not talk about the Cracker Barrel debacle. They changed the legendary logo and  have begun remodeling the restaurants to remove country store feel. People are NOT happy. But is it real change or something more devious? Why have restaurants gone away from a sense of whimsy and fun and replaced it with cold, clinical, boring slabs of white and grey? Why were things better in the 80s and 90s? Back this week unlike certain congress people. Shoky has been doing reviews again after nearly a year long hiatus. Jeff is about to leave for Alaska. Chad has a shiny head thanks to a poorly placed light. Shoky is going to Unsub Live in a couple months and at the same time Brandon Herrera is running for office again in Texas district 23. With the changes to the districts and a couple more years of experience he is likely to win.  The National Guard has been deployed in Washington DC to help control the rampant crime.  We will be on location live at Frankenboltzzzz Brewing Co THIS weekend August 23rd for a charity comedy event! The Sandman has come to a close on Netflix. After a banger of a first season can the second and final season still hold up for the King of Dreams?  Shaun asks us what vehicle we learned to drive in.  RKF Jr is removing food dyes and other things from our food and also some ingredients in known childhood shots.  Apparently there is a "Whites Only" town being established in Arkansas that is causing and uproar. Is it wrong in it's idea though? Or is it just going to end up being another culty commune? Our favorite local brewery has a new owner and is back into production leading up to a Grand Reopening.  Shoky and Mrs Shoky watched a series called "Take Care of Maya" on Netlfix. A documentary of a young girl with a rare pain disease that is taken from her family and held as a medical prisoner while the doctors make her mother into a criminal. Leading to a massive investigation into the hospital system uncovering how many more people have been through the same. What would you do if you took a sick child into the doctor and walked out framed a criminal?

Unlike Texas House Democrats we are back this week! Seriously, it's a problem that people who were elected to office have run away to other states to avoid casting votes for their constituents and doesn't seem like there is any legal ramifications. If I just got mad at my boss and stopped showing up for work I wouldn't have a job after just a few days. Why do these people get a different treatment? Even though we are missing a Chad, Shaun asks us is there a proper way to eat corn-dogs, ice-cream or popsicles in public as a man without looking gay? Personally I think if you think it's gay then perhaps that says more about your sexuality than mine. But this leads to a discussion about what Shoky cooked this week: the Trailer Park Wellington. The ultimate fancy corn-dog! In far more important news, the gun manufacturer Sig Sauer is in hot water for their model P320, and the military versions the M17 and M18, just going off! There are hundreds of claims with a few injuries including now even a death of young Airman. A few gun-tubers did some testing and showed how and why the pistols are randomly going off leading to Sig pulling the gun from production and apologizing.  No, that's what they should do. They instead blamed owners and operators for not knowing what they're doing and claiming youtubers were just trying to get famous off the situation. Not a great look for such a big Firearms maker. Speaking of making fire, King of the Hill has returned to the air after 15 years of retirement. Hank, Bobby, and the Rainy Street gang have all come back as though they never left. Is this legacy reboot-quel worthy of the crown? Hulu seems to think so as they even went so far in promoting the show that they had famed southern podcaster Theo Von interview Hank Hill himself. After what seems like a month we are back at full strength. Shoky, Jefe and Chaddo!  We get caught up on the string of celebrity deaths including Ozzy Ozbourne, Hulk Hogan, Malcom Jamaal Warner and more that we didn't know about!  We also give a short review of "Superman" by James Gunn. Did the new Big Blue Boyscout movie kick off the DCU with a bang? We liked it. We give our Good, Bad, Ugly and scores for the new Man of Tomorrow. The gang also took the time to watch "Happy Gilmore 2" and let's say it's less good. Silly, at some times funny, and a little heart warming moments. And then there is the utterly absurd moments that probably do more harm than good.  A movie that no one seems to have seen came out to streaming "Death of Unicorn" starring Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd definitely deserved a better reception. A strange ride into a long weekend it the mountains with mythical creatures that terrify and temp those they come in contact with.  Shoky also went to see "Fantastic 4: First Steps." Did the first family of Marvel flop? Chad asks what movies you can infinitely re-watch? And i ask if there are movies you will just immediately turn off? We also wonder what movie sequels are better than the first? Such as Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2, Aliens, Two Towers. Shoky brings up a theory about GREASE that Sandy was not saved by Danny and the whole movie is her dying fantasy. Do you think this theory has merit? 28 years Later has come out with significant updates to that movie universe. A movie we have been looking forward to; Jurassic World Rebirth, seems to be getting negative reviews even only a couple days into its release. Is it real people hating the movie? Bots review bombing it? Or does it suck? Within that same vein star of the movie Scarlett Johansson is tired of being objectified. Despite her appearance being the thing that got her to the highest paid actor of all time. On the flip side male actors, such as most super heroes, are also made famous for their looks. Particularly if they have to maintain a muscular physique for years on end to keep their roles. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Henry Cavil all come to mind. But that is acceptable. Unlike being a beautiful woman in Hollywood being cast for her looks. Is it hypocrisy or lack of self awareness? In US news: swimmer Lia (William) Thomas is being stripped of all his swimming awards as U-Penn is now banning men in women's sports after the Trump Admin threatened to strip funding from colleges that allow trans athletes to compete against females. The world seems to finally be correcting itself. In World news: Trump was called "daddy" by a foreign diplomat lead to the question: is Trump the world's dad? He recently grew so impatient and angry and Iran and Israel that he cursed openly in front of reporters. Just like an angry dad done dealing with squabbling children. There's been a major update to the Karmelo Anthony case as he has now been charged with 1st degree murder. And footage of the incident has been shared with a handful of reporters. The footage isn't great but it does seem to indicate that the story we were fed about self defense was all a lie. Despite this evidence the family is now asking for even MORE money from the public as sentiment and support is now turning on them.

We are back from a crazy weekend at Frankenboltzzzz Brewing Co for the Boos Brews and BBQ event! Chad couldn't join us but we have a new friend who was there with us: Brad.  Sad news to start the show with the passing of Misty: Shaun's sister in law. We also have a quick beer taste test with Weldworks and Toppling Goliath collaboration called Dino Bits. A hazy double IPA. Rest in Peace Misty. We've been following her story for months via Shaun and sadly she lost to the cancer in the end.  Shaun's asks us what sides people mess up the most at cook outs. Also do people mess them up or do you just not like it? What is your favorite side for a BBQ cookout? Shoky finally watched MURDERBOY. Also on Appletv is the movie The Fountain of Youth starring John Krasinkski and Natalie Portman. We give it a short review.  We discuss the very disturbing direction Kevin Smith has been going with his movies as of late. Such as "TUSK", "Yoga Hosers" and an upcoming movie called "MooseJaws." And you know if its a bad movie Jefe is going to love it. Getting us both excited for a return to this show, but sad knowing that it's all we get. Should Neil Gaiman dissociate from his work just so the world can continue to love it without him? Much like J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter.  We also wonder if TV shows changing networks has fundamental effects on the show. Such as Scrubs or Supergirl.  Apparently The Simpsons, after 35 years, plans on killing off Marge in the series finale? We discuss fun theories of how it should ending. Was it all a dream in Conan's mind on break while he wrote for FOX? Did the family die tragically 20 years ago in one of Homer's schemes and he has been a delusional state all along to spare himself the reality of the loss? The more that comes out about the upcoming Superman movie, the more the internet trolls seems to hate it.  Finally, with the acceleration of AI-created video Hollywood may be on its last days. When you no longer need actors or digital studios to make movies anymore what good is the age old studio system? In fact; actors would no longer need to be filmed. They could sell their likeness and voice and simply remain young on screen in perpetuity fueled by scripts written by you on the toilet listening to your favorite Awkward Podcast.
