    The Pathfinder

Every path to glory has one thing in common — someone went first. Someone moved through the wilderness ahead of you, marked the trees, and made a way where there was no way. In the language of exploration, that person is called a pathfinder. In the language of the church, we call them a soul winner. Solomon said it plainly in Proverbs 11:30 — He that winneth souls is wise. And centuries later, the prophet Daniel told us what God does with the wise — they shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness, as the stars for ever and ever. This week on Paths to Glory, we explore what it actually costs to do this work, what it requires of the person willing to do it, and why blazing a trail for someone else may be the most important thing you ever do. The path doesn't build itself. Someone has to go first. If you’re enjoying Paths to Glory, be sure to check out our two other podcasts!Paths to Glory Kenya shares powerful stories of faith and transformation from the heart of Africa — voices of hope, revival, and purpose. And for the young — and the young at heart — don’t miss The Jones Family Chronicles, a fun, faith-filled adventure series for the whole family. You can find Paths to Glory Kenya and The Jones Family ChroniclesThe song "Paths to Glory" created with Udio and written by Roy Allison IV.687DnYhOfZWHus5AEqMx

From the Body to the Body

Some gifts travel farther than the hands that carry them. When a small group from Valley Pentecostal Church in Glendale, Arizona answered a call to minister at a National Ladies Conference in Bungoma, Kenya, they went believing they had something to offer. What they discovered on the other side of the world was that God had already been at work — long before their plane ever left the ground. In this final episode of our Kenya series, Pam Johnson and Alexis Banda share what they witnessed, what they felt, and what they could not leave behind. A conference. A room full of women. A moment that none of them were prepared for. And a love that needed no passport to travel. This is what happens when the body of Christ reaches across the world — and the world reaches back.If you’re enjoying Paths to Glory, be sure to check out our two other podcasts!Paths to Glory Kenya shares powerful stories of faith and transformation from the heart of Africa — voices of hope, revival, and purpose.

    Before We Ever Arrived

Some stories are told after they happen. This one begins before we ever arrive. In this episode of Paths to Glory, we invite you into a moment that is still unfolding. As three generations prepare to travel to Kenya for a women’s conference, this is not a story of what God has already done—but of what we believe He is about to do.With humility, we reflect on the weight of being entrusted with this opportunity, the trust of pastoral leadership in sending us, and the overwhelming awareness that we are not going alone. The prayers, faith, and expectation of the church go with us, connecting what God is doing here with what He is already doing there. We do not yet know the faces we will meet, the stories we will hear, or the prayers we will witness being answered. But we do know this—God is already at work, and we are simply stepping into something that was set in motion long before we ever arrived. This is more than a journey. It is an invitation.Come with us—not after the story is told, but as it begins.

    A Life That Still Speaks

Some lives are measured by what they achieve.Others are remembered for how they lived. In this special Season 8 premiere of Paths to Glory, we honor the life and legacy of Sis. Nadine Thames—a woman whose quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family left an imprint that continues to speak.Through reflections of her life—her love for poetry, her gift of bringing people together, her heartfelt worship, and the steady consistency of her walk with God—we are reminded that true impact is not found in the spotlight, but in faithfulness. This tribute is more than a remembrance. It is an invitation. An invitation to live intentionally. To love deeply. To walk faithfully.Because some lives, though no longer with us,leave footprints that lead others forward… on their own Paths to Glory.

    Nothing Was Wasted

Season 7 has been a journey through anger, searching, loss, waiting, healing, and fulfillment. Different stories. Different lives. One unmistakable thread.Nothing was wasted. In this closing episode of Paths to Glory, we step back and look at the paths we’ve walked this season — lives redirected from the edge, truth that settled after years of seeking, promises fulfilled after long waiting, generational cycles broken, and even a young life whose light continues to lead others forward. This is not a recap. It is a revelation.A reminder that the broken years were not wasted. The wandering was not wasted. The questions were not wasted. The pain was not wasted.Because when God writes the story, even the darkest chapters can become part of the path to glory. As Season 7 comes to a close, we are reminded that redemption is patient, purpose is intentional, and no surrendered life is ever wasted. And sometimes, when you finally see what God has done…all that remains is worship.

    When Truth Finally Settled

Some journeys are not marked by rebellion or sudden turns. They are shaped by patience, longing, and a quiet refusal to stop searching. In this episode of Paths to Glory, we follow the story of a woman whose life was grounded in faith from an early age—yet carried an unanswered hunger for deeper understanding. Raised in church and devoted to God, she spent years faithfully serving, studying, and showing up, even while sensing that something was still incomplete. This is a story of lifelong seeking, careful discernment, and obedience that came before clarity. Through seasons of disruption, personal loss, unanswered questions, and quiet revelation, truth slowly took root—not loudly, not forcefully, but with peace. When Truth Finally Settled is a reminder that some paths to glory are not found through dramatic detours, but through steady faithfulness—and that when truth arrives, it does not demand attention. It settles.

Stepping Stones - Muslim to Miracle

Every journey has a beginning. Some beginnings become stepping stones. This episode returns to one of the earliest stories shared on Paths to Glory—a testimony that helped shape the heart and direction of this podcast from the very start. Footprints That Lead to Glory

Some lives are not measured by the number of years lived, but by the depth of faith they leave behind. This special Paths to Glory tribute honors the life of a young lady whose quiet strength, sincere faith, and gentle spirit touched everyone who walked beside her. Though her time on earth was brief, her path was clear—and it continues to guide others forward. This episode is not a retelling of illness or loss.It is a reflection on a life lived with grace, worship, and unwavering trust in God.A life that became a testimony.A life that pointed others toward hope.As we remember Yahaira, we do so with sorrow—but also with assurance. That her race was finished faithfully. That her joy is now complete. And that her footprints remain, gently leading others along their own paths to glory. This is a tribute of love. A remembrance of light. And a testimony that continues.

    A Life Redirected

Some lives don’t unravel all at once. They drift—slowly, quietly—until direction is lost.In this episode of Paths to Glory, we trace the journey of a man whose early years were marked by restlessness, discipline without understanding, and a growing resistance to anything that felt confining. Raised in a structured home yet unable to find his place, he spent years searching for meaning through movement, independence, and escape. From small-town beginnings to military service, from addiction to recovery, from wandering to waiting, this story unfolds as a steady redirection rather than a sudden rescue. Along the way, moments of consequence, unexpected signs, and quiet conviction begin to shape a new path.A Life Redirected is a testimony of patience, surrender, and the power of choosing a different direction—one step at a time.Because sometimes the greatest transformation doesn’t come from starting over…It comes from finally being led where you were meant to go.If you’re enjoying Paths to Glory, be sure to check out our two other podcasts!Paths to Glory Kenya shares powerful stories of faith and transformation from the heart of Africa — voices of hope, revival, and purpose.

    When the Promise Became Home

Some promises are spoken quietly.Others take years to reveal what they truly mean.In this episode of Paths to Glory, we follow the journey of a man shaped by childhood trauma, domestic violence, and fear—who learned early how to survive in silence. Raised in a broken home and carrying wounds that could have hardened his heart, he instead chose a different path: leaving the door open when bitterness would have been easier. This is a story of unexpected invitations, generational healing, and faith that endured through cancer, uncertainty, and long seasons of waiting. It is the story of a promise spoken before it could be understood—and fulfilled in ways no one could have planned. From an unlikely invitation that changed the course of his life, to a diagnosis that tested everything he believed, to a home built through perseverance and faith, When the Promise Became Home reveals how redemption can reshape a future without erasing the past.Because sometimes, the greatest miracle isn’t what was healed…It’s what was restored.

This Is Your Year: From Hannah’s Prayer to Two Miracles

In a small Tucson living room turned sanctuary, a broken prayer rose like Hannah’s long ago: “Lord, I can’t do this anymore.” Years of waiting, loss, and unanswered questions had worn her faith thin—but not out. And then one night, in the middle of her husband’s sermon, a word came out of nowhere: “This is your year. You’re going to have a baby.”What followed was a journey of promise, persistence, and the unmistakable faithfulness of God. From the sound of a single heartbeat after years of silence, to the laughter of two miracle sons who now help their parents build a thriving church in Tucson—this is a story of endurance, obedience, and the quiet power of saying yes to God again and again. This episode reminds us that miracles are often born in waiting rooms, living rooms, and altars soaked with tears—and that when God speaks a promise, no desert is too dry for it to bloom.

    A Willing Yes

From sleeping under church altars in a tiny Montana congregation to launching a new work in Arizona from a park bench and a rented basement, this story traces what God can do with one simple answer: yes. After drifting through his teens, a life-altering encounter with the Holy Ghost in Wisconsin set a new direction that led to Phoenix—where a first service at Faith Temple erupted into a baptism by fire. What followed wasn’t instant glory but steady obedience: bus routes, sixteen years of weekly services inside a juvenile detention center, hospital visits that birthed a calling to nursing, and living-room Bible studies on the White Mountain reservation. When the Lord opened a door to pioneer a church in Prescott Valley, the work began with nothing but prayer, door-knocking, and park services. A travel trailer became home, a basement became a sanctuary, and consistency became a congregation—complete with a small Christian school and new believers finding their footing. This episode is a portrait of faithfulness in slow motion: no shortcuts, no spotlight—just a willing vessel who kept saying yes until yes became a church.

    Kept by His Mercy

At nineteen years old, he was strung out on heroin, lost, and looking for a way out. What he found was a miracle. The night he walked into Lifeline Outreach, an Apostolic men’s rehabilitation home, he expected pain and withdrawal—but instead, he found peace. God took the addiction from him completely, and within days, he was filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus’ name. That moment changed everything. From the barrios of Jalisco, Mexico, to the deserts of Arizona, his story is one of redemption, resilience, and faithfulness. He built a life devoted to God, his wife Yvonne, and their family—a husband, father, and grandfather whose gentle spirit and steadfast love touched everyone around him.Even in his final days, as his body grew weak, his spirit was strong. On his last Sunday, surrounded by the presence of God, he began to speak in tongues again—worshipping the same God who had delivered him decades before. This episode is a tribute to a man who never stopped believing, never stopped serving, and never stopped loving. Just Don't Quit

She grew up in California surrounded by chaos—drugs, drinking, and brokenness long before she ever reached her teenage years. It wasn’t instant, and it wasn’t easy. There were setbacks, battles, and moments of anger toward the very God who was rescuing her. But she never stopped coming. The Price of the Promise, Part 2: Kept By the Fire

Their faith began in the glow of a small mission school in Ethiopia—but it was proven in the fire of persecution. After marriage, they faced more than hardship—they faced open hostility. The communist government branded believers as enemies of the state. Soldiers raided their home, confiscated their Bibles, and threw her into prison—her infant brought to her only to nurse before being taken away again. While she endured confinement, he preached in secret, turning teacups and quiet corners into pulpits of truth. When false doctrine rose to divide the Apostolic movement, he stood firm. Labeled a rebel, hunted by those who once called him brother, he was spared only by the unseen hand of God. But in the fire of betrayal and fear, revival was already forming.Missionaries arrived from America—men who came not to debate, but to serve. They washed the feet of Ethiopian believers, prayed in the rain, and watched God pour out His Spirit in villages once bound by fear.Today, their testimony has become the foundation of over 150 thriving churches across Ethiopia. The same truth that cost them everything has now covered a nation in grace.

Yet, deep in her heart, she wanted more of God.As life took her to Arizona to be closer to family, she found herself on a path of unexpected discovery. A music conference and a mention of “Oneness” sparked questions that would lead her to Faith Temple (now Valley Pentecostal Church).
