Her area of concentration was evangelism and leadership. She earned her Master of Divinity degree from Gammon Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Georgia where her focus areas were psychology and religion. Her Bachelor of Arts is from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Washington has also co-authored a book entitled Prophets to the Nations: Black Methodism, Liberation, and the American Quest for Racial Justice (United Methodist Higher Education Board). Dr. Washington's most important desire is to use her gifts and graces in service to Almighty God. Introducing Dr. Kyle Keimer
Dr. Kyle Keimer is one of the newest professors at Pillar Seminary. In this episode, Dr. Keimer meets up with the Pillar Podcast team to discuss his fascinating work in archaeology and how it helps unravel the world of the Bible. Kyle specializes in the archaeology of ancient Israel and the Hebrew Bible. Currently, his research focuses on the archaeology of the early Israelite monarchy, the books of Samuel, historical geography, and Israelite religion. Since 2018 he has co-directed excavations at Khirbet el-Ra'i, Israel. He also teaches for Jerusalem University College and was Senior Lecturer in the archaeology, history, and languages of ancient Israel and the Near East at Macquarie University, Sydney before returning to the U.S. Previous publications include The Ancient Israelite World (Routledge, 2023, with George A. Pierce), Registers and Modes of Communication in the Ancient Near East: Getting the Message Across (Routledge, 2018, with Gillan Davis), and numerous articles.
