Pneuma Church

We are Pneuma Church in Ashford, Kent. We are a family on a mission who create spaces for people to encounter God, be equipped to bring life to the city and experience the outworking of this in their day to day.

Money: What do I do with it? Spending | Chris Kimmance

Money touches every part of life, and the Bible has a lot to say about how we use it. Four key principles help shape a God-honouring approach to finances: putting God first, being generous, providing for your family, and avoiding debt where possible. Putting God first means tithing, seeking His peace before spending, and remembering that everything we have already belongs to Him. Generosity flows naturally from love, and the Bible calls believers to be rich in good deeds and willing to share. Providing for family is not just a practical duty but an expression of faith lived out at home. Debt, described in Proverbs as making the borrower a slave to the lender, should be avoided unless there is genuine necessity, the means to repay, and real peace from God.

  2. 407

Money: What do I do with it? Parable of the Talents | Nic Kimmance

The Bible teaches us to be faithful stewards who multiply resources for kingdom purposes, not just meet basic needs. The parable of the talents reveals that God expects us to invest wisely rather than let fear paralyze us into inaction. When our identity is secure in God's love, we make financial decisions from wisdom rather than emotion. The key is understanding the difference between bread (for today) and seed (for tomorrow), being both generous givers and wise multipliers. God wants to get money through us, not just to us, so we can have greater kingdom impact beyond what our physical work alone could accomplish.

  3. 406

Money: What do I do with it? God's Generosity | Chris Kimmance

If God gave you everything - your breath, wisdom, salvation, and His own Son - would you hesitate to give Him 10% back? God's incredible generosity toward us should transform how we think about giving. From the breath in our lungs to His own Son, God has given us everything we need and more. When we truly grasp the magnitude of what we've already received, tithing becomes less about obligation and more about reflecting God's generous character.

  4. 405

The Power of Unity | Chrissie Wheatley

God designed us for community, not isolation. Like a three-strand cord that cannot easily be broken, believers become stronger when woven together across generations and cultures. The church thrives when people from different backgrounds, ages, and nations unite in faith, each contributing unique perspectives and strengths. Everyone has something valuable to offer, whether you're young or old, new to faith or experienced. True community happens when we intentionally invest in one another, breaking down barriers and learning from different experiences. This unity creates supernatural strength that helps us face life's challenges with greater resilience and boldness.

  5. 404

Money: What do I do with it? Tithing PT 2 | Chris Kimmance

What if the key to financial breakthrough isn't holding tighter to your money, but opening your hands in trust? Tithing isn't fundamentally about money but about the heart and our relationship with God. The tithe belongs to your spiritual home church, representing the first fruits of your income. When we can't afford to tithe, the biblical perspective is that we can't afford not to, as it releases God's provision in our lives. This practice isn't about following rules to earn favour but about trust and relationship with our heavenly Father.

  6. 403

Money: What do I do with it? Investing | Nic Kimmance

Does God want you to have just enough to get by, or more than enough to fulfill His calling on your life? Many Christians struggle with a poverty mindset that limits God's blessings in their lives. The key is recognizing God as the source of all wealth, not ourselves. When we honor Him with our finances, practice generosity, and seek His kingdom first, He promises to provide abundantly. True wealth comes through wisdom and proper relationship with God, not through pursuing money itself. It's time to break free from poverty mindset and embrace the abundant life God designed for you. What would change in your life if you truly believed God wants to prosper you?

  7. 402

Money: What do I do with it? Tithing PT 1 | Chris Kimmance

If someone looked at your bank statement, what would it reveal about your heart's true priorities? Jesus talked about money in 42% of his parables—maybe it's time we took His financial wisdom seriously. The principle of tithing, giving 10% back to God, appears throughout Scripture starting with Abraham and continuing through Malachi's challenge to test God in this area. Whether you believe tithing applies today or not, the heart issue remains: do we trust God enough to give generously? Our giving patterns reveal whether we're living as children of a faithful Father or as spiritual orphans driven by fear.

  8. 401

    Fully persuaded of God's goodness

What if your relationship with God isn't about your performance but your position as His beloved child? The father in the prodigal son story didn't wait for his son to clean up - he ran toward him while he was still far off. Being fully persuaded of God's goodness transform how we pray, handle failure, and share God's love with others who desperately need to know they have a Father who adores them unconditionally.

  9. 400

    Positioned for miracles (David Lamb)

You are like a walking time bomb of heaven's power! What if the pain you've been carrying was never meant to define you, but to position you for a miracle? Jesus didn't just sympathize with your struggles - he literally carried them away. Are you ready to shift from being pain-conscious to God-conscious and start operating in the authority he's given you?

  10. 399

Spiritual maturity that looks like Jesus (Chris Kimmance)

According to Ephesians 4, God's ultimate goal for every believer is spiritual maturity that resembles Jesus - not just physically, but in our thinking, behaviour, and relationships. And He will often use difficult people to help us grow!

  11. 398

The Family of God (Chrissie Wheatley)

You're not an add-on or afterthought - you're intentionally chosen for God's family! The question isn't whether you qualify, but whether you'll say yes to belonging. What would change in your life if you truly believed you were chosen on purpose?

  12. 397

Surrendering to the Lordship of Jesus (Simon Braker)

Many believers confess Jesus as Lord but continue living as their own authority, keeping certain areas of life locked away from His control. True lordship means surrendering every area of life to Christ's control, including finances, time, comfort, and ambitions. Western Christianity often lacks power because it prioritizes convenience over sacrifice! What areas of your life are you still keeping locked away from His lordship?

  13. 396

Building by the power of the Spirit (Chris Kimmance)

"Not by might, not by power but by my Spirit," says the Lord. God is saying to us ''Fill the church!" What does this mean we need to do? Chris shares a few keys for what this looks like.

  14. 395

    Faith vs Unbelief (Nic Kimmance)

Many Christians set their expectations too low based on past experiences rather than God's promises. Faith and unbelief aren't opposites on a sliding scale - they're opposing forces in a tug of war. Nic challenges us to deal with the unbelief that impacts our faith in God's unwavering promises.

  15. 394

The Compassion of the Father (Lisa Leaf)

We were delighted to welcome our friend and guest speaker Lisa Leaf from Compassion UK who gave us an update on the children we sponsor as a church in Ghana, as well as bringing us a message about the compassion of God the Father. While you're still far off, struggling to find your way back, He's already running toward you with open arms. You are worthy Him running after you and towards you, but the question is - will you let Him embrace you?

  16. 393

God is doing something new! (Chris Kimmance)

What if God is doing something new in your life, but you're fishing in familiar waters? Sometimes the right thing becomes the wrong thing when God starts moving in a new direction!

  17. 392

How is your speech setting you up for God's promises? (Nic Kimmance)

The Bible says life and death are in the power of your tongue - and science is proving this ancient truth. Are your daily conversations setting a course toward God's promises or away from them? It might be time for a word audit!

  18. 391

Cast your net on the other side in 2026! (Chris Kimmance)

You will get what you go after in 2026 - but are you going after the right things? If you want different results this year, you need to do something different than last year! The miraculous isn't found in the logical - it's found in supernatural obedience to what God is asking of you.

  19. 390

The Journey of Faith (Ben Gilbert)

Faith isn't about trying harder or making resolutions based on willpower. Through Abraham's 25-year wait for Isaac and Gideon's transformation from fearful to mighty warrior, we see that faith is actually about walking hand-in-hand with God like a child with their father.

  20. 389

The greatest gift ever given | Carols at Pneuma (Chris Kimmance)

God's love led Him to give the ultimate gift - His own Son. Like a father running to embrace his returning child, God is constantly looking out for you with love, ready to welcome you home. What would you ask God for if you knew He was listening and wanted to help you this Christmas? 🎁✨

  22. 387

Pneuma Together: Sowing Seeds (Pneuma Youth)

The youth at Pneuma Church share with us how they build authentic community and naturally plant seeds of faith in daily interactions. Are the people around you sharpening your faith or dulling it? The relationships we choose have a profound impact on our spiritual growth.

  23. 386

A promise, a house and 13 months (Chris Kimmance)

What do you do when God gives you promise but the process to that promise is fraught and full of obstacles and discouragement? Chris shares some of what he and his family have been navigating in the last 13 months in the hope that you will be encouraged and equipped with some strategies as you hold on to the promise of God being fulfilled in your life, while in the middle of difficulty.

  24. 385

What does prayer mean? (Chris Tatton)

What if prayer isn't about getting what you want from God, but about relationship with your loving Father? Hannah's desperate prayer in 1 Samuel shows us something powerful about aligning our hearts with God's will. Are you treating prayer like a spiritual slot machine, or are you ready to discover authentic conversation with the One who loves you most?

  25. 384

'On earth as it is in heaven' (Annette Murphy)

When God's people pray, heaven invades earth! This prayer that Jesus taught his disciples was recorded for us today and God is inviting us to pick up this legacy and run with it! Catch the vision for the launch of our prayer movement '6:10'.

Looking to the Source (Nic Kimmance)

What if the secret to lasting impact isn't found in your efforts, but in your source? When we seek first His kingdom, everything else gets added. Time to turn around and face the Source!

    Divine Encounters (Paul Manwaring)

  29. 380

Being a carrier of His presence (Chris Kimmance)

Your 'shadow' releases whatever overshadows you. When Jesus overshadows you, you bring His peace, joy, and healing presence everywhere you go. Are you ready to become a carrier of God's presence that transforms environments?

  30. 379

Radical Love in a Polarised World (Nic Kimmance)

In a world that forces us to pick sides, Jesus offers a radical alternative. What if our response to division wasn't more division, but extraordinary love? Recognizing everyone's identity as a child of God can transform even your most difficult relationships. The next Paul might be today's Saul - are you ready to welcome them?

  31. 378

The Power of Prayer (Chris Kimmance)

Chris speaks on the power of prayer as genuine heart connection with God. Effective prayer involves listening as well as speaking, recognizing that the goal isn't perfect words but authentic relationship with our Creator!

  32. 377

The Life of David: Legacy (Chrissie Wheatley)

Chrissie concluded our summer series on the life of King David by talking about legacy. David's choices affected future generations, his faithfulness allowed God's promises to outlast him, and ultimately his lineage led to Jesus Christ. We each have a responsibility to examine what we're passing on, identify who we should be mentoring, and take practical steps to share our faith. The next generation is hungry for authentic spirituality, and we must run alongside them rather than letting them journey alone.

  33. 376

The Life of David: Worshipper (Nic Kimmance)

King David, a deeply flawed man, became a worshiper who changed history. What was his secret? Nic shares with us four principles from the life of King David that can help transform us as worshippers. We want to be ruined for anything less than God's presence!

  34. 375

The Life of David: Warrior (Chris Kimmance)

King David's success as a warrior came from consistently consulting God before battles, receiving unique divine strategies each time. When we face our own struggles—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—we need spiritual weapons, not worldly ones.

  35. 374

The Life of David: King (Annette Murphy)

King David's journey from shepherd to king reveals profound truths about leadership, failure, and redemption. His success came from unifying Israel, demonstrating courage, and maintaining a heart for God. However, it started to go wrong when he chose comfort over calling, with devastating consequences. His legacy teaches us to crucify complacency, embrace our calling, and practice authentic repentance when we fail, showing that our spiritual legacy isn't built on perfection but on how we respond to both success and failure.

  36. 373

The Life of David: Shepherd (Chris Tatton)

Are you feeling overlooked or stuck in a season that seems insignificant? David was just a forgotten shepherd when God chose him as king. What if your 'shepherd field' isn't a detour but divine preparation? God sees beyond appearances to your heart, and He's developing something powerful in you right now. Your humble beginnings are shaping your future impact!

  37. 372

    Re-positioned in earnestness (Chris Kimmance)

We're called to cooperate with God's move by abandoning half-heartedness and embracing sincere, zealous faith as described in Romans 12. This means reprioritizing our lives around church community, serving others, and approaching our faith with conviction rather than casual commitment. By partnering with God intentionally, we position ourselves to participate in what could be the greatest spiritual awakening in history—one that unites the power of God's Word with the presence of His Spirit.

  38. 371

God is on the move! (Chris Kimmance)

The data is clear: spiritual hunger in the UK is increasing and something extraordinary is happening beneath the surface! Chris encourages us that there is an urgency to the times we're living in = Jesus is coming back soon and God is waking us up to join what He is already doing!

  39. 370

Responding to His Glory (Chris Kimmance)

When God's presence manifests in a specific place, people naturally respond in various ways. Throughout scripture, we see responses like falling face down in reverence, being overwhelmed by God's glory, and spontaneous giving. God seeks those who are hungry for His presence and open to His leading!

  40. 369

Pentecost Sunday - The Person of the Holy Spirit (Nic Kimmance)

At Pentecost, believers experienced dramatic manifestations—violent winds, tongues of fire, and supernatural language abilities—yet today we often limit the Spirit based on our comfort zones. The Holy Spirit is a person who desires to work powerfully in our lives beyond our expectations.serves as our helper, comforter, advocate, intercessor, counselor, strengthener, and standby, offering complete freedom in every area of life. Nic challenges us to make the Holy Spirit our first resource rather than our last resort in order to experience His transformative power daily.

  41. 368

Psalm 40: A Roadmap in the Waiting (Nic Kimmance)

Beyond Religion: Transformed by the Spirit (Chris Kimmance)

  43. 366

You can't get Jesus in a drive-through! (Chris Kimmance)

There's no microwave maturity or drive-through discipleship. True transformation comes not through mechanical religious routines but through pleading helplessness before God and letting Him do the work of forgiveness and purification. Embracing difficulties as opportunities for growth and spending genuine time with Jesus are essential for becoming more like Him. Nothing else will satisfy like Jesus - no other religion, false god, or worldly pursuit!

  44. 365

It's never about the tree! (Chris Kimmance)

Chris challenged us in this poignant message to not get caught up in worshipping the structure that we miss the one who it's actually all about: JESUS! While organization is necessary, it should exist only to support and liberate, not to control. Instead we need to stay hungry for God, remain aware of our deep need for Him, and let everything point back to Jesus rather than getting caught up in religious motions.

  45. 364

Today's bread, Tomorrow's seed (Nic Kimmance)

Nic shares a powerful insight on understanding the difference between enjoying His provision and investing in Kingdom multiplication. True kingdom generosity creates multi-generational impact and requires proper stewardship to unlock heaven's abundance. When we give cheerfully with pure motives and hearts focused on blessing others, we position ourselves to receive and steward God's provision in ways that advance His kingdom purposes.

  46. 363

Part 2: Breaking free from orphan mindset (Nic Kimmance)
