    Talk Copy To Me Reviewed

Description:Talk Copy to Me is your go-to resource for transforming your business's message into meaningful connections and measurable results. Whether you're diving into SEO, crafting website copy that converts, or building your brand's story, each episode delivers actionable strategies you can implement right away.Your host, Erin Ollila, is a sought-after content strategist and SEO expert who's helped brands like Oracle, Amazon, Hills Pet—as well as many other billion-dollar brands and itty bitty businesses—achieve tens of thousands of monthly website visits...and, more importantly, conversions. With an M.F.A. in Creative Writing and years of experience blending data-driven strategies with authentic storytelling, Erin brings both expertise and approachability to every episode. This show is crafted specifically for small business owners, solopreneurs, creatives, and growing companies who know they need to level up their marketing but feel overwhelmed by where to start. Each week, you'll get deep-dive discussions and expert interviews covering everything from website optimization and SEO fundamentals to email marketing strategies and social media success. (more on her site)Website: https://erinollila.com/podcast/What I Liked About This EpisodeClear, Catchy Hook: Right from the start, Erin Ollila delivers a sharp opening that instantly tells me what the show and episode are about. Within the first 43 seconds, I knew exactly what was on offer—a huge plus in podcasting!Relevant and Concise Introduction: The episode kicks off with a summary that pulls me in without getting lost in the weeds. The intro isn’t overloaded with fluff or irrelevant self-promotion, which made me want to keep listening.Audience Connection: I love how Erin Ollila addresses the listener directly (“Hey, friends” althought I would prefer singular, "Hey Friend"), making things feel personal and authentic. It sets a welcoming tone that’s easy to connect with.Immediate Value: Erin Ollila quickly outlines what NOT to do (abandoning old SEO work for new AI optimization or ignoring changes entirely) and sets up the value she’ll deliver. That makes me curious to hear the actual solution.Smooth Flow into Useful Content: There’s no wasted time—the show transitions seamlessly from intuition and context to actionable information I can use. Credible, Trustworthy Presence: Erin Ollila backs up her claims with industry experience and sounds genuinely invested in delivering accurate, data-driven advice. I trust what she’s saying.Good Audio Quality: I didn’t feel like I was listening to someone in a tunnel or struggling with poor production. Everything was crisp, clear, and professional. No Overbearing Ads or Self-Promotion: I appreciated not being smothered with ads or “pimping” products in the first few minutes. The focus stayed on valuable content.Engaging Teasers: Erin Ollila uses smart episode teasers (like previewing the next episode’s topic) to build anticipation and keep me coming back for more.Honest Feedback: At the end, I found myself wanting to subscribe and add it to my marketing channel—which, to me, is the real test of a show’s impact! The Goal Of This ShowThis show aims to help you make the best episodes and grow your downloads. I appreciated the heads-up on AI-generated voices. I knew exactly where I was going as the episode progressed. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingI'm undecided about the AI reading the scripture. It reminded me of Yul Brenner. These weren't horrible robotic voices (but reading the King James Version doesn't help—even when a human reads that version, you really have to pay attention). This is going to be one of those things that you either like, or you don't. You might be like me, and be on the fence. I think over time, you get used to the AI accent. DescriptionTimothy Kimo Brien brings his experience with podcasting since 2006 as a listener and a podcaster. Here is how the show works, Tim combs the millions of podcasts currently available for free on various platforms and then he comes back to you with what he has found. Sure you can use the search engines for recommendations from many podcast apps, but Tim feels that getting a personal recommendation from a real live breathing person is still the best way to find the gems that are out thereWebsite: https://www.findapodcastabout.xyz/What I Liked About This EpisodeI love the concept. The music reminded me of early Joe Jackson (Mad at You)What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingI don't think I needed the play-by-play of where we are going. Can you just roll in sound quality, etc into the story of what you think? I've never seen car talk, so maybe this just isn't for me.For me, I don't need or trust stats (i.e. Listen notes). Even without Listen notes, I want to know what YOU think about the shy and why YOU think it's good. I don't think I'm the target audience for this show.P.S. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe music is a bit too loud on the intro and your microphone is a bit muffled compared to the rest of the audio. Also, it seems like you used some sort of noise reduction tool and went one notch too many so you slightly sound like you're underwater.BONUS: You should treat every episode like a blog post. Proxy with Yowei Shaw Reviewed

DescriptionIn life, sometimes we have a unique experience that leaves us with big emotional questions. And sometimes, there’s no one around us who can answer our questions. Each episode, host Yowei Shaw connects a guest with the “proxies” they need - experts and individuals with shared experience. Not an advice show and definitely not therapy, Proxy offers something different: a space for people to confront, commiserate and even find the comedy (or cringe) through frank conversation.Website: https://www.patreon.com/ProxyPodcastWhat I Liked About This EpisodeIt's from a former NPR employee so lots of cool mood music and great recording. The witty banter went on too long, and you have a ton of "music for the sake of nothing." The biggest thing I would say is get to the topic, then throw in stories as you talk about editing. If you don't care about it, why should I. You need to go back to the drawing board and do the following:1. Identify your WHY. If you don't get your why, you burn out.2. Identify your WHO. If you don't give them value, you'll never grow an audience.3. Identify the WHAT. This is content that both entertains the WHO while moving them toward your WHAT. 4. Identify how you will measure success. There are more than downloads (sales, reach, influence, fun, and more). The first ad was very long, and when you followed it up with a second long at (that sounded like it was for the same product?), that was enough for me. You really like the phrase, "You guys." I'm sitting in my room alone. I'm the only one here. Mentioned in This EpisodePodurama.comListener FeedbackWe got some feedback from Brad Shreve:I hope you've been well. I'm dropping you an email because I rarely disagree with you, but I think you missed the mark on Shadow Clock Reviewed on the 2/14 episode of The Podcast Rodeo Show. The kitchen garbage at the beginning floored me because I have no idea why anyone would leave that in, but once she got past that, she nailed it, IMO. She set it up well, teased me so I wanted to hear more, and his background was interesting to me because it all related to eventually becoming a bank robber. You were immediately frustrated when he was talking about fishing on the Mississippi whereas I knew right away it would lead to bootlegging. If I was wrong, it was short enough to give her the benefit of doubt (since it was my first time listening) that it would tie in somehow. From that point up until where you ended it, I think only a few words were wasted because while I would find a story about bank robbing interesting, I'm more fascinated by how he got there. At least as long as it ties in. If he talked about fishing and it was just a story about fishing, then that would have me scratching my head. Unnecessary was her imagery of pelicans at Alcatraz. It may have been interesting as part of her take at the end, but it seemed odd, boring, and out of place where she had it.There is one other thing where I think she failed - the title. I would never have stopped to listen because Shadow Clock Revisited doesn't jump out at me as to what I'm going to hear. What does that mean? Titles are tough.Anyway, just my take. I'm launching a new show with a cohost for the first time, so I'll be reaching out soon. The Goal Of This ShowThis show aims to help you make the best episodes and grow your downloads. You did a great job of alerting the audience about adult content. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThere was no show open. I had no idea what I was listening to as a first-time listener. I felt like I had walked into a movie. You somewhat buried the lead, and then when you let the cat out of the bag, I wanted to hear about bank robbing (and you went WAY into his story). I assume he wasn't raised by Nuns in a Manson so I was ready to hear about bank robbing. Your tone of voice is nice and friendly. The content was good for an absolute finance beginner. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingNobody in the right mind will ever read that Apple intro. Apple doesn't index the intro so no need to keyword stuff the description. It wreaks a bit of Chat GPT. You could quit with the first paragraph (who is this for, how will the benefit). In your friendly delivery (are there podcasts they deliver in an unfriendly delivery)? You are reading and it's obvious. For me, that's a no-go. You read better than most people read, but you're reading. There was no personalization. There were no personal stories. There was no RALPH in Ask Ralph. Here again, I sense some Chat GPT. Everything was very high level, "Works for everyone" kind of content. This creates vanilla content (hence the "Meh") rating. It wasn't horrible, but I wasn't running to tell a friend. I loved the natural banter between the two. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe intro where you sing the intro is somewhat "Wayne's World, Pary On, Excellent." Depending on the goal of the show this might fit, but if you're trying to make a professional impression, maybe have a friend do some voice-over and buy a $5 track from Tunereel and blend the two. There is a hum in the background. Either turn something off or use something like the noise reduction in Hindenburg Pro. Some people leave the ums in, and some people (me) will remove the "low-hanging" ums. For me, it makes you sound more confident and prepared.Just a bit more planning to introduce the topic, and the book. If you're using one mic, go buy a second one (I like the Samson Q2U, and if needed a Podtrak P4 to record you, and then edit in software later). It just sounds a little 'bommy" like you're in a cave or fishbowl.I didn't hear an obvious benefit in your show, and for the record, I need to add one to this show. What Now With Trevor Noah? Reviewed

DescriptionHear Trevor Noah in a way you’ve never heard him before. “What Now? with Trevor Noah” is a show wherein each episode Trevor will go deep with a special guest, including entertainers, CEOs, actors, athletes, and thought leaders. These are the kind of conversations that happen behind the scenes, full of radical candor, authentic back-and-forths, and honest reactions, with Trevor bringing to bear his classic, effortlessly playful and equally probing style. Produced by Spotify Studios in partnership with Day Zero Productions, Fulwell 73, and Audacy's Pineapple Street Studios.Website: SpotifyWhat I Liked About This EpisodeGreat production, and I love the CONCEPT of this show. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingWhile celebrities can get away with chit-chat longer than normal Joe Schmoe, I was bored and didn't get most of the inside jokes. I would move the chit-chat to the show's end for the super fans. You are leaning hard into the "Spooky" theme of the show. The audio sounds great. You pulled me in and I REALLY wanted to hear what messed up this show, and you kept feeding me more information that I felt we didn't need. Do we need the backstory of the hosts to understand why they quit their show? I like the intro as I new what I was getting into. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingOnce your first intro was done, you then provided a 2-minute table of contents. Nobody highlights the table of contents in a book. You followed this by providing the biography of a stranger. I had tuned in for stories that happened at work. I was quite a way into the episode, and you lost me before we got there. The Goal Of This ShowThis show aims to help you make the best episodes and grow your downloads. DescriptionIn the Great Khan’s Tent hosted by Saif Beg is a bi-weekly episodic narrative Podcast focusing on the History, Literature, and Folk Literature from the regions of the Middle East and North Africa, Central Asia including Mongolia and the Russian Far East, and South Asia.In our ongoing series of ”In the Great Khan’s Tent” I will be narrating “The Thousand and One Nights” or commonly referred to as the “Arabian Nights”. Interspersed within this series will be our focus on the history of the above mentioned regions, interviews, and discussions on many facets that I am sure our readers would enjoy.Website: https://inthegreatkhanstent.podbean.com/What I Liked About This EpisodeI liked that it was not your typical content. It was information I'd never heard, so in that way, it sounds unique to someone from the USWhat I Thought Could Use Some PolishingYour audio has some strange issues. None of your music fades out. You have abrupt starts. I would add all the housekeeping (Hey, we're on YouTube) to the end where the super listeners are. You could add a little inflection to your voice and turn off whatever is making the noise in the background. Any kind of music fading was pretty harsh in both cases, and you read her very long LinkedIn Bio. I would much rather hear the part of her bio around today's subject and why the host is excited to have her. You then asked questions that delivered no value to my life. You got me excited to talk about controversial topics, and instead, I'm getting into the guest's story. People don't care (it sounds harsh, but it's true) about someone until they give them a reason to care. Get to the topic; then, AFTER they deliver VALUE, you can get into their story. The Goal Of This ShowThis show aims to help you make the best episodes and grow your downloads. DescriptionI help you navigate the path to professional success. Whether you're a recent graduate still searching for your place or a seasoned professional with years of experience, knowledge and insights I share can show you how to position yourself for growth and career advancement.Website: https://managingacareer.com/What I Liked About This EpisodeYou launched and that is more than most people. You have a domain that is easy to remember and fits in with your brand. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingI would not use Godaddy website builder. I like Podpage for podcasts. You can try podpage at www.trypodpage.com and learn podpage for free at www.learnpodpage.com The music on the introduction is a little high. The audio quality is about a 2 on a scale from one to ten. This is due to background noise that was then attempted to be dampened by an over aggressive noise gate which actually ends up drawing more attention to the sound of the audio. You are reading a script, and while some will tolerate that, I would rather hear someone just talk to me like I'm sitting across the desk. Podcasts are a time-shifted conversation with your audience. To fix the audio, I would get something like a Samson Q2U or an AT 2100X and have that about three finger widths from your mouth (with a windscreen on it) see https://youtu.be/faTh-FR_1p8Then turn off whatever is making the noise and record at a level between -6 and -12. If Books Could Kill Reviewed

DescriptionThe airport bestsellers that captured our hearts and ruined our mindsWebsite: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2040953What I Liked About This EpisodeI loved that they took two seconds to introduce each other. They jump right into the book, and Peter has great audio. It also shows this isn't just two people talking about a book, so instantly, this show is doing something different. They both did a good of referring to each other by their name. I loved the sarcasm. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingMichael's audio needs work. Peter sounding great makes Michael's audio sound worse. My guess is he is using a Blue Yeti on his desk too far away from him. Check out my podcast equipment guide. The intro music could use a voice-over that explains what the SHOW is, as they've done a good job of getting right to the book. The Goal Of This ShowThis show aims to help you make the best episodes and grow your downloads. I felt confident I was going to have a takeaway by the end of the episode. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingYou and your guest sounded very similar to me. I would've panned your slightly left and the guest's slightly right to help people ID who is saying what.Your website address in the podcast app shows your simplcast episode. You have a website, so go into simplecast and update your show's information to point at the correct website. I thought it odd that your first question seemed like a quiz for your guest. Why not just quote the person you wanted to remember and ask the question? Also, did we need the history of the pirate studio? Your description needs work. You assume your audience (and I may not be in that group) knows your references. We help (your audience) do (what they do) so they can (benefit). The phrase that caught my eye was storytelling. Also no app will make a link in your description clickable. I haven't heard a word from you; why are you pitching me? Join us live on Youtube, Facebook and Twitch or listen later on podcast app of your choice.Website: www.uchoosepodcast.comWhat I Liked About This EpisodeThe co-hosts have great chemistry, and I love the idea of the show. You started off with some nice theater of the mind and then got sidetracked. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThere is an annoying buzz in the background that once noticed can't be unheard. You seem to repeat yourself. As a new audience member, I understood the concept of Uchoose, and was waiting for the book. If you want to catch up and share teeth stories do it AFTER you do the start part. DescriptionJenna Rink did us dirty - we are NOT 30, flirty & thriving!😅 Join your hosts, Vanessa Rayne & Ashley Hoffman, for a new episode every Monday while we shit talk being in our 30s. Let’s talk about it!Website: https://thirtyflirtypodcast.podbean.com/What I Liked About This EpisodeYou pressed record and put yourself out there and many people don't. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe audio needs to be better (lots of room noise), and let people know what the show is about and what the episode is about. The introductions don't need to be long, only to understand who is who and what they sound like. (Do I need to know your Canadian?). I don't care that you curse, but you use them so that they lose their power. I would also go to www.coolerwebsites.com and buy a domain instead of using the podbean domain. My Aloof Vagina

DescriptionUnprepared for perimenopause? (Same!) Felt misunderstood or alone during it all? (Yup.) Feel too young for this? (Me, too!) So I'm on a quest with my friends (and my aloof vagina) to understand what other "surprises" to expect AND to get a handle on all this midlife stuff, from sex & relationships to the weird stuff happening to our bodies. (The stuff nobody wants to talk about.) Warning: Like to laugh and sometimes pee your pants when you do? This podcast was designed to serve you. Grab leakage protection & join us for some fun.Website: www.myaloofvagina..comWhat I Liked About This EpisodeI loved the description and the humor. I love that you are talking about things that nobody has the courage to talk about. I thought you did well introducing the show and the episode. What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingWhile the host sounded great, the guest sounded noticeably "boomy," like they were in a glass bowl or bathroom. Not a ton, but enough for me to notice (and that may be me listening through the ears of a podcaster). Acon digital has a plugin to reduce that.I would also get something like Podpage and get your own website going so you can build up your SEO and quit sending traffic to buzzsprout (and keep it for yourself). The Goal Of This ShowThis show aims to help you make the best episodes and grow your downloads. Don’t miss a beat subscribe to Radio Free Pro wrestling today.Website: https://www.radiofreepw.com/What I Liked About This EpisodeThe commentary on the wrestling was great with showing pros and cons. This isn't just a fanboy show. The audio that was good, was good, and the audio that was bad was distractingly bad (but easy to fix).I like that you were editing the show. It shows you care (more about that in a second). What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe introduction of the co-hosts had a long tangent. All we need to do is connect the name with a voice. Then put any "what's up with you" at the show's end. People tuned in to talk about wrestling, not baseball. The sign of a good edit is you can't tell it is edited. This was not the case. Your edits were obvious and made me scratch my head (as, in one case, you could've started later and skipped the whole stammering part). The person from the UK is way too far away from the microphone and probably using a Blue Yeti microphone (See video on how to use it properly). Also, see https://podcast.adobe.com/enhance Currently this is free.
