    When Life Is Hard

Send us Fan MailWhen life is lifeing and it feels like everything is coming at you at once, it is easy to wonder where God is and whether you are about to go under. I talk candidly about those moments when faith feels harder than usual, when bills are due, hearts are aching, prayers feel delayed, and the world around us adds even more weight. If you have ever felt overwhelmed, alone, or quietly angry while still trying to believe, you will feel seen here. I walk through what helps me when my back is against the wall: anchoring myself in Almighty God, remembering what He has already done, and fighting the “amnesia” that makes us forget God’s past provision. We turn to concrete, comforting Bible promises like Psalm 46:1, Matthew 11:28, and Joshua 1:9, and I share how asking God for “a word” or even “a song” can steady your spirit. A simple hymn, “’Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus,” becomes a lifeline and a daily prayer for grace to trust Him more. You will come away with Christian encouragement you can use right away, plus practical faith habits for anxiety, grief, financial stress, and uncertainty: honest prayer, Scripture anchoring, worship that shifts the atmosphere, and a reminder that God is constant even when circumstances are not. If this conversation strengthens you, subscribe, share it with someone who needs hope today, and leave a review. What is the one verse or worship song you run to when life gets hard? The Messy Middle

Send us Fan MailThe hardest part of your story usually isn’t the beginning or the ending. It’s the middle, when the bills stack up, the doubts get loud, and you’re still trying to show up with faith even when nothing looks “glam” from the outside.I’m Colette Marie, and I’m talking straight about what I call the messy middle: the unfinished chapters we’re tempted to hide while we post only the mountaintop moments. We look at social media and assume everyone else is thriving, but so many of us are quietly asking, “God, where are You in this?” I share why authenticity matters, how discernment keeps honesty from becoming oversharing, and why the broken places in your story can be a blessing to someone who feels alone. You’ll also hear me open up about my own wrestle with calling, confidence, and building, including the pressure of trying to get clients and the fear that I’m not doing what God wants me to do. We talk practical encouragement too: praying, staying in the Word, finding community, using resources, and being willing to tell the truth when someone close asks how you’re really doing. I lean on Proverbs 3:5–6 and Romans 8:28 as reminders that God can direct your path and use even this season for good and for purpose. If you’re in a hard season of faith, entrepreneurship, relationships, or family life, let this be your reminder that you haven’t been forgotten. God Sees You

Send us Fan MailWhen life gets loud and God feels quiet, the first lie we tend to believe is that we’re alone. I’m speaking to the tired heart that’s asking, “Where are You, God?” and the person who feels unseen in relationships, overlooked at work, or emotionally spent from a valley season that won’t end. If you’ve ever wondered whether God still cares about the details of your life, this conversation is a gentle but firm reminder that His silence is not His absence. We walk through three anchor Scriptures that bring real Christian encouragement without pretending pain isn’t real. We start with Hagar’s wilderness moment in Genesis 16:13 where she names God “El Roi,” the God who sees. Then we move to Jeremiah 31:3 and God’s promise of an everlasting love that does not change when we struggle, doubt, or feel far away. Finally, we sit with Ephesians 3:17-19, asking God to root us in love and help us grasp the width, length, depth, and height of Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge. If you’ve been searching for Bible verses for anxiety, loneliness, or feeling abandoned by God, these passages meet you right where you are.I also pray for you at the end, asking God to minister to you in stillness and make His Word come alive in your heart. If this encouraged you, subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share it with a friend who needs comfort, and leave a review to help more people find this message. Be encouraged my friend, God is aware of and is acquainted with your grief and He will not leave nor forsake you. Why The Cross Still Matters When Life Hurts

Send us Fan MailGood Friday hits differently when you’re already carrying something heavy. I’m Collette Marie, and today I’m sitting with the raw meaning of the cross: an innocent Jesus taking the punishment we deserved, choosing sacrifice so we can have access to God, forgiveness, and life everlasting. If you’ve ever wondered whether God really sees your pain, this conversation offers a steady, faith-filled answer. We talk about the moments when hardship, trials, finances, sickness, or heartbreak make you feel abandoned. I keep coming back to this truth: God understands because He came close. Jesus knows weakness, grief, and pressure, and Scripture says He is touched by what we feel. When you can’t go any further in your own strength, you can still pray honestly, ask for grace, and take the next step without pretending you’re fine.We also connect Good Friday to purpose and calling. Your position in life right now, even the painful parts, doesn’t cancel the plan God has for you. I reflect on Exodus and the tabernacle, where God gives people wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for the work He assigns. Your gifts aren’t random, and they aren’t meant to stay dormant. God can use what He placed in you to encourage someone else, to redeem a story, and to show love in practical ways.If this Christian podcast episode encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a sister who needs hope, and leave a review so more listeners can find it. What are you carrying today, and what gift do you want to put back in motion? The Cross gives us hope and I prays that today you will be reminded of ALL Christ did so you didn’t have to face the penalty of your sin. Be reminded that the Cross reminds us of the gifts we have and how we should use them for the glory of God. God Honors The Commitments We Keep

Send us Fan MailThe hardest part of a promise to God often comes after He answers the prayer. When the thing you begged for is finally in your hands, “giving it back” can feel impossible and that’s exactly where Hannah’s story hits home. We sit with the weight of her vow, the courage it took to release Samuel, and the quiet proof of her follow through as she returns year after year with a robe for her son.We open the Bible to 1 Samuel 2:18–21 and slow down on a line that changes everything: “The Lord visited Hannah.” After Hannah honors her commitment, God blesses her with more sons and daughters, showing that what we surrender in faith is not wasted. But we also talk honestly about expectations. Sometimes we assume obedience will be repaid in the same form like money for money. Yet God often answers with something bigger: favor, open doors, peace, and help we could not create for ourselves. That’s why the reminder lands so strongly: God is no man’s debtor, and God multiplies what we place in His hands. We also bring the lesson into everyday life with a personal story about spiritual discipline and prayer. You may not have a perfect prayer closet, but you can still build a faithful practice right where you are, even kneeling at your bedside and returning again when you fall short. If you’re carrying a promise, a vow, or a commitment to God that feels heavy right now, let this be your encouragement to tell Him the truth and ask for strength to obey.Subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share this with a friend who needs courage, and leave a review. Promises To God: Do You Keep Yours?

Send us Fan MailHave you ever told God, “If you do this for me, I’ll do that for you,” then realized the promise feels impossible once the blessing arrives? That tension sits at the heart of this conversation as we walk through 1 Samuel 1 and the story of Hannah, a woman who carries grief, endures ridicule, and still chooses to worship. Her prayer is so raw and quiet that Eli mistakes her for being drunk, but what’s really happening is a soul being poured out before the Lord. We trace Hannah’s vow and the moment God remembers her, then we slow down at the part many of us skip: she follows through. After Samuel is born, she weans him and brings him back to the house of the Lord, keeping the commitment she made when she was desperate. Along the way, we talk about the promises we make in prayer, why unanswered prayer can dim worship, and how spiritual maturity looks like serving and showing up even when we feel disappointed or forgotten. You’ll hear encouragement for your own “Hannah season” and practical language for surrender: praying according to God’s will, trusting God’s timing, and learning to accept whatever the answer is. Yes, no, or wait, we come back to one steady confession: it is well. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend who’s waiting on God, and leave a review with the biggest takeaway you’re holding onto today. My prayer is that you will be reminded that God isn’t withholding His best for you. Support the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer. In The Stillness

Send us Fan MailThe loudest battles aren’t always outside of us. Sometimes it’s the constant noise, the buzzing phone, the running mind, and the endless demands that pull our attention away from God even while we’re trying to pray. We talk about what it means to dwell in the secret place and why stillness is not a vibe, it’s a decision that takes obedience. I share what led me to step away for a season of rest and how God met me consistently when I finally slowed down. We get practical about protecting time with Him: silencing notifications, setting boundaries with people you love, and choosing a simple space that becomes your prayer closet. If you’ve been asking God for clarity, direction, and peace, this is a reminder that He often speaks when we stop fighting for control and start surrendering our will. We also dig into Scripture as the anchor for discernment because God will never tell us something that contradicts His written Word. I talk about journaling, reading the physical Bible, and how re-reading 1 Samuel brought fresh insight that I didn’t see the first time. We close with encouragement for anyone who feels too busy to rest: the hours are not lost when God is the One redeeming the time. When Grief Meets The Holidays, Grace Walks With You

Send us Fan MailThe lights are bright, but your heart might not be. We gathered around a hard truth: the holidays can amplify loss, whether it’s a loved one who’s gone, a relationship that ended, or plans that never took shape. From the first pang of seeing an empty chair to the quiet dread of a calendar packed with cheer you don’t feel, we name the ache and offer a path toward peace that doesn’t demand you pretend.I share my own journey through separation and divorce, and how that first Christmas turned joy into a knot in my chest. That honesty opens space to talk about what helps: anchoring our confidence in Christ when circumstances don’t change overnight, and letting Emmanuel—God with us—be more than a lyric. We lean on Scripture that refuses to flinch, especially the promise that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Not death, not the past, not the heavy swirl of December. We also get practical. If you’re carrying grief, we offer gentle rhythms that protect your heart: release nonessential traditions, curate quieter moments, and make room to remember without apologizing. If you’re thriving this season, we challenge you to notice who fades into the edges. Look for patterns, ask before acting, and offer presence without pressure. Sometimes love looks like a short visit, a warm meal, or a single sentence that says, I see you. And when words fail, we let prayer hold the room—asking for shalom, for strength, and for the courage to see small mercies. If the season is heavy, you’re not broken; you’re human. I Asked For Spice And Got A Sermon

Send us Fan MailEver prayed for something, took a quick look, decided nothing happened, and then forced a result you couldn’t enjoy? That’s the heartbeat of today’s conversation, where a craving for spicy seafood becomes a living parable about trust, timing, and obedience. We anchor in Romans 8:28, not as a slogan, but as a lens for everyday choices—especially the quiet ones that test patience and reveal whether we truly believe God’s goodness. We start with a simple kitchen scene: no fresh Scotch bonnet, only dry seeds. A prayer asks God to bring back the heat. A hasty taste says “no change,” and more seeds get tossed in. The outcome is scorching, and the insight lands hard: when we rush God’s process, we often create blessings we can’t enjoy. From there, we connect the dots to Sarah and Abraham’s shortcut, the difference between initiative and impatience, and the biblical promise that true blessing “adds no sorrow.”Along the way, we share a real story of provision that required giving what felt impossible to give, only to watch God supply in full. We talk about how obedience and waiting work together, why God’s names—Jehovah Jireh, Rapha, Shalom, El Shaddai—steady us in uncertainty, and how to pray with honesty while yielding the method and timing to Him. If you’re facing financial pressure, delayed answers, or a decision that tempts you to “add more pepper,” this is your gentle guardrail and your invitation to peace.Listen for practical encouragement to wait well, trust deeply, and receive without regret. Faith, Resilience, And Community After Hurricane Melissa

Send us Fan MailWhen the wind howls and the lights go out, what keeps us on our feet? We open our hearts to the reality of Hurricane Melissa’s impact across Jamaica and the Caribbean and trace a path from shock to steady ground. Our focus is simple and strong: God as a firm foundation, resilience as a shared practice, and hope that breathes even when the roof is gone.We begin by naming the big question: how do you remain standing before, during, and after a storm that seems set to destroy you?  the hymn that anchors so many of us—On Christ, the solid rock we stand—we explore how scripture steadies the inner life when circumstances unravel. We also face the hard tension head-on: some prayed and still suffered loss. Rather than offering clichés, we hold space for grief and witness to the mercies that did arrive, including lives spared and neighbors showing up.What moved us most were the ordinary acts of courage and care: people sharing phones at roadside signal spots, cooking for others, and checking on those marooned without power. That is resilience made visible. You’ll hear practical ways to live this out—short prayers when words fail, small steps that restore and simple encouragements you can offer when someone can’t find a song to sing. Along the way, we invite you to remember your own archive of survival and pair it with a grounded trust in Christ’s unchanging presence. This conversation blends faith, empathy, and practical guidance for anyone facing a physical, emotional, spiritual, or financial storm. Journey Only By God's Grace w/ Jodian Hutchinson

Send us Fan MailToday's conversation with Jodian is so heartwarming and packed with insights that can help to heal and propel you into the journey of surrendering all to Christ. What if the doorway to your purpose sits on the other side of grief, obedience, and a leap you never planned to take? We sit down with author, life coach, and NLP practitioner Jodian Hutchinson to explore a courageous journey from rejection and loss to healing, clarity, and a faith that moves her life forward. Her testimony is raw and hope-filled: writing became therapy, obedience relocated her from Jamaica to Florida, and surrender turned broken moments into fresh color outside the crayon box.We unpack the identity shift from “black sheep” to chosen, and how telling the truth on paper exposes patterns we’ve excused for years. Jodian shares the heartbreak of miscarriage and the confronting realization of hidden idols, then shows how surrender transformed anger into alignment. The “Abraham moment” of moving into the unknown cost comfort and proximity, yet rebuilt endurance and trust. Along the way, a simple phrase—broken crayons still color—becomes a lens for seeing beauty in what once felt unusable. Then we get practical. As a certified life coach and NLP practitioner, Jodian breaks down how renewing the mind works at ground level: reframing thoughts, changing language, and healing behaviors shaped by trauma. We talk about teens acting out, adults carrying teenage wounds, and how spiritual formation and mental tools work together to dismantle shame and build capacity for the blessings we pray for—especially in love, boundaries, and readiness for a partner who truly reflects Christlike care.If you’re wrestling with a hard yes, grieving a closed door, or craving a reset that sticks, this conversation offers both compass and courage. Grace In The Hard Place

Send us Fan MailWhat if the place you’d rather leave is the exact ground where God is shaping your future? We explore a raw season of working a new part-time job that didn’t feel like a “fit,” and how small, timely graces—helpful teammates, kind leaders, and even a customer’s compliment—reframed everything. Instead of labeling the assignment as punishment, we unpack how Romans 8:28 becomes a lived posture: all things are being woven for good when we choose obedience, pay attention to favor, and let humility do its deep work. You’ll hear how unexpected feedback can steady a weary heart and why naming grace matters as much as naming struggle. We talk about the uncomfortable ways pride gets exposed and how God answers prayers for growth by sending real situations that stretch us. This is the slow, hidden formation most of us avoid, yet it’s where character is built and purpose is clarified. Reflection becomes a key practice, helping us recognize patterns of provision we missed in the moment and teaching us to harvest meaning from ordinary days.If you’re feeling stuck or unseen, this conversation offers a gentle but direct reminder: your current station isn’t random, and your impact isn’t on hold. Purpose is practiced where your feet are—at the counter, in the meeting, during the commute. As we lean into obedience and gratitude, we become living pages others can read, pointing beyond ourselves to the One who sustains. Obedience to Go: Trusting God in Uncertain Seasons

Send us Fan MailWhat if the place you least expected to be is the exact ground where God is growing you for what’s next? Today we open up about obeying the nudge to go—even when “go” looks ordinary, uncomfortable, or hidden from public view. From the reality of taking a part-time job to the deeper work of learning who God is to us in hard seasons, we explore how obedience reshapes our timelines, tempers our pride, and teaches us to trust timing over optics. We walk through three big questions—why this, when does it end, and what comes next—and share how the Holy Spirit forms a quiet knowing when a season is complete. Instead of forcing doors, we talk about waiting for the right open door, the kind that comes with grace, not grind. Along the way, we get practical: how to show up as your authentic self, serve people like you’re serving God, and let the fruit of the Spirit set the tone at work and at home. Excellence in the small becomes a pathway to purpose, and impact looks like consistent love, patience, and peace that people actually miss when you’re not in the room. You’ll also hear how God confirms mission and vision in due time, often through untapped gifts and newly awakened passion. We name the temptation to rush and replace it with a posture of joy—choosing to delight in the now so we don’t miss what God is doing right here. If you’re navigating career shifts, wrestling with timing, or craving clarity about your next step, this conversation offers grounded encouragement, spiritual discernment, and simple practices you can carry into tomorrow morning. If this spoke to you, share it with a friend, hit follow, and leave a quick review so more people can find the show. What If Your Desert Season Is Actually Preparation?

Send us Fan MailHave you ever made a decision you felt God was leading you toward, only to find yourself questioning everything when the path didn't unfold as expected? That's exactly where I found myself after five years of entrepreneurship, facing the humbling reality of taking a job at a fast-food restaurant to make ends meet. The question that kept haunting me was simple yet profound: "Did I really hear God correctly?" After leaving my stable career in December 2019 to pursue speaking, coaching, and mentorship full-time, I never imagined I'd be wiping tables and mopping floors in year six of my journey. Yet this unexpected turn revealed a powerful truth about what trust actually means.Trust isn't about understanding God's timeline or having everything work out according to our plans. It's about total reliance on spiritual timing and recognizing that what appears to be a detour might actually be divine direction. Through this experience, God opened doors to minister to young people I might never have reached otherwise, deepened my spiritual intimacy through necessity, and revealed areas in my heart that needed refinement. The daily dying to self became preparation for something greater.Whatever unexpected path you find yourself walking today, remember that nothing God does or allows is wasted. Your current circumstances are merely a dot in your journey, not your destination. If you're struggling with trusting God through a difficult season, I encourage you to ask: "What lesson is He teaching me? How is He preparing me for what's next?" When we can't trace His hand, we must trust His heart. Join me in this vulnerable conversation about finding purpose in unexpected places, and discover how God works in the desert seasons of our lives.May this episode encourage you to trust God in the waiting process.Support the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer. The New Year's Eve That Changed Everything

Send us Fan MailA New Year's Eve that changed everything. In this raw and deeply personal episode, I share the heartbreaking story of how my boyfriend and I—both backsliders from our faith—made plans to return to church on January 1st, 1993. We had it all mapped out: recommit to God, get married, build our lives together. But he never made it to that day.The shocking 6 AM visit that brought news of his sudden death became my spiritual awakening. At just twenty-something years old, I learned the hardest lesson possible about the danger of postponing salvation. His funeral became the place where I recommitted my life to Christ—a second chance he never received. This episode isn't meant to frighten you but to illuminate a truth we often ignore: tomorrow isn't guaranteed. When we say "I'll get right with God later," we're essentially playing God ourselves, assuming control over time that isn't ours to command. Romans 8:28 reminds us that God works all things for good for those who love Him—even our deepest pain can become part of our purpose.Whether you've never known Christ or you've wandered away, don't fall for the enemy's lie that you have unlimited tomorrows. God's love and forgiveness are available today, regardless of how far you think you've strayed. No sin is too great for His mercy. I pray this episode serves as the gentle nudge you need to make your spiritual decisions today rather than postponing them to a tomorrow that may never come. Will you join me in prayer right now? Your eternal destiny is too important to put off until later.I hope that in this episode, you will be reminded that ONLY God has control over time; we don't. If you enjoyed this podcast episode, please share it with someone else so it can be a blessing to them as well. God is Coming Again

Send us Fan MailHave you ever caught yourself saying something you believe, but not with the urgency it deserves? That's exactly what happened to me this birthday morning when I received a powerful spiritual wake-up call that left me shaken and convicted.Through a dream featuring the simple yet profound refrain "God is coming again," the Holy Spirit revealed something uncomfortable: while I've been acknowledging the signs of Christ's return, I haven't truly been living with genuine belief in its urgency. This revelation hit me like a ton of bricks, leading to immediate repentance and a renewed mission to share this message with everyone who will listen. The timing of this message feels divinely orchestrated. For years, I've encouraged listeners to use their God-given gifts through this podcast, reminding you that God can use anyone regardless of their past. But today's revelation adds a crucial dimension - the gift-giver is returning, and possibly sooner than we've allowed ourselves to believe. I share a powerful vision I received years ago, where I experienced what felt like my spirit ascending to heaven while my body remained behind. This encounter with God's presence left me with an overwhelming concern for unsaved loved ones and a mission that continues today.Whether you're a devoted believer, someone who has walked away from faith, or someone who hasn't yet decided to follow Christ, this message is for you. Scripture tells us no one knows the day or hour of Christ's return, but we're called to live prepared. Today is the only day we have - so where will He find you when He comes? I invite you to take this message to heart and consider what it means for your life, your priorities, and your eternal destiny. Waiting on God's Timing: When Your Vision Seems Stalled

Send us Fan MailEver clutched a God-given dream so tightly your knuckles turned white, only to find yourself years later still waiting for it to materialize? That frustrating gap between divine revelation and manifestation is exactly what we're tackling in this soul-stirring episode. The waiting season tests not just our faith but our understanding of how God operates. When He plants visions in our hearts that seem perpetually stalled, we face tough questions: Did I hear Him correctly? Am I missing something? Has God forgotten? These aren't signs of weak faith—they're honest reflections of the tension between divine timing and human impatience. What if the delay isn't a denial but preparation? I share my own five-year journey of waiting and the profound realization that transformed my perspective: God cares as much about who we become in the process as He does about the destination. Those smaller assignments we sometimes overlook or minimize might be the very stepping stones toward the bigger vision. As Jesus taught, when we're "faithful over a few things," God makes us "ruler over many things."The vision God gave you hasn't died, and He hasn't forgotten. He's orchestrating circumstances, preparing hearts (including yours), and ensuring that when your dream materializes, it happens at the perfect time and in the perfect way. The waiting season isn't wasted time—it's preparation time, the soil in which your character grows, your faith deepens, and your capacity expands.Ready to rekindle hope for that dream gathering dust on your spiritual shelf? Listen now, and let's discover together how to partner with God in the process while trusting His perfect timing. Share this episode with someone struggling to hold onto their vision, because sometimes the most powerful gift we can offer is permission to keep believing.I hope this episode reminds you not to give up, but instead to seek God for the next steps.Support the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer. God's Faithfulness Carries Us When We Keep Showing Up

Send us Fan MailHave you ever wondered if your small victories are worth celebrating? When that Buzzsprout notification lit up my screen announcing 1,000 podcast downloads, I faced a choice: dismiss it as insignificant or recognize it as evidence of faithfulness.A thousand downloads over 13 months breaks down to roughly 2.5 downloads per day. Some would scoff at these numbers, pointing to content creators who achieve this in a single day. But that's missing the point entirely. This milestone represents something far more valuable than metrics—it represents showing up consistently even when doubt whispered that no one was listening, fears suggested my voice didn't matter, and logic questioned the purpose of continuing. The journey to 1,000 downloads taught me three transformative lessons that apply to any God-given assignment. First, obedience truly is the pathway to blessing. When God repeatedly prompted me to share my story through this medium, each episode became an act of trust. Second, consistency creates momentum even when results aren't immediately visible. There were weeks I allowed fear to win and skipped recording, but pushing through those barriers gradually built confidence and listeners. Third, authenticity resonates more powerfully than perfection. Being genuinely myself—vulnerabilities and all—created connection with listeners from places as unexpected as Nairobi, Kenya. What dream has God planted in your heart that you've hesitated to pursue? Someone is waiting for your obedience. They're waiting for you to use your voice, start that business, launch that ministry, or take that first imperfect step. As Philippians 1:6 reminds us, "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion." Trust His timing, embrace the journey, and celebrate every milestone along the way—because showing up consistently is a victory worth acknowledging.Don't ever let anyone stop or hinder you from acknowledging every small win; don't wait for the big things to show appreciation for what God has done for you.Support the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer. Navigating Life As A Single Parent

Send us Fan MailThe journey of single parenthood often feels like carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Every decision, every struggle, every moment of joy belongs solely to you - a reality I've lived through as a single mother raising two daughters. When I became a mother at 18, I quickly discovered the raw truth about raising a child alone. Despite growing up in a two-parent household, I was unprepared for the emotional, spiritual, and financial challenges ahead. Without extended family nearby, the isolation made everything harder. Simple luxuries like personal time became impossible when every dollar went toward necessities. The emotional toll left me wondering how I maintained my sanity through those years. My faith became my anchor. During moments when I felt I couldn't continue, when the burden seemed too heavy, I turned to God and my church community. These connections provided not just spiritual guidance but practical support when I needed it most. Yet I still made mistakes - harsh words spoken in frustration, discipline administered in anger rather than wisdom. As my mother wisely noted, "Three things never return: the spoken word, the sped arrow, and the missed opportunity."This conversation examines how single parents can navigate life's challenges by cultivating emotional stability and spiritual awareness. I share personal stories about making tough choices, seeking community support, and finding balance between caring for children and investing in personal growth. For those raising children alone, particularly after divorce, this message offers hope that with faith and community, you can not only survive but thrive. The sacrifices of single parenthood are immense, but remember - you're raising the next generation. Children live what they learn. Your resilience, your faith, and your love are shaping their futures in profound ways. Who Told You That You Couldn't? Overcoming Self-Doubt and Finding Your Voice

Send us Fan Mail"Who told you that you couldn't?" It's a simple question that strikes at the heart of our deepest insecurities and self-imposed limitations. Every day, we battle thoughts that seem to appear from nowhere, telling us we're not qualified enough, not gifted enough, or simply not enough to pursue our dreams and purpose. This heartfelt conversation dives into the battlefield of our minds where the enemy works tirelessly to keep our voices silent and our gifts hidden. Why does that voice of doubt feel so familiar and so convincing? Because it strategically targets our most vulnerable areas of confidence. When excitement about a new idea or opportunity arises, that contrary voice quickly follows with all the reasons we should retreat. The struggle is universal—I've spoken with women from all walks of life who appear outwardly confident yet privately admit to being paralyzed by fear. Whether it's fear of judgment, fear of making mistakes, or fear of stepping into the unknown, these thought patterns keep us locked where we are while everyone else seems to move forward. But what if those limiting beliefs aren't actually your thoughts at all?God has equipped us for everything He calls us to do. Making mistakes isn't failure—it's how we learn and grow. I share candidly about my own imperfect journey with podcast production and how choosing to show up despite mistakes has allowed this message to reach those who needed to hear it. The enemy wants nothing more than for your wisdom, your story, and your God-given gifts to remain hidden. But someone needs what only you can offer. What would happen if you replaced those limiting thoughts with the truth of who God says you are? What if His voice became louder than your fears? Today, make the choice to push forward, to use your voice as a catalyst for change, and to trust that the One who created you has already equipped you for your divine purpose.Support the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer. Finding God's Grace in Your Darkest Moments

Send us Fan MailHave you ever looked back at your life and wondered how you survived your darkest moments? That reflection point is exactly where this transformative conversation begins. Walking through personal valleys of shame, regret, and poor decisions reveals a profound truth that resonates with anyone carrying the weight of their past mistakes.Romans 8:28 promises that all things work together for good for those who love God, but embracing this truth requires letting go of the self-condemnation that often lingers long after we've received forgiveness. The journey from self-loathing to self-forgiveness unfolds as we explore how God preserves us even when our choices lead us astray. Those broken relationships, misguided decisions, and painful experiences aren't wasted—they become the very stepping stones God uses to build your testimony. Many of us struggle with self-worth, seeking validation in all the wrong places before discovering our true value in God's unwavering love. The enemy whispers that we're defined by our worst moments, but God's truth declares that nothing can separate us from His love. This episode offers a gentle reminder that your past doesn't determine who you are, but rather informs the powerful story God is writing through your life. As you listen, you'll find permission to forgive yourself, embrace your journey, and recognize that your mess is becoming a message someone else desperately needs to hear. God isn't finished with your story—the most beautiful chapters may still lie ahead.God's words are a clear reminder to us of His love for us, and trust His word. God's Gentle Reminder: The Gift of Gratitude

Send us Fan MailEver found yourself fixated on everything that went wrong while completely missing what went right? That's exactly where I found myself after hosting my fifth anniversary luncheon. Despite months of careful planning, unexpected challenges arose, creating what felt like chaos behind the scenes. As I lay in bed that night, mentally cataloging every imperfection, God's gentle but firm voice cut through my frustration: "Don't be ungrateful."Those three words stopped me in my tracks. While I had been obsessing over logistics that didn't flow perfectly, I'd completely overlooked the beautiful community that had gathered to support me. My daughter wisely observed, "Mom, you have community." Women had shown up, paid for tickets, offered help, and received value from the event—yet I couldn't see past my dashed expectations to appreciate these blessings. The event speaker even commented on the warm welcome she'd received and the obvious love from my team of women. This powerful lesson reminds us that gratitude isn't just about being thankful when everything goes right—it's about recognizing God's hand at work even amid disappointment. Scripture tells us to "give thanks in everything," which requires an intentional shift in focus. Where are you today? Are you dwelling on unanswered prayers and failed plans, or can you see how God is showing up in unexpected ways? An attitude of gratitude doesn't mean immediately feeling thankful during difficult moments, but it does mean eventually acknowledging that God accomplishes His purposes even when our plans fall short. I'm learning that this perspective change doesn't just honor God—it transforms our hearts and allows us to be fully present in the moments that matter most.Support the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer. When God Closes Doors

Send us Fan MailHave you ever felt frustrated when God closes a door in your life? That disappointment, that questioning of "Why, God?" is exactly what we're addressing in this transformative episode.Drawing wisdom from Genesis 7:16b - "and the Lord shut him in" - we unpack a powerful revelation about Noah's experience that completely reframes how we should view divine closed doors. When God closed Noah into the ark, He wasn't abandoning him - He was enclosing him with everything needed for survival. This seemingly simple scripture contains profound truth that has been resonating in my spirit for months. The enemy wants us to believe we're alone behind closed doors, but nothing could be further from truth. God provides protection, provision, peace, joy, and supportive community right where we are. When doors remain shut despite our prayers, it's because our sovereign God knows what's best - either we're not ready for what's beyond that door, or He has something better in store. This episode challenges you to take inventory of what God has already provided in your current season. What wisdom, grace, and resources has He given you? Who has He placed in your life? What skills are you developing during this waiting period? Just as Noah eventually emerged from the ark into a new world with fresh purpose, your closed door is not punishment but preparation for something life-changing that will advance God's kingdom.Your relationship with God gives you freedom to express disappointment, but don't dwell there. Continue trusting that His plans are to prosper you, not to harm you. Even when doors remain closed, know that God has given you everything you need for this season, and your best days are still ahead. It's Ok to Cry: A Journey of Redemption and Transformation w/Gigi Renfroe

Send us Fan MailWhat happens when decades of pain and struggle finally break through the walls we've built around our hearts? Gigi Renfoe's story answers this question with raw honesty and profound hope. After battling alcoholism for over 25 years and enduring abusive relationships that nearly cost her life, Gigi found herself in a setting where everything changed. As worship music played, years of suppressed emotions erupted into tears—the first step in a transformation journey that would completely remake her life."I would deal with life by internalizing everything and pushing forward," Gigi reveals, describing how she became the friend who listened to everyone else's problems while never sharing her own. This emotional suppression created a prison of isolation until her encounter with God taught her the healing power of vulnerability. Her book title "It's Okay to Cry" emerged from this revelation—that tears aren't weakness but release. The conversation takes us through harrowing moments, including being dangled from a window in an abusive relationship, where divine intervention preserved her life long before she acknowledged God's presence. These supernatural rescues, visible only in retrospect, form the foundation of her testimony of God's persistent love. What makes this episode particularly powerful is Gigi's perspective on brokenness: "Broken in any form is still being broken," she emphasizes, dismantling the comparison barriers that often prevent people from seeking healing. Her message reaches anyone who believes their past disqualifies them from transformation: "There's never too broken or a sin too great or too much bottled inside, because God is so great and so wonderful."Whether you're struggling with addiction, recovering from abuse, or simply feeling that vulnerability is too risky, Gigi's testimony offers tangible hope. Through her journey, we discover that our darkest moments can become our greatest testimony when surrendered to redemption's transforming power.Ready to discover how your tears can become stepping stones to purpose? You Are Enough In God's Eyes

Send us Fan MailHave you ever felt unworthy of your calling? That paralyzing sense that you're somehow not enough to fulfill what God has asked of you? You're not alone.Self-doubt and unworthiness almost derailed my own purpose journey. I couldn't see past my perceived flaws – my appearance, my voice, my background. I created endless mental lists of all the ways I fell short, convinced that God surely had someone better, more qualified, more polished in mind for the work He was calling me to.But here's the powerful truth I discovered: everything about you – yes, everything – perfectly matches the purpose God has ordained for your life. Your voice, your story, your experiences, even the things you consider flaws, are precisely what make you uniquely qualified for your divine assignment. When we reject these aspects of ourselves, we're essentially questioning God's wisdom in creating us exactly as we are.Through five powerful scriptures, we explore God's perspective on our worth. Psalm 139 reminds us we are "fearfully and wonderfully made." 1 Peter 2:9 declares us a "chosen people." Ephesians 2:10 reveals we are God's "handiwork, created for good works prepared in advance." Even Moses questioned his adequacy, yet God simply promised, "I will be with you." And 1 John 3:1 reminds us of the Father's lavish love that calls us His children. What you're called to do, no one else can do in exactly your way. The enemy wants to keep you trapped in self-doubt because he knows the impact you'll have when you finally embrace who God made you to be. Don't let his lies rob you of stepping into your purpose. When you don't see worth in your own eyes, remember that God does – and His perspective is the only one that truly matters. Ready to embrace your uniqueness and fulfill your calling? Lessons Learned: Loving, Accepting & Valuing Me

Send us Fan MailHave you ever felt defined by your mistakes, your circumstances, or the weight of your past? That feeling of being trapped in a narrative you didn't choose can be suffocating, especially when you're trying to walk in faith. This deeply personal conversation explores three transformative lessons I've learned through my own journey of heartache and redemption. First, we dive into the critical foundation of loving, accepting, and valuing yourself. So many of us place the burden of our worth on relationships, only to discover an emptiness when those relationships change. I share how I learned—through difficult seasons—that self-worth must be established within before it can be recognized by others. The conversation then shifts to my experience as a teenage mother and the powerful realization that early motherhood doesn't determine your destiny or limit your dreams. Whether you've experienced this yourself or know someone who has, this portion offers hope that paths can change without diminishing our purpose.Perhaps most powerfully, we explore why we must refuse to be defined by our past mistakes. Using the analogy of driving while only looking in the rearview mirror, I explain why God calls us to acknowledge our past without remaining stuck there. Your history informs your testimony but doesn't determine your future. This episode concludes with a heartfelt prayer for every woman feeling lost, undervalued, or trapped by her circumstances. Remember, you are positioned for purpose. Everything you've experienced—though God may not have caused it—He can use for His glory when you surrender it to Him. Your story matters, and someone else needs to hear how you overcame. My prayer is this episode will  cause you to reflect and identify any of the lessons and determine to change if there are any.Support the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer. What on Earth Are You Here For? Discovering Your God-Given Purpose

Send us Fan MailWhat on earth are you here for? That seemingly simple question has profound implications for every woman of faith seeking to understand her divine calling. My personal journey began in 2019 when I felt God urging me to leave a job I loved without clearly revealing what was next. The fear was overwhelming—stepping from security into uncertainty, from the familiar into the unknown—yet something deeper pulled me toward obedience.Through prayer and guidance from a life coach, I discovered my purpose centered around impacting women by sharing my own story of divorce, childhood trauma, and struggles with confidence. The very pain I wanted to hide became the foundation of my ministry. This revelation didn't come easily; it required overcoming my resistance to being stretched beyond comfort and accepting that God's plans didn't match my preconceived notions.Finding your purpose begins with specific questions: What brings you joy? What problems do you naturally solve? Where has God positioned you right now? Sometimes your calling isn't about leaving your current situation—God may want to use you exactly where you are, in your family, workplace, or community. Other times, He calls you to step out, acquire new skills, and face financial or personal costs you never anticipated. My five-year journey walking in purpose hasn't been easy. There have been days I wanted to abandon everything, yet each time I chose obedience, God provided support through unexpected people and opportunities. The underpinning truth remains: "All things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28). Your mess can become a message, your test a testimony, but only if you're willing to pay the price of obedience. Purposely Grateful: All About Him

Send us Fan MailOur conversation today focuses on purposely choosing gratitude despite what is happening around us.If you are like me, there are times when our hearts are ungrateful towards God. It happens when what we pray for and receive does not align with what God gave us, and we become discouraged, and the heart of gratitude becomes sour.2024 has been a challenging year, and if we are not careful, that is all we can see; however, if we are mindful to ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to His goodness over the year, we will see that it was not as hard as we thought and that He kept us throughout. On the other hand if you doubt that your heart was filled with gratitude and the Holy Spirit revealed that you weren't, confess and then allow Him to fill your heart with thankfulness, that is what He did for me this year.Support the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer. A Sisters Journey of Faith & Resilience in the Face of Adversity

Send us Fan MailIn recognition of breast cancer awareness month, I sat down to speak with Sis Grizzle to hear her story on her personal experience with breast cancer. She shared her experience, starting with a small pimple-like growth that she initially thought was caused by a wire bra. Over six months, the growth increased in size and became uncomfortable. Grizzle consulted a doctor, who sent her to do further tests. She talked about receiving the diagnosis, learning that it was specifically a rare type called R2. The cancer required a chemotherapy treatment every three weeks, which continued until June. Throughout our discussion, the recurring theme of the importance of faith, resilience, and support in adversity was evident.Grizzle shared the emotional and physical challenges of dealing with a serious health issue, the role of prayer and divine guidance in her journey, and the impact her experience would have on the lives of others. The conversation concluded with her acknowledging God's presence in her life and encouraging us to continue trusting God. Sisters, we encourage you to get your yearly mammograms and do your own breast self-exam. If something feels out of place, schedule your doctor's appointment and get it checked out. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. #resilience #faith #hope #encouragement #breastcancer #support #womenoffaith #standingonchristthesolidrock #sistersinchristSupport the showColette’s BioColette Lawrence is an author, dynamic motivator, life coach, and personal development Trainer.
