I was able to contribute to the long, strange pantheon of luminaries and thinkers that helped shape my occulting and metaphysical journey since I was but a wee punk.  DISINFORMATION, especially the Richard Metzger era (who now runs DANGEROUSMINDS.NET).  DISINFORMATION&#8217;s BOOK of LIES, especially, imbued in me the RockNRoll occultism my porous rebellion quenched as a young seeker.  From the psychotronic magicks of PSYCHICK TV, WILLIAM S. BURROUGHS, GRANT MORRISON and ROBERT ANTON WILSON (who will be the subject of the next episode!) Audio Sorcerer, Psychonaut and Edgelord Slayer, THAD McKRAKEN was giving the reins to the DISINFO kingdom long before I had come around as a writing contributor and not long after the company veered heavy into the online blogging behemoth many of us magickal misfits came to peruse.  For good and for bad, Thad accepts the heavy burdens of the site&#8217;s Twilight years, from inner turmoil amongst it&#8217;s contributors (not so discussed here but more on that later) to the solidification of anchoring a discordant society of ne&#8217;er-do-wells and battling the naysayers within the edgelord annals of history.  Sure, we get into the nitty gritty about Thad&#8217;s evolution from musician and seeker to the death of DISINFO, but it was a far greater treat to pick his brain about such things as AUDIOMANCY, the metaphysical cabals behind modern drug culture and the whims of psychic insight and artistic expression utilized for artistic purposes. &nbsp; View this post on Instagram &nbsp; #disinfo contributors! The Occult with ROBERT A. POWELL EPISODE 08 &#8211; &#8220;LOGOS&#8221;  LISTEN / DOWNLOAD *NOTE: Because of size, this episode&#8217;s file is hosted through GOOGLE DRIVE* In This Episode of The PRAGMAGICK Occult Podcast&#8230; &#8220;LOGOS&#8221; &#8211; the word of God, or principle of divine reason and creative order&#8230; Revel (my nom de &#8211; whatever) is short for Revelator. Revelator was humorously bestowed on me as a slight of sorts and not of any occult or biblical reference.  The name was meant to  poke fun about my crooked past filled with drug fueled and drunken ego trips, and their careless revels and inebriated revelations. hence the emphasis on the literal meaning of Revel.  However, I&#8217;ve spent the last five years or so pursuing the Occult and the LOGOS, so to speak, attempting to reveal the &#8220;Logos,&#8221; or metaphysical truth within my redemptive story arc.  Now, it&#8217;s only fitting that my current trajectory in metaphysics is looking to rectify the sardonic aspect of my identity and create a channel to truth.  To make my nickname less a sarcastic tag and more of a purpose-filled title. Upon discovering Robert A. Powell&#8216;s Occult Oriented Youtube channel, LOGOS OF OPHIEL, I was gifted a psychic gut punch.  I have recently been taking my metaphysical studies quite seriously, recalibrating my personal magickal modes and diodes to allow for more reverence of occult traditions.  Therefore, when Robert contacted me about appearing on this podcast, I was relieved to find that his reach was revelatory; dispatched and parallel to my pursuits.  His Youtube videos have become a consistently unpretentious and enlightening source that is wholly uncommon among the marketing-minded Nu-Gurus abound on the video platform. LOGOS OF OPHIEL (Occult) I must admit, I was a little weary of the conversation&#8217;s veer into the state of modern masculinity and it&#8217;s political and philosophical affects. I do think Robert comes to some valid points. That is, concerning the lack of discipline and tradition abound in my own personal and philosophical path.  And that&#8217;s really at the core of our discussion: rectifying bad magickal habits that only self-taught and irreverent punks like me accrue! I&#8217;ve recently come to half-jokingly calling myself a &#8220;reformed&#8221; or &#8220;reforming Chaos Magician&#8221; due to the habits I&#8217;ve accrued over the years within my metaphysical and philosophical path. I absolutely still practice a form of the individualist method and rebellion that Chaos Magick is mired in, however, as far as knowledge retention and practice is concerned there was something missing. SLITHER HITHER Weirdos, Witches and Protest Punks, here&#8217;s a conversation with author, podcaster and musician ANTHONY ALVARADO! EPISODE 07 &#8211; &#8220;RESIST!&#8221;  LISTEN / DOWNLOAD &nbsp; In This Episode of The PRAGMAGICK cast&#8230; In his last novel, DIY MAGIC, writer Anthony Alvarado created a compendium of exercises to jumpstart  the &#8220;microcosm,&#8221; or  the creative revolution within an individual, and he did so without all the heavy hoopla and goo-goo-woo-woo normally exasperated in &#8220;seeker&#8221;  oriented works.  Now, my friend and fellow practitioner has set his sights on the &#8220;macrocosm&#8221;, or the individual&#8217;s ability to affect society at large by inciting a political revolution, in his new book DIY RESISTANCE: 36 Ways to Fight Back! (Seven Stories Press). The DIY ethos has been the bedrock of not only the social collectivist, but the progressive individualist across every artistic medium for decades.  Alvarado takes that same DIY gumption for creative commerce and community and corresponds it to grassroots political activism and social reform. The book totes that same, multi-generationally  self-sufficient, pragmatic approach of the DIY aesthetic into a PROTEST-PUNK PROSE meant to ignite and inspire. Let&#8217;s make no bones about it, RESISTANCE doesn&#8217;t try to be accessible for the conservative factions. ​It utilizes​ the current administration as it&#8217;s call to arms for radical change,​and ​it celebrates and motivates ​REVOLT ​by showcasing  a myriad of historical examples of fascist-like regimes upheaved by socialist collectives.   So if you&#8217;re soured by the sentiment of this book&#8217;s choice of antagonist, hold fast but listen hard: Our conversation dives deep into healing the divide as much as it does investigating it. Or devastating it. I racked my brain on when and how the political climate would  seep into PRAGMAGICK.  Even when the show was more focused on the &#8220;occult&#8221; or &#8220;esoteric&#8221;, their seemingly apolitical metaphysical philosophies seem to  support any ​practitioner&#8217;s political beliefs these days. But the program is becoming more of a personal affair into this doof&#8217;s​ spiritual and emotional evolution. From full-time-​doof and starving artist into somewhat of an integrated (little-to-no-d​oof) human and productive artist. So, yeah, we gotta address the elephant (or jackass) in the room. The Principle Of Correspondence The need to prioritize human interconnectivity, especially my relationship with a community has been a revelation (pun intended)​.  It&#8217;s easy to just wallow in ​the self-felating &#8220;seeker search&#8221; within, as I have been this past year, but it pickles and alienates one&#8217;s brain if not expressed with others.  The need for is part-and-parcel for that aforementioned integration.  This is what Hermeticism calls &#8220;The Principle Of Correspondence,&#8221; the micro and macro; &#8220;<s
