My brain moves very fast - how do I keep hold of all my ideas?
I’m answering questions that I have been asked by people who have creative minds. In this episode, I talk about ways to keep hold of your ideas and make sure you review them so you can implement some.Since recording this episode and talking about using various notes apps on phones, or writing things down on paper, I have been reminded about voice notes! I forget about them because I don’t use them myself - but I was reminded that some people find them very useful and that they can be a great way to record those ideas quickly. Sorry for forgetting that - oops….So if you are one of those people who sends yourself or other people voice notes with a stream of ideas and thoughts - you can of course do that instead of writing things down! But the rest of the audio talks about what to do with the ideas - and that should be of interest to you anyway 🙂.And if I could be that person you helps you review the ideas and figures out a system to help you implement some of them, get in touch via my website and let’s have a chat!If you enjoyed this audio and would like to be notified when the next one is published, please subscribe here:And/or please share with others who might find this interesting! I need to change my marketing approach - where do I start?
I’m answering questions that I have been asked by people who have creative minds.I was asked a question about marketing by someone whose target audience has changed, and as a result they need to move their marketing away from social media and introduce other tactics. But they were feeling daunted about how to go about this change. So in this episode, I offer some suggestions on how to start thinking about this change, as it’s something I have done with clients. In the case of clients I’ve worked with, I have usually created a marketing map and a services map, because simplifying their marketing also required a rethink of their services. If you could do with simplifying your marketing and/or the services you offer, do get in touch 🙂. We could either do a 90 minute ‘untangling’ session, or we could look at your business in more depth. You can contact me via my website. How do I actually plan a project?!
I’m answering questions that I have been asked by people who have creative minds. In this episode, I talk about planning projects. I do it using the example of a client I worked with who wanted to set up a YouTube channel and share the resulting videos with her existing audience as well as wanting the videos to bring her new clients and connections.A bit of a caveat to this one. I’m conscious that I find planning easy, likewise splitting overwhelming ideas into smaller phases and tasks. And that my brain works in a fairly linear way, so that this suggested way of planning may not work for everyone. It may need further tweaks to really make it work for you.Interestingly, I do often work with clients who have an ADHD diagnosis, or suspect that they have ADHD. And I know that planning next steps for them has not always been as simple as I perhaps made it sound in the audio. (I mention ADHD in particular just because it’s a theme that has come up quite a lot with clients and potential clients I’ve spoken to over the last year.)So what I’d say about this episode is - if after listening to it, planning still sounds overwhelming and impossible, I’d be interested to know that. I’m still learning how to help people plan - so anything I can learn would be really valuable to help me improve the way I talk about planning. If it’s not something I can easily share broad tips on, then it’s good to know that. And if actually it’s just that my help is best 1:1 then it would be good to understand that too.If you would like some 1:1 help with planning a project, visit my website to find out more about my ‘untangling’ sessions. I am also interested in having a chat for market research purposes to understand what it is about planning that’s daunting and overwhelming. So if you hate planning, send me a message and let’s have a chat 🙂.If you enjoyed this audio and would like to be notified when the next one is published, please subscribe here: This is a public episode.
