Honoring Mothers, Finding Home Within, and Reclaiming Women’s Instincts: Annamária Sütő and Anna Réka Ötvös. With Julia Neumann

In this Radically Alive Women conversation, Julia Neumann speaks with Annamária Sütő (“Wolf Woman”,) a Hungarian from Transylvania living independently in a small village, and her adult daughter Anna Réka Ötvös, who is frequently traveling between Siberia and Hungary, and learning to feel “home” within herself. They discuss shifting the mother-daughter relationship from blame and constant arguing to listening, gratitude, and choosing to focus energy on one’s own life.Annamária describes a turning point around age 35 when she stopped trying to change her mother from a rebel stance, made a gratitude list for what she received from her maternal line, and chose to change her focus on her own life and how she wanted to live. She also reflects “forward” to her relationship with Anna Réka, acknowledging that she gave her all she could and that it is up to her daughter what she does with her life.Anna Réka shares her own realisations about boundaries, from having been an adaptive daughter, and seeing her mother as human, not an all-knowing goddess (“I don’t need google, I have my mom”). They link honoring mothers to respecting Mother Earth, embracing light/dark duality, and reconnecting to instincts, including practical reflection on using anger as life power, symbolised by “wolf woman” teachings. They conclude by emphasising the importance of a woman’s intuition, and the role of fear and anger in that reconnection. This episode is an ode to choice, presence and creation looking forward - not trying to fix the past, yet honouring the necessity of healing and acknowledging ancestors.Annamária and Anna Réka offer Mother-Daughter retreats to heal the mother-daughter relationship. Contact either of them for more information. The song in the background at the beginning is Annamária’s song “The Strength of a Woman”, in Hungarian. These are the lyrics in English:The strength of a womanThe strength of one woman moves the mountains away The strength of  two women ignites the fires The strength of  there women opens the lands The strength of four women causes the springs forth The strength of  five women calls the winds The strength of  six women opens the worlds The strength of  seven women opens the gatesThe strength of  eight women opens the souls The strength of  nine women opens the heartsThe strength of one woman gives birth to life.* Love these conversations? A humble and gracious path into elderhood: Robina McCurdy. With Julia Neumann and Annika Korsten

Robina McCurdy - New Zealand born, a woman firmly grounded on this earth, a global weaver of creating a regenerative culture, an community elder who is young in her heart and ageless in her wisdom. The 76-year old woman of many hats shares through a number of examples how to live life to its full extension through one's life stages and takes a fierce stand for elderhood being recognized and honoured in our culture. Being a grandmother of children - and not a biological grandmother herself - she highlights the importance of intergenerational connection that keeps eldership alive. She is a walking example for young women to demonstrate how it can go 'not to be somebody for anybody' anymore and becoming a person of astute observation, of service, and calling out the bullshit with no holding back. She paves a way forward on how to unapologetically be yourself. As an elder and literally gradually excarnating into the spiritual world she speaks of the unique place she is in to weave between the spiritual and the world of deep matter. And like the cherry on top of the icing she dissembles one of the most misunderstood myths of getting older - she reveals unwaveringly that sexuality only becomes deeper and more insightful than ever before.*We’re passionate about bringing these conversations to you and would love your help to keep them going. Transforming Mother-Daughter Relationships: Amy Weber and Gabriela Fagundes. With Julia Neumann

Julia Neumann from Radically Alive Women speaks with parenting coach and "Tides" rites-of-passage facilitator Amy Weber and young woman Gabriela Fagundes about mother-daughter relationships, especially the transition of girls into womanhood. Amy describes navigating the empty nest as a mother and how "Tides" and "Rising Tides" help mothers and daughters renegotiate patterns, create space, and recognise that daughters’ transitions also change mothers’ identities. She shares how community and ritual can help normalise and celebrate menstruation, and support both the daughter’s push for freedom and the mother’s grief and identity shift as she “becomes obsolete” in stages.Gabriela shares her experience of pushing away, cutting contact, trying to change her mother, and eventually listening and meeting her mother as a woman, emphasising how judging or blaming mothers impacts accepting life. They discuss generational patterns, dependence, and consciously creating new ways to honour first bleeding. Practical suggestions include creative expression of feelings for mothers, and daughters writing a four-page love letter to their mothers. Amy's and Gabriela's co-written book on first bleeding is in an open-ended “gestation” process without a deadline.*We’re passionate about bringing these conversations to you and would love your help to keep them going. Graduating from Motherhood - A Process: Ellen Appleton. With Julia Neumann

This Radically Alive Women Edgecast conversation between Julia Neumann and Ellen Appleton explores “mother graduation,” the transition from actively mothering children to relating to them as independent adults. Ellen describes her deep identification with motherhood, including two wanted pregnancies, and speaks to the innate wisdom, love, and intensity she experienced as a mother. The discussion highlights how motherhood is often undervalued by society and how lack of support for pregnant women and mothers can contribute to generational trauma. Ellen shares that parenting involves repeated separations and describes the particular pain of letting her son enter manhood without clear, emotionally supportive models of masculinity, including her anger at patriarchal systems that encourage men to shut down feelings. She explains that mother graduation does not mean abandoning children, but completing the separation, cutting energetic ties, and shifting into being an elder—standing behind adult offspring rather than in front of them. Ellen details her own year-plus process involving emotional healing, grieving, and group work with other mothers, with a ceremony as a culminating celebration. She notes improvements in her relationship with her son, discusses her request for her adult children to call her “Ellen” rather than “mom,” and reflects on reclaiming her identity and energy beyond motherhood to give back to the wider community. Ellen offers initial guidance for mothers with children 18+ to make graduation a conscious topic, clearly hand responsibility back to their children, allow different timing for different children, and seek support, including coaching.*We’re passionate about bringing these conversations to you and would love your help to keep them going. She believes that change will be possible if women can speak in a real way. Breaking the silent wars between women and men, and women with women: Hanna Milling. With Stacia Beazley.

In this extremely RAW and controversial interview, Dr Hanna Milling delves into themes of personal responsibility, self-love, and collective healing between women and men, women and women, and - where it all begins - the war within ourselves. The conversation emerges from her viral video ‘From Women to Men’ in which Hanna, alongside many other women, offers her deepest apology to men saying:“...all of the accumulated pain and hate from centuries of abusive women, at the hands of unconscious men, means that we often blame and punish you for your ancestors sins, even when you show up as love.”This controversial message raised many polarised responses that ranged from heartfelt gratitude and relief to outrage and accusation. In this episode, our newest interviewer Stacia & Hanna traverse these delicate topics with honesty and nuance, exploring Hanna’s motivation for this message, what it awakened in her personally, and what this message is, and is not, about. The essence…to empower Women to empower themselves - not through blame or battle but through deeper layers of self-responsibility and love. This forms the bridge to Hanna’s current project and next video - 'From Women to Women' where she reveals, to her surprise, it was even more challenging than the first. She reflects on how centuries of societal conditioning has bred so much competition, comparison, silencing and separation eroding the foundation of true sisterhood. Not a sisterhood that is against men but one that is for life.Hanna speaks with conviction and heart, grounded in her own personal experience. She shares that before she can become a public face of these messages she must go first and doing so was the biggest gift of all.*We’re passionate about bringing these conversations to you and would love your help to keep them going. Orgasmic Healing to Manifest Money: Amira Gorski. With Annika Korsten

Amira's passion for what she stands for comes through in the interview by her expression to lead life from pleasure using the yoni as a compass to create and manifest in life. Through shifting the inner compass natural impulses can start to flow again. She advocates for women to connect to their (in German) 'Lust' , which is not just pleasure but also being connected what your soul wants to birth into life.In our conversation she acknowledges the difficulties of women in the past needing to protect offspring out of love because of circumstances that did not allow for sexual expression and independance. She highlights how women today have more possibillities to heal this collective sexual trauma in the maternal line by using pleasure as our personal navigation system to access our wants and ultimately manifest money resources to flow towards our projects. One of the explorations in her work connect to letting in and letting out - receiving and birthing. Most women end birth with the feeling of 'I am not capable of birth'. How would women walk through life receiving the financial resources to create anything they want and how would the world look like if women tapped back into the orgsmic power of birthing and healing? She highlights that shifting into a yoni-led mind - and bodyset will turn your life upside down as it did for her. She started a business from the place of pleasure, made unreasonable decisions some might call 'crazy', which led her directly to financial return and success with her femine led business Lustgeburt.de . Within a month Amira was able to step off the benefit, and within a year made a 100k turn around.Amira works primarily as a doula with pregnant women and couples, having had her own oragsmic birth with her first child, but now expands to also coaching women and businesses who want to use the doorway of pleasure to leading a more fullfilled life. Whilst by now all her offers, including her book 'Lustgeburt, are only available in German she is starting to explore how to make her content available in English too. *We’re passionate about bringing these conversations to you and would love your help to keep them going. The Love of Men - A New Men's Culture: Jay Bennett, Leonhard Geupel and Martin Šalanda. With Julia Neumann.

Jay Bennett, Leonhard Geupel and Martin Šalanda joined this conversation with Julia Neumann to share of their experience in creating the "Gaian Men's Bridgehouse" at the center of New Zealand's North Island in December 2024/January 2025.It is an unusual topic for "Radically Alive Women" to broadcast about Men's culture. We chose to do it anyway because we care about the radical aliveness of men just as much. As you will notice, it is truly heart-opening to witness how these men embody love through their shared experience, and we want this to be available to many more.We were particularly touched by men learning to relate with each other, to feel together, and to lean on each other, and the side effect of that for their relating with women: An adult relating becomes possible where the man doesn't need anything from women. He gets to share his feelings and emotions also with men, which frees him from "needing" emotional support from the women in his life. It becomes optional. Goodbye, codependent relationship!May many men be inspired by this conversation and by what becomes possible when men dare to dive deep together and become intimate and vulnerable with each other.Topics discussed:How building intimate connections with other men helps break cultural norms and personal barriers. Being a Yes to other men.Shifting out of the lone wolf strategy (protective layers of men).Learning to express emotions such as sadness, fear, and anger openly with one another, which could have been reserved for interactions with women. The fear of opening up to a man because of the potential harshness.Going on adventures, including nature quests. Collaborative efforts to create deeper bonds and emotional healing. Creating a haling field from impulses.Collective experiences that led to a significant shift in how they relate to themselves, each other, and the Earth. The importance of creating a purpose-driven environment that encourages vulnerability and authenticity among men.* We love bringing you these conversations and we ask for your support in making them possible. Reclaiming Aliveness Through Transforming Self-Doubt and Redefining Selfishness: Bishop Reid. With Julia Neumann

Bishop Reid is a somatic based business coach and trauma informed breathwork & mindfulness certified facilitator, working worldwide. In this episode, she shares about reclaiming aliveness, transforming self-doubt, and redefining selfishness. Bishop speaks of her personal journey with reclaiming her inner fire, constantly going to the edge with her online business, and navigating the cycles of self-doubt and confusion. Bishop discusses the significance of somatic leadership, and the critical role of the nervous system and conscious fear in transforming self-doubt. She shares of her observation that self-doubt often transpires when we are coming to our own edge, the edge of our comfort zone. "Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast."Instead of freezing, over-analysing, overwhelm, or moving frantically, Bishop offers the possibility of slowing down while still moving. She emphasises the importance of presencing our bodies instead of going into "figuring it out", which can happen with rage work, breathwork, somatic techniques, and also by circulating fear in the nervous system. She explores the shadow side of women's experiences, including societal expectations and the importance of a new definition of selfishness in cultivating personal and professional growth. Bishop also generously offers a variety of practices, including possibilities for staying grounded, including rage work, breathwork, and the transformative power of creative mess-making. She advocates for collaboration and encourages women to support each other in their journeys of self-discovery and empowerment. This conversation was navigated by Julia Neumann. * Did you enjoy this conversation and found it helpful? Dying Gracefully: Margaret McCallum. With Annika Korsten

Margaret McCallum is a Soul Midwife and Death Doula. In this episode she shares the freedom and aliveness of Death becoming part of everyday life. She suggest that by opening to the challenges and nudges from life in the current moment and choosing to die the little deaths life becomes fuller & richer and the big death in the end can become an easeful space of surrender. In that place the inner knowing by the soul - when the time has come - can simply let go and life can complete itself. She invites anyone walking alongside the dying to acknowledge each individual's process by not making it any different for the individual yet to hold a space for the possibility of a different perpective and approach. In the end of the discours the space opens to the beauty and peace of silence; of finding silence from within through pauses in everyday life. Prior to this interview, Annika interviewed Margaret and the sound did not come out as clean. Anna’s presence is captivating in its simplicity and humility, creating a space where the nervous system can relax and shift toward a more compassionate orientation toward oneself and life. While acknowledging the pain that exists in every human experience, including her own, Anna illuminates a path where life can be full of love and adventure—living from what truly matters, not out of obligation, but from a genuine desire to do so. Sovereign Birth and Self-Response-Ability: Claire Eccleston. With Annika Korsten

Claire Eccleston is a midwife of life. Amongst many hats she wears, she is a mother and a grandmother and takes a radical stand in the birth space. She advocates the reverence for a Woman's body and bringing back the knowledge and wisdom through its inherent physiology.  In this conversation with Annika Korsten, she takes a leap into where birth stands today in many Western cultures, including aiming to control birth, the use of technology and machinery, and the link with a disconnect from the land. The ancient art  of birth work, on the other hand,  stresses the importance of touch, senses and "Being with" as opposed to "doing to". Whilst the Western approach aims to create a space of safety, ancient birth work relies on the safety of the physiology of the birthgiver. Claire is not biased in her approach to birth, neither does she give preference to the way it plays out. She promotes Women's capacities to respond to birth (as opposed to controlling it) and to be empowered to have choice on their pathway. Claire emphasise this sense of self-response-ability that goes beyond giving birth. As such, this episode could be of interest for anyone curious about the ability to respond from the self, including especially bodily sensations of clear Yes and No. Claire practices predominantly in Aotearoa, New Zealand, and travels every year to spread her tools and wisdom internationally especially via "Spinning Babies",  a unique approach to birth which aims to revitalize the intelligence of the physiology of the birthgiver and baby before medical intervention.  * You can show your appreciation for these conversations by donating to the Edgecast: RAW Edgecast donations – Radically Alive Women * For more information:  https://www.claireecclestonmidwife.com/ https://www.spinningbabies.com/ https://www.mp.pl/auschwitz/journal/english/193055,a-midwifes-report-from-auschwitz (Stanislawa Leszczyńska) www.radicallyalivewomen.com If you would like to read about and find some practices for your Yes and No, you might be interested in this Radically Alive Women publication: Her Conscious Anger Workbook for Women, www.radicallyalivewomen.com/shop. Empowering through Regenerative Practices: Yaki Wo. With Julia Neumann

Yaki Wo is the Mother of two, a forest therapy guide, and a regenerative practitioner. Besides being a Mother, her main work is introducing people to regenerative development and practice for future positive leadership. She is originally from Hong Kong and today lives in Australia. In this episode, Yaki shares how she got to develop Future Positive, or “Future+”, a programme she birthed in collaboration with Beijing based “Wild Bound”. It is a programme to bring regenerative practice, which she defines as cultivating essence-to-essence relationship between whole living beings, to architects and urban planners. Yaki shares her journey from feeling out of place in Hong Kong, studying journalism with a strong sense of justice, becoming a human rights campaigner, winning a scholarship in the UK which got her into climate change, and joining a philanthropic foundation funding NGOs that work on climate change issues.  Listen to this episode to learn about how a dream job can turn into burn-out if old principles of pure logic and analytics are applied, and how personal life challenges can lead to change of focus. Through the death of her mother, Yaki came to enquire her spirituality, and became a forest therapy guide. Her becoming a Mother and encountering Covid lockdowns spurred her development further. As she learned to trust for things to emerge rather than trying to impose, listening and noticing where the patterns are emerging, she came to co-create Future+.  Today she offers Future+ workshops and community support, mainly in Asia, with a focus on regenerative discipline, to empower people to move beyond old school thinking to a more regenerative way forward. Listen till the end for a practical exercise to take into your life. A Year-Long Women’s Journey: Annika Korsten and Julia Neumann. With Hannah Abouzahrah.

This episode is a conversation amongst the three main spaceholders of RAW Edgecast. Hannah Abouzahrah holds space for Annika Korsten and Julia Neumann to speak about their One-Year-Long Journey, travelling and living largely together and partly separately, as Women committed to honesty and inhabiting their own culture. In November 2023, Annika and Julia co-created and lived in the first Women’s Bridge-House together with 4-5 other Women, in Golden Bay, New Zealand. In early December 2023, they sat off on a journey North by car and via ferry across the Cook Strait. What followed was a travel to visit other Women across New Zealand’s North Island, refining their own culture and taking it where they went. Navigating from moment to moment. Radically relying on their impulses and each other’s wisdom. Setting boundaries. Navigating to (non-romantic) intimacy as sisters from different parents. In early 2024, they lived in Motueka together, partly also with men, but mostly with other Women in Women-only spaces. Later in the year, both separately took off to Europe to connect with their roots and visit yet more Women. When they found themselves together again on the ferry across the Cook Strait in October 2024, this time Southbound, to hold space for Radically Alive Women’s Immersion, they noticed how they had come full circle. This recording is a start to make some of the rich findings of this extraordinary journey accessible to you.* If you want to support this Edgecast, you can donate to its creation with a financial contribution here: www.radicallyalivewomen.com/donate. *For more information:www.radicallyalivewomen.comwww.julia-neumann.comwww.annikakorsten.orghttps://hannahabouzahrah.mystrikingly.comhttps://dignity-bridgehouse.mystrikingly.comhttps://bridge-house.mystrikingly.com

Reclaiming the Feminine Ebb and Flow of Life: Clare Dubois. With Annika Korsten

In this episode, we are honoured to host Clare Dubois at RAW Edgecast once again. Clare is the founder of Treesisters.org, a global women's organisation for reforestation. She left Treesisters in October 2022, with burnout and mould poisoning, coupled with her transitioning through menopause. Since leaving the organisation, Clare has been facing her trauma work and surrendering to the death of her past self. * You can show your appreciation for this conversation and support the creation of more episodes like this one with a donation. * In this conversation with Annika Korsten, Clare shows up as a walking permission for every woman and man on Earth: to feel the death of versions of ourselves and our species that have collided with the world as it is, and to allow the authentic part of our soul to express.  She invites us to be radically present with each moment and each experience and to let the alchemical process unfold on the basis of feminine principles, as a way forward to face the mess and chaos of a culture rooted in disservice to life.  Clare highlights the epigenetic imprint in Women encultured by a profound fear of being female and ultimately a fear to die. If we allowed the cyclical, emotional and intuitive nature of Women to come alive, the lie of rejection would be washed away by rivers of unconditional love. At this point, Clare invites us to imagine a different culture. Clearing and cleansing the Earth and ourselves will require an enormous amount of compassion for the parts of ourselves that have not yet grown up to an extent that we could fathom. It will require us to face the results of the barbaric choices we've made, and the violence we use towards ourselves, each other and the Earth.  Clare's clarity and boldness empowers Women to bury the lie of of separation, to come forward in unity with other Women, to claim back our sovereignty and to own our birthright of belonging. To thine own self be true: Being a radical stand. Julia Butterfly Hill. With Julia Neumann

In this episode we bring you the voice of Julia Butterfly Hill.Between 1997 and 1999, Julia sat for over two years in a 1,000 year old Redwood tree („Luna“), taking a stand to protect this tree and the ancient forest from clearing. She and her team succeeded. This interview goes beyond this remarkable event. Julia speaks with immense Clarity about what it takes to be a person who is able to be authentically herself, and from her heart-knowing to be a Radical Stand for life on this planet. She speaks into the necessity for collaboration as Women, despite being raised in a culture that champions competition. Julia’s words call forth the innate power within each person to make a real difference in this world. How important it is to go continuously beyond your comfort zone, lean into your fear, trust your gut, and be willing to make mistakes. It is in those mistakes that we learn and collectively grow our capacities as a human species, in that a different culture is born. Redwoods are trees that grow as a community, not as individual trees.
