What is God's plan for overcoming fear? It is not as easy as some 1-2-3 step plan. It has to do with faith, and who said faith was easy?

Lee (the youth minister) and I had the opportunity to preach a sermon together. We work well together and have done this in the past. We were both convicted by Paul's message of reconciliation, in particular his call that we take up the ministry of reconciliation. The text is 2 Corinthians 5:17-19. Preached 3/18/2007

February is Black History Month and I was given the opportunity to preach about race and the church. This is a topic I feel very strongly about. According to Ephesians 2, the cross of Christ tore down the wall of hatred that separated different people.

There is something deep inside all of us that causes us to want to be known for who we really are, and yet we all have our mask that we wear. If there is one thing I could suggest that we do in order to have healthier relationships it would be for all of us to take off our mask.

There is a great line in the movie, Radio, that says, "It is never a mistake to care for someone." In this particular text Jesus asks, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or kill?" If Jesus were to answer his own question I believe he would have said something very similar to the famous line in Radio.
