    Genesis 16 - Waiting on God’s Promise

    After God’s promise to give Abram and Sarai an heir, ten years pass and Sarai decides to help God. This leads to suffering and pain because of a lack of trust in God. However, He is faithful in all things, especially His promise.

    Genesis 15 - The Covenant Keeping God

    After Abram’s faith, God again reassures him of this promise by making a covenant with Abram. This covenant however, is solely dependent on God. Because of God’s faithfulness, we can rest in the certainty of these promises.

    After receiving the promise from God, Abram is still dealing with fears and doubts. However, after God reassures him, Abram believed! This is the same powerful truth for Christians today, to believe in the Lord.

    After Abram’s successful mission to rescue his nephew Lot, he is met by two kings. However one king brings a blessing pointing us towards the one and true priest-king… Jesus.

    4 Eastern Kings come and conquer 5 southern Kings and end up taking Lot and his possessions. Abram gathers his trained men and allies and heads out to rescue his nephew. This is a glimpse of our need for rescue from our greatest enemy.
