The Letter I Wrote To Jesus Before My Baptism
In this episode, I share a very personal letter that I wrote to Jesus Christ just before getting baptized to rededicate my life to Him.For years, I believed the lie that pleasure, money, status, and image would bring true fulfillment. At 22 years old, I was making $500,000, leading a team of 60 sales reps, and living a wild lifestyle—yet I was spiritually dead, empty, and hating my life. Worldly pleasure didn't bring me joy; it led me straight to the gates of hell.Ten months ago, I was at rock bottom, addicted to lust and pornography, having tried every recovery group and white-knuckling technique without success. But when I put the promise of Galatians 5:16 to the test and chose to walk in the Spirit daily through scripture, fasting, and fervent prayer, God completely purged the demon of lust from my mind and replaced my heart of stone with a heart of flesh. In this video, I read the exact letter I wrote to my Savior for my baptism, declaring the burial of my old wicked self and my new identity as a warrior for His kingdom. I also break down the promise from the Gospel of Mark: why any sacrifice you make to follow Jesus Christ will be paid back to you 100-fold in true peace, purpose, and spiritual abundance. What you’ll hear:The true ordinance of baptism: Burying the old self and being reborn in Christ.Reading my personal baptism letter written directly to Jesus. How putting God's word to the test purged a deep-seated addiction in 4 to 6 months.Trading strip clubs and hookups for late-night prayers with God.Why making $500k at 22 years old still left me empty and dead inside. The 100-fold promise: Why surrendering everything to Christ is worth every sacrifice. If this message spoke to your heart, consider this channel a safe haven for your journey. We are here to bring you the hope, restoration, and real-life tools found only in Jesus Christ.

My Story: The Day I Prayed to the Devil, But Jesus Reclaimed My Soul
In this deeply personal and transparent episode, I open up and share in full depth my raw story about the miraculous redemption of Jesus Christ. From a very young age, I was met with immense inner turmoil and intrusive thoughts. At 13 years old, I was exposed to pornography for the first time, sparking a deep and destructive 14-year addiction. At that exact same time, I realized I was struggling with same-sex attraction—a heavy thorn in my side that I had no idea how to navigate while being told by the world that it was who I was.I open up about the darkest periods of my life, including using toxic coping mechanisms, getting married and divorced, falling back into the abyss of depression, and eventually fantasizing about ending my life. I even share the terrifying night I felt so abandoned by God that I literally prayed to and worshiped the devil. But a total rock bottom became the exact foundation I needed to finally rebuild my identity strictly on the Word of God. I want to talk about the radical difference between who I was and who I am now as an entirely new creature walking in His abundant life. What you’ll hear:Living a double life: Leadership on the outside vs. hidden darkness on the inside. The 14-year battle with pornography addiction and same-sex attraction starting at age 13.The reality of deep inner turmoil and crying myself to sleep as a teenager. The dangerous timeline of escalation: How pornography leads straight to the gates of hell.Spiritual warfare: Facing literal demonic attacks while trying to find the light again. The blueprint to freedom: The exact morning routine and fasting structure that purged the lust from my heart. If you found yourself in my story today, please know you don't have to walk through the darkness alone. This podcast is dedicated to providing you with the community you need to find true freedom.

The Day I Tried To End My Life, But Jesus Rescued Me
In this episode, Wes shares his deeply moving, raw journey of surviving severe internal pain, isolation, and a near-fatal choice. From the outside, Wes’s life had milestone achievements—including walking on to play Division 1 college football at BYU. But internally, he was dealing with deep-seeded anger, resentment, and the trauma of growing up in a broken home. He opens up completely about the perfect storm of relationship betrayal, intense family conflict, and academic stress that drove him to a Provo Temple parking lot, where he shot himself in the chest.Wes talks about the exact millisecond reality set in, the absolute miracle of a bullet narrowly curving around his heart by just three millimeters, and the immediate internal shift that wiped away any suicidal thoughts forever. This conversation highlights a heavy reality that many of us face but rarely discuss openly: the dangerous trap of carrying a massive backpack of shame instead of leaning into the truth. Wes explains what began to change for him, how he learned to view his deepest afflictions through an eternal perspective, and why choosing to surrender your pain to Jesus Christ is the ultimate step toward true redemption and a whole new light. What you’ll hear:Navigating the underlying trauma and lack of security that comes from a broken home. The hidden danger of sacrificing your own healing trying to "rescue" someone else.An unfiltered account of Wes’s suicide attempt and the exact millisecond his perspective flipped. The medical miracle of a bullet missing his heart by three millimeters. The critical difference between life-destroying shame and constructive guilt. Why true greatness as a man is found in absolute submissiveness to Christ. If anything in this episode resonates with you, The Matt Richardson Podcast is a place to find support, tools, and guidance.

As a teenager, she found herself navigating family upheaval, heartbreak, and choices that left her feeling lost… until honest questions about faith led her back to God.In this episode, Tiarra shares a story of searching, healing, and rediscovering purpose. After her parents’ divorce changed the stability of her childhood, she spent her teenage years trying to find belonging and love in places that ultimately left her feeling more alone. At 16, a difficult situation connected to a high school relationship led to a short stay in juvenile detention, adding to the emotional weight she was already carrying. Do you workout to honor God or to worship yourself?
This is an honest conversation about something that rarely gets talked about in Christian spaces.Fitness isn’t the problem. Discipline isn’t the problem. Taking care of your body isn’t the problem. But for Renee, it slowly became her identity. What started as health turned into control. What looked like discipline was rooted in insecurity.Compliments didn’t fix the emptiness. Results didn’t bring peace. In this episode, she shares what it looked like to build a life around fitness, business, and performance and then watch it all unravel. After losing her business, gaining weight, and hitting a breaking point, she had to face a deeper issue:Her body wasn’t the idol. Her identity was.We talk about: • The subtle difference between obedience and striving • How to tell when something “good” is starting to own you • Why God sometimes allows things to fall apart • What it actually means to find your identity in Christ • How to live disciplined without being driven by insecurityThis isn’t about shaming fitness. It’s about examining your heart. If your mood rises and falls with the mirror…If your worth feels tied to performance…If you love God but still feel controlled by how you look…This episode might hit close to home."This episode is brought to you by Gina Alverson and the Stay Mentally Strong Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting men’s mental health and suicide awareness. If you or someone you love is struggling, help is available:https://www.staymentallystrong.com/

The Provo Tabernacle Is a Metaphor for YOUR Life!
The story of the Provo Tabernacle is not just history. It is a metaphor for our lives. In this episode of the Redeeming Love Podcast, we tell the true story of the Provo Tabernacle fire in Provo, Utah, and how a building that was burned from the inside out was later rebuilt into the Provo City Center Temple. What looked like destruction became preparation. What looked like loss became transformation. This story becomes a mirror for what God does in us.Sometimes the only way God can give us a new identity is to first strip away the old one. Sometimes the only way He can rebuild our purpose is to let our plans fall apart. The refiner’s fire is not punishment. It is preparation. This episode connects the story of the Provo Tabernacle to:The refiner’s fire in the Bible and in our personal livesWhy God allows seasons of burning, loss, and rebuildingHow “our plans are not God’s plans” is often an act of loveWhy identity sometimes has to be destroyed before it can be rebuilt in ChristHow Jesus Christ walks with us through depression, addiction, shame, and heartbreakWhy the hardest seasons of life often become the most sacred- If you feel like your life has been burned down.- If your plans have fallen apart.- If your identity feels stripped away.- If you are in a season of loss, rebuilding, or waiting. This message is for you.Just like the Provo Tabernacle, you are not ruined. You are being prepared. The Savior does not abandon us in the fire. He meets us in it. He walks with us through it. And He uses it to rebuild us into something holier, stronger, and more aligned with who we were always meant to become.Sponsor: Thank you to Gina Oliverson and the Stay Mentally Strong Foundation, a nonprofit focused on men’s mental health and suicide awareness. Miracle 12: How God Prepared Her Heart Before Her Father Passed
In this episode of Redeeming Love, a young girl shares two sacred experiences that surrounded the loss of her father and forever changed the way she understands grief, faith, and connection. One week before her father passed, she felt prompted to begin journaling. Each night, she wrote what she loved about herself and what she was grateful for. When the hardest day came, that simple act became a quiet preparation for the grief she had not yet known was coming. After her father’s passing, something unexpected happened. During a Primary song at church, she heard his voice again. Not with fear, but with peace. He came back to reassure her that he was okay, that she was still his, and that she did not need to worry. This episode of Redeeming Love is about how God prepares hearts before loss, how heaven can feel very close in moments of sorrow, and how love does not end when life does. It is a gentle reminder that even in grief, we are never left alone.

Becoming the Man God Wants You to Be with Adam Allred
In this episode, Adam Allred shares the kind of story most men never let themselves speak out loud.He opens up about a marriage that slowly broke apart behind closed doors. Years of trying to make it work. Years of grinding, praying, pushing, and hoping that effort alone would heal what was falling apart. Then one moment changed everything. A reversal. A shock. A decision he never expected to face again. What followed was an identity collapse that hit him spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and as a father. Sleepless nights. Living in his grandma’s attic. Sharing custody. Praying in gym showers. Begging God to give him peace. Every morning he woke up wishing he wouldn’t. Every night he went to bed wondering how much longer he could hold on.And in the middle of that darkness, something happened.God spoke to him.Not with a command. Not with judgment. But with a question that changed his entire life:“Son, what do YOU want to do?”That moment shifted everything.Adam stopped fighting the pain and started learning from it.He stopped asking God to take it away and started asking what it was meant to build in him.He learned that pain is part of the process. Growth is uncomfortable. And becoming the man God wants you to be requires walking straight into the fire, not running from it.This episode is a raw look at what real spiritual rebuilding looks like when a man loses everything he thought he was supposed to be.Topics covered:What happens when a man’s identity collapsesDivine communication in rock bottom momentsWhy pain is often the path to purposeThe difference between a good man and a bad manMasculinity as strength, responsibility, and directionWhy God cares more about your desires than your perfectionHow to rebuild your life when you feel broken beyond repairBecoming a man who can lead, provide, and protect with power and compassionShare this with a man who needs this reminder:Your pain is not punishment.God is not disappointed in you.You are being shaped into someone stronger, steadier, and more capable than you ever imagined.

Finding God After Sexual Abuse and Hitting Rock Bottom - Jenn Saunders' Story
In this profoundly raw and inspiring episode, Jen Saunders opens up about a lifetime of trauma and a descent into darkness that nearly cost her everything.Jen shares the story of a childhood fractured by sexual abuse that lasted for eight long years at the hands of a trusted figure who was active in the church. A broken home. A loss of innocence. A young girl's fervent prayers went unanswered, triggering a profound mental spiral and a conviction at age eight that "God didn't exist."What began as simple heartbreak and self-blame quickly turned into a means of escape. Convinced she was "dirty" and a "victim," she started down a dark path of self-harm and turning to substances to numb the pain. The darkness took over faster than anyone could truly recognize, shattering her footing in reality.Jen watched the girl she was supposed to be lose her way, hiding her pain and convinced she had to manage her suffering alone. This isolation led her to a violent, unforgettable rock bottom in her late teens, where she felt utterly broken and hopeless. And yet, in that moment of despair, a path to recovery opened. Jen was left standing in heartbreak while embracing a new mission: to make sure no person ever feels they have to give up on their life. Her story is a powerful look at the danger of believing you are permanently broken, and the truth that "doing the work" and finding a Higher Power is what ultimately saves lives.Topics Covered:- The devastating impact of childhood sexual abuse- How trauma can lead to a loss of faith and spiritual crisis- The link between self-blame, self-harm, and substance abuse- Hitting rock bottom and the critical moment of choosing to live- Finding God and forgiveness after being abused by a religious figure- The importance of putting in the work for true recovery- How to turn profound pain into a purpose by helping others healShare this with someone who needs this reminder:You are not defined by what happened to you. Asking for help and "doing the work" is your path to freedom. Hope and a very blessed life are still possible.

Satan’s Playbook: The Subtle Ways He Wins
In this episode, the host of Overcoming Trauma opens up about a deeply personal struggle: how Satan’s quiet influence pulled him away from God during one of the hardest trials of his life.Drawing from the Book of Mormon, he shares three tactics the adversary uses to sway us from the truth—convincing us there is no God, stirring our hearts to anger against Him, or lulling us into carnal security. For him, it wasn’t disbelief or anger. It was the slow drift of complacency, choosing the appetites of the flesh over the harder but sweeter work of turning to God.Through scripture, prayer, and the grace of Jesus Christ, he learned that even when we stumble into Satan’s traps, the Savior is still there, ready to heal. Christ is the master healer, who not only atoned for our sins but also took upon Himself our traumas, afflictions, and heartbreaks. The message is simple but urgent: Satan whispers lies in our pain, but Christ offers healing, revelation, and peace if we humble ourselves and turn back to Him.This episode isn’t just about resisting temptation.
