RePPiN4U: Be Water My Friend!
WeRocx R920 sponsored by Got Da Juice presentsRePPiN4U: Be Water My Friend!Special Guest - CASHUS KING!New album - Water To Wine produced entirely by Big O of Vintage Soundz, Another new album coming entitled - The Greatest Album Never Heard, His close connection with Blu & More!Plus Big Tune from Kanye West, Coco Jones, K Davis The Hitman, The Lox and more!Carrying the torch for griots across every region throughout multiple decades of Hip-Hop, Cashus King’s influences amount to a melting pot that’s both an acquired taste and a sound familiar to the chosen few who can fully grasp his left of center approach. Secluded from the public eye unless he’s speaking through music, he injects self-determination within his art and turns his thoughts inward towards growing into his best self as a man and as an artist.A product of sunny LA’s hard times, Cashus King’s developmental stages presented a number of diverse perspectives. A privileged Catholic school background would go on to find him well acclimated with gang culture in the city’s historic Leimert Park after his father’s tragic passing. Explaining this casual affiliation in a section of town associated with the progressive bohemian Project Blowed movement, Cashus says “Leimert has a really rich black culture as far as art and music go, but it’s in between two Crip gangs. The Rollin 40s are going south and the Rollin 30s are going north. I was allowed to be myself and never pressured to join a gang, but that element gave me somewhere to go and a sense of belonging.”CashusKing.bandcamp.comhttps://soundcloud.com/cashuskinghttps://twitter.com/cossushttps://instagram.com/cashusking/https://www.facebook.com/cashuskingCashusking.tumblr.comSend music submissions to: [email protected] – NO TRAP – NO MUMBLE RAPFacebook: @RePPiN4UInstagram: @infamousgrantbodyp @fionapatrick79 @shadfather1Twitter: @MZATheInfamous

The 15-track project is a powerful, high-energy, and layered self-produced project that showcases several facets of the multi-hyphenate artistic personality. “The album title explains how I always felt as a person,” he explains. “I didn’t necessarily align with mainstream life. I’ve always felt different. Putting the Kids part of the title as plural, it’s a double thing. It speaks to the people who used to get into my music. I would refer to them as "The Different Kids.”Throughout The Different Kids, Kwamé blends witty braggadocio and captivating storytelling with precise, dexterous flows. He also weaves social commentary into his rewind-worthy rhymes. The intro to “The Kwame Show,” for instance, sounds as if it could be the theme song from a classic television sitcom. The song then flips into a kinetic beat with Kwamé rapping with a controlled poise about everything from his ageless appearance to the evolution of Black family structure. On “Hello Anybody,” Kwamé wonders if he’s the only one who sees the shortcomings of modern society while also addressing his own contradictions.“Adulthood” takes a realistic look at marriage, about how men and women can drift apart over the years. “I wanted to address things that are important to me, but not make it preachy,” Kwamé says. “That’s the vibe of the whole album. I feel like I drop gems interwoven with the lyrics in different ways.”Elsewhere, “Ms Mary Mack” showcases Kwamé flowing effortlessly over a spare, bouncy drum-driven beat, while he has guest vocalist Lady Tigra from L’Trimm speak to his community in a tongue-in-cheek manner on “Ole Skool Rapper.” Then, on “KWAME 2 KWAME” he imagines having a conversation with a younger version of himself. It all adds up to "The Different Kids", an artistic tour de force from one of hip-hop’s best rapper-producers.“I decided I was only going to rap over beats I wanted to rap over,” Kwamé says. “I’m not going to allow what’s ‘in style’ or ‘out of style,’ dictate what I do. I try to be as absolutely creative as I can possibly be without anybody telling me, ‘No. You can’t do that,’ but myself. That thought process is the soul of the album.Send music submissions to: [email protected] – NO TRAP – NO MUMBLE RAPFacebook: @RePPiN4UInstagram: @infamousgrantbodyp @fionapatrick79 @shadfather1Twitter: @MZATheInfamous

Later on he moved to South Munn Avenue between Central and Chestnut in East Orange, New Jersey where he perfected his penmanship! Inspired by Nas' "Halftime" off the "Zebrahead" Movie Soundtrack as well as "Live at the BBQ".When Breeze was 7yrs old, His sister Simone bought him Nas' Hit Single "It Ain't Hard 2 Tell" & on the B' Side It had the Instrumental to that Single He Began To Write and the rest is history!! Breeze has a few appearances on underground mixtapes and his 1st appearance on a Hip Hop album is on East Long Beach California's own Quictamac. Breeze featured on Quictamacs hit single & video "My Issue" from his sophomore album #IronFistVelvetGlove . Actor, Comedian, Writer, & Host of #ghettostarzpodcastGail CampbellGail Campbell, a Jersey girl who finds her joy in music. Born into a musical family, she’s always been musically inclined. Even though she could always sing, Rapping was what the cool kids were doing back in the 80’s, so Gail was part of a crew that spit bars instead of singing the Blues. After some small success as an M.C., Gail decided to take some time off from the music industry to focus on raising her children. As the years went by, she just figured that she had missed her chance. After all, we live in a culture that has a creepy obsession with youth, and a habit of telling women of a certain age that their ship has sailed. But thank God for our sister friends who consistently speak life to our hopes and dreams when the world would have us believe it’s too late. Gail’s good friend kept encouraging her to give it another go. And when she did, she realized that there’s a whole community of people who love her music and they don’t care what year she was born because good music is timeless.Send music submissions to – [email protected] – No Trap – No Mumble RapFacebook: @RePPiN4UInstagram: @infamousgrantbodyp @fionapatrick79 @shadfather1Twitter: @MZATheInfamous

RePPiN4U Rewind: Philadelphia Freeway!
Panel: GRANT BODY-P! @jjmusiclover75 @the.real.bigo and @djshadfather85!If you love the @phillyfreeway classic like we do, THIS SHOW IS FOR YOU!We speak on the TRUE 2003 Classic, our favourite tracks and stories surrounding this album! In February 2003, 50 Cent took the Hip Hop world by storm with his album 'Get Rich Or Die Tryin'. With this Dr.Dre endorsed album, he was tipped to be the next megastar after Eminem, and while that was the case to some degree, there was a minority who did not fully see the hype behind 50 Cent. Grant Body-P! was one of them because back in 1999, 50 Cent actually made his debut on the Madd Rapper album with a track entitled 'How To Rob' which was a play on what he would do robbing the greatest Hip Hop acts at the time, Grant was not impressed, especially when 50 talked about the Wu-Tang negatively in that track...While everybody was on the 50 Cent hype train, Something quietly in comparison was happening at Roc-A-Fella records. Freeway was next to drop his album 'Philadelphia Freeway' and it was not met with the same hype machine that 50 Cent had, when the album dropped a few weeks after 50, it would slowly emerge as the untold classic, and over time and longevity, this album as aged very well While 50 is nowadays known as a high profile internet troll and genius behind the Power TV Show, Freeway remains the ever respected MC. Knights Of The Qube Table - 2024 in Review
Knights Of The Qube TableIt was a year where Katt Williams prophesied certain figures will be exposed, the OGs remerged and showed the young cats how it's done, a power couple we were proud of turned sour, Hip Hop was embraced in the Olympics (or was it???) Kamala & Donald used Hip Hop in their campaigns, and the West Coast showed historical unity at the expense of Hip Hop's greatest modern villain...WE TALK ABOUT IT ALL AT THE QUBE TABLE IN CANARY WHARF! The greatest year in Hip Hop since 199X!And 2025 is promising to continue the epicness!(Filmed at The Qube, Canary Wharf, December 14, 2024. some of the content discussed might be dated.)Your Panel - Grant Body-P, Harris Da Legacy and Big O of VintageSoundzI.G. @harris_da_legacy, @the.real.bigoSend submissions – [email protected] – NO TRAP – NO MUMBLE RAPFacebook: @RePPiN4UInstagram: @infamousgrantbodyp @fionapatrick79 @shadfather1Twitter: @MZATheInfamous

RePPiN4U: IT WAS WRITTEN!Double feature Interview!First, J Written returns to the show! New album Kaleidoscope, his UK Tour, his role in the new Bob Marley movie and more!Biography:Born January 18, 1994, Jason ‘Written’ Rasheed Wright was destined for musical prowess from a young age.Growing up with his mother, father, and two sisters, life for Written was blighted by financial instability and constant moving around various areas of Kingston, Jamaica. “I was unable to socialize with my peers because of my parent’s fear of negative influence,” says Written.“I was forced to stay inside the house with my sisters. This is how I found out writing and reading was an easy way to escape. I would write daily journals and personal articles on the walls of my homes.”Writing poems, speeches and essays helped sharpen the tools he uses today. Written joined the debate team at his high school Bridgeport High, which gave Written the confidence he needed to stand in front of a crowd, trying to move the crowd with words, sounds and power.Written later discovered a talent for dance, even forming a squad at the age of 16. The troupe known as the ACEZ Dancers took Kingston by a storm...RePPiN4U Playlist:1. DJ MISS C BROWN - RePPiN4U Intro2. WE DON'T DO THAT HERE (Interlude)3. J WRITTEN - Black Panther (Grant Body-P! RePPiN4U: Home Of The Brave!
RePPiN4U: Home Of The Brave!Special Guest Son Brave: @thesonbraveSon Brave, a Baltimore native, is a captivating artist driven by aninsatiable passion to explore the ethics, liberty, and identity ofhumanity through his thought-provoking and soul-stirring music.Formerly known as "The Black Sunn" and "Sun Zulu," Son Brave nowstands as an embodiment of that legacy - and that’s one of richrhymes from the Baltimore, Maryland MC. Fueling his artisticodyssey are the imprints left by his brother, a DJ, and his familywho immersed him in a diverse tapestry of melodies spanning from‘60s soul and '70s funk/disco classics to the golden era of '90sR&B/Hip Hop. These sonic foundations became fertile soil fromwhich Son Brave’s artistic identity would sprout and flourish. His mother always taught him to speak up for himself and what wasright, but it took him a while to understand this fully. What he didknow, however, was the sanctuary of expression found in music. That sanctuary became Son’s refuge. The rap cyphers, messageboard discussions and underground hip-hop blog circuit of the mid-2000s to early 2010s became fertile grounds for his growth andconnection to people who were just like him.Eventually, collaborations with blogs such as 2dopeboyz andillRoots led him to secure touring and live performanceopportunities around the country. He visited places such as NewYork, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, D.C. and Chicago in the early 2010sperforming, shooting videos, recording and releasing music. Whilein Chicago, Son visited the Harold Washington Library and learnedabout YOUmedia. This program provides musical resources, (suchas a recording space and instruments), to young students withgood grades for free.Returning to Baltimore, he began to work with nonprofitorganizations such as the AFSC, By Peaceful Means, and HigherAchievement. His work taught him how to empower city youththrough artistic expression. These experiences galvanized his ownartistic craft and allowed him to provide the same sanctuary thathe found in music to youth just like him. His unwaveringcommitment to this cause also gave birth to a Bachelor's of Sciencedegree in Multiplatform Production from Morgan State University, solidifying his prowess as a multimedia virtuoso.Son Brave is an artist who weaves an intricate tapestry of soundsand stories across mediums encompassing audio, video and more.RePPin4U Playlist:1.
