Before It's Too Late | Luke 12:35-59
In this message, we see Jesus confront us with a sobering reality: many people delay responding to Him until it's too late. Through five searching questions, Jesus calls us to examine our readiness for His return, our faithfulness while we wait, our willingness to follow Him when it costs us something, our response to the truth He has made clear, and whether we have truly made peace with God. This message challenges both believers and unbelievers to stop putting off obedience, stop ignoring conviction, and respond to Christ while there is still time.Study: Uncomfortable Truths — Luke 11-14Scripture: Luke 12:35-59Speaker: Pastor Micah Bosworth_______Ridge Point exists to elevate Jesus, equip believers, and evangelize the lost. Forgiveness: When Love Surrounds Repentance
In this message, we explored why forgiveness is one of the hardest commands in the Christian life and why the gospel is both our motive and our model for extending it to others. Looking at the parable of the unforgiving servant, the forgiveness of Christ, and the relationship between repentance and restoration, we were reminded that believers have been forgiven an immeasurable debt through Jesus Christ. Because of that, we are called to release bitterness, trust God with justice, and stand ready to restore relationships when repentance occurs. Ultimately, forgiveness is not rooted in what others deserve, but in the grace we ourselves have received through the gospel.Scripture: Matthew 18; Luke 23:34; Acts 2:36-38Speaker: Pastor Daniel Richmond_______Ridge Point exists to elevate Jesus, equip believers, and evangelize the lost. You Might Have Trust Issues | Luke 12:1-34
In this message, we see Jesus address three issues that affect every one of us: fear, greed, and worry. While they may seem unrelated, Jesus reveals that they all point to the same deeper issue—trust. Through His warnings about hypocrisy, the parable of the rich fool, and His teaching on anxiety, Jesus confronts the things we often rely on instead of God. This message explores three diagnostic questions: Who do you fear most? What do you value most? Who do you depend on most? As we answer those questions honestly, we discover that what we treasure reveals what we trust, and Jesus invites us to place our confidence fully in our faithful Father.Study: Uncomfortable Truths — Luke 11-14Scripture: Luke 12:1-34Speaker: Pastor Micah Bosworth_______Ridge Point exists to elevate Jesus, equip believers, and evangelize the lost. Am I A Pharisee? | Luke 11:33-54
In this message, we see Jesus confrontsthe Pharisees and expose the danger of external religion without genuine heart transformation. This message walks through seven Pharisaical tendencies that still show up in our lives today: caring more about appearances than holiness, valuing performance over love, seeking recognition over humility, concealing sin, controlling people, protecting tradition, and keeping people from God instead of leading them to Him. As we examine Jesus’ warnings to the religious leaders, this sermon challenges us to honestly ask the question: “Am I a Pharisee?” and points us to the only One who can truly cleanse and transform the heart—Jesus Christ.Study: Uncomfortable Truths — Luke 11-14Scripture: Luke 11:33-54Speaker: Pastor Micah Bosworth_______Ridge Point exists to elevate Jesus, equip believers, and evangelize the lost. Burden of Proof | Luke 11:14-32
In this message, we see that unbelief is often not about a lack of evidence, but about hardened hearts. After Jesus casts out a demon, the crowd responds in several different ways. Some accuse Him of working by Satan’s power, some admire Him without obeying Him, and others demand even more proof before they will believe. Through Jesus’ responses, we are reminded that He is greater than Jonah, greater than Solomon, and the true source of power and transformation. This sermon challenges us to examine whether we are missing the power of God in our own lives by misidentifying His work, marveling without obedience, or delaying obedience until we have “more information,” and calls us instead to trust, obey, and fully submit to Christ. Why We Struggle to Pray | Luke 11:1-13
In this message, we are confronted with an uncomfortable truth: we are more spiritually needy than we think. In this message, we walk through why we struggle to pray, how Jesus teaches us to depend upon the Father, and why persistent prayer is ultimately about deeper communion with God Himself. Through awareness, alignment, persistence, and trust, we are reminded that the greatest gift the Father gives His children is not merely changed circumstances, but His own presence.Study: Uncomfortable Truths — Luke 11-14Scripture: Luke 11:1-13Speaker: Pastor Micah Bosworth_______Ridge Point exists to elevate Jesus, equip believers, and evangelize the lost. The Danger of Almost | Luke 10:25-42
In this message, we explore “The Danger of Almost.” It’s possible to be close to truth, close to people, and even close to Jesus—yet still miss what matters most. Through the account of the lawyer, the Good Samaritan, and Mary and Martha, Jesus exposes three common dangers in the Christian life: knowing the right answers without living them out, choosing convenience over compassion, and serving Jesus without truly being with Him.This sermon challenges us to move beyond surface-level faith and into a life that is shaped by truth, marked by love, and rooted in a real relationship with Christ. Because when it comes to following Jesus… almost isn’t enough.Study: Beholding Our Savior — Luke 8-10Scripture: Luke 10:25-42Speaker: Pastor Micah Bosworth_______Ridge Point exists to elevate Jesus, equip believers, and evangelize the lost. While I'm Gone | John 13:31-35
In this message, we see what Jesus did and said the night before His crucifixion. He served and loved His disciples. And He called them to love one another as He loved them. He is still calling His followers to love one another! What You Do With What You See | Luke 10:1-24
In this message, we see Jesus send out seventy to prepare the way for Him in various towns, and some people reject the message. So Jesus gives a warning to those who have rejected Him, despite seeing many of His works. And then He turns to His disciples and reminds them that what they have seen and heard is something many have longed for. Through all of it, we learn that greater revelation produces greater accountability. We must respond and do something with what we have seen, heard and have been given. Distracted Discipleship | Luke 9:37-62
In this message, we look at a few times where the disciples completely miss what Jesus is doing and saying, because they are distracted with their own greatness, their own security, and their own sense of justice. Beholding Our Savior | Luke 9:18-36
In this message, we listen in on conversations that Jesus is having with His disciples. They are beginning to understand who He is more clearly. However, they are still misunderstanding His purpose and mission. So Jesus takes time to explain to them that He will have to suffer, die, and rise again on the third day. The situations in this passage cause us to evaluate whether we are seeing Jesus clearly by asking ourselves four questions about His identity. What Pain Can Teach Us | Lamentations 4
In this message, we see the poet of Lamentations looking back on what was and contrasting that with what has become of Jerusalem because of the siege. And we learn something about hindsight. When we look back, even the pain, grief, and discipline can teach us something, if we allow it to. Finding Hope in Hardship | Lamentations 3
In this message, we see the first glimpse of hope, the only explicitly one in fact, in the book of Lamentations. In the middle of hardship, hurt, and processing of what has happened, we see the poet still lamenting to God. Through the words of the poet, three imperatives that Paul gives the New Testament believer are illustrated here: to be patient in tribulation, rejoicing in hope, and continuing steadfastly in prayer. When God Feels Like the Enemy | Lamentations 2
In this message, we see the tone shift to anger in this poem. The poet seems to be angry, but his focus throughout is on the anger and justice of the Lord. Ultimately, it is understood that this judgment is because of their rebellious sin. But it still feels like God is their enemy in the aftermath of all this. The only remedy to this is repentance! They need to turn to God and seek after Him. In this message, we see Paul dive deeper into what he means by us being complete in Christ. He is telling us some things that are true that show Jesus is enough. He agonizes because he knows that the enemy, fake pastors, and false teachers will come and try to take them captive by worldly philosophies and man made traditions. In this message, we follow Paul’s train of thought as he points out that each believer has Jesus living within them. Because of this truth, we need to understand some realities of our lives. Who Jesus Is and Who He Is To Be | Colossians 1:15-20
In this message, we see Paul declare some of the most beautiful and robust truths we find in Scripture about Jesus. His argument is essentially this: Jesus is who He says He is. And because of who Jesus is, there is something He is to be in each of our lives—preeminent. We should each evaluate whether Jesus really holds first place, uncontested, in our lives! Why Colossians Matters | Colossians 1:1-2
In this message, we get introduced to the book of Colossians, looking at the background and context for this letter. It was written to a people who were being confused by conflicting philosophies and distracted by lesser things. And Paul gives them a clear antidote to these problems—the preeminence of Jesus in every part of their lives! You Are the Evidence! | Esther 9-10
In this message, we see how the story of Esther concludes! The day comes when it is allowable by law for people to come after the Jews, kill them all, and take their stuff—the day where the Jews are allowed to defend themselves by killing and plundering the possessions of all who would attack them. And there is a great day of victory for the Jewish people in the Persian Empire! But it doesn’t stop there.
