How God Made A Way: A Journey Towards The Cross - Part 4: Almost Home

In the beginning, humanity walked with God in a garden. Then the gate closed. From Genesis to Revelation, the story of Scripture is the story of a God who refuses to stay distant. Through tabernacle, temple, sacrifice, blood, glory, and promise — God was making a way to dwell with His people again. In this Lent 2026 series, How God Made a Way, we trace the thread from exile to access, from shadows to substance, from separation to presence. Every altar, every lampstand, every veil points forward to Jesus. Each week we’ll see how what once stood between us and God is fulfilled in Christ — and how the risen Son now makes us His dwelling place. This isn’t a series about temple facts. It’s about the God who moved heaven and earth to bring us home.“In the past, God spoke through many things… but these days — through His Son.”Join us as we rediscover the story of atonement, glory, and grace. For more information or to get connected, visit us at  www.rcnb.org

Rather than offering quick fixes, Formed invites us into the slow, faithful work of building our lives on a durable foundation. This series calls us to repentance—not as shame, but as building differently—and reminds us that wisdom is one of the primary ways God saves human lives from collapse. If you’re asking What am I becoming? or How do I rebuild wisely? this series is an invitation to keep walking the way of wisdom. For more information or to get connected, visit us at  www.rcnb.org

A Compassion That Still Looks Like Jesus

Compassion is costly—but is withdrawing from it ever Christlike? In this standalone message, A Compassion That Still Looks Like Jesus, we name a growing tension in the church: some are exhausted from caring deeply, while others have learned to protect themselves by shutting down and calling it wisdom. Both are responding to the same pressure—the weight of a broken world—but not every response reflects the heart of Christ.Rooted in the confession “Badly broken. Deeply loved.”, this sermon explores how God defines Himself as compassionate, how Jesus consistently moves toward the wounded, and why empathy is not the problem—trying to be the Savior is. Through Scripture and story, we’re reminded that compassion restores belonging before it restores behavior, and that hardness often grows where grace has been forgotten. This message is not a call to carry more, but a call not to lose heart. For anyone feeling tired, guarded, or unsure how to keep loving faithfully, this sermon invites us back to a compassion that still looks like Jesus—and still heals the world.

Prepare Him Room: Part 4- Preparing Room For Love

In a world obsessed with being full, full schedules, full homes, full inboxes we often find ourselves running dry. We chase satisfaction through busyness, achievement, noise, and distraction, only to discover that none of it truly quenches the deeper thirst of our souls.Prepare Him Room is an Advent journey that invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, and make spiritual space in a culture overflowing with everything but what we need most. Each episode explores how hope, peace, joy, and love take root not in hurried lives, but in hearts intentionally opened to God’s presence. This season, we’ll rediscover that these gifts aren’t emotions we strive to produce—they are fruit that grows naturally when we clear away the clutter and welcome Christ into our midst. In Jesus, heaven and earth meet, revealing that the life God desires for us is not distant or impossible. It’s here, now, unfolding in ordinary moments made sacred.Join us as we learn to cultivate spacious lives, quiet hearts, and expectant hope. This Advent, let’s prepare Him room together. For more information or to get connected, visit us at  www.rcnb.org

Apocalypse Now is a deep and eye-opening journey through the book of Ephesians, where the Apostle Paul—writing from prison—pulls back the curtain on God’s grand design for His people.Set against the backdrop of ancient Ephesus, a city of power, culture, and spiritual darkness, this series explores how Paul’s letter reveals Jesus as Lord over every empire, idol, and authority. Known as the “Queen of the Epistles,” Ephesians lifts our eyes to the breathtaking view of Christ and His Church—our identity, our unity, our calling, and our hope. Each episode uncovers the “apocalypse”—the great unveiling of Jesus’ life, death, resurrection, and the Spirit’s gifts—and asks how this revelation reshapes the way we live right now. From household relationships to spiritual warfare, from ancient temples to modern challenges, Apocalypse Now helps us see with fresh eyes what it means to belong to God’s family and live as people of another Kingdom. If you’re ready for a faith that feels alive, courageous, and countercultural—this is your invitation. We don’t just need an apocalypse someday. We need one now.

We remember Jesus in Gethsemane, asking for another way, yet surrendering fully to the Father’s will. And we reflect on the Dark Night of the Soul—those seasons when God feels distant, but is still present and working in unseen ways. This week, respond by praying honestly about your struggles, but end with the words: "Not my will, but Yours be done."Subscribe now to explore how answering The Ache with surrender leads to grace, growth, and a deeper encounter with God.Are you willing to trust Him, even when the answer is silence?

The Ache: Part 3 - An Ache In The Night

"You feel it. A longing. A restlessness. A hunger for something more. What if that ache isn’t random? What if it’s an invitation?"Welcome to The Ache, a sermon series dedicated to exploring the deep longings of the heart and discovering how prayer is the key to fulfillment. In Week 3: An Ache In The Night, we confront the truth that prayer is not always serene or simple—it can be a place of wrestling and struggle. We journey through the story of Jacob wrestling with God in Genesis 32, a moment that redefines prayer as more than just quiet surrender. Sometimes, it’s a fight—a raw, unfiltered struggle where questions linger, and answers are hard-won. Yet, it’s in this wrestling that we are transformed. God doesn’t shy away from our fight; He meets us in it, shaping us through the struggle. This week, respond by bringing one thing you don’t understand before God and sit with it in prayer, even if the answer isn’t clear. Allow the wrestling to deepen your faith and refine your heart.Subscribe now to discover how answering The Ache through honest struggle can lead to lasting transformation. Are you ready to wrestle with God and walk away changed? For more information or to get connected, visit us at  www.rcnb.org

The Ache: Part 2 - A Liminal Ache

"You feel it. A longing. A restlessness. A hunger for something more. What if that ache isn’t random? What if it’s an invitation?"Welcome to The Ache, a sermon series dedicated to exploring the deep longings of the heart and discovering how prayer is the key to fulfillment. In Week 2: A Liminal Ache, we explore the difference between prayer as performance and prayer as presence.Jesus confronted fake prayer—the kind designed for attention or spoken with mindless repetition. The Greek word for "hypocrite" (hupokritēs) literally means "actor" or "stage player." But true prayer isn’t a performance; it’s found in the secret place where it's just you and God. Jesus didn’t leave us guessing; He gave us a powerful model: the Lord’s Prayer—a simple, profound template for true connection. This week, respond by praying the Lord’s Prayer slowly and intentionally each morning, allowing each word to echo in your heart.Subscribe now to learn how to move from performance to presence in your prayer life and discover how answering The Ache can transform your soul. Are you ready to step off the stage and into the secret place? For more information or to get connected, visit us at  www.rcnb.org

The Ache: Part 1 - Understanding The Ache

"You feel it. A longing. A restlessness. A hunger for something more. What if that ache isn’t random? What if it’s an invitation?"Welcome to The Ache, a sermon series dedicated to exploring the deep longings of the heart and discovering how prayer is the key to fulfillment. In Week 1: Understanding The Ache, we begin our journey by unpacking the foundation of prayer—not as a skill to master, but as a relationship to grow into. When the disciples saw Jesus pray, they recognized that His power flowed from His deep intimacy with the Father. It wasn't about the right words or rituals—it was about connection. Jesus’ first word in prayer was "Father" (Abba), a declaration that prayer is deeply personal, not mechanical. This isn't some mystical force; it’s the Spirit of God working personally through us, just as foretold in Jeremiah 31 and Ezekiel 36.This week, we challenge you to respond with a simple, daily prayer: "Lord, increase my capacity for prayer."Subscribe now to journey deeper in prayer and discover how answering The Ache can transform your life. Are you ready to step into the intimacy that Jesus modeled? For more information or to get connected, visit us at  www.rcnb.org
