    “The Lord delivers us out of them all.”

    …and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. - Colossians 3:10, NIVYou won’t be successful as long as you have a negative image of yourself. Like a magnet, the image you have of yourself will keep pulling you toward it. If you see yourself struggling, barely getting by, having a scarcity mentality, that’s what you’re moving toward. What would happen if you started seeing yourself as blessed, prosperous, talented, having a bountiful year? Then because you have the right image, because you’re in agreement with God, you’d be moving toward abundance, overflow, good breaks, a bountiful life. You’d put your shoulders back and carry yourself as the royalty God created you to be. God’s Word says that when we face adversities, “the Lord delivers us out of them all.” It says that when the enemy comes in like a flood, God will raise up a barrier. If you see yourself as a victor and not a victim, then even in tough times you’ll stay confident, hopeful, expecting God’s favor, knowing that He didn’t bring you this far to leave you. He hasn’t failed you in the past, and He’s not going to start now.Prayer: Father, thank You that I can start this day with a fresh new attitude because You dwell in me and have given me a new nature. Thank You that I can get in agreement with Your Word and believe what You say about me. I’m going to be my best and make the most of this day.     "Quit worrying about what they think."

    And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. - 2 Corinthians 3:18, NIVIs your face unveiled today? Are you wearing masks to cover your weaknesses, your failures, your doubts and fears? As long as your face is veiled, you won’t see God’s glory. You won’t see the freedom, the wholeness, the abundance that He has for you. Why don’t you take off the mask? Perhaps you think, “What will people think if I don’t hide my weaknesses? What if they know that I still struggle in this area and need help?” They’ll think you’re real. They’ll think you’re brave. They’ll think you’re honest. And for those who might look down on you, what they think about you doesn’t stop your destiny. Quit worrying about what they think. There’s always going to be someone who doesn’t understand you, won’t be for you, and tries to make you feel small. But there will be other people God has ordained to be there to help you, to bring you out of the struggle, to lift you when you’re down, to speak victory when you feel defeated. It is so much better to be real, to be vulnerable.Prayer: Father, thank You for the invitation to drop my masks and deal openly and honestly with the hidden issues that hold me back. Thank You for the promise that You are transforming me from glory to glory. I believe that You are working right now to lift me to another level.     "God has Promised "

    “Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” - Genesis 18:14, NIVIt had been twenty-five years since God promised Abraham “to become a great nation,” and now at ninety years old, Sarah laughed at the seeming impossibility of having a son. God said in effect to her, “You may be doubting, and you don’t see how, but I have already set the right time.” Even though the fulfillment took far longer than they thought, at the appointed time it happened just as God said.  Whatever God has promised you, He’s already set the right time. It’s already in your future, but you have to understand that God’s timing is not our timing. On the way to your promise being fulfilled, there will be opportunities to get discouraged and give up on what you’re believing for. Don’t live with an “it’s never going to happen” mentality; live with a “right time mentality.” If you knew your right time was coming in one month, you wouldn’t waste time trying to figure it out or be worried. God doesn’t tell us when, but He promises that when the time is right, He’s going to make it happen.Prayer: Father, thank You that I am not limited by my circumstances or seeming impossibilities. Thank You that what looks as though it’s too late to be fulfilled is not a problem for You. I believe that You have the right time, an appointed time, and that You will make it happen.     "Take the limits off God "

    “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will  not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” - Malachi 3:10, NIVIf you put God first in your life, the blessings He has for you cannot be contained. You may be limited, but God is unlimited. Take the limits off God and take the limits off yourself. Who says you can’t do something great? Who says you can’t start your own business? Who says you can’t get well? Who says you can’t go where no one in your family has gone? God is calling you to be a trendsetter, a difference maker, a barrier breaker. Quit looking at what you lost, at what you don’t have. The odds may be against you, but the Most High God is for you. You’re not on your own. You and God are a majority. Nothing can stop what He has purposed for your life. Now get in agreement with God. It’s amazing what happens when you enlarge your vision. You have to believe big, pray bold prayers, and dream great dreams. Give God permission to open the floodgates of Heaven and get ready. He’s about to do something that you’ve never seen.Prayer: Father, thank You that the floodgates of Heaven are open as I put You first place in my life. Thank You that You are pouring out so much blessing that I won’t have room enough to store it all.     "He’s Holding You Tightly"

    “There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.” - Deuteronomy 1:31, NIVWhen God brought the Israelite nation out of Egypt after being in slavery for ten generations, they were not prepared to survive in the wilderness. There was no food, and water was scarce, yet for forty years they never went without either. God gave them manna every morning and brought water out of a rock when they needed it. He supernaturally protected them against enemies and kept them from sickness on their way to the Promised Land. The whole time He was carrying them, sustaining them, as a father carries his children. On the way to your promised land, to where God is taking you, there will be detours, people who do you wrong, times when you don’t see how it can work out. You don’t have the provision, the dream looks impossible, the obstacle too big. You’ll be tempted to worry, to live stressed out. No, stay in peace. Just as God did for them, He’s carrying you all the way until you get to your destination. You’re in your Father’s arms. He’s holding you tightly. Nothing can snatch you away.Prayer: Father, thank You for loving me so much that at times You take me into a wilderness place to show me who You are. Thank You that no matter where I go or what I go through, You wrap Your arms around me and carry me. I believe that You are bringing me to where You want me to be.     "When God, open our eyes"

    As they sat down to eat, he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them. Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. - Luke 24:30–31, NLTTwo days after Jesus was crucified and buried, two of His discouraged, heartbroken disciples were walking the seven-mile journey from Jerusalem to Emmaus when they were joined by a man they didn’t recognize. They were so focused on their great loss that they didn’t recognize the miracle of the moment, that they were walking with the risen Jesus. They were missing the joy in the journey. They didn’t see it until God suddenly opened their eyes and they recognized they had been in His presence the whole time. We see the difficulties and struggles every day, but are we seeing the joy in the journey? Could it be that God is doing great things, that we’re actually in a great moment right now, but we don’t see the good things? My prayer is, “God, open our eyes as You did for those two disciples.” There are great things happening right now—great memories to be made, great people to enjoy, great opportunities coming. Don’t be so busy and stressed trying to get where you want to go that you miss it.Prayer: Father, thank You that no matter where I go or what I do or what I’m feeling, You are always with me. Open my eyes to see You today and to recognize the great things You have gifted to me. I want to walk with Jesus today and find joy in my journey.     "When you make God bigger"

    Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember?” - Mark 8:18, NIVWhat you focus on in life is so important. What are you dwelling on right now? Is it the size of an obstacle or the size of your God? If you go around all day thinking about your problems, worried, anxious, and playing all the negatives in your mind, you will draw in the negative. Maybe you’ve considered the medical report or the bank statement, and the odds against them, over and over. Now it’s time to make a switch and start considering God.Instead of overanalyzing a bad situation, start thanking God for the answers that are on the way. Spend your time meditating on the Scripture. Instead of reading the bad medical report for the twelve hundredth time, go walk in the park and with every step say, “Lord, thank You that You’re still on the throne.” Here’s the key: When you make God bigger, your problems become smaller. When you magnify God instead of magnifying your difficulties, faith rises in your heart. Pay attention to what you focus on, to what’s playing in your mind all day. Consider your God.Prayer: Father, thank You that You didn’t create me to live weighed down by the worry, hurts, guilt, and frustrations. Thank You that I can lift my eyes to You and listen to Your Word. Help me to magnify You and to dwell on what You have to say about me.     "Create in Me a Clean Heart."

    When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. - Psalm 32:3, NLTIn today’s Scripture, David is talking about what happened to his health during the year that followed his adulterous affair with Bathsheba and the killing of her husband to cover it up. He lied to himself about what he’d done, buried the guilt and shame, and pretended that nothing was wrong. But the problem with burying negative toxins is they make your soul unhealthy and eventually come back up and poison your physical health as well. In Psalm 51, David finally got honest and said, “God, forgive and cleanse me from my sin. Create in me a clean heart.” The beauty of our God is that He’s merciful. He forgave David, restored his soul, and gave him his health back.Don’t let guilt and condemnation from something that you’ve done wrong in the past keep your soul unhealthy, hold you back, or weaken you physically. Get honest with yourself and get the toxins out. Go to God as David did and ask Him to forgive you, to cleanse your heart, to restore your soul and your health. Receive His mercy.Prayer: Father, thank You that I can receive Your forgiveness and have a clean heart today. Thank You that I can be honest about any sin and any mistake and get the toxins of guilt and bitterness out of my soul. Help me to walk in the joy of my salvation and in the fullness of health.     " Joy Comes in the Morning.”

    How can we sing the songs of the LORD while in a foreign land?-  Psalm 137:4, NIVWhen the Israelites were conquered and taken into captivity by the Babylonians, it was a season of suffering and great loss. It was one of those times when the pressure is so great, the loss so heavy, the disappointment so discouraging, we don’t think we can go on. They could not sing the songs of Zion. They were in a season of weeping, which we all go through. God made us to feel things. Something breaks your heart, and it feels too much to carry. Weeping is not a lack of faith. It doesn’t mean you’re not tough enough. It means that your heart is working, that you care deeply. When you go through a season of weeping, remember that God says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” As He did for the Israelites, eventually freeing them to return to their homes, He’s already set the time to end your heartache, to turn around what’s causing your tears. God is going to bring you out better through the suffering, and your mourning will turn into dancing.Prayer: Father, thank You that You have the power to change what looks as though it will never change. Thank You that the morning comes, and You turn mourning into dancing and sorrow into joy. I believe that You will always restore me to sing the songs of Zion.     "Change The Channel"

    Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given. - 1 Chronicles 16:12, NLTEmotional wounds are a powerful force in our lives and hold the potential to hinder our growth. If you’re always reliving your hurts and watching your bad breaks on the movie screen of your mind—talking about them and telling your friends—that’s just reopening the wound. You may be in pain today, but don’t sit around nursing your wounds. Don’t let bitterness and discouragement set the tone for your life. As long as you’re replaying the negative, you will never fully heal.You have to change the channel. When you look back over your life, can you remember one time where you know it was the hand of God promoting and protecting you? Make the decision to switch over to that channel. Get your mind going in a new direction. Start remembering your victories, your successes, and the hard times you overcame. Today can be a turning point in your life. Drop any emotional baggage you’re dragging and step toward an abundant life. Trust God and step into the great future He has for you.Prayer: Father, thank You that You have the power to heal the emotional wounds in my life. Thank You that I can stop reliving the negative things that play and replay in my mind. I declare that I am dropping the baggage and stepping forward into the abundant life You have for me.     "When Faith Refuses to Compromise"

    Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!” - Acts 5:29, NIVThere will be times when you have to decide, as the apostles did: “Am I going to stick with my convictions, am I going to be who God made me to be, or am I going to let the opinions and approval of other people determine what I do or who I become?” If you suffer from approval addiction, if you’re not confident in who you are and you need people to validate you, you’ll shrink back and let them control your future. But it’s going to take boldness to receive what God has for you. He’s going to take you where no one in your family has gone. He’s going to make you a pioneer, a trendsetter. Not everyone will understand why you won’t compromise with them. Not everyone will approve you if you don’t conform to their way of thinking. People who were once for you may become critics and try to discredit you. Now they’re finding fault. That’s when you have to dig your heels in and say, “I’m not moved by who’s not for me. I’m living to please God.”Prayer: Father, thank You that You are the true and living God and You reward those who honor and obey You. Thank You for calling me to follow You and to not shrink back when others want me to let go of my convictions. I believe that as I am doing the right thing You will reward me with favor.     "We Have Greatness In Us"

    …the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling. - Ephesians 1:18, NKJVWhat would happen if you started seeing yourself for who you really are, as a child of the Most High God? The apostle Paul prayed for us that our vision, the eyes of our understanding, would be clear. We were created to reign in life, to be healthy, strong, confident, valuable, to accomplish dreams. "We have greatness in us," but sometimes we’re not seeing our gifts and potential because our vision is limited. Negative images—disappointments, bad breaks, past mistakes—are clouding our vision from seeing ourselves the way God sees us. We have to clear out whatever is hindering our vision.What image do you have of yourself, your family, your finances, your future? This is a new day. Clear out the inferiority, the bitterness, the mediocrity, what people have said. Clear out the past guilt and shame. Nothing that’s happened to you has stopped God’s purpose for your life. Start seeing yourself as worthy, as forgiven, as a child of God. As your vision clears, you’ll start moving into the new levels of favor and blessing that belong to you.Prayer: Father, thank You that I can begin to see myself the way You see me, as blessed, prosperous, healthy, strong, talented, and successful. Help me to clear out the negative images and get the fresh, new vision in. I believe that my vision will become a reality.     "When God Breathe in Your Direction"

    “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.” - Zechariah 4:6, NKJVYou weren’t created to struggle through life, to be restricted by negative thinking, by a bad temper, insecurity, or lack. Those are bondages the enemy uses to try to keep you from your destiny. The good news is that God is the chain breaker, the burden remover, the yoke destroyer. Jesus came to set you free from a spirit of worry, from always seeing the negative, from a hot temper, bitterness, holding grudges. Perhaps you’ve tried to forgive, but you couldn’t let it go. God is about to breathe in your direction. There’s going to be strength to do what you couldn’t do before. You’re going to be free from guilt, free from living in regret, free from not thinking you deserve to be blessed.You may feel you’re powerless to change it, but it’s going to happen by the Spirit of the Most High God. Ask Him to free you from every bondage and restriction. You’re about to step into a new level of freedom, peace, productivity, and fulfillment. Now, you have to do your part and get an agreement with God’s promise.Prayer: Father, thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit in my life that is so much greater than all of my might and power. Thank You that You are coming to set me free from everything that is trying to hold me back. I believe in the promise of Your Spirit to do it.     "Your life of Excellence Will be Rewarded"

    And as long as Moses held up the rod in his hands, Israel was winning; but whenever he rested his arms at his sides, the soldiers of Amalek were winning. - Exodus 17:11, TLBExodus 17 tells the story of Joshua and the people of Israel who were in the midst of a great battle. Moses was on a hill overlooking the battlefield, holding up a staff of God in the air, interceding for them. What Joshua didn’t realize in the midst of the battle was that the only reason he was winning was because Moses was holding up his hands with the help of two others.Without Moses doing his part, the Israelites would have been defeated. Your challenge is to live in such a way as to cause others to win. With every right decision you make, with every step of faith you take, you are holding up your hands. Every time you resist temptation, you are winning for your children. Every time you are kind and respectful, every time you help someone in need, every time you serve someone and give, every time you pray for someone and encourage them, you are planting seeds of blessing through your faith. Your life of excellence will be rewarded and will help them live a life of victory.“Father, thank You that You bring people across my path so I can be a blessing to them and help them win. Thank You that I can speak a kind word, lift them up when they’re hurting, and encourage them to follow You. Help me to be aware of other people’s battles and intercede for them.     "He is the Source of Your Help"

    You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. - Psalm 3:3, AMPCSometimes circumstances may convince us to keep our head down. But we cannot go through life looking down, thinking about our problems, dwelling on how bad it is, reliving every negative thing that’s happened, and expect to have God’s best. You may feel you have too many problems, but God is the glory and the lifter of your head. He is the source of your help.The enemy tries to weigh you down with heavy burdens and depression and convince you to stay focused on your difficulties. Before long that discouragement is like a heavy weight you are dragging around. But if you allow God to be the glory and the lifter of your head, and work with Him to shake off that discouragement, the only thing that will weigh on you is the favor of God. You’ll be heavy with joy, with blessings, with victory. When you can’t lift your head on your own strength or when circumstances have overwhelmed you, that’s when God will show up as the glory and the lifter of your head.Prayer: Father, thank You for being a shield about me, my glory and the lifter of my head. Thank You that the enemy has no right to weigh me down with discouragement and heaviness. I declare that I am looking to You as the source of my help and victory.     "A Happy Mind in a Hard Season"

    “I think myself happy, King Agrippa, because today I shall answer for myself before you concerning all the things of which I am accused by the Jews.” - Acts 26:2, NKJV After being in prison for two years on false charges, the apostle Paul was brought before King Agrippa for his trial. The first thing Paul said was, “King Agrippa, I think myself happy.” You would think he would see himself as a victim, be bitter and angry. But he shows us a secret of how to overcome all that. He said, “I think myself happy.” He was saying, “I consider myself fortunate to stand before you even though my accusers want me to be put to death.” You can think yourself depressed, you can think yourself into a bad mood, and you can think yourself a victim. Or you can do as Paul did and say, “Yes, I’ve had a lot of difficulties. I could be sour and live discouraged, but I’m going to think myself happy.” As long as you’re thinking about your hurts, what you didn’t get, how you were left out, you’re going to be discouraged. Don’t replay the loss, the disappointment, or the failure. Start thinking faith-filled, positive, hopeful, uplifting thoughts. That’s what you’re going to draw in. Prayer: Father, thank You that I can choose to set my mind on joy today and become my best because You made this day. Thank You that I can keep my heart steady when the challenges of this day try to push me toward a victim mindset. I will keep thinking faith-filled thoughts that strengthen me from within.     "When God Brings water Without Rain"

     2 Kings 3:17–18, NIVYou will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water...This is an easy thing in the eyes of the LORD; he will also deliver Moab into your hands. Having traveled through the desert on their way to a battle, the armies of Judah and Israel completely ran out of water and feared they were doomed. But the prophet Elisha told them that the dry valley would be filled with an abundance of water even though there was no rain. That seemed impossible, but the next morning water suddenly started flowing into the valley from an unknown source.  You may be in a valley that's dry today. It looks permanent, but you don't have to figure out how God is going to bring you into abundance. It may not seem possible. That's okay. The valley doesn't stop our God. We think natural, but God is supernatural. He's not limited by what you don't have. He knows how to turn your situation around. His favor can open a door that couldn't be opened. He can heal without a treatment. God brings water without rain. He controls the faucet. Get ready. It's not going to be ordinary. There's no explanation. It's going to be the hand of God. Prayer: Father, thank You that Your hand has been upon my life in so many ways. Thank You for the countless things You have made happen for my good that I could never make happen. I declare that I'm going to stay in peace in the dry valley and know that You are in control.     When God Gives "Special Strength"

    1 Kings 18:46, NLTThen the LORD gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab's chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel. In today's Scripture, the prophet Elijah had just defeated the 450 prophets of Baal who supported King Ahab, and no doubt he was exhausted. Yet it says that God gave him the special strength to outrun Ahab's chariot over the twenty-mile journey to Jezreel. That chariot represented Ahab's power, and it's not possible for a man to outrun a horse even over a short distance. God was showing Ahab that His power was so far superior to anything Ahab had.  You may look at what you're up against today and feel that you don’t have the strength, the endurance, the fortitude to keep battling. Maybe it's cancer, or an addiction, or a situation in your family. No, get ready. God is not going to let you stay feeling overwhelmed. Right now, He is breathing special strength into you. When you have special strength, you're going to overcome what looks impossible, you're going to accomplish dreams that seem too far gone. You're about to outrun some chariots. Prayer: Father, thank You that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord my Provider for whatever I need. Thank You that You are breathing special strength into me to help me overcome all the situations that are coming against me. I believe that You will give me the power to outrun a chariot.     "Your Hands, God’s Assignment"

    Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. - Ecclesiastes 9:10, NIVSome people never go to church or listen to a sermon or read the Bible. Instead, they’re reading your life. They’re watching how you live. Make sure you look and live the best you possibly can. The Almighty God lives in you, and you represent Him. Make sure you’re representing Him in a way that brings praise to Him, whether it’s through your life, your house, your car, your clothes, your cubicle, or your office. You may be in a situation today where everybody around you is compromising their integrity or taking the easy way out. Don’t go there. Be the one to have an excellent spirit. Be a cut above and set the highest standard. Give it your all and produce more than is expected. Whether you have much or a little, whether it’s old or new, take pride in what God has given you and take good care of it. Do your job to the best of your ability and live in such a manner that when people see you, they are attracted to your God. Be the best witness you can be.Prayer: Father, thank You for calling me to be a person of excellence in everything I do and always be my best. I want that excellence to flow out of my heart of love for You. I believe that as I give it my all, I will see Your goodness and favor in my life in new ways.     "The King of Glory"

    Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty—he is the King of glory. - Psalm 24:9–10, NIVDavid said, “Lift up your head, and the King of glory will come in.” It’s easy to go through life always looking back, focusing on what didn’t work out, on who hurt you, and on the mistakes you’ve made. As long as you’re not looking up and you are discouraged, with no joy, no passion, and no zeal, the King of glory will not come. As long as you’re living in regret, you won’t move ahead to the bright future God has in store. You can’t change what’s happened to you in the past, but you can do something about right now. I’ve found when God touches somebody who has been living way off course, He will use them to do amazing things.You have the promise that “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” It says in Psalm 112 that the seed of the righteous will be mighty in the land—not ordinary, not average, but exceptional, powerful, amazing. He had a big dream for his life, but nobody paid attention to him. David could have been discouraged, but today’s Scripture says he believed he would see God’s goodness when all the circumstances were against him. He was confident that he would leave his mark despite how long it had been, despite who didn’t believe in him.The Scripture says there’s a set time for God to favor you. There are marked moments when God has planned to suddenly promote you, suddenly turn it around, suddenly open the door. For David, that happened when the prophet Samuel showed up at his home and anointed him to be the next king. David was saying, “If I hadn’t believed in God’s favor, I wouldn’t have been anointed by Samuel, wouldn’t have defeated Goliath, outlasted King Saul, and taken the throne.” You can rest knowing that God has already lined up the breaks, the protection, and the promotion to take you into your destiny.Prayer: Father, thank You that You have set times when You show me Your favor in special ways. In Ezekiel’s case, they represented the return of the people of Israel. But they also represent things in our lives that seem dead, dreams that didn’t work out, closed doors. When God asked Ezekiel if he believed the bones could live, He was saying, “What level of faith are you at?” Ezekiel answered back, “O Sovereign Lord.” He was saying, in effect, “God, You control the universe. You can do the impossible.” That was the faith God was looking for. He told Ezekiel to prophesy to those dead bones, and when he did, the bones came back to life.You may face situations in your health, finances, or relationships that seem impossible. You can stay stuck there with little faith, but as with Ezekiel, great faith is in you. It’s not in your mind or your emotions; it’s in your spirit, and you need to wake it up. Tune that out and get in agreement with your Creator. He’s saying, “It’s still going to happen. I’m going to bring you to a flourishing finish.” It’s not a defeated finish, a bankrupt finish, a lonely finish, or a betrayed finish. God has a victorious finish for you, an abundant finish, a flourishing finish. That means you’re blossoming, blooming, seeing dreams coming to pass, and going further than you’ve imagined. That means you’re healthy, whole, being a bigger blessing than you’ve ever dreamed. New doors are about to open. The right people are about to show up.     Your Time Is Coming!

    Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the entire land of Egypt.” - Genesis 41:41, NLT Joseph was taken to Egypt and spent a combined thirteen years in slavery and prison. He had no influence, no resources, no future to speak of, but kept doing the right thing when the wrong thing was happening, and God was with him. The day finally came when Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, and overnight Pharaoh put him in charge of all of Egypt. Joseph went from no influence to the highest influence, from no resources to being in charge of all the food supply of Egypt. And he provided his entire family with a place of abundance in which to live and thrive. What happened? A transfer.Don’t judge where you are as where you’re going to stay. God has some transfers of influence and resources for you. These transfers require obedience, honoring God, doing the right thing when it’s hard. There will be seasons, as with Joseph, when it’s not fair and nothing is changing. Don’t be discouraged. Your time is coming. It’s going to happen suddenly, out of the ordinary. You couldn’t have made it happen. It’s the hand of God.  Prayer: Father, thank You that what so often looks like trouble or a setback is really Your hand moving me toward Your purpose. As a child, we have no limits. We believe we can do great things. But over time our dreams start to get watered down. People tell us what we can’t do. We go through disappointments, things that are unfair. We let negative thoughts taint how we see ourselves and what we’re capable of. We end up settling for so much less than what God has for us. Pay attention to the story you’re telling yourself. Go back to what God put in your heart. He wants you to dream again, to believe again, to love again. Don’t let wrong thoughts limit your destiny. Don’t believe the lies that say, “I’ll never get well, never go to college, or never meet the right person.” Tell yourself a new story. You can still accomplish your dream. You can still get well, still meet someone awesome, and still go to new levels. Get rid of that limited thinking.     The men were afraid that the ship would hit the sandbanks of Syrtis, so they lowered the sail and let the wind carry the ship. - Acts 27:17, NCVIn Acts 27, God promised Paul that he would stand trial before Caesar in Rome, but the ship he was on was caught for fourteen days in a huge storm with hurricane-force winds. When all hope had been given up of being saved, the captain decided to stop fighting the storm, lowered the sails, and let the wind blow them. But when they shipwrecked on the island of Malta, Paul shared the good news with the islanders, and many were healed and became believers. What looked like a setback in God’s plan for Paul was actually a divine detour to move him to people in need.While we stand against sickness, addictions, and abusive situations, there are some storms and troubles that are leading to where God wants you to go. You have to quit trying to make it work out your way. It’s a divine detour. If you fight it, you’re not going to win. What you can’t see is that trouble is transportation, moving you into your purpose, perhaps into a position to make a difference in someone else’s life.Prayer: Father, thank You that the winds and waves that I face today cannot stop Your plan for my life. They were so discouraged and sorrowful that Jesus was gone, that their hopes and dreams were shattered. They were so focused on what didn’t work out, this great disappointment, that they didn’t recognize the risen Jesus who suddenly joined them in their journey and conversation. In that incredible moment, He began to explain to them all that the Scripture had predicted about Him, how He would be crucified and rise from the dead on the third day. It wasn’t until later that day that they realized their seven-mile walk had been in the presence of the risen Savior.How many times on our daily journey are we not recognizing what God is doing? We’re so caught up in dealing with problems, trying to fix our finances or our family or an illness, that we don’t see all the good things God is doing in the present moment. Don’t be so focused on what’s wrong that you don’t recognize that Jesus is walking with you through it all.Prayer: Father, thank You that You are walking with me and working in my life every day. They complained about the giants, the food, the leadership, and their short comings. That group never made it into the Promised Land. What would have happened if they would have dealt with that negative, complaining spirit? They could have gone in, but they let those impurities keep them out. God gave them chance after chance to change, but He would not force them to do the right thing.Before you go into your promised land, there will be times of testing, times of proving, where you have to show God that you’ll do the right thing when you don’t feel like it. You’ll keep a good attitude when it’s not fair. You’ll deal with the impurities He brings to light. Those tests are not there to stop you; that’s a sign that God is refining you, getting you prepared for something greater, for the new things He has in store. You have to do your part and be willing to change and make the adjustments. God wants to entrust you with more.Prayer: Father, thank You that my life as well as my promised land is in Your hands.     As Paul talked about righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and said, “That’s enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you.” - Acts 24:25, NIVFelix was a ruthless, immoral Roman governor over Judea with whom the apostle Paul had the opportunity to share God’s truth. This was a destiny moment for Felix, and he knew he needed to change. God was speaking to his heart. It was vital that he receive the grace of God in order to see what God had in store for his life. He had the opportunity to take a step into his destiny, but he put it off and there’s no way to know if that “convenient” moment ever came. God is speaking to all of us. It may be about an area where we need to grow, come up higher, and make better decisions. We’ve heard it. We keep ignoring it, but it won’t go away. Now is the time to act. Maybe it’s a whisper in your spirit that says you need to stretch, get out of your comfort zone, take a step of faith. Pay attention to the whispers. You are one whisper away from stepping into greater favor, greater influence, greater resources, something more than you’ve imagined.Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to my heart and opening windows of grace for me to make changes in my life that need to be made. I’m grateful to be alive.” That’s setting your mind to receive more peace, more joy, and more favor. That’s making plans for a blessed day. That’s empowering you with thoughts of victory, favor, breakthroughs, and abundance. You’ll ask Him for your dreams, for what looks impossible. Are you like this lady, asking Him for water, asking Him for the ordinary? He’s saying, “I have living water. I have abundance. I have healing. I have breakthroughs. I have houses. I have businesses. I have ministries. I have favor that will catapult you where you can’t go by yourself.” Pray big, believe big, and God will exceed your expectations. God is ordering your steps, and He will not mismanage your life. He knows who hurt you, what you didn’t get, what wasn’t fair. He knows how much fire, how much heat, how much pressure you can handle. He’s still in control of the thermostat. If that fire was going to take you out or stop you, He wouldn’t allow it. You are well able. You are strong in the Lord. You are full of can-do power. Keep the right perspective: That fire is not going to burn you up. It’s releasing you into new levels. The fire is all a part of God’s plan so you can become all you were created to be. In the former prostitute Rahab, He sees a respectful, honored woman who is in the family line of Jesus. God knows your heart. You may have done things you’re not proud of, but God sees the redeemed you. You may be intimidated, thinking you’re not that talented. God sees the history maker in you. Maybe you’ve been hurt, abandoned, or betrayed. God sees the valuable you, the blessed you, the favored you. Nothing that’s happened to you has changed the true you. God looks beyond our mistakes, the hurts, the bad breaks, and He sees who He created you to be. He hasn’t lost the vision of who you are. He won’t stop working until He brings out the best you.Prayer: Father, thank You that You see my heart and know who I am and all the potential that is in me. Don’t be a Thomas and say, “God, show me a sign, open this door, change my circumstances, then I’ll believe.” God is looking for people who believe without a sign, who don’t need the evidence to prove to them that He is working.It’s great when you get a sign, but don’t rely on signs. Don’t become dependent on seeing first and then believing. Your faith needs to kick in when there’s no evidence. Instead of asking God to prove to you what He’s going to do, turn it around and prove to God who you are. Prove to Him that you’re not going to be moved by what you don’t see or give up because things aren’t changing.     "Blessed are the pure in heart

    Matthew 5:8, NIV"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. "Pure in heart... The word translated as "heart" designates the intellect, the conscience, and the inner man. Those with pure hearts have forsaken sin as a ruling principle in life, and their lives are without reserve consecrated to God. In the Scripture, the Pharisees went to the temple all the time and did the right religious things outwardly, but they had wrong motives. They went to be seen and to impress people. They prayed long prayers out loud, but only because they wanted everybody to hear them. They gave their money so they would look good. And in the process, they failed to see God right in front of them in Jesus. Today's Scripture tells us that our inner life is more important than our outer life. On a regular basis, we should ask ourselves, "Why am I doing this? Is it to help someone out of love or to impress them and get something? Am I seeking the promotion to be my best or to prove my importance? Am I volunteering as a service to God or to get other people's applause?" Don't go year after year as the Pharisees did, giving, serving, doing the right thing but not reaping any reward, because you're doing it for the wrong reason.Father, thank You for calling me to have a pure heart and deal openly and honestly with the hidden issues that hold me back. Search my heart and show me where my motives are wrong and where I'm pretending. I want to be real so You can use me for Your highest purposes.     "Believing for the Impossible"

    Genesis 16:2, NLTSo Sarai said to Abram, "The LORD has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her." And  Abram agreed with Sarai's proposal.In Genesis 15, God told Abraham that He was going to give him and Sarah a son. The problem was that they were already too old to have children in the natural. Years went by, and finally Sarah told Abraham to sleep with her maid. She watered down the promise and brought it down to the level she thought was possible, and Abraham went along with it. Instead of releasing their faith, believing for the extraordinary, they settled for what they thought was good enough. But the baby Ishmael was not the promised child, and trying to help God out caused many problems. Too many times we take what God put in our heart, and instead of coming up to His level and believing for the impossible, we bring it down to what makes sense to us. Why don't you take the limits off God? What He promises will come to pass--not a watered-down version, not a get-by version, not a good-enough version. Get ready for the fullness of what God said.Prayer: Father, thank You that You are the Most High God, and You are not limited by what limits me. Help me to remember that You can do the impossible when I'm tempted to water down Your promises. I believe that You can take me where I can't go on my own.     Meditate on His Promises

    “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. - Joshua 1:8, NIVTo meditate means “to think about something over and over.” Worry is meditating. It’s letting the negative play again and again in your mind. Some people have this principle down. They’re professional worriers. The problem is they’re meditating on the wrong things. They’re letting the negative continually play. Why don’t you switch what you’re meditating on? It doesn’t take any more energy to believe in God’s promises than it does to worry about what you can’t control. This one small tweak can make a life-changing difference. Instead of going through the day worried about your future, wondering how you’re going to make it, make this small tweak: “Father, thank You that You have me in the palms of Your hands. Thank You for the promise that the path of the righteous, my path, is getting brighter and brighter. I know that You’re ordering my steps. You say no good thing will you withhold because I walk uprightly.” Now, instead of your thoughts defeating you, draining your energy, and limiting your future, you’re using your thoughts to encourage you, to empower you, to build your faith.Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word and for the abundance of Your promises. Thank You that Your thoughts have the power to encourage, empower, and build me up in the faith. I declare that I will not allow negative thoughts to play again and again in my mind.     Have Faith In God

    And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.” - Mark 11:22, ESVIn Mark 11, the disciples were surprised when they saw a fig tree had withered up one day after Jesus said that no one would ever eat from it again. Nothing on the outside of the tree had looked any different, but the roots had immediately begun to wither. He was showing us that the moment you believe and receive what you ask for in prayer, things in the unseen realm start lining up in your favor. Good breaks, the right people, healing, or abundance start heading your way.Jesus responded to their surprise by saying, “Have faith in God.” It’s not faith in your circumstances, or what you can do, or in another person. They don’t control the universe. They didn’t part the Red Sea or raise Lazarus from the dead. Our God is all-powerful. When He speaks, angels go to work, forces of darkness are broken, good breaks come chasing you down. One touch of His favor will catapult you ahead. What you’ve believed for and received in your spirit may look impossible, but it’s nothing for our God.“Father, thank You that You are in no way limited to what my circumstances look like or have been. Thank You that I can have the faith to believe and receive what I ask You for. Help me to have the patience to wait confidently for the miracle You have set in motion.     Listen!

    For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. - Romans 8:14, NIVAs believers, the Holy Spirit lives inside each one of us. He’s called our helper, our counselor, our guide. The more sensitive we are to His whispers, what we’re feeling, the inner promptings, the nudging, the further we’re going to go. This is something we have to learn so strongly, to not go against what we’re feeling inside. We have to trust that the Holy Spirit is directing us. That’s where God speaks to you. No matter how good the opportunity looks, no matter how impressive the person seems, if you don’t have peace about situations that involve them, don’t move forward. Or just the opposite. A situation may seem impossible, the odds are against you, and all the circumstances say it’s not going to happen, but if you have an inner peace, that sense of knowing that the Spirit gives, take that step of faith. When you develop this skill of listening to the whisper, following that still small voice, God will not only take you further, but He’ll protect you from things that would have caused you heartache and pain.Prayer! Father, thank You for giving me the Holy Spirit to be my helper, my counselor, and my guide throughout my life. Thank You that You’ve promised to lead me on the right path, into the right places, and with the right people. Help me to be sensitive to hear how You are speaking to me.     A Transfer Is Coming!

    - Exodus 3:22, TLB “Every woman will ask for jewels, silver, gold, and the finest of clothes from her Egyptian master’s wife and neighbors. You will clothe your sons and daughters with the best of Egypt!” When God delivered the Israelites out of slavery, Egypt had more wealth and affluence than any other country. As the Israelites were leaving Egypt, they didn’t leave empty-handed. A transfer took place. The Egyptians had oppressed them for years, forced them to work without pay and in unfair conditions. While their oppressors lived in nice homes with whatever they needed, the Israelites had suffered lack, not having enough. But the time came when God said, “I’m going to take from those who are not using their resources for the right purposes and transfer them into the hands of My people.” The Israelites went into the desert loaded down with the wealth from their oppressors. God knows how to transfer resources, influence, and abundance. You may be in a situation that looks as though you’re stuck, you’re at a disadvantage, you’re not being treated right. My encouragement is to stay in peace. Keep doing the right thing. A transfer is coming. God knows how to make it up to you. He has good breaks that will suddenly shift things in your favor.Prayer: Father, thank You that You are a God of justice and You keep the records. Thank You that the time comes when You say that enough is enough, that it’s payback time. I believe that things are about to shift in my favor and that a transfer is on the way.     Delayed Gratification

     Hebrews 12:11, NIV "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Being disciplined is not easy. It’s difficult to walk away when someone is rude, to not give in to a temptation, or to get up early to excel at work. Your flesh wants to be comfortable. Your flesh wants the easy way out, but you can’t be comfortable all the time and reach your destiny. If you do the hard thing now, later on you’ll see blessings and favor that you’ve never seen. But the flesh always wants instant gratification. “If I tell this person off right now, it will feel so good. Even though I can’t afford this item, I want it now.” But it’s important to think about later on. We should be growing, being more mature than we were five years ago. If I’m still dealing with my temper the same way as years ago, still getting offended, upset, and jealous, I’m letting the flesh dictate my life. To be disciplined can save your marriage, take you to a new level in your career, break mediocrity, and launch you into abundance.Prayer: Father, thank You that You are working in me and giving me the desire to obey You. Thank You that whether I feel like it or not, I have the power to overcome and be disciplined to do the right thing. I believe that a harvest of righteousness is coming as I stay true to You.     Like a Mother’s Heart

    Jeremiah 1:5, NIV “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” You didn’t show up because your mother and father decided to have a baby. It wasn’t a random coincidence that they got together. Sometimes when a pregnancy is not planned, we say this baby was a surprise. You may have been a surprise to your parents, but you are not a surprise to our God. As was true for Jeremiah, He’s been thinking about you from eternity, and He has an appointed purpose for which He has set you apart. He has written the script, and there will be moments of favor and blessing that will come to you. Your purpose will come tracking you down. In Jeremiah’s life, he couldn’t possibly become a prophet to the nations on his own. He couldn’t earn it, work for it, or put out flyers that said, “Hey, vote for me to be a prophet.” Who he became was a reflection of the sovereignty of God. In your life, He will override every force, every limitation, every disadvantage, and every bad decision that tries to stop you, and He will thrust you into your destiny.Father, thank You that You are the Most High God and You handpicked me and set me apart for Your own purpose before my birth. Thank You for calling me to live by a higher standard and be set apart for Your purpose. I want to live up to my calling and bring You praise.     Here Am I, Send Me!

    Judges 6:14, NLT  "Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” Gideon was hiding from the enemy when an angel told him he was to lead the Israelites in battle, that he was a mighty man of fearless courage. Down deep, Gideon knew the call of God was on his life, that greatness was in him, but he was at a decision point. Was he going to let fear, insecurity, and an “I’m not qualified” mind-set keep him from his destiny? Was he going to confront his fears or just stay comfortable in hiding? Gideon stopped running, faced his fears, confronted his insecurity, and became a hero of faith. You can’t become all you were created to be when you run from things that are hard. It’s uncomfortable to deal with your temper, your insecurity, or to forgive someone who hurt you, but don’t shrink back because it’s hard. The problem with running is it doesn’t go away. Before you can move forward, you have to deal with it. Don’t go ten years living below your potential because you didn’t want to do the hard thing.Prayer: Father, thank You for Your call on my life to rise up, to wake up the greatness You put in me. Thank You that I am not limited by fear or insecurity or by feelings of being unqualified that have been passed down through my family.     Where Are You?

    Genesis 3:8–9, NIV "Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the LORD God called to the man, “Where are you?” - Before Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, they were happy, confident, and secure. They knew God loved them. They walked with God, talked with God, and enjoyed being in His presence. But when they disobeyed, the condemnation came, the accusing voice that brought fear and intimidation. The first thing they did was run and hide. They had to get out of God’s presence. They believed the lie that they wouldn’t be gladly welcomed anymore. God came and said, “Adam, where are you?” It wasn’t so much about his location; it was about his frame of mind, about the shame and guilt. Perhaps you have disobeyed what you know God says, you’re not where you want to be, and you don’t feel worthy or deserving of God’s goodness. Now, as with Adam, you’re hiding. God is saying, “Where are you? I long to be with you. I have forgiveness for your wrongs. I have washed away your sins. Come out of hiding, come out of unworthiness, come out of condemnation, and receive My glad welcome.” Prayer: Father, thank You that You didn’t create me to hide my sins and weaknesses or hide from You. Thank You that I can come to You and unload all the condemnation and fear and feelings of unworthiness. I believe that You have washed away my sins and are pouring out Your goodness upon me.
