    Luke Chapter 18

In this episode, we’re diving deep into Luke 18, a chapter that feels like a masterclass in how to approach God. We start with the Parable of the Persistent Widow, where Jesus teaches us why we should keep knocking on heaven's door even when the answer feels delayed. Why does persistence matter to God? We also unpack the famous (and uncomfortable) contrast between the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. It’s a gut-check on religious pride versus honest humility—reminding us that God isn't looking for a resume; He’s looking for a heart that knows it needs mercy. Other highlights include: Childlike Faith: Why Jesus says the smallest and most "unimportant" people in the room actually have the key to the Kingdom. The Rich Young Ruler: A tough conversation about the "one thing" that can keep us from truly following Jesus. The Blind Beggar: A beautiful ending to the chapter that shows what happens when someone refuses to be silenced by the crowd. Whether you're feeling weary in prayer or struggling to let go of something that's holding you back, this chapter has a direct word for you. Grab your coffee, open your Bible, and let’s talk about what it really looks like to enter the Kingdom of God. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: 💡 Stay Connected! Living Water

We all have those days where we feel spiritually "dry." We’re doing all the things, checking all the boxes, but our souls feel parched and exhausted. In today’s devotional, we are reminded that spiritual authority doesn't come from our own effort—it flows from our connection to the Living Water. If you’re thirsty for peace, purpose, or just the strength to get through the afternoon, it’s time to stop striving and start drinking. Today’s Heart-Check: The Source vs. The Resource: Why people, jobs, and even our own success can never truly satisfy the soul. Internal Overflow: How the Holy Spirit within you becomes a spring that never runs dry, even in "dry" seasons. Resting in the Flow: Learning that authority is most natural when we are most saturated in His presence. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: John 7:38 John 4:14 John 7:39 💡 Stay Connected! Spiritual Authority Week 2: The Leak

Last week, we talked about The Position, knowing that we are seated in heavenly places with Christ. But have you ever felt like you knew your position, yet your prayers felt "thin"? Like the power was there, but it was draining out before it could hit the target? In Week 2 of our Spiritual Authority series, we will get real about "The Leak." We’re diving into the "small" compromises and the hidden habits that don't just affect our character; they clog the faucet of our spiritual authority. In this episode, we’re breaking down: The "Dead Fly" Principle: How one small area of compromise can spoil the whole "perfume" of your witness (Ecclesiastes 10:1). Identifying the Clog: Why the enemy doesn't need a frontal assault if he can just get you to ignore a "small" leak. The Story of Achan: A hard look at how hidden sin affects public victory (Joshua 7). The Power of Clean Hands: Why a "Pure Heart" is a prerequisite for a "Powerful Hand" (Psalm 24:3-4). Authority isn't just about what you say with your mouth; it’s about the integrity of the vessel the words are coming from. It’s time to plug the leaks and get back into full alignment. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Ecclesiastes 10:1 – Dead flies in the ointment. Psalm 66:18 – If I cherish iniquity, He will not hear. Joshua 7 – The consequences of hidden compromise. Psalm 51:10 – The prayer for a clean heart. 💡 Stay Connected! Let Peace Decide

We’ve all been there: facing a decision or a situation where everything looks "right" on paper, but your spirit is restless. In today’s devotional, we talk about the "umpire" of our hearts. When we walk in spiritual authority, we don't have to be driven by panic. We can let the peace of Christ have the final say. Today’s Heart-Check: The Internal Compass: Why peace is often God’s "green light" (or red light) for your next move. Refusing the Rush: Learning that if God is in it, you don't have to be hurried or pressured into it. Guarding the Gate: How to protect your peace when the world around you is loud. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Colossians 3:15 John 14:27 💡 Stay Connected! Give It to God

We often say we trust God, but our stress levels tell a different story. In today’s devotional, we talk about the actual act of handing it over. If you’re tired of carrying the weight of "how" and "when," it’s time to truly give it to God, and leave it there. Today’s Heart-Check: The Exchange: Swapping your heavy burden for His easy yoke. Release the Grip: Why trying to control the outcome is actually blocking your peace. Final Authority: Trusting that if He is the Source, He is also the Sustainer. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Proverbs 12:25 Philippians 4:6-7 1 Peter 5:7 💡 Stay Connected! In this episode, we’re breaking down the myth of total independence. We’ll look at why community isn't just a "nice to have," but a mechanical necessity for reaching your full potential. Whether you are leading a classroom, a family, or a business, your breakthrough is often hidden in the hands of the people God has placed around you. In this episode, we discuss: The Strength of the Collective: Why "we" is always more powerful than "me." Identifying Your Inner Circle: How to recognize the destiny-helpers in your life. Overcoming the Fear of Help: Breaking the pride that tells us we have to do it all ourselves. Key Takeaway: Isolation is the enemy of progress. Luke Chapter 16

In Luke chapter 16, Jesus moves from the beautiful parables of the "lost" things in chapter 15 to a direct conversation about our wallets. He starts with one of the strangest stories in the Bible, the Dishonest Manager, and ends with the chilling account of the Rich Man and Lazarus. In this episode, we explore: The Shrewd Manager: Why did Jesus praise a dishonest man, and what does it mean for our eternal "investment" strategy? The Master Test: How to tell if you’re serving God or wealth (and why you can't do both). The Lazarus at Your Gate: A wake-up call about the people we’ve learned to ignore. Stewardship vs. Ownership: Rethinking everything we "own" as a loan from God. This isn’t a lesson on budgeting or 401ks—it’s a heart check. Jesus is reminding us that what we do with our money reveals exactly what we love. Weekly Homework: Choose one "Micro-Habit" to put this study into practice: The Master Audit: Review your bank statement and calendar from last month. What do they say about who you’re really serving? Find Your Lazarus: Identify one person "at your gate" this week, someone you usually walk past, and show them radical, unexpected kindness. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Luke 16 💡 Stay Connected! He Keeps His Word

Today, we’re talking about Promises. In a world where people let us down and plans fall through, it’s easy to start viewing God through that same lens of skepticism. But Matthew 28:6 gives us the most powerful "receipt" in history: “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” If Jesus kept the most impossible promise ever made—overcoming death itself, He can certainly be trusted with the promises He’s made to you. In this episode, we explore: The "Just As He Said" Principle: Why the empty tomb is the ultimate proof of God's reliability. The 2 Corinthians 1:20 Assurance: Understanding that every promise from God is a "Yes" in Christ. Overcoming the "I Don't See How" Trap: Shifting our focus from the mechanism of the miracle to the character of the Maker. Weekly Micro-Habit: The Promise Anchor: Identify one specific promise in Scripture that you’re struggling to believe right now (maybe it’s about provision, peace, or guidance). Write it down on a sticky note or your phone lock screen. Every time you feel doubt creeping in today, read it out loud and follow it with this phrase: God’s track record is perfect. He keeps His word. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Matthew 28:6 Matthew 16:21 2 Corinthians 1:20 💡 Stay Connected! Choose to Be Chosen — Your Response

We all know the verse: "Many are called, but few are chosen." But what does that actually mean for your daily life? Is there a difference between being used by God and being approved by Him? In Week 4 of our series, we’re moving past the "poetic" language and getting real about your response to God. In this episode, we dive into 2 Timothy 2:20–21 to discover how you can move from being an "ordinary" vessel to a "vessel of honor." If you’ve ever felt like your public spiritual life doesn’t match your private heart, or if you’re tired of just going through the motions, this message is for you. It’s time to close the gap, put on your "wedding garment," and live a life that is truly set apart. In this video, we discuss: The Kitchen Table Test: Why God cares more about your "cleansing" than your talent. Closing the Integrity Gap: Making sure your Tuesday night matches your Sunday morning. The Long Obedience: Why faithfulness in the "quiet years" is the mark of the chosen. The Wardrobe of the Elect: Practical steps to "clothe yourself" in kindness and humility every day. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: 2 Timothy 2:20–21 (Vessels of Honor) Colossians 3:12–14 (The Wardrobe of the Chosen) Matthew 22:1–14 (The Parable of the Wedding Banquet) 💡 Stay Connected! What Do You Treasure?

Today, we’re asking a question that’s a bit of a heart-check: What do you actually treasure? Jesus tells us in Matthew 6 that where our treasure is, our hearts will be too. It’s easy to say we value the right things, but our time, our energy, and even our stress levels often tell a different story. Today, we’re looking at how to realign our hearts with the only Treasure that never fades. In this episode, we explore: The Heart’s Compass: Understanding why your heart naturally follows what you value most. The "Guard" Duty: Why Proverbs 4:23 is the most important "home security" advice you'll ever get for your soul. Counting the Cost: Looking at Paul’s perspective in Philippians 3—why everything else is "loss" compared to knowing Christ. Weekly Micro-Habit: The "Yesterday" Audit: Take two minutes today to look back at yesterday. Where did your mental energy go? What was the one thing you were most worried about or excited for? Don't judge yourself—just notice. If you don't like what you see, take a moment to tell God, "I want You to be my greatest treasure today." 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Matthew 6:21 Proverbs 4:23 Philippians 3:8 💡 Stay Connected! He's Already Proved It

Today, we’re tackling that lingering "what if" that often keeps us up at night: Is God actually going to take care of me? It’s easy to believe God is good when things are going great, but when the bank account is low or a relationship is falling apart, we start to doubt. Today, we’re looking at a verse that settles the argument once and for all. If God already gave us the biggest, most precious gift imaginable, His own Son, why would He hold back on the rest? In this episode, we talk about: The Endurance of Love: Why Psalm 100 and 107 remind us that God’s goodness isn't a mood, it’s His nature. The Romans 8:32 Logic: If He didn't spare Jesus, He’s definitely not going to abandon you in your current struggle. The "Proof" Reset: Shifting our focus from our circumstances back to the Cross. Weekly Micro-Habit: The "He’s Got It" Reset: Every time a worry pops into your head today, I want you to stop and say this out loud: "He already gave me Jesus. He’ll handle this, too." Whether it’s a bill, a difficult conversation, or a stressful deadline, use the Cross as your proof that He isn't going to let you go now. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Psalm 100:5 Psalm 107:1 Romans 8:32 💡 Stay Connected! Stop Hiding

Today, we’re talking about something we usually try to keep in the dark: Hiding. Whether it’s a mistake from last week or a pattern we can’t seem to break, we often think covering it up is the safest move. But in this study, we look at why hiding actually makes our burdens heavier and how God’s mercy is waiting the moment we get honest. In this episode, we dive into: The High Cost of Hiding: Why Proverbs warns that "covering up" keeps us from prospering. The Freedom of Confession: Understanding that God isn't shocked by your secrets—He’s just waiting to lift the weight off your shoulders. The Promise of John 1:9: Why "all unrighteousness" really does mean everything. Weekly Micro-Habit: The Specific Confession: This week, get alone with God for five minutes. Don’t just say "I messed up." Name one specific thing out loud to Him. Hear yourself say it, then hear Him say you’re forgiven. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Proverbs 28:13 Psalm 32:5 1 John 1:9 💡 Stay Connected! Luke Chapter 15

Have you ever felt like you’ve wandered too far to be brought back? Or maybe you’ve stayed "home," but your heart has grown cold and judgmental? This episode dives into the three most famous "lost" stories in the Bible: a sheep, a coin, and a son. What We’re Covering: The Seeker: Discover how God isn't waiting for you to find Him; He is actively hunting for you. The Party in Heaven: Why your "mess-ups" don't disqualify you, but actually set the stage for a celestial celebration. The Elder Brother Syndrome: How to avoid the trap of being "right" but having no room for grace. The Bottom Line: It doesn't matter how you got lost, it only matters that the Father is standing at the edge of the driveway waiting for you to come home. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Luke 15 💡 Stay Connected! Used by God, But Not Chosen?

Week 3 takes a sobering turn. 2 Timothy 2:20–21 1 Samuel 15:22–23 1 Samuel 15:26–28 Numbers, chapters 22 -24 Numbers 31:16 2 Peter, Jude, and Revelation. John 6:70 Matthew 26:14–16 We’ve been talking about the difference between being called and being chosen, and this week, we look at four lives that force us to wrestle with that reality in a deeper way: Saul, Samson, Balaam, and Judas. Each of them had influence. Each of them was used. Each of them was close to what God was doing. And yet… something went wrong. This episode asks a hard but necessary question: Is it possible to be used by God, and still not truly belong to Him? Through these stories, we uncover a truth that challenges surface-level faith: spiritual activity is not the same as surrender. Gifts are not the same as character. And proximity to God is not the same as a heart that’s fully His. If you’ve ever assumed that being involved, gifted, or even successful spiritually means everything is right, this conversation will make you think again. Take a moment, lean in, and ask yourself honestly: Am I just doing things for God… or do I truly belong to Him? 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: 💡 Stay Connected! Following Jesus is easy… until it isn’t. This week, we’re diving into Luke 14 and 15 to look at the 'Blueprint' of the Kingdom of God. From awkward dinner parties with religious elites to the radical stories of the Lost Sheep and the Prodigal Son, Jesus is stripping away our excuses and our pride. In this episode, we’re breaking down: The Social Ladder: Why the best seat in the house is the one nobody wants. The Anatomy of an Excuse: How 'good things' (work, family, success) keep us from the Best Thing. The Search & Rescue: How God hunts us down when we’ve wandered off. The Bottom Line: God’s table is open to everyone, but it requires us to leave our egos at the door. You're Already Full

Today, we’re talking about the "hunger" we all feel, the restlessness that tells us we need more money, more likes, or more control to be okay. The truth? If you have Jesus, you’re already at a full table. You don't have to chase what you already own. What we’re covering: The Bread of Life: Why worldly "snacks" always leave us hungry again. The Fullness Factor: Understanding that God’s best isn’t waiting for you in the future, it’s in you right now. Ending the Chase: How to stay satisfied even when your circumstances aren't perfect. The "So What?": You aren't working toward fullness; you’re living from it. Today’s Micro-Habit: Whenever you feel that "I need more" anxiety creep in today, stop for ten seconds. Take a breath and say out loud: "I am already full in Christ." WEEK 2: Holy Lives That Proved They Were Chosen

Is being "chosen" by God just a theological concept, or does it change the way you wake up in the morning? In Week 2 of our series, Called vs. Chosen, we move past the invitation and look at the evidence. We’re diving deep into the lives of four biblical giants to see the "wedding garment" in action. Being chosen isn't about being perfect; it’s about being available, surrendered, and consistent. In this episode, we explore: Abraham: Why the chosen life starts with a departure and a "long obedience" in the same direction. The Apostle Paul: How a "chosen vessel" handles a total identity flip and lives blamelessly in public and private. Mary: The power of a humble "Yes" and what it means to be fully yielded to God’s plan. Anna: Why decades of quiet, consistent faithfulness are just as "chosen" as a mountain-top miracle. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Genesis 12:1–4 & 17:1 Hebrews 11:8–10 Acts 9:15–16 Galatians 2:20 1 Thessalonians 2:10 Luke 1:38 & 1:46–49 Luke 2:36–38 Colossians 3:12–14 💡 Stay Connected! Sing Together

Today, we’re talking about the power of worship, specifically, doing it together. There’s something that happens when we stop trying to handle life solo and join our voices with others. It reminds us that we aren't alone and that God is still the song in our hearts, even on the hard days. What we’re covering: Better Together: Why group worship hits different than praying alone. The Strength in the Song: How God becomes our actual energy when we’re weary. Encouraging the Room: How your voice helps the person standing next to you. The "So What?": You don’t have to have a perfect voice to have a powerful worship; you just have to show up. Today’s Micro-Habit: Sometime today, find one person, a friend, your spouse, or even a co-worker, and just listen to one worship song together. You don’t have to perform or even sing out loud; just be present in that space with someone else. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Psalm 95:1 Exodus 15:2 Hebrews 10:24 💡 Stay Connected! Just Ask

Today, we’re looking at the simple but life-changing habit of asking. We often exhaust ourselves trying to "figure it out" or "make it happen" when Jesus is standing right there, waiting for us to just bring it to Him. What we’re covering: The Self-Sufficiency Trap: Why we hesitate to ask for help. Big God, Small Details: Does He really care about the "little things"? The Door is Open: Understanding the promise of "Ask, Seek, Knock." Today’s Micro-Habit: Tonight, before you go to sleep, pick one specific thing that’s been hovering in the back of your mind, a bill, a conversation, or a worry. Ask God for help with it out loud. Don't overthink it. Just ask. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Matthew 7:7 Philippians 4:6 James 4:2 💡 Stay Connected! Walking in the Light Together

Today, we’re talking about the power of being real. In a world that rewards "perfect," Jesus invites us into something better: the light. We’re looking at why honesty isn't just about truth; it's about finally finding the connection we’re all actually starving for. What we’re covering: The Hiding Habit: Why "fine" is the enemy of fellowship. Truth + Love: How to be honest without being a wrecking ball. The Fellowship Shift: Why walking in the light changes your relationships. The "So What?": You don't have to be perfect to be loved; you just have to be known. Today’s Micro-Habit: Pick one person you trust today. When they ask how you are, give them one honest sentence. No filters, no fluff. Just the truth. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: 1 John 1:7 Ephesians 4:15 Psalm 85:10 💡 Stay Connected! Luke Chapter 13

We’ve all seen those trees that look great from a distance but never actually grow any fruit. In Luke chapter 13, Jesus gets incredibly real about what it means to be "good soil" versus just taking up space in the garden. In today’s study, we’re diving into some of the tougher sayings of Jesus. He talks about why bad things happen to people (and it’s not what you think), He heals a woman who had been bent over for 18 years, and He warns us about the "narrow door." In this episode, we’re breaking down: The Repentance Reality Check: Why tragedies should drive us to our knees, not to speculation. The Patient Gardener: How God cultivates us even when we aren't producing. Sabbath Mercy: Why Jesus cared more about a woman’s freedom than a religious rulebook. The Narrow Door: What it actually looks like to enter the Kingdom. This isn’t just a history lesson, it’s a Monday morning reality check. Whether you feel "bent over" by life’s burdens or you’re wondering if you’re actually growing in your faith, this chapter is for you. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Luke Chapter 13 💡 Stay Connected! Today for Day 4, we’re looking at Psalm 4:8, Psalm 3:5, and John 14:27. We’re learning that sleep isn't just a physical necessity, it’s an act of trust. It’s a way of saying, "God, I’m not the one holding the world together. You are. In this episode: The difference between "world peace" and the peace Jesus actually gives. Why we can sleep even when things aren't "fixed" yet. Today’s Micro-Habit: The 5-word sentence to say before you turn off the light tonight. You’ve learned how the enemy works. Now it’s time to live it. In this final week of The Blueprint of Victory, we move from understanding to action. What does it actually look like to follow Jesus in the middle of a normal day? In Ephesians 6, Paul gives a simple answer: put on the armor… and stand. We break down what that means in real life, how truth looks like honesty, how faith sounds in the middle of fear, and why isolation is one of the enemy’s favorite strategies. Luke Chapter 11

In this episode of our Sunday Bible Study, we sit at the feet of Jesus in Luke 11 to learn the one thing the disciples actually asked Him to teach them: how to pray. We often treat prayer like a formal ritual or a last-minute emergency flare, but Jesus reveals it as a heartbeat of intimacy and persistence. From the gut-level simplicity of the Lord’s Prayer to the awkward (but relatable) parable of the "Midnight Friend," this chapter completely reframes our relationship with the Father. We’re moving past "religious" phrasing and into a bold, "shameless" kind of faith that knows God isn't just a judge, He’s a generous Father. In this episode, we explore:The "Pater" Connection: Why calling God "Father" changed everything for the disciples. The Midnight Knock: What a grumpy neighbor can teach us about God’s willingness to answer. The Finger of God: How Jesus’ power over darkness proves the Kingdom of Heaven has arrived. The Inside-Out Life: Why Jesus cares more about the "cup" of your heart than the "dish" of your reputation. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Luke Chapter 11 💡 Stay Connected! Using the moment Jesus rebuked the enemy’s influence through His closest friend, Peter, we explore how well-meaning people and familiar voices can sometimes become "stumbling blocks" to our divine calling. In this episode, you’ll learn: The Instrument vs. The Source: Why the enemy uses people we love and how to separate the person from the scheme. The Three Fingerprints: How to identify the spiritual markers of Accusation, Division, and Confusion in your life. The Identity Anchor: Why a moment of failure or a wrong word doesn't define your standing with God. Join us as we learn to refuse the lie while keeping the person, ensuring we fight the real enemy and protect the people God has placed in our lives. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Matthew 16:21-23 Galatians 1:8 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Revelation 12:10 John 16:8–9 1 Corinthians 14:33 James 1:5 Ephesians 6:12 💡 Stay Connected! Ever have one of those moments where God felt... close? A prayer that got answered exactly how you asked. A worship service where you actually felt His presence. A scripture that hit you so hard you cried... And then... Monday happens. The bills are still there. The diagnosis is still real. And you're wondering, "Where did that moment go?" Daily Devotional: Tuesday: Luke 9:20-22 - Your Answer Changes Everything

You know what's easy? Borrowing someone else's opinion. Repeating what you've heard. Saying what sounds good... "Yeah, I believe in God." "Sure, Jesus seems like a good teacher." "I'm spiritual, you know?" But here's the thing: Eventually, Jesus stops asking what everyone else thinks. And He looks you in the eye and asks, "What about you?" 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Luke 9:20-22 💡 Stay Connected! Daily Devotional: Monday: Luke 9:3 - Pack Light, Trust Big

Ever catch yourself triple-checking your bag before a trip? Charger. Check. Backup charger. Check. Cash. Card. Snacks. Water. "Just in case" supplies... I'm the same way. I hate feeling unprepared. I want a backup plan for my backup plan, which is why Luke 9 makes me so uncomfortable. 📖 Key Bible Verses Mentioned: Luke 9:3 💡 Stay Connected!
