The world does everything it can to offer us substitutes for the real life which can only be found in Jesus. Why do we consistently miss out on the call to abide, unceasingly, in His grace and goodness? Jesus explains to us the type of relationship that is on offer and invites us to a deep life of abiding and meaning that the world cannot provide.

Jesus instructs the disciples to follow his example of washing each other's feet and states that serving one another leads to blessing. In this text, Jesus wields His power by taking a posture of humility, for the purpose of restoration by setting a pattern aimed at replication in the lives of His followers. This passage reminds us that nothing will stop Jesus from moving towards us and that ultimately his kindness to us is a function of his love, not our worthiness.

We all know religious people who make us not want to be like Jesus. In Mark 3, we'll see that becoming like Jesus means we get to unhitch from other people's expectations of us and sync up with a Savior who sets us free to set others free.

The Bible says a lot about what it means to be a disciple. In Matthew 5, Jesus gives 9 descriptions of a follower that are key to existing in his kingdom.

Many of us regularly feel like we are less than what is needed in any situation. In this passage, we discover that the strength is not in ourselves but in Christ.

Sometimes prayer feels like the thing we do that may or may not do anything. Jesus instructions on prayer show us that prayer connects us with God, aligns us with His purposes, and gives us access to His power.

Jesus did not call the super-gifted nor the super-devoted, His plan to rescue and save the world started with ordinary people who were willing to set aside the cares of life to wholly follow Him.

Why does the resurrection matter to you? The resurrection matters because it proves nothing can stop God's purposes, and nothing is needed from us to add to God's rescue. In life, we're used to a series of roadblocks, and we have the mentality that if we're going to overcome roadblocks, we're going to have to supply the horsepower. On resurrection Sunday, we remember that Jesus has overcome the roadblocks in our lives, and we don't have to manufacture the effort to fix what is broken in our lives; we just have to follow Him.

What is God's posture to those who have missed His mark? Jesus' triumphal entry reminds us that Jesus brings an everlasting kingdom that is available to all people because there is more grace in Jesus than there is sin in us.

Elijah believes his ministry has failed and that God should simply put him out of his misery. Instead, God shows up as a comforter, reminding us that it's not about how we start as much as about how we finish. God gives Elijah a new assignment to anoint Elisha as his successor reminding us that sometimes faithfulness is less about what we accomplish and more about who we raise up.

Guest speaker Monty Wright explores Exodus 15, reflecting on how God sometimes leads us into difficult or unexpected places; not to harm us, but to teach us trust, dependence, and deeper faith. Through the story of Israel in the wilderness, this message reminds us that the challenging seasons we face can become the very places where God shapes our hearts and reveals His faithfulness.

Elijah confronts Ahab and a nation that has prospered materially while drifting into deep spiritual compromise. At God’s command, Elijah sets the stage for a public showdown to reveal Yahweh’s supreme power and expose the false gods’ inability to hear or save. In the end, the people are called to abandon their cultural idols and return their whole hearts to the Lord.

What do we do when our obedience doesn’t bring the change and the results we want in the timing we want? We don’t quit—we keep obeying. Even through delays and detours, we trust that God is still driving, and He never wastes a trip.

What does God do when his people threaten to ruin their witness in the world and His blessing in their midst? He uses those who will listen to his voice to redirect a nation towards life.
