Follow Me: The True Vine (John 15:1-11) | Josh McIntyre
The world does everything it can to offer us substitutes for the real life which can only be found in Jesus. Why do we consistently miss out on the call to abide, unceasingly, in His grace and goodness? Follow Me: The Purpose of Power (John 13:1-14) | Nathan Goble
Jesus instructs the disciples to follow his example of washing each other's feet and states that serving one another leads to blessing. In this text, Jesus wields His power by taking a posture of humility, for the purpose of restoration by setting a pattern aimed at replication in the lives of His followers. This passage reminds us that nothing will stop Jesus from moving towards us and that ultimately his kindness to us is a function of his love, not our worthiness.

Why does the resurrection matter to you? The resurrection matters because it proves nothing can stop God's purposes, and nothing is needed from us to add to God's rescue. In life, we're used to a series of roadblocks, and we have the mentality that if we're going to overcome roadblocks, we're going to have to supply the horsepower. On resurrection Sunday, we remember that Jesus has overcome the roadblocks in our lives, and we don't have to manufacture the effort to fix what is broken in our lives; we just have to follow Him.

What is God's posture to those who have missed His mark? Jesus' triumphal entry reminds us that Jesus brings an everlasting kingdom that is available to all people because there is more grace in Jesus than there is sin in us.

Elijah: The God Who Overcomes Our Failures (1 Kings 19 - 2 Kings 2) | Nathan Goble
Elijah believes his ministry has failed and that God should simply put him out of his misery. Instead, God shows up as a comforter, reminding us that it's not about how we start as much as about how we finish. God gives Elijah a new assignment to anoint Elisha as his successor reminding us that sometimes faithfulness is less about what we accomplish and more about who we raise up.
