RUF at Ole Miss

Regardless of your beliefs or doubts, RUF is a place for you to explore Christianity and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow him in community with others at Ole Miss. We are here for the “convinced” and the “unconvinced,” the lost, the found, the burned, bored, cynical, spiritual. We invite you, no matter where you are in the process, to RUF. We meet on Wednesdays at 7:30pm in Paris-Yates Chapel.

    This week we look at Moses' intercession on behalf of his people and God's response.

    This week we look at the story of Israel and the golden calf. We discuss our habit of running after idols and what repentance unto life really looks like.

    This week we look at how we relate to God's law, and how it points us to our need for Jesus.

    This week we look at the battle of the Christian life, how God shows up, and how we find that in the story of Exodus 17.

    This week we look at how Israel grumbled with dissatisfaction even though this was right after God freed them from Egyptian slavery. We also see God's surprising response to their grumbling.

    This week we look at Israel crossing the Red Sea, and see how salvation is an act of God's free grace and not a work of our own doing.

    This week we looked at the 10 plagues that God sent as a judgment upon Egypt in order to free his people from their slavery.  We dig into Exodus 7:14-24 to see how God's mercy and justice are held in tension with one another.

    This week we look at the start of Moses' story. So much about Moses is relatable to us in our humanity, and yet, so much of his ministry is not relatable as he points us to our truer, and better redeemer in Jesus.
