The Gospel to the Most Unlikely

In Acts 8, Philip is sent away from a fruitful ministry into what looks like a desert—only to discover that God has already been at work in the heart of an unlikely seeker: an Ethiopian eunuch. This message explores how the gospel breaks through every barrier—cultural, religious, personal—to reach the most unlikely people… including us. We’ll see how the Spirit leads Philip, how Scripture points to Jesus, and how one man who had always been kept at a distance is brought all the way in. Along the way, we’ll wrestle with the uncomfortable truth that we often get in the way of the gospel’s reach—either by offering inclusion without Jesus, or by adding barriers Jesus never asked for. Ultimately, this passage invites us to follow the Spirit into “desert places,” trust the power of the gospel, and go to the unlikely, seeing no one as too far for Christ to save.

    The Death of Death

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom — but we will be changed. In a moment. In the twinkling of an eye. At the last trumpet. Paul closes this great chapter with a mystery revealed and a taunt unleashed: O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory? The last enemy has been destroyed. This Sunday we stand at the end of the story — and hear what it means for Monday morning.

  3. 372

    The Resurrection of the Body

What kind of body is a resurrection body? Paul meets the skeptic's question head-on, drawing on seed and harvest, earthly and heavenly, the first Adam and the last. What is sown perishable will be raised imperishable. What is sown in weakness will be raised in power. This Sunday we sit with one of Scripture's most remarkable promises — that the body matters, and that God intends to redeem it fully.

  4. 371

    Standing Strong

Christ is risen — and that changes everything about the future. As the firstfruits of resurrection, his rising guarantees ours. Every enemy, including death itself, will be placed beneath his feet. But this isn't just future theology — it has present weight. How we live, what we risk, and whether we hold on all flow from what we believe about what is coming. This Sunday we consider what it means to be truly immovable.

  5. 370

    The Danger of Denial

Some in Corinth were quietly denying the resurrection of the dead. Paul's response is unflinching: if there is no resurrection, everything falls apart. Faith is empty. Sins are unforgiven. The dead in Christ are gone forever. Paul pulls no punches because the stakes are total. This Sunday we examine what is actually riding on the resurrection — and why denial is never a small thing.

    The Preeminent Gospel

Before Paul can talk about resurrection, he has to nail down the gospel itself. In the opening verses of 1 Corinthians 15, he hands the Corinthians back what was handed to him — a gospel of first importance, rooted in history, confirmed by witnesses, and powerful enough to transform even the least likely of apostles. This Sunday we ask: are you holding firmly to this gospel, or has it slowly lost its footing in your life?

  9. 366

    Completed In Joy

Where is all of this headed? We’ll end by fixing our eyes on the promise that God is bringing us to completion—with great joy—and how that future shapes how we live today.

  10. 365

    Creating a Movement of Joy

The mission of the church doesn’t stop at our front doors. This week, we’ll see how God calls His people to multiply joy by sending, supporting, and investing beyond themselves into new places and new people. From the early church to today, the gospel moves forward when God’s people live with open hands—releasing resources, raising up leaders, and trusting the Lord to work beyond what they can see.Church planting is one of the clearest ways we live this out. As we invest in the future of gospel work throughout our city, we participate in something bigger than ourselves—seeing neighborhoods reached, lives transformed, and more people come to know the joy of salvation. This is how the church multiplies joy: not by holding tightly, but by faithfully sending and celebrating all that God does.

  11. 364

    Building a House of Joy

Why does what we build matter? We’ll explore how prioritizing God’s work creates space for more lives to be changed and why every seat represents a story.

  12. 363

    The Joy of Open Hands

What if generosity is actually the pathway to joy? This week we’ll discover how God designed us to experience life not in holding tightly, but in releasing freely.

  13. 362

    The Trap of Closed Hands

Why does more never feel like enough? Jesus exposes the lie of accumulation and shows us how chasing security apart from God ultimately leaves us empty.

  14. 361

    The God Who Gives Everything

What does God’s generosity look like? This week we’ll see how the gospel begins with a God who gave everything for us in Christ—and how that becomes the foundation for our own generosity.

  15. 360

    Easter • 2026

We often look for a king who will meet our expectations—one who brings power, control, and immediate change. But in Jesus, we find something entirely different. This Easter, we’ll see how the King we needed is the One who humbled Himself, took on flesh, and became obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross. And because of that, God has highly exalted Him above every name. The resurrection declares that this humble King is now the reigning King. Come celebrate the risen Jesus—the King we didn’t expect, but the One we desperately needed.

  16. 359

    Palm Sunday • 2026

What happens when God’s people ask for something He never intended for them? In 1 Samuel 8, Israel demands a king—not out of faith, but out of a desire to be like the nations around them. What they wanted felt right, but it came with consequences they couldn’t see. This Sunday, we’ll explore how our hearts can drift toward trusting in what feels secure, visible, and familiar instead of trusting in God as our true King. And ultimately, we’ll see how even in our misplaced desires, God was preparing the way for the King we truly need—Jesus.

  17. 358

The Holy Spirit: A Gift That Cannot Be Bought

As believers scatter, they carry the gospel into new places. In Samaria, the message of Christ brings joy, healing, and transformation—but also exposes counterfeit faith. This passage shows us the power of the true gospel and the necessity of discernment, reminding us that the Spirit cannot be manipulated and that genuine faith always leads to repentance and submission to Christ.

  18. 357

Rejecting Shadows to Embrace the Substance

What appears to be a devastating setback becomes God’s means of advance. Persecution scatters the Church, but it cannot silence the gospel. This brief passage reminds us that God often uses hardship to propel His mission forward—and that suffering never has the final word in God’s redemptive plan.

  19. 356

The Weightiness of Gospel Growth • Acts 6:1-7

Stephen’s powerful testimony traces God’s faithfulness throughout Israel’s history and confronts hardened hearts with the truth of Christ. Though rejected and killed, Stephen’s death is not a defeat—it is a testimony to the risen Christ standing in glory. This passage challenges us to remain faithful even when obedience leads to suffering, trusting that God is at work beyond what we can see.

    God Preserves Unity

What appears to be a devastating setback becomes God’s means of advance. Persecution scatters the Church, but it cannot silence the gospel. This brief passage reminds us that God often uses hardship to propel His mission forward—and that suffering never has the final word in God’s redemptive plan.

  22. 353

    Obey God, Suffer Well

Opposition intensifies as the apostles are arrested and threatened—but God’s mission moves forward. In this passage, we see a Church that refuses to obey man rather than God. Empowered by the Spirit, the apostles rejoice even in suffering, confident that Christ is worth any cost. This text calls us to bold obedience rooted in joy, not fear.

  23. 352

The Church the World Cannot Ignore

As the apostles continue to proclaim Christ, God confirms their witness with signs and wonders that draw many to faith. The Church grows not through spectacle, but through faithful presence and visible power. This passage shows us how God uses ordinary obedience to display extraordinary grace, drawing the broken and the needy into His healing presence.

  24. 351

    Acts 4:32-5:11 Tim Harris

The Spirit produces deep unity and radical generosity among God’s people—but also calls His Church to holiness. This passage contrasts sincere faith with deadly deception, showing us that God’s grace cannot be treated casually. The same Spirit who unites and blesses also exposes hypocrisy. Here, we are reminded that the Church is not merely a community of shared values, but a holy people living before a holy God.

  25. 350

    The Emboldened Church

When the early church faced opposition, they did not retreat or retaliate—they prayed. In Acts 4, we see a church anchored in God’s sovereignty, united in purpose, and bold in witness. Rather than asking for safety, they ask for courage, trusting that the same God who reigns over rulers empowers His people to speak with boldness. This passage reminds us that prayer is not our last resort, but our first response—and that God delights to strengthen His Church for faithful witness.

  26. 349

Spirit Gifted - Equipped for One Another

The Spirit doesn’t just transform individuals—He builds a body. In Romans 12, Paul shows us that every believer has been given gifts, not for self-promotion, but for serving one another. This week, we’ll see how the Spirit equips the Church with diverse gifts that work together for mutual encouragement and growth. There are no spectators in the body of Christ—every member matters, and every gift is essential. The Church thrives when we serve in humility and love.

  27. 348

Spirit Formed - Becoming What We Are

The same Spirit who brings us to life also shapes us over time. In Galatians 5, Paul reminds us that the Christian life is not about earning righteousness, but about walking in step with the Spirit. This week, we’ll explore how the Spirit forms Christlike character in us—not by willpower, but by grace. As we walk by the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit becomes visible, not as a checklist, but as evidence of a transformed life. This is about becoming what we already are in Christ.

    Here I Stand

Peter and John face opposition for proclaiming Jesus boldly, yet they remain steadfast, filled with the Spirit. Even under pressure, the early Church trusts God’s sovereign power over earthly rulers. This week, we’ll explore how God calls His people to courage, unity, and reliance on Him, showing that Christ’s reign is unshaken even when the world resists His Church.

  33. 342

    The Spirit-filled Church

The early Church models life together marked by devotion to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, prayer, and worship. Their unity and generosity reflect the transforming work of the Spirit in their hearts. This week, we’ll explore how God calls His people to live in authentic community, serving one another, rejoicing together, and bearing witness to Christ’s reign in the world today.

  34. 341

The Spirit’s Work Testifies To His Finished Work

Peter stands boldly before the crowd, proclaiming Jesus as Lord and Messiah. Through the Spirit, God’s Word pierces hearts, bringing conviction, repentance, and new life. This week, we’ll see how the gospel transforms listeners into followers, forming the first community of the Church—a people called to live under Christ’s reign and empowered to bear witness to His saving work.

Before the Fire Fell: How the Church Prepared for Pentecost

In our message from Acts 1:12–26, we’ll see how Jesus’ disciples readied themselves for the Holy Spirit’s promised empowerment. We’ll discover the church preparing itself through prayer, the promises of Scripture, and alignment with God’s covenant purposes. Are you readying yourself for the Spirit’s enablement?

    Habit of Solitude

This Sunday, we continue our Holy Habits series by looking at the Habit of Solitude from Lamentations 3:22–28. In a noisy world that constantly demands our attention, God invites us to wait quietly before Him. Jeremiah reminds us that His mercies are new every morning, and it is good to sit in silence with the Lord who is faithful. Solitude is not withdrawal for its own sake, but a discipline that teaches us to rest in God’s presence, hear His Word more clearly, and find strength to walk faithfully in a distracted world. Join us as we learn to embrace the stillness where God renews our hearts.

    Habit of Community

The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone. Hebrews calls us to “encourage one another daily” and to “consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” This week, we’ll see how the habit of community protects us from drifting, strengthens us in faith, and helps us hold fast to Christ together. God has given us one another so that we might endure to the end.

Marriage: A Living Parable Of The Gospel

Marriage is more than a social contract—it is a divine picture frame holding the masterpiece of the gospel. In Ephesians 5, Paul reveals that the love of a husband for his wife and the respect of a wife for her husband are designed to reflect Christ’s sacrificial love for His church and the church’s joyful submission to Him. This “mystery” points beyond itself to the eternal union between Jesus and His people. Whether married or single, we are all called to see marriage as a living parable that proclaims the beauty, holiness, and steadfast love of Christ.

  47. 328

    The Family

From the beginning, God created humanity not only in His image but for union—with Himself and with one another. In this opening week of our United series, we’ll see how God established the family as the foundational community for His purposes in the world. Marriage, gender, work, and unity aren’t cultural constructs—they’re sacred gifts, rooted in creation and designed to reflect the beauty of the Triune God.As we open to Genesis, we’ll discover that God's design for the family isn't just about the home—it’s about His glory, His mission, and His kingdom.

Behind the Curtain: God’s Invisible War for His Beloved

What if God’s silence is not His absence, but the tremors of an unseen spiritual war? Daniel 10 reveals both the inexpressible glory and the cosmic conflict of the spiritual realm invisible to the natural eye. Be encouraged to pray with fresh faith and see your struggles in a new light, knowing you are beloved and that the hosts of heaven are fighting for you, even when you cannot see it.

  50. 325

    God’s Redemptive Plan

What if your waiting isn’t a detour but part of God’s plan? Daniel didn’t just pray for rescue he clung to God’s promises in the middle of exile. In Daniel 9, we’ll see how God’s answer went far beyond the moment Daniel was in. It pointed to a greater rescue one that comes through Jesus. This Sunday, come be reminded that in the silence, the delays, and the long waits God is still working, still faithful, and still saving.
