Season 4 Ep 1: The Death of Apologetics
What if the strongest argument for God isn't an argument at all? In the Season 4 premiere of Safe Space with Jaxon, I reflect on becoming a father and how witnessing the birth of my son changed the way I think about faith, certainty, and belief. For years, I listened to sermons, debates, apologetics, and competing claims about God. Yet none of them impacted me the way holding my child for the first time did. This isn't an episode about proving God. It's about wonder. It's about reaching a place where your beliefs no longer require validation from a religious tribe, a theologian, or an online debate. It's about recognizing that truth doesn't need endless defense, and that personal experience can sometimes speak louder than the most polished argument. I also explore why I can still identify as a Christian while disagreeing with much of modern Christianity, and why I believe the fruit of the Spirit has no denomination, political party, or social club attached to it. Love is love. Kindness is kindness. Compassion is compassion. It's either bearing good fruit or it isn't. Join me for a conversation about fatherhood, faith, freedom, and the miracle of life. 🎙️ Safe Space with Jaxon 📚 Author of Only Us 🎧 Available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music #SafeSpaceWithJaxon #DeathOfApologetics #FaithAfterFatherhood #ChristianHumanist #Spirituality #Fatherhood #OnlyUs #Podcast #Deconstruction #WonderOverCertainty Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Bonus Flashback Episode (season 2)- "Ripple Effect- Jaxon & Live Audience"
What if the moments that shaped your life didn’t begin with you? In this live audience talk at Unity by the Bay, Jaxon shares the deeply personal story behind his book Only Us, including the panic attack that changed everything, the family revelation that sent him into an existential crisis, and the unexpected journey through therapy, grief, faith, and healing that followed. Through stories, reflection, and the concept of “The Ripple Effect,” Jaxon explores how trauma, choice, love, and even the lives of those who came before us can shape the person we become. This is not a sermon. It’s not a debate. It’s an invitation to reflect on the ripples that have shaped your life—and the ripples you are creating for others. Season 3 Ep 6 Van Life & Freedom From Propaganda” (w/ Caitlin Pyle)
What happens when the life you were taught to trust… starts to unravel? In this episode of Safe Space w/ Jaxon, I sit down with Caitlin Pyle—known to many as The Cait Awakening—a certified coach helping people navigate religious deconstruction and reclaim their identity beyond high-control belief systems. With a growing audience of over 214K on TikTok and 246K on Instagram, Caitlin has become a voice for those questioning everything they once held as absolute truth. We start with her transition into van life—what it meant to walk away from structure, certainty, and comfort—and what freedom looks like on the other side. From there, we go deeper. We unpack the early foundations of Christianity, including the Council of Nicaea, and explore how doctrine was shaped through both spiritual conviction and political influence. We also wrestle with bigger questions: Why does Paul hold so much authority in modern Christianity? What does it mean to build theology from an experience we can’t verify? And how much of what we believe today is rooted in truth… versus tradition? This conversation isn’t about tearing anything down—it’s about creating space to question, to feel, and to rediscover what’s real for yourself. If you’ve ever felt the tension between what you were taught and what you’re beginning to see… This episode is for you. 🎙️ Safe Space w/ Jaxon 📘 Only Us by Jaxon Phoenix — Available now on Amazon (Kindle, Paperback, Audible) 📲 Follow Jaxon: @jaxonphoenix88 📲 Follow Caitlin: @thecaitawakening Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Season 3 Ep 5 "Noahide Path" interview with Tassja Cadoch & Jaye Naomi
In this episode of Safe Space w/ Jaxon, we sit down with Tassja Cadoch and Jaye Naomi following their viral appearance on the Dr. Daf Show, which has reached over 200,000 views on YouTube. Rather than revisiting the debate, this conversation goes deeper. We explore what it was like for them sharing that platform together, how they navigated the dialogue in real time, and what they believe was misunderstood about the perspective they brought. Jaye also opens up about her personal journey into Judaism—what led her to step away from Christianity, the questions she could no longer ignore, and the moment everything began to shift. We also break down the Noahide path—what it is, what it isn’t, and how it’s often misunderstood. More importantly, this episode challenges the tension between Judaism and Christianity, asking a bigger question: Is it possible to move beyond division and begin building from what we actually share? This is a conversation rooted in honesty, reflection, and understanding. — This episode is for you. 🎙️ Safe Space w/ Jaxon 📘 Only Us by Jaxon Phoenix — Available now on Amazon (Kindle, Paperback, Audible) 📲 Follow Jaxon: @jaxonphoenix88 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 3: Ep.1) — Wrong Team (Interview w/ April Ajoy)
What if… we got it wrong? Not just small details. Not just interpretation. What if we were taught to believe we were on the right side… the right team… the ones who had truth, clarity, and certainty…But somewhere along the way, we never stopped to ask—who told us that?In this Season 3 premiere of Safe Space with Jaxon, Jaxon sits down with content creator, podcast host, and author April Ajoy to unpack their shared upbringing in Evangelical Christianity, their journeys through deconstruction, and the tension of re-examining everything they once held as absolute.April, known for her sharp and thoughtful humor, uses her platform to expose harmful, toxic, and sometimes just weird traits of American Evangelicalism—while still holding onto a more honest and inclusive expression of faith. She is the author of Star-Spangled Jesus: Leaving Christian Nationalism and Finding a True Faith, available on Amazon, and co-host of the Tim & April Show on YouTube. Across platforms, she’s built a strong and growing audience with over 13.8K YouTube subscribers, 207K Instagram followers, and over 406K on TikTok.From childhood faith to unraveling belief systems… to questioning the literal interpretation of dreams and visions in the Bible—Abraham, Moses, and Paul—we wrestle with a deeper question:What if the dream was wrong? Not meaningless… but misinterpreted. And if that’s the case… what does it mean for everything built on top of it?This conversation isn’t about tearing faith down. It’s about asking better questions…learning how to discern truth beyond tradition…and ultimately confronting a question many are afraid to ask:What if we’ve been defending the wrong team this whole time?—🎙 Follow Safe Space with Jaxon on Spotify for weekly episodes📖 Only Us — available now on Amazon (Kindle, Paperback, and Audible)📲 Instagram: @jaxonphoenix88📺 YouTube: Tim & April Show📲 Follow April: @aprilajoy Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 2:Ep 13) "Ripple Effect"- Live Audience
There are moments in life where something shifts… not loudly, but deeply. That’s the ripple. In this live speaking engagement at Unity by the Bay, Jaxon explores the power of the ripple effect—how a single shift in awareness can quietly transform not just your life, but the lives you touch. We don’t always see the impact of our words, our presence, or our healing in real time. But every choice we make sends something outward—into our relationships, our communities, and beyond. This isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about becoming aware… and choosing what kind of ripple you want to leave behind. So ask yourself:What are you putting into the water?—📖 Only Us — Available now on Amazon, Kindle, and Audible📲 Instagram: @jaxonphoenix88🎙️ Podcast: Safe Space w/ Jaxon Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 2: Ep. 12) The Illusion of Naming the Unnameable (w/ Keith Giles)
What if the moment we gave God a name… we lost something? In this episode of Safe Space with Jaxon, Jaxon sits down with best-selling author, speaker, and Heretic Happy Hour co-host Keith Giles for a thought-provoking conversation on humanity’s need to define the Divine.Keith Giles is the author of the seven-part Jesus Un series and the SOLA series, and has been featured on CNN with Anderson Cooper, Coast to Coast Radio, USA Today, BuzzFeed, and John Fugelsang’s Tell Me Everything. His recent Quantum Gospel works—exploring texts like the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Mary—have become Amazon best-sellers, continuing to challenge how we understand faith, Jesus, and the nature of God.From ancient golden calves to modern religious language, this conversation explores how names, labels, and doctrines can quietly become the very idols we think we’ve left behind.Have we mistaken the name for the reality?Together, Jaxon and Keith unpack:Why humans feel the need to name and define GodHow theology and religious identity can become modern-day idolsThe deeper meaning behind “the kingdom within”What it looks like to move beyond labels and live out loveAt the center of this conversation is a simple but challenging idea:Maybe God was never meant to be named—only experienced. And maybe love was never meant to belong to religion at all. This episode is for anyone questioning, deconstructing, or reimagining their understanding of faith, spirituality, and what it truly means to live out love without borders.📘 Only Us: Searching for Identity & Humanity by Jaxon Phoenix (foreword by Keith Giles) available now on Amazon📲 Follow Jaxon:Instagram: @jaxonphoenix88YouTube: Awakening to Life’s Mirage Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 2: Ep. 11) God Bless My Frenemy
In this spontaneous bonus episode, Jaxon reflects on something many of us struggle with but rarely talk about openly—what happens when friendships end.Sometimes the people who once meant the most to us slowly become strangers… or even feel like enemies. But what if forgiveness isn’t pretending nothing happened? What if it’s simply acknowledging that you cared deeply—and that the hurt you carried eventually turned into bitterness? In God Bless My Frenemy, Jaxon explores the uncomfortable truth that healing sometimes means letting go of the resentment we’ve been holding onto. Not to excuse what happened, and not to rekindle the relationship—but to free ourselves.Because sometimes the most honest form of peace is this:You’re no longer my friend…but you’re no longer my enemy either.Just a human being who once mattered.🎙 Safe Space with Jaxon releases new episodes every Friday, exploring creativity, faith, philosophy, and the human experience.📘 Book: Only Us: Searching for Identity & Humanityhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/1964252431📲 Instagram: @jaxonphoenix88 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 2: Ep 10) Christianity’s Golden Calf: Worshipping the God of War
In this episode of Safe Space with Jaxon, Jaxon challenges listeners to wrestle with a difficult question: what happens when faith communities begin defending power, violence, and nationalism instead of the values they claim to stand for?Drawing from the biblical story of the Golden Calf, Jaxon explores the possibility that modern believers may be tempted to worship something other than truth, compassion, and justice—replacing the spirit of love with the defense of systems, ideologies, and political loyalties. This conversation invites listeners, especially those within American evangelical culture, to examine whether silence in the face of injustice is neutrality… or complicity.Because if faith claims to stand for the protection of life, the question becomes unavoidable:Who—or what—are we really worshipping?—🎙 Safe Space with Jaxon releases new episodes every Friday.📘 Jaxon is also the author of Only Us: Searching for Identity & Humanity, available now on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/dp/1964252431📲 Follow Jaxon on Instagram for clips and updates:@jaxonphoenix88 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 2: Ep 9) Small Talk Makes Me Cringe...
“Hey, how are you?”“Good… you?”We’ve all done the dance. In this episode, Jaxon reflects on why small talk can feel exhausting — especially when it becomes a mask people wear instead of showing up authentically. Why do so many of our conversations stay on the surface? And what would the world look like if we felt free to express what we’re actually feeling… without being rude, cynical, or emotionally reckless?Jaxon explores the tension between social politeness and emotional honesty, and invites listeners to imagine a culture where people can process their thoughts and emotions openly — with respect, maturity, and compassion.Because maybe the goal isn’t to eliminate small talk…Maybe the goal is learning how to be human without hiding.🎙️ Safe Space w/ Jaxon — New episodes weekly on Spotify.Follow Jaxon Phoenix:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jaxonphoenix88YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@AwakeningToLifesMirage📖 Only Us: Searching for Identity & Humanityhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/1964252431/ Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 2: Ep 7) When The Cameras Stop..
What happens when the instructions no longer seem to align? In this episode of Safe Space w/ Jaxon, we explore the tension between “the manual” and “the Manufacturer” — between ancient writings and the Divine they point toward. Using a simple furniture-assembly analogy, we unpack what it means to follow instructions faithfully… and what happens when something just doesn’t fit.Have we elevated the manual over the source?Joining me for this conversation is Leslie Nease — life coach, writer, and host of the Honoring the Journey Podcast, where she helps people navigate spiritual deconstruction and major life transitions with self-compassion and curiosity. Many first met Leslie as “Sister Christian” on Survivor: China (2007). What happens when the container you trusted cracks? In this episode, Jaxon reflects on childhood memories of soup, comfort, and safety — and how, as adults, we often mistake the bowl for the source. When belief systems collapse, when institutions fracture, when certainty falls apart… do we lose faith altogether? Or did we just lose the container that held it?This episode explores grief, systemic power, communal belonging, and the courage it takes to stop worshipping the bowl. It’s not an attack on people. (Season 2: Ep 5) AA Meeting: Agnostics Anonymous
In this episode of Safe Space with Jaxon, Jaxon opens the floor for an unconventional kind of meeting—one for those who don’t claim certainty, but still choose to believe.“AA Meeting: Agnostics Anonymous” is a reflective space for people living in the tension between doubt and devotion. For believing agnostics—those honest enough to say “I don’t know,” yet observant enough to look at the world around them and sense that this all came from somewhere. Not through proof or dogma, but through awareness, pattern, and presence. This episode explores the idea that healthy religion can offer a framework to begin with—a language, a structure, a starting point—but that all frameworks are inherently limited. Discernment, not blind loyalty, is what allows us to grow beyond them. To hold belief with humility. To remain open to learning more. To recognize that reverence doesn’t require certainty, and faith doesn’t have to end where questions begin. It’s a conversation about releasing fear-based faith without abandoning spirituality altogether. About choosing belief as a conscious posture rather than an inherited obligation. About living ethically, staying curious, and allowing wonder to coexist with doubt. No altar calls. No arguments.Just space for honesty, humility, and lived fruit.New episodes of Safe Space with Jaxon drop every Friday. To explore these themes more deeply, check out Jaxon’s book Only Us, available on Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and Audible formats. You can also find more reflections on YouTube at Awakening to Life’s Mirage, and follow Jaxon on Instagram @jaxonphoenix88. (Season 2: Ep 4) When We Assume..
Assumptions are efficient—but they’re rarely honest. In this episode, When We Assume…, Jaxon explores how unasked questions turn into false narratives, how silence gets misinterpreted as guilt, and how control often disguises itself as certainty. This is a reflection on one-sided relationships, forced forgiveness, emotional autonomy, and the quiet power of reclaiming your energy. Not every distance is betrayal. Not every ending needs hostility. And not every misunderstanding is worth correcting. This episode is for anyone learning the difference between peace and self-neglect—and choosing themselves without apology.About JaxonJaxon is a published author, handpan musician, and host of Safe Space w/ Jaxon. (Season 1:Ep 12) Ancient Mistakes
Just because something is ancient doesn’t mean it’s right. In this episode, Jaxon challenges the assumption that age equals truth. Ancient texts, traditions, and teachings didn’t fall from the sky untouched—they were written by people with motives, contexts, power structures, and blind spots. And if we’re willing to question modern systems, we have to be brave enough to evaluate ancient ones too. This conversation isn’t about dismissing faith. It’s about discernment. It’s about learning to ask why something was written, who benefited from it, and how it’s being used today.Jaxon also turns the spotlight toward the present—highlighting that there are pastors and leaders doing it right right now. People living the message through action, humility, and service—without building personality cults or demanding loyalty to a single man at the top.Maybe the future of faith isn’t about defending old mistakes.Maybe it’s about amplifying present integrity. (Season 1:Ep. 11) Trapped Under Our Own Narratives
Technology keeps advancing—faster than most of us are comfortable with. Cars drive themselves, AI learns at an exponential rate, and instead of asking how to use these tools wisely, we often default to fear. But fear isn’t really about technology. It’s about agency. In this episode, Jaxon explores why the real human struggle has never been access to information, but the ability to interpret it correctly. From using AI as a thinking companion rather than a threat, to examining how humans misread each other in real time—let alone ancient texts translated, edited, and reinterpreted across centuries—this conversation challenges the idea of certainty, especially religious certainty.Jaxon questions biblical inerrancy, not to provoke, but to expose the impossibility of a mistake-free, human-handled text. If humans are fallible—and history proves we are—then our confidence in perfect interpretations may be the real delusion. The episode closes with a haunting allegory: five construction workers trapped beneath rubble, conscious, waiting, listening, hoping. A story about innocence, randomness, interpretation, and the narratives we cling to when control is gone. This isn’t an episode about rejecting faith, technology, or tradition. It’s about learning how to think, not just what to believe—and choosing stories that move us toward awareness instead of fear.Listen. This is a conversation about identity, liberation, and what happens when you finally step outside the box you were raised in.I talk about:• why “Christian” became a performance instead of a path• how religion can disconnect us from our own humanity• letting go of spiritual policing• learning to see God outside the system• becoming a good human before becoming anything elseIf you’re deconstructing, awakening, questioning, or rebuilding from scratch… you’re not crazy. You’re just human — finally.Welcome to Safe Space w/ Jaxon.New episodes every Friday. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 1:Ep 5) Keep F*cking Talking
This episode of Safe Space w/ Jaxon is a reminder to stay awake. While the nation is busy arguing over distractions and tribal politics, the real story is sitting in plain sight. The Epstein files didn’t come out of nowhere — and they don’t disappear just because the media looks away. There are people in power who benefit when we’re divided. If we’re fighting each other, we’re not looking at them.So this episode is me saying:Keep f*cking talking.Keep questioning.Keep paying attention.Because silence is how corruption wins.Truth only survives when we refuse to shut up.💬 Drop your thoughts — especially the uncomfortable ones. I read every single one.🎧 Spotify: Safe Space w/ Jaxon📺 YouTube: Awakening to Life’s Mirage📸 Instagram: @jaxonphoenix88Subscribe. Follow. (Season 1: Ep 4) When Awakening Becomes Embodiment
In this episode of Safe Space w/ Jaxon, I dive into a question that hit deep: “At what point does awakening stop being about escape and start being about embodiment?”This one’s about love — not the kind we preach, post, or perform… but the kind we practice. The love that shows up when the feelings fade, when the mirror gets honest, when awareness has to move from your head into your hands.✨ Pour something slow. Breathe deep. Let’s talk about embodying love — not just talking about it.💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments — I read every one.🎧 Listen on Spotify: Safe Space w/ Jaxon📺 Subscribe on YouTube: Awakening to Life’s Mirage📸 Follow on Instagram: @jaxonphoenix88 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. (Season 1: Ep 3) Why I Left Evangelicalism for Jesus
In this episode of Safe Space w/ Jaxon, I open up about why I left Evangelicalism — not to abandon Jesus, but to actually follow Him. I talk about how Evangelicalism became like ivy, slowly choking the life out of true spirituality in its pursuit of power and control. This one’s about learning to hold compassion for those still caught in the system — realizing that being brainwashed also means being wounded. It’s about navigating my anger with the state of the world while still believing we’re heading toward an awakening… a moment when eyes finally open.💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments — I read every one.🎧 Listen on Spotify: Safe Space w/ Jaxon📺 Subscribe on YouTube: Awakening to Life’s Mirage📸 Follow on Instagram: @jaxonphoenix88Pull up, subscribe, and join the conversation — we’re just getting started. (Season 1: Ep 2) Handpan w/ Faint Alan Watts Murmurs (Dreamlike Background)
Pour something warm. Close your eyes. Let it drift. This session is carried by the resonance of the handpan, while a faint, indistinct echo of Alan Watts lingers in the background—not spoken to be understood, but felt like a distant thought. His voice is more atmosphere than message, a soft hum behind the melody, allowing the handpan to guide the inner journey.Perfect for late-night reflection, journaling, meditation, or simply existing in stillness.🎧 Best with headphones — hear the space between the notes📸 IG: @jaxonphoenix88🌀 YouTube: Awakening to Life’s Mirage Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
