Seek HIM First: A Come, Follow Me Podcast for Kids

No matter how old you are, YOU can develop a relationship with Heavenly Father. He wants to hear from each one of us because He loves us so much!

This is a peaceful bedtime scripture episode to help your sweet kiddos fall asleep feeling calm and safe.

In today's episode we talk about how life has lot of different seasons and how to find joy is whatever season we are in right now. We just need to remember that God is with us through out all of it!

Would you rather have gold or wisdom? Today we’re learning why Proverbs says wisdom is worth more than gold and how we can make wise choices every day!

It can be so easy to get upset and say something mean when something is hard or when someone is mean to us. In today's scripture, Proverbs 15:1, we learn that "a soft answer turneth away wrath." Which means choosing to respond in a calm way can help a hard situation become calmer.

I'm so excited to start a new week in our Come Follow Me study! We are kicking off the week learning what wisdom is and where it comes from!

I always get excited about a new week, especially when it involves a new set of scriptures to study. I have loved studying the book of Psalms with you all, but I am really excited for what we will be learning about this week.In this episode we will learn about how making decisions in life is not always easy, in fact, it is usually pretty hard. Thankfully we have a loving Heavenly Father who wants to guide our path, if we will turn to Him. I hope this episode is helpful to your family as we begin this week of studying together!

Somehow we have finished our study of the book of Psalms already! I hope you have felt the Spirit as we have discussed some of the amazing verses in this incredible book of scripture! I know for me it's given me a greater love of this book and I want to turn to it more and mediate upon it more!

Every day is such a gift from God and we talk about that on this episode! What makes the day even more special is that today is my 40th's birthday!

In this episode we talk about what to do when we are scared. You also hear a lot of interesting space facts from my son Boston :) BUT there is a powerful truth in the statement "When I am scared I can trust the Lord." I hope this reminder blesses you!

Our family has been loving the verses from this week's sections of scriptures for so many reasons. Specifically my boys love all the mention of their favorite birds :) Today's episode we talk about the beautiful lesson that comes from Eagles when it comes from getting strength from the Lord.

Imagine my surprise when I was reading the scriptures and came across Psalms 102:6 that talks about an owl! I was excited because my boys LOVE owls. This was a fun episode to record and learn that if we are lonely like an owl we can pray for help and support.

We are finishing up the book of Psalms this week in our Come Follow Me studies. I hope you and your family have enjoyed studying these amazing chapters! It can be scary for kids to stand up for other people who are being treated badly. In this episode we talk about how God wants us to help take care of others who may be hurting.

Sometimes people are unkind to us and it hurts our feelings. In this episode we talk about what we can do in those situations.

With school starting in many places recently I wanted to record some lessons that kids can use going back to school, starting homeschool again or just use in every day situations. Go be a friend to someone today!

Today we talk about a beautiful scripture about how God is always there to help us. How blessed are we?!

I loved talking to my boys about creating. It's amazing to think about the One who created the Universe and everything in it gave us the ability to create in our own ways.

As kids, it can be hard to be still! Today we talk about why it is important for us to take the time to be still, so we can learn more about God!

A quiet time with the Psalms to help kids slow down, feel peaceful, and remember that Jesus is always with them. Perfect for bedtime, rest time, or anytime they need a little comfort.

Today we talked all about how the Lord can help bring light into our lives! My challenge for you all is to say "The Lord is My Light" whenever you see a light! :)

This week, we are going to learn about the story of Job and the many different trials he had and then the amazing way he turned to God during them. This is not an easy to story to hear, but I hope this story version helps you and your kiddos understand the amazing lessons from this story.

Making big decisions can be hard! We learn from Esther what she did when she had to make an important decision, pray!

Sometimes it might feel sad if we feel like no one notices all the good things we do, but we can feel comfort that God does! We learn about how Mordecai was recognized for something good he did!

I loved this episode. It's so amazing to think how Heavenly Father has a special purpose for each one of us. We talked about how Heavenly Father prepared Esther to be Queen when she was and how He is working on preparing us for special things too.Also! Wish our sweet Tommy a very special birthday today!!

Today we talk about being brave even if we are scared, just like Queen Esther!

Today we learn about how Mordecai helped helped his family member, Esther! We relate this to helping our families and how we can show Jesus's love that way!

This is one of my favorite stories in the Old Testament! I can't wait to dive into this book together with you and my boys. Follow along this week as we learn more about how brave Queen Esther was!

Waiting for something special can be so hard! Maybe you have to wait for your birthday, Christmas, or to go on a fun vacation. Today we will learn about a group of people who had to wait a LONG time. Come learn with me and my boys about what they learned in their waiting.

This week, we're learning about the Jewish people returning home to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple after many years away. Even when the work was difficult and others tried to stop them, they trusted Heavenly Father and kept going. Join us as we discover what Nehemiah meant when he said, "I am doing a great work," and learn how we can stay faithful, work hard, and keep following Jesus, even when life gets tough.
