Ep#69 The Lord of the Rings: The Ring Poem
Episode 2 of our Holiday Interlude dives into the Ring Poem — one of the most spiritually revealing passages in The Lord of the Rings. Using only The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Doug explores how the poem reveals the spiritual identity of Elves, Dwarves, and Men, and what their Rings of Power actually do in Tolkien’s world. Discover how the Rings amplify spiritual nature, why some races resist corruption and others fall into it, and how Tolkien subtly shows the unseen forces at work without ever explaining them directly. This episode is a key step in recovering a supernatural imagination — both for reading Tolkien and for understanding the unseen realm in our own world. In this episode, Doug examines the famous Ring Poem: “Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky…” Far from being just lore, this poem functions as a map of the spiritual order of Middle-earth. By looking closely at each line, Doug highlights the unique spiritual identities of Elves, Dwarves, and Men — and shows how the Rings of Power amplify what is already true within each race. In this episode you’ll learn: - Why the Elven Rings preserve, heal, and resist decay - How the Dwarven Rings amplify desire for gold and the ability to create wealth - Why the Rings given to Men lead to domination, and corruption, - How the One Ring embodies the will of the Dark Lord Doug also draws on poetry from The Hobbit to show how Tolkien embeds spiritual identity in song and story. By the end of the episode, listeners will recognize the Rings of Power not as magical devices, but as spiritual amplifiers that reveal — and distort — the identity of those who use them. This is a foundational episode for learning to “see” the spiritual forces moving in Tolkien’s world, and for recognizing similar patterns in our world and in Scripture. #68 Seers See The Lord of the Rings - Holiday Interlude - Introduction
Welcome to a special Holiday Interlude of the Seers See Podcast: Seers See the Lord of the Rings. In this mini-season, Doug explores how J.R.R. Tolkien’s world can retrain us to think supernaturally—helping modern readers recover the enchanted, pre-materialistic imagination that both Tolkien and Scripture assume. Episode 1 lays out the purpose of the series: - Why Tolkien helps us reawaken a supernatural worldview - How The Lord of the Rings subtly reveals unseen spiritual forces - Why Dr. Cory Olsen (The Tolkien Professor) inspired this approach - How this mini-season bridges into Season 2: Seers of the Bible with Emily in 2026 If you’ve ever wanted to see the spiritual dimension within Tolkien’s world—and recognize similar patterns in our own—this episode is your invitation to step through the door and into the unseen realm of Middle-earth. In this opening episode of our Holiday Interlude, Doug explains why Tolkien is the perfect guide for anyone seeking to understand the supernatural world. Tolkien writes with a medieval imagination—a worldview where spiritual beings, providence, enchantment, corruption, and hidden powers operate behind the visible world. Drawing on insights from Dr. Cory Olsen, “The Tolkien Professor,” Doug shows how The Lord of the Rings trains modern readers to notice the spiritual activity Tolkien shows but never over-explains. This approach mirrors how Scripture invites us to recognize unseen forces shaping events, identity, and calling. This episode sets the stage for the mini-season, which will explore: - The Ring Poem (Episode 2) - The Prologue as ancient historiography (Episode 3) - Gandalf’s spiritual authority, providence, and the Nazgûl (Episode 4) - Tom Bombadil, nature spirits, singing as spiritual warfare, Caradhras, and more Join us as we rediscover the supernatural imagination Tolkien intended—and learn to see the world around us with new eyes. Ep#67 The Sixth Sense: A Seer’s Journey | A Commentary Track by Emily and Doug
In this special commentary episode, Doug and Emily watch and discuss M. Night Shyamalan’s classic film The Sixth Sense (1999)—a story about a young boy who sees spirits and the counselor who tries to help him. Through the lens of the Seers See ministry, they explore the film’s deeper meaning: 👁️ How Cole Sear’s terrifying visions mirror the experience of real-life seers who see into the spiritual realm. 🕊️ How understanding the purpose of the gift transforms fear into peace. 💔 Why secrecy and isolation magnify torment—and how truth and compassion bring freedom. ⚰️ How Bruce Willis’ character represents unresolved spiritual business and redemption. 🌅 How M. Night Shyamalan uses Christian imagery, grace, and mystery across his films to re-enchant a disbelieving world. Join the conversation as Doug and Emily connect film, faith, and the supernatural, showing that when understanding replaces fear, peace reigns in your house. 📚 Learn More 🔗 Read the book: Seers See: Instruction on Seeing into the Spiritual Realm 🔗 Visit: SeersSee.com 🔗 Listen on Spotify / Apple Podcasts

Ep#66 – The Grimm Truth of Nature Spirits and Media | Seers See Podcast with Doug & Emily
Our culture is re-enchanting the world—but without Christ at the center. From Grimm to The Witcher, Supernatural to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, modern media revives the pagan imagination and Kabbalistic mysticism, offering spirituality without holiness, mystery without moral order, and transcendence without redemption. In this episode, Doug and Emily continue their deep dive into the unseen realm—examining how today’s entertainment shapes our ideas about nature spirits, magic, prophecy, and spiritual reality. 🎭 In This Episode: - Grimm, Supernatural, Buffy, The Witcher, Carnival – media that reintroduces pagan and Kabbalistic worldviews - Foucault’s Pendulum and The Redwing Saga – clashing worldviews engage the lure lure and danger of hidden knowledge - What is magic—and how does it differ from the miraculous? - The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings – how Lewis and Tolkien re-enchanted the imagination - Prophecy, poltergeists, and the spirits that “can’t cross water” - Pharaoh and the waters of judgment – biblical parallels to modern myths - The Enlightenment’s “disenchantment” of the world—and our culture’s craving to reawaken it - Native Americans and declarations to their dead and deities 🕯️ A Culture Re-Enchanted—But Christless Our modern storytellers are rebuilding a spiritual world, but one rooted in pagan and Kabbalistic ideas: - Nature as divine and self-powered - Magic as neutral force, shaped by will - Salvation through secret knowledge or bloodline - A cosmos filled with beings—but absent its Creator This worldview promises transcendence but ends in confusion—just as Umberto Eco warned in Foucault’s Pendulum, where seekers of hidden truth become enslaved by the myth they created. The biblical worldview offers something far greater: “The universe is enchanted because God is present—not because it is divine.” Creation is alive, but it worships, not commands. Spiritual power flows from communion with Christ, not manipulation of unseen forces. True prophecy and true wonder come from walking with the Holy Spirit, not chasing secret knowledge. 🕊️ Doug & Emily remind us: “You don’t need to fear the spiritual realm—or imitate it. You just need to walk with God in it.”

Ep#65 Nature Spirits, Stoicheion, and Seers
Many seers report seeing spirits in nature — in trees, rivers, mountains, or storms. Some Christian voices call all of this witchcraft. Others embrace pagan ideas of “elementals.” So what’s really going on? In this episode, Doug and Emily begin to unpack the biblical, historical, and spiritual realities behind nature spirits. We’ll look at what ancient cultures believed about “elementals,” how Scripture uses the word stoicheion, and what it means that creation “praises God.” - We also discuss nature spirits in pre-Christian Europe and medieval imagination - Stoicheion and the biblical worldview of “elemental powers” - How creation worships by functioning as God designed... but there are other ways to read those passages. - Why fear-based, hyper-religious teaching about nature spirits distorts truth - How false prophets minister to spirits, but true prophets minister to humans We shares frustration with modern Christian fear-mongering online, and together we respond with a Kingdom of God mindset: “Learn to hear the Holy Spirit, know the Scriptures, and find freedom in Christ. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” Whether you’re a seer, a skeptic, or simply curious about how creation reveals God’s glory, this episode invites you to see the world the way Jesus did — alive with meaning, yet under His authority. We unpack a lot, and decide Doug is left wanting to think about what was discussed, to conclude the conversation on nature spirits next week.

Ep#64 Using Drugs for Spiritual Experiences: What the Bible Says about Artificial Altered States
Are mystical experiences from drugs the same as Spirit-led visions? In this episode of the Seers See Podcast, Doug and Emily tackle the sensitive and timely topic of drugs, spiritual perception, and the Kingdom of God. Together we explore: - Personal stories of spiritual curiosity, sobriety and naïveté about drugs. - The modern drug landscape: marijuana legalization, ayahuasca retreats, “toking the Holy Ghost,” neo-pagan revivals, and why today’s culture is drawn to altered states. - Ancient Near Eastern practices - Evidence of mind-altering drug use in The Hebrew Bible? - New Testament clarity - Theological Reflection: --Substances = manipulation, counterfeit, deception. -- Spirit = God’s initiative, trustworthy, transformative. - Hope for today: If you’ve experimented with drugs for spiritual reasons, there’s freedom in Christ. - Authentic intimacy with God replaces counterfeit highs. 0:10 Intro 03:00 Our Stories 12:50 Modern Context 25:00 Ancient Near East & the Old Testament 54:00 Dealing with the shortcut of using drugs for spiritual purposes. 58:00 Appropriate Use of Drugs, hallucination vs real spiritual visions 01:04:20 Pharmakeia and Witchcraft 01:07:00 How do you get off the drugs? ✅ Key takeaway: The Bible acknowledges that substances can alter perception — but warns against them as counterfeit pathways. True revelation and mystical vision come only from the Spirit of God. 🔔 Subscribe for more episodes on: - Seeing into the spiritual realm - Biblical prophecy and seer experiences - Discerning truth from counterfeit spirituality 📖 Resources: Seers See: Instruction on Seeing into the Spiritual Realm by Doug Overmyer Articles and resources at SeersSee.com

Ep#61 Did Witches Really Curse Charlie Kirk?
Megyn Kelly reported that the Jezebel website hired witches on Etsy to curse Charlie Kirk just days before he was assassinated. Two days before the assassination, Jezebel published an article detailing the reasons why they hated Charlie Kirk, how to find a witch to cast a curse, and then chronicled how they hired a witch who attempted to unleash the forces of darkness on Charlie. The witch proved the spell was cast and stated it was successful. The night before Charlie was shot, he and his wife Erika, deeply troubled by these reports, prayed together with a friend regarding their concerns. After the assassination, Jezebel claimed the article was satire and removed it from the site. Etsy similarly removed the spell store of Priestess Lilin, who is referenced in the article as casting a spell. The witch is now using the publicity for profit as a false prophet. Can you really buy a curse online? Are curses real? What does the Bible say about this? Can Christians be cursed? How should Christians respond to witches among us? In this episode of Seers See Podcast, Doug and Emily take a deep dive into the modern fascination with witchcraft and curses—yes, even the ease of purchasing them on sites like Etsy. We unpack Priestess Lilin’s claims of taking “responsibility” for the effectiveness of her curses. We further explore Scripture’s teaching on curses, including the ancient concept of the “Evil Eye." Then we look at Jesus’ surprising teachings on curses and how to respond to witches and others who may hate Christians, which turn the power of curses on its head. 1:00 Witches Hired to Curse Charlie Kirk 9:00 Etsy Spells 18:00 Don’t hate witches. 20:20 Galatians 3, the Curse of the Law 22:45 Curses in the Bible, including the Evil Eye 32:00 “The Internet has turned us into Accidental Witches.” 33:30 Christians Can Be Cursed. 40:30 Jesus explains what attracts curses 52:00 Dealing with church hurt. 57:00 How to respond to Pagan Bookstores in our Midst?

#62 The Powers and Passover: Pagan Worldview Clashing with Christian Worldview
Seers See Podcast | Powers and the Passover: Worldview Matters In this episode, Doug and Emily dive into the appendix “Powers and the Passover” and quickly explore why worldview is everything. We contrast the pagan worldview described in Romans 1—where humanity exchanges truth for lies and God hands people over to destructive behaviors—with the Christian worldview, which begins with knowing who God is and who we are as His image bearers. That foundation leads to right living, peace, and freedom. Along the way, we unpack: * The dangers of monism and Gnosticism and how they still shape modern culture, resulting to so many societal ills. * How the Christian worldview restores true identity and purpose. * Reflections from Peter Jones’ The Other Worldview: Exposing Christianity’s Greatest Threat. * Why setting your worldview early matters for how you live and engage society. * A look at Charlie Kirk’s role as a missionary voice, seeking to communicate and defend the Christian worldview in a culture slipping into pagan patterns. * How you view God determines how you view sex and sexuality If you’ve ever wondered why ideas about God, humanity, and truth matter so much—or why distorted worldviews lead to distorted lives—this conversation is for you. Blasphemy at the Olympics? A Seers See Response
Drag Queens re-enact the Last Supper at the 33rd Olympiad? On purpose or by accident? What's really going on? Join Doug and Emily as they discuss. Peeranormal episode that discusses Isaac Newton and John Dee: https://peeranormal.com/podcast/peeranormal-21-live-from-branson/ I got a little bogged down in the sacred numbers discussion, and almost cut it all out. But I decided to leave it in, as rough as it is, simply for this: the Greek god Chronos claimed control over time and measurements. However, God truly controls time and measurements, based on his priorities. However, don't read too much into these numbers. They are interesting. Based on David Flynn's "Temple at the Center of Time." Fall of Jerusalem = 587 BCE. The Temple was 587 miles from Babylon. 7*77 = 539 BCE. Fall of Babylon. Mina (1000) Mina (1000) Tekel (20) Uparsin (500) = 2,520. 7*360= 2520. A sacred cubit is 25.20 inches. 2520*pi = 7,916.813 (in miles, the average diameter of the earth). NASA studies list the Earth's average diameter at 7917.479 miles. The modern measurement is off by .666 of a mile greater than the sacred calculation. Moon's diameter = 6x360 in miles. Greek scholar Eratosthenes (ca 275-195 BC) calculated the circumference of the earth as 2520*100= 252,000 stadia, or 24,583.9 miles, suggesting 2520 was a sacred number in ancient cultures. However, this is 287 miles too short. Average distance from the earth to the moon is 77.77xPI to the 7th power. The farthest the moon is from the earth is 2520*100 in miles. Moon's diameter is 2520-360 in miles. Jericho (city of the moon) was circled 7 times by Israel before it was destroyed. 7x360 degrees=2520. Circumference of the earth is 360*pi*pi. Queen Elizabeth's seer and geographical advisor John Dee, generated the length of a mile, although it's unclear the precise way he did this. He probably started with sacred numbers, 2520, 7, 360, 12, PI, and arrived at 5,280 feet for a mile. 5280 is a permutation of 7*PI to the 5th power. For more on these calculations, see David Flynn. Final thoughts: Certainly God's creation and timing has God's numerical stamp throughout it, and part of natural theology uncovers this beauty. And it's also clear that the dark spiritual powers use these same numbers to signal their own agendas. 2,800 years from the first Olympiad to the 33rd in 2024. 2800 / 2520= 1.111111....

Seers in History? Part 1: Seers See the Book Discussion
We thought this would be the shortest episode so far. Turns out, this may be the most controversial episode we've yet recorded, and we barely scratched the surface of the chapter. From finding lost drawings of the Vatican in the library stacks, to The Acolyte, to how occultism/paganism leads to the blurring of genders and erasing of biblical sexuality, and how sexual sin relates to idolatry, to just who is cheering right now in your life - the angels watching or the demons watching? We even get into faith when prayers aren't answered, to which translation you should read and how... and so much more. This episode went on a path we weren't expecting.
