In our series, we are learning about what it means to walk with God by looking at Abraham’s life. Today, we reach the time where Abraham’s wife, Sarah, dies. We see how he handles this event in his life; which brings us to the point that everybody has to pass through death. Death is the “Last Enemy” for all humanity. How should we, as Christians, view death? Listen and learn.

The past couple of weeks, Pastor Kyle has been focusing on how Abraham’s belief in God’s promise to make him a father of a great nation has had an effect on his actions. Today, Pastor Kyle’s takes a deep dive into what he believes are the two greatest promises of God and how that impacts how we live today.

In the past few weeks, Pastor Kyle has been discussing Abraham’s faith and trust in God – ultimately to the point of trusting His promise regarding his descendants through his only son (at that time), Isaac. In order to trust someone, we need to believe that they are trustworthy and faithful. Today, we take a deeper look into how Abraham can trust God and how & why we can also trust Him, too.

As we continue with Pastor Kyle’s series on the life of Abraham, we see how Abraham has learned to have COMPLETE trust in God’s promises. Trust is basic to obedience. Last week, we saw that Abraham had full obedience to God. Today, we will see how he was able to obey God due to his complete trust in Him. So what does this have to do with us, today? Last week, Pastor Kyle discussed Abraham’s full obedience to God in his offering of his son, Isaac. His obedience to God was the result of his absolute surrender to God. This week, Pastor Kyle delves into the meanings of “absolute surrender” and “full obedience”, a specific example of what it looks like when it DOESN’T happen, and how it might it apply to us.

As Pastor Kyle continues looking at Abraham’s walk of faith, we come to the place in his life where God gives him his “Final Exam”. Essentially revealing Abraham’s answer to the question “Who do you love more? God or Isaac?” For us today, the choices may be God or ???. Find out why this is important and what God has done for us already.

Today, Pastor Kyle takes a slight detour from Abraham’s life and looks at 4 key areas where Christianity and Islam differ as well as how Islam started.

Have you ever experienced “empty”? This could be an empty gas tank, an empty bank account, or even an empty feeling in your life (the parting of a loved one/close friend, job loss, etc). Today, as Pastor Kyle ponders the Resurrection, we learn how the Empty Tomb of Jesus can fill any emptiness in our lives. Note: 2 minute video near beginning of message only had background music.

As we continue to look at the life of Abraham, we see that he gained a reputation as one who walked with God. Join Pastor Kyle as he explores how this reputation came to be, what it means to walk with God, and how it may apply to us today. Issues of Integrity, Honesty, and Humility play a huge role in this.

What does it mean to live by the “flesh” as opposed to the “Spirit”? Join Pastor Kyle as he discusses this issue while exploring the life of Abraham and how we can learn from his decisions/experiences from so long ago.

Have you ever drifted? Meaning in the sense of drifting away from a goal that was set at a prior time. We may set a goal/aim/project plan/etc and subsequently get distracted and//or turned aside (slightly); and, before we know it, we’ve drifted away from our goal. Today, Pastor Kyle refreshes the vision for Grace Point Church so that we can “re-sharpen” our focus on our common goal. Listen in to find out the what and how.

Many of us have had to deal with promises that were made to us, but were subsequently broken. Sometimes a promise appears to be “broken” when in fact, we’ve grown impatient while awaiting its fulfillment. Join Pastor Kyle as he explores the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham and Sarah to have a son of their own. This promise was made 25 years prior to the birth of Isaac. In the meantime, Abraham’s trust in God was put to the test. What can we learn from Abraham’s experience? Listen to find out.

Have you ever had your well-laid plans upended by an interruption of some sort? Most people have experienced this at some time in their life as it is common to all. However, we must realize that our interruptions are God’s appointments. Appointments for “what?” you may ask. Often times it is an appointment for additional instruction/spiritual growth – although we may not see it that way at the time. Pastor Kyle returns to looking at Abraham’s life and the choices that he makes. Today, we dive into a “repeat” event in his life and what it tells us about trusting God and how God still takes care of Abraham despite his moral failings. There is much we can learn from this, so listen in.

Sometimes we have to hear what we need to hear and not necessarily what we might want to hear. Warning: Sin is ALWAYS deceitfully destructive. It destroys people and relationships. In our culture, we hear that the actions that God calls sin are actually celebrated. How should Christians deal with these issues? What is Jesus’ view of this and what would He do?
