Good Shepherd Sunday

Lord, we are desperate for you.

We are “anointed ones,” anointed with the Holy Spirit, Christians, who live by the light of Christ, walk by faith.

What the Church teaches about Mary is about Jesus.

Joseph did not see himself to be worthy to be the foster father of the Son of God, it is why he wanted to divorce Mary quietly, but he did what the angel said and He took them into his home. We also are to come to God in humility like Saint Joseph, we are not worthy. “Lord only say the Word and my soul shall be healed.” The Word is Jesus. He is with us, Emmanuel, He is the Savior, the Healer. Let us take Jesus and Mary into our home, into our hearts!

The Bloom in the desert, the disposition of heart in knowing Jesus, a Joy that nothing can take.

We should never stop thanking our God!

The Cross is our trophy, victory over sin and death.

The cost of following the Lord, to take up our cross daily.

Humility, Humility, Humility!

At a spiritual crossroads- to choose the narrow door, on the narrow path.

“God, I’m running for you heart, til I’m a soul on fire. Let me burn for you again.”

Where your treasure is, where your heart is!

Jesus came to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable

Persistent in prayer!

The language we all can speak the language of reason and love.

Christianity is personal but it is not private. We are to pray and work in brining the Good News of Jesus to others

In order to become great we have to become little

The men dressed in white said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky.” That is get going, no time to waste, to go and love and serve the Lord and others.

As we celebrate this Memorial Day Weekend we pray for the repose of the souls of the faithful departed of our service men and women, who fought for our freedom, so that we can praise the Lord, as our Responsorial Psalm says, “O God, let all the nations praise you.” It is only in the Spirit, the Counselor, who Jesus says the Father will send in His name, that we are even able to praise the Lord. We are grateful to our service men and women who have defended our freedom so that our nation can praise the Lord.

Jesus gives us a new commandment to love one another as He loves us. This is His Last Will and Testimony for us.

Good Shepherd Sunday. “My sheep hear my voice and I know them.”

Jesus loves us and meets us where we are, but His love does not keep us there, that we have to stretch out our arm and let Him take us where He wants us to go.
