On today's episode, Dr. Aaron Davis answers the following question: "You said something about repenting and seeking forgiveness as individuals and as a nation. What does it look like for the United states to repent and seek God's forgiveness? The prophets certainly made it clear that the nation of Israel often needs to repent and seek God's forgiveness. But we as a nation are not in a covenant relationship with God. We are not the new Israel. In fact, we are a secular republic. The U.S. constitution isn't a covenant with God; the name of God doesn't appear. In short, we're not the biblical Israel. Can we still apply to the U.S. the language of repentance that comes out of the covenantal relationship between God and Israel?" Links Nativity's website - Link
