Don't Believe Everything You Feel--Emotional Agility in Real Life

Tammy Smith has had a long career in the healthcare industry. She is an RN, BSN, wellness expert, a Certified Health Coach, a Certified Personal & Executive Coach, and the founder of Live Well, Lead Well Coaching. Her background in nursing and whole-person wellbeing allows her to bring a practical, real-life approach to driving meaningful health outcomes. During our conversation, we talk about what is emotional agility, why emotions matter in the workplace, and what are some things that impact our ability to be emotionally agile. Once we know our emotions, feelings, and values, we can use those as signals and tools for more self-awareness. How to protect your home from rodents without using poison

Our home environment is our sacred space. Over and over, I share with this audience various ways to bring peace and comfort into our homes with my knowledgeable guests. What if our home had visitors that weren't welcomed into our spaces such as rats and mice? During this episode, you will have more information about rats and what attracts them to your home from my guest, David Dorfman, the co-founder of Rodents Stop, a Southern California rodent control company. What he says doesn't just apply to his state. It applies to any state. Finding Presence Through Cooking and Mindfulness

For some people, gardening and art are activities that bring joy. For others, it's cooking--the creativity, the process, and the end result. One of the areas of our health is our home cooking, and after many years of cooking, sometimes the joy is gone, and the routineness becomes, well, a routine. What if you could find presence through cooking and enjoy the simple acts of chopping vegetables or sauting garlic? My guest, Chef Naina Bhedwar, knows a lot about cooking. It wasn't her first career. In fact, it's her THIRD career both teaching cooking classes, customizing cooking parties, and owning a business called Feed Your Peace--a mindfulness program where she teaches people to find mindful moments throughout the cooking process. FIND Naina:[email protected]/kesarkitchenwww.instagram.com/kesarkitchenhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/chef-naina-bhedwar-63677b230/**CORRECTION TO THE CONVERSATION: Naina mentioned that research has shown that 7 seconds of neutral presence or attention on the physical aspect of an emotion as it shows up in the body, can help it dissipate. She confused this with the 7-second theory on memory and retention. Jill Bolte Taylor's somatic theory quotes 90 seconds, not 7, which makes a lot more sense. FIND Susie:Email: [email protected]: Susan St AngeloFacebook: Susan St Angelo Coaching LLCInstagram: @stangelosusan
