The Soul’s Retreat: Walking with Gratitude Through Gain & LossOn March 16th, we gathered for the second practice of The Soul’s Retreat, exploring the Eight Worldly Winds, specifically gain and loss, and how gratitude can be our anchor in times of change. Through meditation, reflection, and soul-centered practices, we examined how attachment to gain and resistance to loss create suffering—and how gratitude allows us to meet both with grace.In this practice, we softened into the truth that all things shift—what we receive today may not remain, and what we lose may open space for something new. When we approach both gain and loss with a heart of gratitude, we cultivate a steady presence, free from grasping or fear. This is the practice of equanimity, of meeting life’s inevitable changes with open hands and trust in the unfolding.Our next Soul’s Retreat practice will be on April 6th at 1:30PM PST. The Soul’s Retreat
Welcome to The Soul’s Retreat! This is our debut practice shared today, the first Sunday of March. We meet twice a month for a virtual meditation practice together via Zoom. Each week I’ll be uploading the recordings from our practices together (aside from the participant sharing). Our practice begins with a teaching/topic followed by a guided meditation practice and community connection through sharing our experience (sharing is always optional). The recordings will include an introduction and closing recorded post-practice. I invite you to join us for our live practices each month, I’d love to share this with you in real time!In an effort to bring our practice off the yoga mat and into a holistic way of living and learning our experience, I’ve created this space to connect and deepen our practice together. The first Sunday of the month we will tie in Yoga Sutras or the Eight Limbs of Yoga into our monthly theme. The second practice of the month will bring in a Buddhist teaching weaving together a holistic practice, connecting the body, mind and spirit. Asana, our physical yoga practice is just one piece of the wholeness of our practice. I hope that you’ll join me on this journey of self-discovery and study. Our monthly themes will be inspired by the Dharma Healing Practice which brings together Reiki and Recovery Dharma teachings. Grounding Meditation
This meditation was inspired by a channeled session with a recent client who was experiencing lower back pain and was curious about energy healing. She had been reading about it, and after a recommendation, she decided to give it a try. In this guided practice, you may notice elements that were unique to her experience. Take in what resonates with you and leave the rest behind.During 1:1 client sessions, I tailor/channel meditations to the specific needs, goals, and energetic imbalances of the individual. When the root chakra is blocked or out of alignment, we may feel disconnected from ourselves and the world around us. This can manifest as a sense of instability, fear, or uncertainty, and physically, it may show up as lower back pain, tension in the legs and hips, or issues with digestion and circulation.In states of shutdown or freeze, we might feel emotionally numb, fatigued, or unable to move forward in life. Energy may feel stuck, and we may find ourselves withdrawing from experiences that once brought us joy.
