Stand in the Truth

Confused. Wandering. Abandoned. Troubled.In John 14:12-31, JESUS ministers to each of these heart conditions and reminds His disciples that although He is leaving, they are not being abandoned. Through prayer, the HOLY SPIRIT, adoption into GOD's family, and the peace of CHRIST, believers can walk faithfully through uncertainty.The Christian life is not merely doing things for GOD. It is walking with GOD.

As Jesus prepares His disciples for His departure, He addresses their fear and uncertainty with one simple command:"Let not your heart be troubled."In this study, we examine Christ's answer to anxiety, uncertainty, suffering, and fear. We discover that peace is not found in controlling circumstances but in trusting the One who remains faithful through every circumstance.

In John 13, JESUS shows His disciples what true love and servanthood look like. Knowing the cross was near and knowing Judas would betray Him, JESUS still loved His own to the end.This teaching looks at CHRIST washing the disciples’ feet, the humility of true service, and the call to do what He has shown us - not merely understand it.

In the final moments of His public ministry, Jesus speaks with clarity and urgency.“My soul is troubled”… yet He moves forward in obedience. This passage reveals the tension we all feel—fear, uncertainty, and the desire to avoid difficulty. But Jesus shows us the right response: not escape, but surrender.He also draws a clear line:Walk in the light… or remain in darkness.There is no middle ground.

In John 12, we see a powerful contrast.Mary pours out something costly at the feet of Jesus—an act of love, humility, and devotion. Judas looks at the same moment and calls it a waste.Same act. Completely different hearts.This passage reveals something deeper: what we value exposes what we truly worship. What is set apart for the Lord carries meaning—not because of the object itself, but because of the heart behind it.

“My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?”Psalm 22 gives us one of the clearest pictures of the cross—long before it ever happened. What begins as a cry of deep anguish unfolds into a prophetic window into the suffering of Jesus Christ.In this teaching, we walk verse-by-verse through Psalm 22, seeing both the human experience of feeling forsaken and the unchanging truth of who God is. Even in the darkest moment, the Psalm reminds us: God is still holy, still present, and still at work.

There is no resurrection without the blood. Hebrews 9 shows us—His own blood secured eternal redemption, once for all. Everything we have comes by the blood… for us.

John 11 shows that Jesus is not limited by our timelines or our understanding—what looks like delay is often the setup for God’s glory. In raising Lazarus, Jesus reveals that He is not just able to help in life, but has authority over death itself.

Jesus reveals Himself as the Good Shepherd—not like the false shepherds of Ezekiel 34, but the One God promised who would seek, know, and care for His sheep. He calls them by name, lays down His life for them, and secures them in a way no one else can.

A man who once could not see comes to recognize who Jesus truly is. Meanwhile the religious experts, certain they understand God, reject the very Light sent to reveal Him.

Jesus brings His argument to its peak, revealing His true identity—not just as the Son of God, but as God Himself—when He declares, “before Abraham was, I AM.”

Often quoted, rarely attributed to the actual source, the LORD Jesus says that only in HIM shall we know the truth, and that shall make us free.

In such a darkened world, we need LIGHT. The LORD Jesus says HE is the Light of the World, and to remain in the light, we must remain in HIM.

What does it mean when JESUS calls Himself the Bread of Heaven? How can we eat this bread and then never hunger?

How do we become children of GOD? We receive that right, as we receive the CHRIST.

We begin working our way through the Book of John where John, starting off in the form of Genesis 1:1, makes the case that JESUS is GOD.
