Such A Time As This

* As Christians, how do we hold onto faith when God’s answers don’t match our desires or our timeline?

“They’re always watching” is a reminder that our everyday choices matter. Our children are gifts from God, and as parents, we’re called to guide them toward knowing and loving Him. Childlike faith means stepping forward without hesitation, trusting wholeheartedly that Jesus is Lord. When that spark for Jesus is alive in our children, we shouldn’t dim it—we should nurture and encourage it. And when they’re eager to be at church, don’t hold back. Often, the hardest part is simply getting there.

What does spending time with Jesus in daily chaos look like? Time with Jesus doesn’t always have to be a formal meeting. In the Word, in the car, shower, cooking dinner, or coffee in the morning, You can have your dose of Jesus anywhere at anytime. Don’t make time with Jesus hard. He doesn’t require much, He just wants your heart.

Forgiveness means putting our pride aside. We often want to be right, standing our ground and refusing to back down until we “win.” But that stubbornness can cost us dearly—damaging friendships and relationships, and if we’re not careful, leaving us isolated.So what does the Lord teach about forgiveness? In Matthew 6:14–15, we’re told that if we forgive others their wrongs, our Heavenly Father will forgive us. But if we refuse to forgive, we should not expect to be forgiven ourselves.

We need to stop trying to take control and act on our own desires, instead of seeking God first and trusting His plan. Join Jessica and me as we share what we believe that looks like.
