Have you fully committed your life to Christ? Today, Pastor Terry emphasizes Paul’s instruction to present our lives as a living sacrifice to God. If you look outside right now, you’ll probably see a tree. God provides water, sunlight, and carbon dioxide for that tree to thrive and do its job! When storms rage, it can stand strong! When we think of how God has led US through some tough storms, we can see His goodness in providing what we need to thrive as well! In today’s message, Pastor Terry will remind you that God will provide! He gives the very plants everything they need; how much more will He provide for you?!?!

Jealousy has always been something I’ve thought of as bad. Jealousy can be so detrimental to our walk with Christ and our satisfaction in Him. In today’s message, Pastor Terry will redefine what jealousy can mean for a Christian and what it means for you! Your life is SO full of God’s grace and goodness, and people should be able to see that! When bad things happen (as they do to all people), your response should be so Christ-like that it makes people envious and curious about what, or rather who, you have!

Christianity is all about being sent! Jesus was sent by God, the disciples were commissioned and sent by Jesus, and now we, too, are sent by Jesus! In today’s message, Pastor Terry will show you your responsibility to go out and share the gospel! God has already proven His faithfulness through all the life experiences and real stories in the Bible; From people surviving lions, walking through the sea, and raising the dead, He was with them through it all, and He will be with you too!!!

In my experience, people tend to overcomplicate the gospel; they complicate Jesus Himself, and they complicate religion as a whole. Thankfully, Jesus simplifies His expectations and relationship with us, while not taking from His vast goodness and overwhelming faithfulness! God cares that we know Him, so He’s designed Christianity to be simple! In today’s message, Pastor Terry will share that following God is simple, but God is far beyond what we can comprehend!

Sincerity is only important and successful when it is met with knowledge and faith. We need both knowledge and faith to be truly sincere and effective. In today’s message, Pastor Terry will give the example of gravity and reality. If you simply say, “I have faith that I can fly,” and then jump off a building, you’ll be met with reality. You must be knowledgeable and real, while having faith in God! That can really be a difficult thing to understand and navigate, so allow God to guide you in real faith!

What would it say about God if, before time even began, He decided who would be saved and who would spend eternity separated from Him—no choice, no response, just preplanned outcomes? That idea can feel troubling when you really sit with it. Today, Pastor Terry will tell you about a God who desires relationship, who calls, invites, and responds. Love isn’t forced, and it isn’t one-sided. God’s heart is for people, not against them. You’re not a preset outcome; He’s reaching for you, even now.

God chose Israel to be His people, knowing full well they would stumble, wander, and fall short again and again. It wasn’t based on their perfection; it was rooted in His promise. And in the same way, He’s chosen us. Not because we always get it right, but because His love is steady even when we’re not. Pastor Terry will explain to you today that God doesn’t choose you expecting perfection. You may feel disqualified by your mistakes, but they didn’t catch Him off guard. You’re still chosen, still loved, still His.

We chase after a lot of things hoping they’ll last—relationships, success, feelings—but so much of it fades or falls short. God’s love doesn’t. It doesn’t weaken over time, doesn’t shift with our failures, and doesn’t walk away when we do. It’s constant, steady, unshakable. Imagine God clocking out, kicking His feet up, maybe putting up an “Out of Office” sign for the day. It sounds ridiculous, but sometimes we live like that’s possible. The truth is, God never stops working for our good. There’s no pause, no break, no moment where He steps away. Pastor Terry will tell you today that even when you don’t see it, God’s moving. God is always active, never absent. You might feel stuck or forgotten, but He’s still at work. He’s working all things together for your good.

Isn’t that a wonderful thought? The Holy Spirit is like the hug of the Father. We can know in our heads that God loves us, quote the verses, and believe the truth—but still miss the depth of experiencing it. There’s a difference between understanding love and actually feeling it wrap around you. Pastor Terry will explain to you today that truth isn’t just meant to be known; It’s meant to be received. God doesn’t just want you informed about His love; He wants you to encounter it, because His love changes everything.

There’s a real battle happening inside us—the pull of our sinful nature and the life of the Holy Spirit within us. And when we still struggle, it’s easy to get down on ourselves. We think, “If I’ve accepted Christ, shouldn’t I be completely controlled by the Spirit by now?” But growth isn’t instant; it’s a process. Today, Pastor Terry will tell you that the struggle itself is evidence that something new is alive in you. You’re not failing because there’s a fight; you’re fighting because God is at work. He’s not done with you.

It’s so easy, when we mess up and stumble, to feel defeated and start condemning ourselves. One mistake turns into a weight we carry, replaying it over and over. But that’s not the voice of God. Scripture tells us there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Pastor Terry will encourage you today that conviction points you forward, but condemnation drags you down. You may have fallen, but you’re not finished. You’re not defined by your worst moment; you’re covered by His grace and called to keep going.

If someone says there's a candy bar in the pantry and we can't have it, what does that make us want to do? It makes us want to find the candy bar and eat it! That’s exactly what the law does with sin. It points it out, even stirs something in us, but it doesn’t save us from it. Knowing the rule doesn’t remove the desire. Today, Pastor Terry will share with you that the law is a mirror, not a cure; it reveals the problem but offers no power to fix it. We don’t need more rules; we need a Savior who saves us through grace.

We spend so much of our lives trying to measure up, trying to follow rules well enough to feel right. But there’s a truth we don’t always stop to consider, and it’s what Pastor Terry is telling you today. When someone dies, the law no longer has any claim over them. And Scripture tells you something radical: when Jesus died, you died with Him. The old system that held you accountable, that condemned you, lost its authority. You’ve died to the law, but in Christ, you’ve been raised into freedom, alive in grace.

When you become a believer and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you become a slave to righteousness. We look at slavery as inherently negative. But if you think about being a slave to something positive, it changes. In today’s message, Pastor Terry reminds us that we’re all slaves to something. In our fallen state, before knowing Christ, we’re slaves to this world, sin, selfishness, and things that do not lead us to life and flourishing. Jesus is the path to freedom and hope!

We’re all prone to looking for loopholes. Take the little child who’s playing with a toy, where they put wooden shapes into the right-shaped holes. Some of the shapes fit into holes that aren’t the right shape. And yet, when all the blocks are in the container, the child celebrates victoriously. Today, Pastor Terry teaches that some Christians treat God’s grace as a loophole. They figure that what they do doesn’t matter because it’s all covered by grace. But do you continue sinning against someone you truly love?

Jesus’ death on the cross is impossible for us to understand fully. How did God come to earth as a man? How does one man’s death save all of humankind? Many of our questions will remain a mystery until we get to ask them face-to-face with Jesus. But in the meantime, Pastor Terry encourages us in today’s message to remember that we are so much better off because of Jesus’ sacrifice than we ever would’ve been in an unfallen Garden of Eden. God made a way for us to be co-heirs to the Kingdom of Heaven.

We have all been in a situation where we think we could have done better. Maybe it was when we saw that toddler throwing a tantrum. Or maybe that player lost the game, missing that last-second shot. Or how about when a coworker or classmate misunderstood the assignment and completed the work incorrectly. We can be so arrogant and prideful. Today, Pastor Terry reminds us that sometimes we even do this with Adam, the first man who ever lived. “Surely I wouldn’t have disobeyed the Lord.”

Do you remember the first time you saw a magic trick that blew your mind? Maybe it was that time a magician told you to hold 2 foam balls, then tapped your hand, and you suddenly had 3 foam balls. How did he do that? Well, today, Pastor Terry reminds you that, as amazing as the foam ball trick is, how much more amazing is it that the Holy Spirit lives in you?! That is no small thing! When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit takes up residence in your heart and mind! Simply amazing!

Have you ever had the privilege of meeting someone of great authority? Maybe it was the President of the United States? Or the King of another country? There’s an air of decorum that lets you know you’re in the vicinity of greatness. You’re probably dressed to the nines, your hands are clammy, and you strive to make a good first impression. Now, Pastor Terry asks, how do you approach God? As a New Testament believer, you get direct access through Jesus. What an incredible gift, that should not be taken lightly!

So many people strive for things that are just out of reach. Maybe it’s more money or a perfect body. Getting these things is a daily grind and a constant battle. Some people try using a quick fix… stealing money from others or taking diet pills, for example. But did you know there actually IS a quick way to God? He will forgive your sins and rewrite your future in one step! Today, Pastor Terry encourages you to put your faith in Jesus Christ alone! Stop striving and rest in the gift that’s available to you!

We’re not always called to witness to others using detailed arguments or heady knowledge. But according to 1 Peter 3:15, we’re also called “to be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have.” So, in today’s message, Pastor Terry teaches on justification by faith alone! It’s an easy argument if you use the New Testament and Jesus’ death. But alternatively, Paul uses Old Testament truth to speak to people who don’t believe in the New Testament.

Understanding something and then living by it are two very different things. If you have a teenager in your house, you probably cringe at the words, “yeah, yeah, I know; I got it.” But with no outward change in behavior, those are empty words. Do they really “have it?” Don’t let your faith and belief in Jesus be just empty words. Pastor Terry encourages you today to move from understanding to a deep relationship. Knowing, loving, and following Jesus takes mind, heart, and behavior change!

We all use a mirror when we’re getting ready in the morning. We look at ourselves and see the things we’d like to fix before we start our day. We then use a comb, some lotion, a toothbrush, and maybe some makeup. We don’t use the mirror to make ourselves presentable. That’s not the mirror’s purpose. In today’s message, that’s how Pastor Terry describes the Law of the Old Testament. God put it in place so that people could see their imperfections. But it couldn’t save them. Only Jesus can do that!

Sin is kind of like a wildfire that you struggle to keep under control. All it took was one spark for humanity to be corrupted by its influence, and that corruption has spread and grown for thousands of years since the Garden of Eden. In today’s message, Pastor Terry reminds you that every single person on this Earth is susceptible to temptation and sin. We should spend less time worrying about our neighbor’s sin and spend more time repenting and asking the Lord for forgiveness.

Have you ever met a sports fan who is extremely passionate about their favorite team? They may show up to a game wearing full face and body paint, or wearing their favorite player’s jersey, but none of those things make them a part of the actual team. In today’s message, Pastor Terry reminds you that just having the Law of Moses as part of their tradition did nothing to make the Israelites righteous. You cannot just know the Law; you also have to hold to the Law’s standards to be considered righteous!

If I were sitting across from you right now, would you be able to look me in the eye and say that you haven’t sinned today? Unless your day began a few minutes ago, it’s pretty unlikely that would be the truth! In today’s message, Pastor Terry reminds you that you shouldn’t judge other people for their sinful behavior, because everyone has sinned, including you and me! The human race is capable of some truly despicable expressions of sin, and we are all in need of a Savior.

I witnessed a pride parade and how even those who don’t identify with that persuasion fully endorse the behaviors and the lifestyle. They’re teaching and instilling their children to do so, too, waving pride flags, while decked out in pride apparel from head to toe. It’s disheartening to see a culture go so far away from what God intended, giving full vent to what’s now defined as being “loving.” But this is not God’s way. Pastor Terry’s message today is about how God’s Word doesn’t shy away from the truth.

Isn’t it heartbreaking to see how things devolve into outright disobedience to what God has commanded? God created marriage to be beautiful, but the world has corrupted it and chosen to define marriage any way it pleases. God created male and female, with specific and wonderful roles, but our society has twisted those gender definitions into something of their choosing. Pastor Terry teaches today in the first chapter of Romans, where some of these topics are hit head-on!

So many people have an issue with God and His nature, as well as His way of giving consequences for sin. But it’s no different than a caring parent who wants their child to walk in an upright way. You’re willing to tackle your kid out of the way of a moving car, than to see her stand in the street and be permanently injured because of the harm that’s coming her way. Today, Pastor Terry expresses the rightness and the goodness of God, even when justice is served, but people aren’t happy about it.

When you’re gardening, you expect to get some dirt under your nails and even be a little sore from the physical labor that you’re putting in. When it comes to sharing the Gospel with others, Pastor Terry is telling you today to roll up those sleeves and be willing to get dirty. That means having those tense, maybe even awkward conversations with your neighbors at times. Or training your child through a character issue for the hundredth time that teaches her what it means to honor God in her life.

This is not something that you can “live vicariously” through someone else. This is a personal decision, a personal invitation for you to accept. So it doesn’t matter if your mom and dad have accepted the invitation, or if your best friend has done that. This isn’t a “plus one” situation that you’re RSVP-ing for. Pastor Terry is saying today that each person is responsible for making that decision to follow Christ. When you take that step of faith, your seat in heaven is reserved for eternity!

If you were to define or explain yourself to someone, what would you say? Think about a resume, for example. You’re trying to show people what you know, what you’re capable of, and what your strengths and skill set are, based on the knowledge and experience you have. Well, today, Pastor Terry starts the book of Romans by explaining where the Apostle Paul’s heart was in writing this letter to these people. He made it clear what his position was, which was merely being a servant of Jesus.

No book in this entire world is big enough to hold everything there is to know about Jesus! Even the Bible, the very Word of God, only gives us a taste of who Jesus really is. Pastor Terry reminds us today that, if we really want to know Jesus, we have to spend time in His presence! Through studying God’s Word, spending time in prayer, and sharing the Gospel with others, we gain a deeper understanding of Jesus and His nature. We learn more about Him as we become more like Him.

One of the reasons that you can trust that the Bible is the true Word of God is how it prophesied about historical events! In today’s message, Pastor Terry wants you to understand that all of the hundreds of prophecies written about Jesus centuries before His birth came true. Jesus just isn’t some fictional teacher from a book of fairy tales. He is the Son of the one true God! You can put your faith in Him because His fulfillment of Biblical prophecy proves that Jesus is no ordinary man.

Sometimes, when we look at the people around us and see their relationship with God, we may want the same thing. But the reality is that every relationship with God is unique. Your friend’s journey will never be yours, though you can learn from them and be encouraged by their faith. Today, Pastor Terry reminds you that your relationship with God doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. When you give your life to Jesus and follow His Word, you can have a personal relationship with Him, too.

When you’re a child, you learn to follow and trust your parents simply because that’s all you’ve ever known. But it’s not until you become a parent yourself that you truly understand the depth of a mother's or father’s love. That’s how God is with you and me. His love is beyond measure, and He wants you to choose Him. So in today’s message, Pastor Terry encourages you to choose a personal relationship with God and experience His love for yourself. Follow Jesus, and allow His love to enter your life.

Have you ever had that one friend in your life with whom you can just be yourself? Someone you don’t have to pretend around, who listens and wants the best for you? Someone who will tell you right from wrong, even when it’s hard to hear? See, having a relationship with Jesus isn't just about serving; it's about following Him and allowing Him to guide you through life, in every moment. In today’s message, Pastor Terry reminds you that you can have that kind of relationship with Jesus right now. Choose Jesus Christ.

There’s something so humbling about waiting on the Lord. It’s in those times that we discover who we truly are: are we patient and trusting, or do we try to take matters into our own hands? If you struggle with waiting, Pastor Terry reminds you that waiting on God doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means staying faithful, growing in character, and preparing your heart until the right time is right. Trust in God to speak, and use the waiting period to strengthen your life in Him, and in every area of your life.

It can be easy to look down on Thomas – how could he doubt Jesus’ resurrection, especially after all of that time with Jesus, hearing Him speak, watching Him perform miracles, and hearing the testimony of his fellow disciples? And yet we struggle with doubt today. Perhaps you’re worried about finances, scheduling issues, family trouble – the list goes on. Don’t you have a myriad of examples of the Lord providing for you? Pastor Terry reminds us that there is no shame in doubt. Bring it to Jesus – he'll walk through it with you.

I’ve had the thought before, saying, “Man, if only I had walked with Jesus, then I wouldn’t have any doubt in my mind about anything!” Much to my chagrin, the example of Thomas is there to rebuke that thought. Thomas walked alongside Jesus for 3 years, heard Jesus talk about His death and resurrection, and even had his closest companions proclaim the resurrection, and yet Thomas did not believe it! Pastor Terry reminds us today that despite Thomas’ great faith, he still wrestled with doubt – and that’s okay.

What a friend we have in Jesus. He isn’t afraid of our mess, and we have nothing to fear when coming to Him. Just as Jesus invited Thomas to feel the nail holes in His hands, or to put his hand into the wound in His side, Jesus invites us to come to Him at any time, no matter our circumstances. In today’s message, Pastor Terry teaches on the lessons we learn from Thomas – both from the doubt he expressed, and the restoration that Jesus provided. We may have doubts, but we can always bring them to Jesus.

Home security systems, doorbell cameras, locks, and gates are all designed to keep a location secure from outsiders. Imagine the surprise of having someone appear in the middle of the room who wasn’t there before! I wonder if the disciples started blaming each other for not locking the doors, or if they were stunned into silence by Jesus’ sudden presence! Pastor Terry teaches today that Jesus’ appearance to them was not by accident, nor was it by natural means – today, we’ll explore the purpose behind Jesus’ appearance here.

“Amen” is a declaration to say, “so be it” or “let it be so.” For God to agree with the statement “it is finished” gives us such great hope and freedom! No more are we bound to a system of continual substitution and sacrifice! Jesus has completed the work on the cross, and His resurrection is living proof that it really is finished! Death was defeated through death, and Jesus stands victorious over all! Take a moment today to celebrate and sing of the glorious freedom we have today because of Jesus’ death and resurrection!

Whoa! What a surprise that must have been for them! I cannot imagine being told that my grandpa’s grave was empty, running to ascertain the truth, and finding his empty suit sitting in an open casket! And yet, here we see Peter and John witnessing just that. Their teacher, their dear friend, whom they had heard was dead and buried, was no longer in His tomb! Pastor Terry looks today at the resurrection of Jesus and how it impacted His disciples.

At some point in life, we all face difficult choices. Which job to choose, what college to go to, or which flavor of ice cream to get? Okay, the last one is easy – cookies and cream, of course! But the other two questions have potentially life-altering implications. They impact our future, our prospective colleagues and friends, and even current colleagues and friends. Today, Pastor Terry shares about the struggle for Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, and the implications that their decisions would have.

I haven’t put a lot of thought into who would carry me at my funeral. I have always figured that my family would do so – close cousins, kids, grandkids. Jesus didn’t have that – no, we would expect that his disciples would care for His body after His death. But His disciples were scattered! Here’s where we see Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea step in. Pastor Terry shares about the significance of Nicodemus and Joseph doing this, and how their commitment has set a precedent for us to follow.

It’s powerful to read through what Jesus went through to be crucified, but it’s even more powerful when we realize that Jesus could have stopped it. He wasn’t powerless; He was willing. At any moment, He could have walked away, called down help, or ended it all. But He chose the cross. Pastor Terry will tell you today that nothing about the crucifixion caught Jesus off guard. He laid His life down on purpose. And when you see that kind of love—love that stayed when it could have left—it impacts you.

It’s easy to think about the cross in broad terms—like Jesus died for the world, for humanity as a whole. And that’s true. But sometimes that truth can feel distant, almost impersonal. The reality is far closer than that. Today, Pastor Terry will remind you that Jesus didn’t just die for everyone in general; He died for you. For your sins. Even the ones you’d rather forget.
