God isn’t looking for perfection; He’s looking for surrender

The Honor Game is played with a mirror. The Change Game is played with a magnifier (1) What do you walk around with the most: a magnifier or a mirror? (2) With who do you need to put down the magnifier and pick up a mirror?

The Comparison Game has no winners (1) Who are you comparing yourself to?  (2) How is that impacting your relationship with them?  (3) How is that impacting you?

The blame game assigns responsibility. The honor game assumes it (1) What are you blaming someone for that you need to assume responsibility for?  (2) Who are you assigning blame to instead of assuming responsibility?

The Honor Game is the only relational game we should play What’s preventing me from playing the honor game?

Breaking free from sinful addictions and compulsions is a choice Is there anything in your life that has more control over you than you want it to?

The miracles God wants you to experience are salvation and transformation   (1) Have you experienced the miracle of salvation?  (2) How is Jesus inviting you to follow Him today so you can continue experiencing the miracle of transformation? 

When you don’t get the miracle you asked for, pivot toward God.

The posture of surrender positions us in the “miracle zone” How is Jesus inviting you to surrender?

Miracles are signs to point people to Jesus What miracle are you praying for, and why do you want God to give it to you?

Since God exists, miracles exist What is the purpose of miracles?

The resurrection is the only explanation for one of history’s greatest mysteries. Once you’ve concluded Jesus rose from the grave, why wouldn’t you take hold of the resurrection and the life?

Self control is Spirit enabled mastery over what is trying to master you and discipline is how that mastery is developed. (1) Is there an area in your life that you feel is out of control? (2) Regarding that area, where you do you find yourself consistently giving in? (3) What discipline do you need to put in place to begin training your flesh? 

Gentleness preserves what we treasure most.  Where in your life right now is God inviting you to replace harshness with gentleness?

Being counted on to show up every time for the people and in the places God has given us, is proof we’re actively following Jesus   (1) Are you someone who can be counted on to show up every time for the people and in the places God has given you? (2) What fruit are you bringing to those people and places when you show up? 

Goodness is the proof because Jesus is  Is Goodness being produced in your life? 

Choosing words and actions that benefit others is proof we’re actively following Jesus  How am I currently doing at choosing words and actions that benefit the people God put in my path? 

Patience is proof of humility before God and with others Who am I being impatient with, and what is that proving?

The fruit of peace is proof of a mind consumed with the God of peace What is the presence or absence of peace in my life proving?

The fruit of joy is proof of surrender What is my joy, or lack of joy, proving?

The fruit of love is the primary proof of following Jesus. What is the way I’m loving, proving?

Slow down your body, slow down your life. What are some practical ways you need to slow down your body in order to slow down your life?

To ruthlessly eliminate hurry we must arrange our lives around what matters most and remove what competes with it.  Sermon Challenge Questions:  - What is the condition of your soul today? - Is there something you can identify in your life that might be crowding out your heart and starving your soul?  - What is one thing you can do this week to begin creating margin?

We can follow the example of Jesus to use solitude with God to nourish our soul and connect deeply with God. How can you establish a rhythm of solitude in your life that will nourish your soul and connect you deeply with God?

To experience life to the full, we have to ruthlessly eliminate hurry from our lives. Sermon Challenge Questions: (1) How is your soul hurried? (2) How might that be impacting your experience of living “life to the full”? (3) Are you willing to adopt the unhurried lifestyle of Jesus?

Whatever we magnify gets magnified. Are you choosing to magnify Jesus?

Since God’s heart for lost people is that they are found, we must invite them in with open arms Do you have the heart of the Father, or the heart of the older brother, toward those who are lost?

Every lost person is valuable to God, so we must be on a relentless search to find them. How are you “Investing & Inviting” your Reach One? How can you? How should you?

If it doesn’t matter for eternity, it doesn’t matter

God does immeasurably more when we generously give Him our first and our best.

Generosity proves our trust in God, grows our trust in God, and transfers our trust from our riches to the One who richly provides.

We are transformed when what’s On Repeat in our minds is set on things above.

The negative thoughts that are On Repeat are negatively impacting everything.

An uncommon community chooses unity over agreement

What makes a community uncommon is when authentic relationships are forming and flourishing. Are you intentionally helping anyone be transformed into who God created them to be, and are you intentionally allowing anyone to help you?

Uncommon community is defined by extravagant love.

Caring requires carrying.

People can only belong where they are accepted.

The path to experiencing uncommon community is paved with commitment.
