Sunday's Message from Unity of Tucson

Shame and guilt get us sympathy from others. We feel like people see us. But what if we only accepted being seen as divine?

Should we choose the smoothest past forward? Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a map to our future? Then we would know exactly where to go and where to be? It just doesn’t exist. Life is like a river not a straight highway. It bends and curves and flows in different directions. The surface may appear smooth but underneath there’s something churning. We don’t always see what’s ahead. We can try to paddle against the current. Or we can go with the flow.

Blame keeps us rooted in past paradigms. But we have a responsibility to our own spiritual growth. How do we stay in the flow? How do we avoid getting derailed in our own mind? Sometimes the holiest moments in life are when this comes up in relation to what’s happening. We must go into that space where we trust that they enter spirit knows something that is beyond or limited experience.

Presence is practicing deep awareness of self from a spiritual point of view. To do this, we must first remember who we are. But this can cause us to align ourselves with outside circumstances. We must turn our attention to our inner life to remember who we are. Which is God essence. There can be nothing separate from the infinite.

Every being understands their identity as divine. Our work here is to be the expression of love in all things. We are here to give of ourselves. Spirit gives love back to itself for the purpose of creation. We can individualize this giving through our own sense of self. We do it as a way to live in infinite creation in our lives.

Do we live in a world where we are immobilized by too much information and distraction? To the degree that we forget who we are? How is it that we are motivating and creating our lives? What is the vision we are holding? We must take action and not succumb to inaction as a result of the information we are receiving. We must do something. But what is ours to do? We must choose clarity over confusion.

We utilize our imaginations to visualize where our life’s path may go. But visioning utilizes our intuition. We open ourselves up as channels to divinity when we utilize our intuition. Visioning often begins in stillness. And it is activated through a divine impulse. we create through our thoughts and beliefs. The feeling we feel affirms are commitment to those beliefs.

We impose an idea of God that seems impersonal. All things collectively create the manifest body of the divine. For many people, this diminishes a personal connection to God. We can move beyond the intellect into the embodiment of God. What could be more personal than personalizing the divine at in you? We are all the outflow of infinite love.

We are taught to fear change. How we choose to see the world determines our relationship to it. There may be adverse things showing up in our lives, but we have the capacity to change those things. We do this by changing our relationship to the circumstances, by acknowledging the creative power of the universe of which we are an integral part.

We are in a state of convergence. This is a journey of self discovery. Where are you now? What are you feeling? What are you truly feeling? are you feeling like you’re in the midst of darkness? At the changing of the solstice, we begin to welcome the light back into the world.

We have been called to wake from sleep to feel our power. It is through that empowerment that we create the dream. But does that world exist now? It exists here and now for the minds of each and every one of us. we are here to shine our light. And in doing so show others the way.

What does vitality really mean? It’s understanding that there’s a little bit of heaven everywhere. We must be willing to live from the point of view of sharing the infinite life force. We must learn to express life without resistance. We are giving birth to the infinite ideas that our God.

When we are living from a point of view of gratitude, our lives must mirror that. When we are living from the point of view of lack, there’s a lot more to fear. Gratitude sets the creative law in motion. Whatever we appreciate grows in our experience. Gratitude tunes us to the harmony of life.

The process of giving and receiving keep the flow going between individuals. Generosity is the movement of life through and as us. We plant seeds of ideas in the soil of consciousness. What grows is the relative outcome of that planted idea. The seed. The soil. The star. The star is our ultimate spiritual identity.

A lack of ease in life isn’t because of something broken in you. It is a call to expand the container that is you. Our divine work is to reframe the world and expand the container and then see what happens. New thought doesn’t have answers for us. It invites us to find the answers within ourselves. See what happens when you allow yourself to settle in and discover something about yourself.

Each of us is a costume that God clothes itself in. The challenge is that we still believe in separation. The idea of separation is love in disguise. Everything is God. Everything is divinity. We are the clothing that God costumes itself in. We are the mask that God wears for expression. If you are waiting for the world to change, perhaps you need to engage in the change yourself. You can change your mind and your relationship to the circumstances. We can be the change that we want to see.

We do not need to live from the belief that we are fractured when our soul is an expression of the infinite order. Shifting our perspective is at the core of this philosophy. What we perceived to be a fracture may diminish in significance when we view it from the point of view of the infinite. We are divinity’s repeating pattern of itself. This means we are the power and light of the divine expression. Our individual divinity is the great equalizer. We are all part of the creative energy of the universe.

We can let go of the notion that life has to be challenging. We can relax and breathe in this moment. Energy follows our attention so if we pay attention to things that create discord in our lives, that will be the result. Energy follows attention. We need to shift our attention from what we are trying to avoid to what we’re trying to bring into our reality.

Enlightenment is not a one and done kind of deal. It is about consistency. What can I give versus what can I get. We gain what we are willing to give. Even our presence is a gift. Spiritual belonging is an ongoing journey.

What wants to be known?

Life provides if we are open to being provided for. There is a divine mind counterpart for every human need. Our wellbeing is about our relationship to divine source. We seek balance and stability. What do you have to give and what do you need to receive? Forgiveness and gratitude are how we realign ourselves with the flow.

We can release limiting ideas and allow grace into our lives. We can surrender to infinite wisdom. We have the power to change our relationship to the circumstances of our lives. Take a breath. Take a moment to experience absolute presence. This is an act of graceful surrender. Be in agreement with life and allow it to unfold.

Even in Unity, there is conflict. We are one unified whole and we should be expressing this in the world. It is our time to innovate and evolve. Community is what it’s all about. Life is happening as WE.

We are stepping into our light. We must step into our inner diversity. But what if they don’t like me? We make up a story against ourselves. We are the unbroken flexibility of the divine. We are strong and unwavering. We are the outflow of the divine.

We all want to belong. We are here to celebrate what makes us unique. We can be different while still belonging to a tribe. Diversity is not accidental, it is intentional. The source of all discord is a sense of separation. Your unique expression is necessary to the whole.

You are required in the wholeness of life. Your life is a blessing. Life wants to happen. The saguaro cactus blooms in response to stress. We can burst forth in life when adversity is met with spiritual intention. Suffering can be transformed into meaning. We are alive with divine light.
