The Old Paths
Deep theological question. Why did Israel wander in the wilderness for 40 years? Moses was too stubborn to stop and ask for directions. In our text today, we see Jeremiah drawing an image from travelers on the wrong road--they have forgotten (or forsaken) the old paths.
