With the new year right around the corner, many of us will begin reflecting on the past year, as well as our hopes for the coming year. While this is a great practice and often yields excellent results, I want to challenge you to take the time to reflect on your entire life. Maybe this year has been challenging for you, instead of focusing on the negative, take time to reflect on all of the things both good and bad that have made up the story that is your life. When you focus on the bigger picture, it makes some of life’s challenges seem small. Think of all of the times God has been faithful to you in the past. Enter this new year with a confident assurance that no matter what the year brings, God will be with you.

Merry Christmas everyone! We know that Jesus is the reason for the season and for this episode I wanted to keep it simple and read the story of the birth of Jesus found in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.

David walked into the room a shepard boy and walked out of the room a king. Gideon walked into the wine press afraid, and came out a mighty warrior. When you walk into the room people may not recognize who God has called you to be. You may not see yourself the way God sees you. You may not know who He created you to be or what He created you to do but, He wants you to know. He has an amazing plan for your future far greater than anything you could ever imagine. Ask God today to show you how He sees you. His opinion is the one that matters most!

God has a perfect plan for each and every one of our lives and He wants us to know what it is! If you are searching for your purpose, start with praying and asking God what His purpose is for your life. God’s will and purpose for your life will align with His Word. Remember Proverbs 3 5:6.

Have you ever wondered how much God loves you? Maybe you’ve heard people express how important it is that you to experience God’s love but you aren’t sure that you have ever felt it. All of us have a need and a desire to be loved. God provides all the love we will ever need and in this episode I share about how much God the Father loves us and how we can show love to our children as well.

Are you in a season of waiting but not really sure what to do? Do you feel the need to figure things out on your own? Are you worried that time is running out? Remember that God’s timing is perfect and He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. We just need to be patient and allow God to work in us, through us, and around us. There are so many situations that are out of our control and we just need to step aside and allow God to be God. He knows what’s best.

Welcome back! It’s season 5 and there have been some changes! Real Talk is now Talk About Real!! Even though the name has changed, the show is still the same! God is still in charge and all of the content continues to come from Him! This episode is on faith, particularly the faith of Jesus’s mother, Mary. Sometimes God requires us to have big faith and Mary gives us a great example of what it means to have faith and believe that God will do what He says He will do.

Have you ever wondered why or how human beings exist? Have you been searching for answers about the meaning of life? In this episode we tackle some of those questions and find the answers for them in God’s word.

There is freedom in letting go of past hurts. The pain of holding onto the hurt is often times worse than the pain of the original hurt itself. Jesus wants to set you free today! Choose to lay your burdens at His feet and find rest for your soul.

“So often we want to skip through the wilderness and step right into the promise. So often we focus on the destination and not the journey. When we’re focused on living in the promise land, we miss all that God has for us on the journey to get there.”

Even though we can’t always see what the future holds, we know The One who does. He loves us and wants the very best for us. Walking in faith means that we put our trust in Him and allow Him to lead our way, even when we don’t know where He is taking us.

1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast our cares upon Him for He cares for us! That’s right, God cares about you! He cares about all the details of your life, even the smallest ones. Whatever is burdening you, bring it to Jesus and let him lift that burden off your shoulders.

Before God sends you, He’ll prepare you! You may already be familiar with the process of preparation but it never hurts to learn more! In this episode I outline some of things you may encounter on your journey to your God given destination.

Do you ever struggle with the thought that you’re not doing enough for God? Maybe you compare your walk with someone else’s. Just know He loves you no matter what. He calls you friend and sees the potential in you that you may not see yet. Ask God to reveal to you how much you mean to Him!

Most of us, if not all of us have experienced what it is like to wait on God. Perhaps you have been praying for the health of a loved one, or maybe it’s to see someone saved. Whatever it is that you are waiting on, you can’t trust that God hears you and He is working on it.

In this episode I share a recent dream I had about taking a leap of faith. I hope this encourages sometime to draw near to God and trust His plan. Just know that He will carry you wherever you go.

As Christ followers we are to live a life that leads others to Him. We are called to be Christ-like and just as Jesus did not condemn others for their sins we are to do the same. If we want to live a life that is pleasing to God then let’s live a life of love.

We can let go of all of that and walk in the freedom of God’s grace because of the sacrifice His son Christ Jesus made for us. The words we speak are more important than we realize. They hold the power of life and death. They can build up or tear down. They can encourage or they can discourage. They can teach or they can torment. Our words have the ability to change lives forever. Let’s choose to speak life!

In this episode I share my testimony of how God blessed my husband and I with two little miracle babies after many years of suffering from infertility. Go heard our prayers and the prayers of others on our behalf and He answered them! I also share some awesome God encounters I had right before and right after giving birth to my second child. I hope that this episode encourages mothers and mothers-to-be to never give up and never stop praying for your miracle!

Sometimes we become consumed with things that seem harmless but before we know it they have become idols in our lives. Matthew 6 vs 19-21 says “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in or steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” It’s important that we set aside earthly treasures and focus our minds on things above!
