Winning the Worry War, Part 1
Jill Briscoe will freely admit that even as a Christian, she struggles with worry—and she’s not alone. Battling against worry and reclaiming the energy and abundant life that worry steals from us is a daily battle for so many people. Are you ready to learn how to rule worrisome situations and not be ruled by them?In this message, Jill shares the turning point in her life when she finally felt the worry war pivot in her favor—and it had a lot to do with studying the story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho. Overloaded, Part 2
Have you tried to carry all of your groceries into the house in one trip so you didn't have to go back out to the car? Your arms are aching, the bags are pinching your fingers, and the food is beginning to slide out. But you keep moving, hoping to get everything into the kitchen before the bags break! Now imagine that someone in your family came out as you were unloading your bags and offered to carry them so you could sit down to rest. You probably wouldn't turn them down! Well, Jesus has made this offer—He wants to carry our burdens. We just need to say yes. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Rest Stops, Part 2
One of the best known passages in the Bible is Psalm 23. It describes the relationship between a shepherd and His flock, in which He guides them through pastures, hills and dark valleys. In every case, the sheep are content because the shepherd is there, offering protection and comfort. We are the sheep in this story! Jill teaches that no matter what is happening in our lives, good or bad, the only way we can find true contentment—and even joy—in every situation is by trusting in the Lord, our shepherd, who promises to never leave us. Getting on Track, Part 1
What does it mean to live in the Word? How do you hear His voice and apply it to your daily life? Jill Briscoe shows us that it starts with bringing your heart, your mind, and your will when you sit down and spend time reading His Word. Psalm 119:18 says, Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/508/29?v=20251111

How Should I Handle Temptation?, Part 2
How do you handle temptation? Do you just give in, shrug your shoulders, and say it's just the way you are? Do you give in and blame Satan? Or do you rely on God and in His power resist the temptation? Every temptation that comes our way is an opportunity to go wrong, but it is also an opportunity to do right, and Scripture tells us that God will never allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. In this message, Stuart Briscoe helps us understand what temptation is and where it comes from, and he encourages us to find opportunities to do right when we’re tempted to go wrong. Getting Off the Roof, Part 2
Giant Temptation comes to all of us. All of us know him. He knows us—he knows when our guard is up, and he knows when we’re feeling lazy. It’s in our times of laziness that we’re faced with temptations that we’re not prepared for, and we, like David, have to choose whether to go along with the giant of temptation or to get off the rooftop. Have you experienced a time when you've failed to overcome a temptation? Jill Briscoe shows us that the value of David's life story is not only that it shows man's great sin, but that it shows God's even greater forgiveness and grace. Trials and Temptations, Part 2
Trials and temptations are the inevitable lot of fallen people who live in a fallen world. God does not send them, but He does permit them. Provided we handle them correctly, they serve to help us mature. But when mishandled, they can lead to great harm. The Children of Israel were a great example of this. Comfort Through Unity
Jesus assumed that His disciples would faithfully fulfill the commission He had given them and that as a result there would be future generations of believers, including present day believers. So when He prayed for future believers His prayer included us! That He prayed for us is highly significant. What He prayed for us should be clearly understood. Comfort Through the Spirit
Sometimes we try to understand how anything good can possibly come out of the bad things that happen to us. The disciples certainly felt like this when Jesus told them it was to their advantage that He would leave them via the cross. The advantage of which He spoke to them is to our advantage too. So we need to be clear about the promise He gave to them and to us. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/508/29?v=20251111

Comfort Through Trials
Jesus tells us not to be surprised when we face troubles, because the world around us loves the darkness rather than the light. He also tells us to step out of our comfort zone, thoroughly convinced of who He is, ready to respond differently than the world. In this message, Stuart Briscoe unpacks John 15 to show us how this kind of response is possible and how to find comfort through trials. Comfort Through Relationship
Are you in a dead-end relationship? Disappointed because that “special person” doesn’t meet all of your needs? We hear about situations like these all the time. It’s clear we’re created as relational beings, so why do we struggle so much with relationships? In this message Stuart Briscoe teaches about the ultimate relationship that brings both comfort and meaning to our lives. Comfort Through Trust
Have you ever experienced disappointed hope? To put all your trust in someone or something only to find they were untrustworthy—to be fooled and have your hope shattered. Maybe that’s why we tend to distrust rather than to trust. Jesus said, “Trust God, trust Me, don’t let your hearts be troubled.” But what does it mean to trust in God in the midst of things that are deeply troubling or discouraging? In this message, Stuart Briscoe reveals truth that helps us understand how these words of Jesus can be possible in our own life. Waiting It Out
Suffering can seem like an endless battle, because as soon as you get in it, you just want to get out. Hours, days, weeks, months, or even years can go by and you’re still asking, “How long, oh Lord?” So what do you do when you’re in a seemingly endless season of hardship? In this message, Jill shares how when we’re willing to wait out our seasons of suffering, God won’t let the time go to waste. Trusting in Trouble, Part 2
When trouble comes your way, are you quick to question it? Have you ever gone so far as to question God Himself? The world can tempt us into asking, How could a loving God let something so terrible happen? Have you ever found yourself pondering that question?Instead of questioning the character of God, Job willingly received suffering from God’s hands. But how was he able to accept the seemingly unacceptable? Jill shares how we can experience a transformation of attitude and move from a place of questioning God to a place of trusting God. Weathering the Storms of Life, Part 1
Life is full of squalls—sudden unannounced and unexpected storms that can lead us to question if God is in control of our lives. Death, sickness, unemployment, broken relationships, fears and failures are some of the troubles Satan uses to swamp us with doubt, usually when we’re already stressed and exhausted. How do you respond when you’re hit with the squalls of life? Are you like the disciples in Mark 4 who wondered why Jesus slept while their boat was sinking, or do you believe God is in as much control when He’s seemingly asleep as when He’s obviously awake? Do you pray, “Don’t let there be another squall”? Or do you see storms as part of God’s plan for your life?Teaching from the Gospel of Mark, Jill Briscoe addresses the issues of suffering and faith, challenging us to examine our beliefs in God in the midst of trouble. A Brighter Day Tomorrow
God allows us freedom to choose how we live, but He doesn’t allow us to choose the consequences of our decisions. That’s the painful lesson we see the people of Judah live through as they are under siege with rampant famine and plague. In such dire circumstances, is it possible to live with hope that God will ever restore His people? In this message, Stuart Briscoe explores the purpose for God’s plan in allowing Judah to be taken over by foreign rule. The Reluctant Prophet, Part 1
As a follower of Christ, do you feel out of place when people reject Him? Do you shy away from opportunities to share Christ with others? The truth is, we’ve been intentionally planted to demonstrate and articulate truth to hurting people. So why do many of us freeze up when faced with the opportunity to speak up?In this message, Stuart Briscoe introduces you to Jeremiah—a reluctant, fearful man God used to speak truth into troubled Judah. You’ll learn how God desires to use you, too, to boldly live and share Christ with a confused and hurting world. Cultivate Contentment, Part 1
Those of us who played organized sports in school may remember a time when the race or game was not going well, and we just wanted to give up. For many of us, it was the shouts from the sidelines that kept us going. We could hear the coach shouting, “Keep going—you can do it!” In the same way the coach keeps the team going, Christ keeps us going and guides us home. We just have to learn to turn everything in our lives over to Him. In this message, Jill explains how we can learn to let God “coach” us and find contentment in every circumstance. Learn to Be Small
What people come to mind when thinking of those who have a servant attitude? Missionaries? Pastors? Yourself? Do you think that having a humble attitude is important? The apostle Paul had a servant heart and attitude. He continually gave himself away to benefit those around him. As a result, he was able to bring many people to Christ. We can impact those around us just as Paul did if we learn the spiritual art of humility. In this message, Jill explains how having a self-sacrificing attitude can impact others. Others put on a strong face, but when they’re alone, the fear and sadness take over and they break down.Much of the apostle Paul’s life was spent suffering—most of the time in jail. But unlike many of us, Paul was joyful no matter what his circumstance. This “spiritual art” of contentment was something Paul learned—and it wasn’t easy.
