The book of 2 Timothy

The battle between Good and Evil is very real! The powers of darkness are complicit in every evil thing we see and we must get to the place that we recognize this!!! The world is changing quickly and Jesus is coming soon so let’s wake up and learn what the Bible says about complete victory!!!

It’s amazing to see how discouraging life can get when lived for the LORD. The enemy hates it and will do whatever it takes to put and end to it. How do we act during those tough times? The apostle Paul may very well give us some of the best examples in the Bible!!!

As morbid as this question may be, it’s perhaps the most important question anyone has ever asked in human history. If you’re a believer, the answer should be the same across the board. This is why!Thursday Midweek Study - 2 Timothy 4:6-8

It’s amazing how many pastors have learned to disregard and even abandon God’s basic job description for them. Many are distracted by creating a false perception of what they think they should be in the public eye. Instead, they should be listening to what the word of God says about how they should function!!!

The Bible warns us that in the last days we will see people turn their hearts against God and seek evil. We are even warned that if we seek God, we will suffer persecution. Knowing this, what should know, and more importantly - What should we do? The Bible gives us the answer!!!

The Bible gives us multiple warnings about the things to come. We shouldn’t be surprised when we see indicators of the time we’re living, and God doesn’t make it difficult to see. We need to open our eyes and understand that JESUS is coming SOONER than anyone may think. Time is running out and we need to be prepared!!!

We've said this many times before. The only true freedom comes from Christ and when you reject His word you chose bondage. It's the fastest way to bondage and you'll remain locked up unless you allow God to free you!!!

This one thing is so critical that we're placing a very specific emphasis on it tonight. Here's a hint; it has everything to do with God's word and nothing to do with laziness!!!

Sometimes there are moments in our lives that when we experience them, it changes EVERYTHING. Maybe its a phrase, or an event, but when it happens, it changes the course of your life forever! This passage, if listened to as it was intended by the author, is one such passage. Make not mistake, What you’re about to hear is more REVOLUTIONARY than anything the world has ever seen!!!

We've been spending lots of time talking about the spiritual battle that we're in and there are so many tools that God makes available to us. Today we'll be talking about the mindset of those tools because without it, we will not prevail. God wins the battle and the war for us, but there are a few things we need to keep in mind!

It goes without saying that we are in a remarkably aggressive spiritual battle and that battle intensifies every day! When we choose to engage as a result of following the will of God for our lives, we are met with great distress, but even a greater peace and joy. We know the endgame and we can have confidence that God will not leave us embarrassed!

The Bible tells us that in the last days we would be living in perilous times. We are indeed living in the last days, and the times are especially perilous! Fear continues to grip the hearts of so many and yet we know that as Christians, we have NO REASON to fear because God is with us. God not only gives us the end game, but He also equips us with the tools necessary to walk boldly as He directs us, and not fear! We'll talk about this as we explore the next section of 2 Timothy Chapter 1.

We are living in perilous times, and the desperation in the hearts and minds of people is unprecedented. Many are hopeless, depressed, tired, and even distracted. There is light at the end of the tunnel! the Bible gives us clarity and understanding on how these issues can be defeated, and even replaced with hope, strength, encouragement, and peace!!! The introduction of 2 Timothy illuminates this issue quite effectively, and tonight you'll learn all about it!!!

The most dangerous war ever fought is the kind in which the one defeated has no idea they are at war. With that said, the invisible war we fight from day to day is serious, yet many Christians have NO IDEA they are fighting it!
