Acts Pt.12 - The Prayer of the Early Church
This week we dive into the prayer of the early church as a response to chapter 3. We see how bold prayer is based around God and how He will fulfill His plan. We go over the church’s prayer for boldness in proclaiming the Gospel, that is something we should all be praying for. Finally we discuss how God answers these requests.

Acts Pt.11 - Godly Boldness
This week had a lot of table discussion that is difficult to get on our mics, if you enjoy the Crossroads podcast and haven’t attended the Crossroads life group in person we would like to welcome you and say hi! We pickup with the reaction to the message that the Apostles had proclaimed, the astonishment, the recognition of Jesus and the opponents being silenced by the Miraculous evidence. The opponents made a calculated response, ending at a threat, while Peter and John cut to the center of the issue Authority. Questions to ponder, what stops you from being bold about your faith and what are verses that answer those concerns.

Acts Pt.10 - Confronted for a Good Deed
We open this week the response to the Gospel proclaimed by Peter and John. The Priests, Sadducees, and temple guard were all frustrated, leading to imprisonment for Peter and John. We also get to see that people came to faith from the message. We then go over how the Power of Christ's working through the Apostles was Irrefutable.

Acts Pt.9 - A Miracle in Jesus' Name
After a couple weeks off from our study in Acts we pick-up with a quick review and then diving into the Miracle from Jesus Christ working through Peter and John. After the beggar's ability to, not just walk but, leap is restored Peter goes on to proclaim Jesus name. It is very clear that this miracle occurred only through Jesus.

1 John 3:11-18 - Zach Wildman
This week we take a break from our study through Acts by Austin for Zach being a guest speaker. Going through 1 John 3:11-18, talking about love, the command that we have heard since the beginning, love like Christ does. Through Cain and Abel we see how even when Abel is righteous and loves his brother Cain hated him just as the world hates Christians. We are to stand apart from the rest of the world and love fellow believers, following the perfect example of Jesus. There was some technical difficulties with the audio, that we are working on sorting out.

Acts Pt.8 - Exemplary Commitments of the Early Church
This week we dive into the early church and the early approach to the loving community that there was to be, having an others focused discipleship. The church was sharing life together, devoted to the proper teaching of the word, with fellowship and breaking of bread. The church was well known by their actions to those around them as we should be known to the world around us. Acts Pt.7 - How to Respond to the Gospel
We pick-up where we left off last week, going over the Christological explanation of how Jesus relates to what is happening at Pentecost and going over His resurrection. Austin then goes over how the God has sovereignly exalted and vindicated Jesus of Nazareth whom they had crucified, how there is a response that must come from that, how we all must respond to the Gospel and then follow Jesus’ example in baptism. We took a break from our regular lessons in Acts this week for a look at God’s design for the church. What the Church is and how we belong to God. By salvation we are now a family adopted by the Father, as such the entire church is a family under Christ, and how the church should be a platform for upholding the truth.

Acts Pt.5 - The Holy Spirit Arrives
This week we started we the Spirit’s Arrival, timing, location and the confirmations that showed the Holy Spirit’s arrival. We get a look at the Onlooker’s response of what was happening. No matter what there is no neutral response to the Gospel, there is either disbelief or true faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Ultimately it is God in action that will produce faith. Acts Pt.4 - Restoring the Full Number of Twelve Apostles
This week we talked about the early disciples, who they were, where they were located and what they were doing. That activity is still seen in the present day of Praising God, Praying, Hearing the Word, Applying Scripture and Conducting business. Part of that business being the replacement of Judas, we also discussed the process and why Judas needed to be replaced. (The audio is rough this week unfortunately there were tech issues so can not be fixed.)

Acts Pt.3 - Waiting and Watching
This week we start with discussing how the disciples were waiting for a person, the Holy Spirit, and the Kingdom. In the current day we are no longer having to wait for the Holy Spirit, we get to celebrate that the fact we don’t need to wait to receive the Holy Spirit. There are things that God has revealed and some things that He hasn’t and we need to trust the Lord, in this instance it’s the timeline for the Kingdom.

Crossroads January 2026 Q&A
This month Josh Andrews, and Russ Smith talk through Ezekiel 18, clarifying that context is the most important thing when dealing with questions from the Bible. They discuses what resources to use to continue to be built up during the work week and how to go about interacting with people who are part of the LGBTQ community. The final question was what laws and ceremonies from the old testament are applicable for us.

Acts Pt.1 - Series Intro & Christ's Final Preparations for the Church's Launch
Austin Dosh starts the study of Acts with some context in Luke. Austin walks through the Gospel of Luke where the apostles met Jesus on the Emmaus Road and how Jesus reminded them of God’s sovereignty in all of Jesus’s actions. It’s made clear that the life and mission of Christ has been planned and communicated from the beginning.

Crossroads November 2025 Q&A
This month Austin Dosh, Noah Wisner, and Emma Bentley address your questions about how to address false prophets, how we shouldn’t give them any platform that would give them power. We also discussed how even when we have struggled with a sin we should be motivated to share the gospel, and how if we’re living in unrepentant sin we need to address that first and foremost. How do we address having temporal goals vs eternal rewards, and finally what do we do when we are struggling with feeling “peace”.

1 Timothy 4:13-16 - The profit of Godliness, a life that speaks for Eternity
This week we have a Ammon Wright leading us through 1 Timothy 4:12-16 showing how the instructions given to Timothy apply to us as well. Walking close to God is a requirement and something to strive to, and how everything we intake does affect our daily walk. We are to use our gifts that God has given us to help further the Gospel message. The process of growing in the Lord is not a comparable progress, everyone has their own timeline.

Jonah Pt.6 - God’s Heart Displayed through Destruction
We come to the end of our series in Jonah. First we cover Jonah’s desire for the destruction of Nineveh and how Jonah was truly ready to die on the hill of seeing Nineveh be destroyed. Meanwhile God is there to create a comfort for Jonah and then use that same plant to help Jonah see where his heart truly lies.

Jonah Pt.5 - The Angry Prophet and Our Faithful God
This week we discuss the bitterness that Jonah feels, the “evil with great evil” Jonah thought occurred in his anger. The broken reasoning that anger brings and how Jonah was angry at God for attributes he was thankful for a chapter before, and with anger we see Jonah’s selfish request. We also cover how God responds to Jonah’s anger.
