Antara, James, & Dakota Part 2 Episode 10 Season 6

In my final talk with Antara and James, we discussed one of my favorite, but most sensitive and controversial, topics: How do people with different theological beliefs come to similar moral conclusions?I think this topic can easily upset a lot of people the second they hear a differing theological opinion on an idea. Still, my hope with doing multiple seasons of this podcast is to demonstrate to people how it can be possible to sit down with others who have different “labels” and see how we can find common friendship and shared conclusions about being kind to one another. All while using the foundation of treating others as we wish to be treated. This conversation really culminates why I love these two so much and what I wanted this podcast to illustrate. Over the six-year span of this project, I wanted to show the diverse range of friendships I had developed and the diverse backgrounds they all came from. With that, I wanted to show how I used Bahá'í principles to find common ground with all of them, regardless of labels.Support the show

Antara, James, & Dakota Part 1 Episode 9 Season 6

On October 6, 2025, my very beloved friend James passed away. This recording took place sometime in 2022. This recording is truly chaotic. It is full of inconsistent breaks, bad edits, and complete vibe changes. I came to dislike my own podcast because of my inability to keep things more cohesive, but this episode captures what my relationship with James truly was. This is just how we spoke, and this is why I love James.Support the show

Dakota and Dakota Episode 8 Season 6

This episode was intended to be the first episode of Season 7, but given that it took me nearly half a decade to publish Season 6, I do not know when Season 7 will ever come. There is no deeper philosophical meaning in this episode, unlike Dakota’s and my typical conversations, just two nerds talking about what we love.Support the show

Angie and Dakota Episode 7 Season 6

This episode took place during a major transitional shift in my life. The path that led to this podcast was ending, and I was about to start a new path with new goals shortly after this episode was recorded. The path Angie helped guide me toward has now reached its end and served its purpose. I have Angie to thank for helping inspire me to take that journey.Angie will be a major part of my life until the day I die. She will always be the woman I point my children toward as someone to look up to and as an inspiration for what a truly brave woman looks like.Support the show

Paige and Dakota Part 2 Episode 6 Season 6

This recording was from four years ago, and I just had the honor of driving across the country to be Paige’s wedding photographer in November 2025. This all stemmed from taking the chance to talk with a stranger at the gym. Just imagine how many beloved people we could have in our lives if we all had the enthusiasm of a Labrador when meeting new people.Support the show

Paige and Dakota Part 1 Episode 5 Season 6

It is wonderful to go back and listen to this episode after all these years. I had only known Paige for a brief time at the time of this recording, but I knew we would become lifelong friends. How many people have the pleasure of having one of the earliest conversations with one of their best friends recorded?Support the show

    Glenn & Dakota Episode 4 Season 6

This conversation is the quintessential episode I will always refer to as the reason I love the Bahá'í Faith and why it inspired me to do this project. This conversation shows how two people with such different belief systems could come together in unity. Glenn lives in another city, and the only reason we met was through a mutual Bahá'í friend who introduced us. I then invited Glenn to come visit and stay with me.It is extremely common in the Bahá'í Faith to visit another city or even another country, go to a complete stranger’s house, and be welcomed for no other reason than that you are both Bahá'ís. I have never seen anything else in my life capable of bringing people together in such a harmonious way. This podcast was always meant to be a way for me to show how, through Bahá'í principles, I could bring quite literally anyone into my home and have a friendly conversation.Support the show

Dakota and Dakota Part 2 Episode 3 Season 6

Dakota has since moved out of state, but I find this a fitting end to the many wonderful conversations we had over the years. Dakota always understood that this kind of dialogue is not about getting a point across, but instead is an opportunity to find common ground and unity.Support the show

Dakota and Dakota Part 1 Episode 2 Season 6

My friendship with Dakota culminated at the same time I was building this podcast. The conversations we had were a major inspiration behind my desire to share positive conversations and interactions as a way to promote unity in the world. I find it fitting that the final season of this podcast, for the foreseeable future, features my favorite conversation I have ever had with him.Support the show

Shauna and Dakota Episode 1 Season 6

This episode was recorded nearly half a decade ago from the time I am posting it. I went through some major life events, and as time went on, I found a lot of these episodes to be reminders of a past version of myself that I did not recognize anymore. I put off editing for years. This podcast represented a major transition in my life: coming into the Bahá'í Faith. It has been difficult to find it within myself to go back and listen to conversations with a past version of me. A secondary goal within this podcast was to become better at the ebb and flow of when to talk, when to listen, and when to cut myself off. Listening back to these episodes, I realize I never quite got it right, but I pray a day comes when I can say, “Wow, look how far I have come.”Support the show
