The Garden Church
by The Garden Church
The Garden is a church for skeptics and saints. It's a church where your bartender could get baptized, where broken marriages are restored, and the last person you'd see in church might be lit on fire by the hope of the Gospel. The Garden is a church that's not bashful about truth but enthusiastic about rich theology so that Christians young and old might be fully equipped. We long to see the whole West Valley renewed by the power and beauty of Jesus.

How To Engage Culture
🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/giving🌎 How should Christians engage a culture that doesn’t share their beliefs? In Acts 17, Paul walks into Athens, one of the intellectual and cultural centers of the ancient world, and refuses two common mistakes: isolation and assimilation. He doesn’t run from the culture, and he doesn’t become indistinguishable from it. Instead, he engages it with love, truth, and the gospel.Guest pastor Tim Chaddick shows how Paul looked carefully at the people around him, understood what they worshiped, and spoke to their deepest longings without compromising the truth. This message challenges Christians to stop hiding from culture, stop blending into it, and start loving people enough to tell them what is true.🔥 Engage with love. Speak with truth. Point people to Jesus.🌎 Learn More: www.thegardenaz.com 🕒 Sundays at 8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM 📲 Stay Connected: Instagram: @thegardenazYouTube: @TheGardenChurchAZ Facebook: The Garden Church 🎙️ Skeptics & Saints Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here 📖 The Garden Church Sermon Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here

You Need A Band of Brother's - Men's And Women's Night Recap
You need a band of brothers (or sisters) That's what many felt at as hundreds gathered at the Men's and Women's Nights this week. This was powerful and special moment, but the question is what do we do with it? In this bonus podcast episode Nolan recaps the night, acknowledges what many of us are feeling, and then challenges us with what to do with the fire we're feeling from the night. ***Small correction of technical theological language from Nolan: “I slipped in using around the Trinity. Good Intentions Aren’t Enough
🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/giving📖 What does it actually take to change a city?In Acts 17, Paul and his team enter Thessalonica and Berea with one unchanging message, Jesus is the Christ. But they don’t move thoughtlessly. They reason, persuade, give evidence, endure opposition, search the Scriptures, and courageously proclaim another King, Jesus. In this message, we look at five things it takes to win cities: strategy, money, bravery, theology, and ultimately, Calvary.🏙️ Strategy: Paul understood where God had positioned him and intentionally brought the gospel into influential places. You don’t need a microphone to make an impact. God has already positioned Christians in homes, businesses, schools, firehouses, neighborhoods, and communities.💰 Money: The gospel has always advanced through ordinary people strategically leveraging their resources for God’s Kingdom. From the prominent women who supported Jesus’ ministry to Christians who funded and distributed Bible translations, generosity gives the gospel wings.🔥 Bravery: When the gospel advances, opposition often follows. Paul and Silas were accused of turning the world upside down because they proclaimed that there is another King, Jesus. Christians don’t retreat when resistance comes. We courageously continue the mission.🧠 Theology: The Bereans didn’t blindly accept Paul’s teaching. They eagerly examined the Scriptures daily to see whether what he said was true. Christianity doesn’t require you to turn off your brain. Skeptics are invited to investigate, Christians are commanded to know what they believe, and every idea should survive biblical scrutiny.✝️ Calvary: At the center of Paul’s argument was one shocking truth, “it was necessary for the Christ to suffer.” We couldn’t have the King without the cross. At Calvary, God’s justice against sin and His mercy toward sinners meet. Jesus suffered, died, and rose again so that God could remain perfectly just while justifying everyone who places their faith in Christ.Whether you’re a business owner, firefighter, parent, student, employee, skeptic, or ministry leader, God has strategically positioned you somewhere.Your first city might be your house. Your mission field might be your workplace. Your opportunity might be sitting across the dinner table. You don’t need a platform to move a city. You need to recognize where God has already positioned you.Cities change when changed people strategically live where God has placed them.🌎 Learn More: www.thegardenaz.com 🕒 Sundays at 8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM 📲 Stay Connected: Instagram: @thegardenazYouTube: @TheGardenChurchAZ Facebook: The Garden Church 🎙️ Skeptics & Saints Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here 📖 The Garden Church Sermon Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here

🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/giving🔥 God is moving in the West Valley. The question is whether you’ll recognize it before you miss it.In Acts 16, God closes doors, redirects Paul’s mission, prepares unlikely soil, and opens the heart of a woman named Lydia. What begins at a quiet riverside becomes the first church on European soil and a launching point for the gospel across an entire continent. This message reveals five signs of a genuine move of God: He directs the mission, prepares the soil, opens hearts, transforms lives, and expands His territory.God is still moving in unlikely places, opening impossible hearts, and inviting ordinary people to offer their homes, resources, and obedience.⚡ Don’t watch from the sidelines. How to Hear the Holy Spirit
🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/givingWe all face huge decisions. The same questions arise: Are we making the right decision? Are we building our lives the right way? Even people who are unsure about God still long for guidance. So where do you turn when the biggest decisions of your life feel beyond you?Through Paul’s second missionary journey in Acts 16, this message unpacks eight practical principles for hearing the Holy Spirit. Don’t drift into empty functional atheism or vague and demonic spirituality. Instead, learn who the Holy Spirit is, how He guides, and what to do when He seems silent. Not Just Decisions—Disciples
🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/giving🤡 We live in a clown world—but Jesus is calling serious disciples. Our culture is great at entertainment, outrage, and distraction, but starving for truth, holiness, and purpose. In Acts 15–16, we get a behind-the-scenes look at how the early church didn’t build shallow followers—they built mature disciples through God’s Word, high standards, sacrificial leadership, and costly disciple-making.This message challenges the casual Christianity that dominates our culture and calls us into something deeper. Following Jesus isn’t about taking yourself seriously—it’s about taking Him seriously. Salvation is free, but being sent comes with a cost.⚔️ Stop settling for comfortable Christianity. Build Something (In a World that Breaks Everything)
🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/giving🔥 It’s easy to tear things down. It’s much harder to build something that lasts. In Acts 15, the early church faces one of its greatest theological crises. The solution isn’t compromise, tradition, or opinion—it is the Word of God. As barriers fall, Jesus isn’t dismantling His people; He’s rebuilding His Kingdom, bringing Jews and Gentiles together through grace alone. This message is a call to stop merely deconstructing and start building. Whether you’re called to lead, disciple, serve, encourage, host, pray, or go, God is inviting you to join what He is building in the West Valley and beyond.🌅 After darkness comes light. The question isn’t whether God is building His Kingdom. The question is: Will you help build it with Him?***Note from Pastor Nolan:"I misspoke at 35:57 using a reference to the metaphorical concept of a "thin space" between heaven and earth in the Old Testament. There is no such thing as a thin space in the Bible. This is actual a pagan concept. My point was to use a word picture for what it would look like if "Heaven broke in" metaphorically speaking. I still think it's a beautiful analogy but need to clarify it's not a reality. I need to clarify there are no thin spaces biblically."🌎 Learn More: www.thegardenaz.com 🕒 Sundays at 8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM 📲 Stay Connected: Instagram: @thegardenazYouTube: @TheGardenChurchAZ Facebook: The Garden Church 🎙️ Skeptics & Saints Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here 📖 The Garden Church Sermon Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here

“Saved By Works” Is a Damndable Lie
🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/giving🔥 What would you be willing to die for?William Tyndale gave his life so ordinary people could read one life-changing truth for themselves: we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. In Acts 15, that same gospel comes under attack as some insisted Jesus wasn’t enough—that salvation required something more. But the apostles refused to compromise, because adding anything to Christ doesn’t improve the gospel… it destroys it.This message unpacks one of the most important doctrines in Christianity: justification by faith alone. If you’ve ever wondered whether you’ve done enough, been good enough, or cleaned yourself up enough for God, this message is for you.✝️ Jesus + anything = no gospel. Jesus alone is enough. The Anti-Christ Spirit
🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/givingThe battle isn’t just against people. It’s against a spiritual resistance that has opposed Jesus from the very beginning. In Acts 14, Paul and Barnabas face rejection, false worship, persecution, and violence, yet the gospel keeps advancing. Why? Because the same spirit that rejects Christ recruits others, magnifies people instead of God, and swings from idolizing leaders to tearing them down. But God’s mission cannot be stopped. This message exposes the spiritual forces behind opposition, challenges us to raise bold—not merely safe—disciples, and reminds us that the church exists to make, mature, and multiply followers of Jesus. Don’t build your faith on personalities. Build it on Christ.⚔️ The world may reject Jesus, but the Church must keep proclaiming Him with courage.🌎 Learn More: www.thegardenaz.com 🕒 Sundays at 8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM 📲 Stay Connected: Instagram: @thegardenazYouTube: @TheGardenChurchAZ Facebook: The Garden Church 🎙️ Skeptics & Saints Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here 📖 The Garden Church Sermon Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here

You Can’t Stay Neutral
🌱🗺️🌵Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/giving🔥 You can resist Jesus. You can respond to Jesus. But you cannot remain neutral about Jesus. In Acts 13, the entire city gathers to hear the gospel, and two radically different responses emerge. Some rejoice, believe, and are filled with joy. Others grow jealous, reject the message, and drive Paul away. The same gospel that melts one heart hardens another. Why? Because our biggest problem isn’t a lack of evidence. It’s often the presence of pride. This message tackles one of the most consequential questions in human history: What will you do with Jesus? If He really is Lord, neutrality is not an option. His resurrection demands a response.⚡ The gospel still divides, still transforms, and still spreads. Are Mormons & Jehovah’s Witnesses Christian? | The Truth About False Prophets
Pastor Skyler Sermon: https://youtu.be/QTW1qQbSxEUFalse prophets aren’t just a problem from Bible times. They’re still influencing people, families, and entire generations today. In this episode of Skeptics & Saints, Pastor Skyler, Miguel, and Justin dive deep into Acts 13, where the Apostle Paul confronts a false prophet who is actively trying to keep someone from believing in Jesus. From that encounter, we explore what Scripture teaches about spiritual deception, false teachers, and how Christians can discern truth from error. We also tackle some of the biggest questions people ask:• Are Mormons Christians?• Are Jehovah’s Witnesses Christians?• What is a false prophet?• How do false teachers distort Scripture?• Why are people drawn to deceptive teachings?• How can Christians lovingly engage friends and family in these groups? Most importantly, we discuss why knowing your Bible matters. The best defense against deception isn’t becoming an expert on every false teaching. It’s becoming deeply rooted in the truth of God’s Word.📖 Acts 13📖 Galatians 1📖 1 Timothy 4📖 2 John📖 Matthew 24Whether you’re a skeptic, a saint, someone exploring Christianity, or someone wrestling through questions about Mormonism or Jehovah’s Witnesses, this conversation is designed to help you think biblically, ask good questions, and pursue truth.

Nothing worth living for… and definitely nothing worth dying for.But then you meet Stephen.Acts 7 gives us the first martyr in church history, a man so convinced of Jesus that even death couldn’t shake him. Why? Because when you truly see Christ, everything changes. Fear loses its grip. Purpose floods your life. Even your enemies become people you want to win, not destroy. This message confronts the emptiness of modern life and answers one question:Why do people reject the Gospel… and what happens when you don’t?You’ll see how Jesus turns ordinary people into:🔥 Bullet-proof believers (not untouched by suffering, but unafraid of it)🔥 Soul-winners (people who love their enemies and live on mission)In a world where everything feels uncertain, fragile, and collapsing…there is still something unshakable.Big Idea:In a world with nothing to live for… we have something to die for. ✝️This one will challenge you, confront you, and call you up.🌎 Learn More: www.thegardenaz.com 🕒 Sundays at 8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM | 12:30 PM📲 Stay Connected: Instagram: @thegardenazYouTube: @TheGardenChurchAZ Facebook: The Garden Church 🎙️ Skeptics & Saints Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here 📖 The Garden Church Sermon Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here

If the Gospel Is Good, Why Do People Reject It?
Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/givingWhy do people reject the Gospel if it’s such good news? 🤔In Acts 7, Stephen tells the uncomfortable truth, God has always pursued His people, and people have always resisted Him. From Joseph to Moses to the prophets, God kept sending deliverers, and they kept getting rejected. The pattern reaches its climax in Jesus. The real issue isn’t evidence. It’s the human heart. We prefer idols we can control over a holy God who calls us to surrender. But the Gospel is still good news, Jesus didn’t just expose our sin, He paid for it. ✝️The question is the same today as it was then:Will you resist Him… or respond?🌎 Learn More: www.thegardenaz.com 🕒 Sundays at 8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM | 12:30 PM📲 Stay Connected: Instagram: @thegardenazYouTube: @TheGardenChurchAZ Facebook: The Garden Church 🎙️ Skeptics & Saints Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here 📖 The Garden Church Sermon Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here

Christianity Is Not A Spectator's Sport
Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/givingThe church was exploding… and the biggest threat wasn’t persecution. It was passivity. ⚠️In Acts 6, thousands were coming to Christ, but a dangerous problem surfaced, people were becoming spectators instead of builders. When movements grow, they don’t collapse from opposition first, they fracture from lack of ownership. This message confronts the modern temptation to consume church like entertainment in an attention economy. The future of the Church will not be built by passive observers, but by families, leaders, and disciples who carry the mission of Jesus. 🛠️Because the church isn’t a show you watch. Take Ground Against the Odds
God doesn’t call you into comfort, He calls you into resistance. In our soft, frictionless version of American Christianity, we’ve confused “easy” with “God.” We treat open doors like divine approval and closed doors like a polite no. But the God who sent His Son into a world that crucified Him doesn’t lead His people by convenience.Isaiah saw the Lord, high and lifted up, and it shattered his small, domesticated view of God. 😳🔥 Seraphim shielding their faces, thresholds shaking, smoke filling the temple, and Isaiah realizing, “I am undone.”Then grace hits, guilt is lifted, sin is atoned for, and the only response is, “Here am I. Send me.”Because the King who was lifted up in glory was lifted up on a cross for you. ✝️Take Ground: Pray with us and consider giving toward what God is building.Give here 👉 https://thegardenaz.churchcenter.com/giving🌎 Learn More: www.thegardenaz.com 🕒 Sundays at 8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM | 12:30 PM📲 Stay Connected: Instagram: @thegardenazYouTube: @TheGardenChurchAZ Facebook: The Garden Church 🎙️ Skeptics & Saints Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here 📖 The Garden Church Sermon Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here

When Angels Open Doors
Prison doors don’t open for comfort, they open for mission. 🔥🔓In this message, we follow Brother Andrew smuggling Bibles behind the Iron Curtain, praying a reckless prayer, “Lord… make seeing eyes blind,” and watching God do the impossible. Then Acts turns the volume up, an angel kicks open a jail cell, not so the apostles can breathe easy, but so they can go right back to preaching “all the words of this Life.”Here’s the punch, God opens doors for His purposes, not our preferences. The Danger of Deception
In Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira try to “look holy” without being holy, and their deception doesn’t just backfire, it drops them. 💀 Why would God judge so fast, so hard? Because God guards where God dwells. What do you do when obeying God could cost you everything?Acts 3–4 shows us a church that refuses comfort and chooses courage. A miracle sparks belief, the resurrection provokes outrage, and opposition exposes what kind of faith the disciples really have. Like Martin Luther standing before the powers of his day, Peter and John preach Christ anyway, pray boldly, and leave shaken but unashamed. 💥🙏This message traces the unstoppable flow of the early church, from power → persuasion → persecution → prayer, and asks a piercing question: are we more committed to self-preservation or the resurrection? You were made for war. 2026 can’t be another year about trying to get less out of shape and making zero difference in the spiritual war all around us. A Humble King for a Hopeless World
Have you ever wondered if God is really at work… or if life should look bigger than this? Christmas isn’t a Hallmark moment, it’s a hostile takeover. The Gospel invades real history, real empires, and real pain, not with power plays, but with a baby in a manger. Luke 2 exposes a clash of kingdoms: Caesar’s loud empire versus Jesus’ quiet reign. While the proud miss Him, the humble see Him. This King doesn’t crush His enemies, He’s crushed for them. If your life feels small, overlooked, or hopeless, don’t assume God is absent. More Than You're Asking For
Have you grown jaded to the things of God? Cynical, tired, settled for less than wonder? 😮💨 In Acts 3, Peter and John walk into an ordinary prayer hour, and God explodes it with an extraordinary miracle. A nameless, lifelong beggar asks for spare change, but Jesus gives him something money could never buy, new life. This message confronts our tendency to settle for lesser things and invites us back into awe, faith, and expectation. Jesus doesn’t just support us in our brokenness, He heals us, lifts us up, and sends us leaping with praise. 🙌If you’ve been longing for more, this sermon is a reminder that more is exactly what Jesus offers. What Are You Waiting For?
⏳ THE BATTLE PLAN FOR THE WAITING ROOM (Acts 1:12–26)We hate waiting. We love speed, hustle, and instant results. But in Acts 1, the disciples show us that uncertainty is not evidence of God’s absence—it’s His training ground. While they waited, they didn’t drift, doomscroll, or tap out. They prayed and obeyed, read and applied, relied and testified. 🙏📖This message unpacks how Christian waiting is active, not passive. You don’t go into a battle without a battle plan.In Acts 1, Jesus gives His followers one. By The Will Of God - Mark Clark
No one is too broken for God to use. 💥In this deeply convicting message, guest speaker Mark Clark walks through Ephesians 1:1–2, showing how the Apostle Paul—once a murderer and enemy of the Church—was transformed by grace to become one of its greatest leaders.Mark shares his own story of growing up in a non-Christian home, battling Tourette’s syndrome, and being called to plant a church in one of the most secular cities in the world. Through humor, personal stories, and gospel truth, he reminds us that:God doesn’t use you because of your strength, but in spite of your weakness.Religion says “try harder.” The gospel says “it’s finished.”You don’t have to be perfect—just willing to let Jesus lead your life. Our good Father pursues us, even when we run. 🕊️The message calls us to drop comparison, stop performing, and remember that grace and peace come to you—personally—from a God who loves to redeem the unqualified.🌎 Learn More: www.thegardenaz.com 🕒 Sundays at 8:00 AM | 9:30 AM | 11:00 AM | 12:30 PM📲 Stay Connected: Instagram: @thegardenazYouTube: @TheGardenChurchAZ Facebook: The Garden Church 🎙️ Skeptics & Saints Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here 📖 The Garden Church Sermon Podcast – Apple: Listen Here Spotify: Listen Here

ABOUT THIS SHOW
The Garden is a church for skeptics and saints.
