Gary Zukav In The Wild
In this Deepcast episode, Gary Zukav explores a question that sounds simple but runs deep: what does it really mean to be wild? He makes clear that wildness has nothing to do with recklessness or lawlessness. It means living beyond the control of fear. Wild and control, he explains, are mutually exclusive, just like love and fear. Gary shares how, for most of his life, frightened parts of his personality quietly ran the show, including the need to impress, to gain, and to appear a certain way, from his years as a paratrooper and Green Beret officer to the self-imposed decorum he later adopted as a spiritual teacher. Drawing on the discovery of the unconscious by early psychotherapy, he explains that whatever we don't know about ourselves doesn't disappear; it controls us anyway, often surfacing as projection onto the people around us. The way through, Gary explains, is to identify these frightened parts, create distance from them through conscious awareness, and choose from that space of choice, because beyond the control of fear is love, and love is authentic power. What You’ll Discover in This Episode (00:02) — What "wild" actually means: not lawlessness or chaos, but freedom from the control of fear, and why wild and control are mutually exclusive, just like love and fear. (03:07) — How frightened parts of personality — the need to please, to gain, to control — quietly run the show, and why what stays unconscious in us ends up controlling us instead. (06:59) — Projection as a mirror: how strong reactions to what we dislike in others reveal the very parts of ourselves we haven't yet acknowledged. (10:16) — The pain of powerlessness, and the shift from five-sensory humans reaching outward to control the world, to multisensory humans learning to look inward instead. (13:55) — Naming the frightened parts — fear, anger, judgment, entitlement — and creating the "arm's length" distance needed to choose consciously rather than react. (17:44) — Why fear is control, and why love — not sentimental, but authentic power — is what remains once that control dissolves. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, notice a moment when you feel yourself trying to control something outside of you: a person, an outcome, or how you're perceived. Pause and ask yourself: what frightened part of my personality is driving this need for control? Is this coming from fear, or from love? Keep a soul notebook of what you notice, and at the end of the week, look back to see where you found the courage to walk on the wild side, beyond fear's control and into love. Authentic Power vs. External Power: Gary Zukav Explains the Difference
Are you creating with love or fear in your life? Take this self-assessment today to find out: https://seatofthesoul.com/cultivating-love-optin/ In this Soul Snack, Gary Zukav examines the meaning of Authentic Power and distinguishes it from external power. He introduces the transformation in human consciousness now underway, and describes the choice available in every moment between two ways of living: one grounded in gratitude, patience, and contentment, and one dominated by anger, worry, and despair. Gary explores how external power - the ability to control or manipulate the physical world - has shaped human history through tools, weapons, agriculture, and technology, and was long equated with strength and safety. He explains that this same kind of power, the power to dominate and force compliance, now produces only violence and destruction, and reveals how the very understanding of power that once enabled humanity’s survival now interferes with its evolution. The alternative Gary offers is Authentic Power: the alignment of personality with soul, a sustainable source of safety and value that does not depend on domination or control. (00:02) — The new consciousness transforming the human species, presenting a choice in every moment between a life of gratitude, patience, and contentment, and one of anger, worry, and despair. (01:12) — Authentic Power is defined as the alignment of personality with soul, distinct from external power such as a weapon or military force. (01:50) — External power - the ability to control and manipulate - is shown to produce only violence and destruction, and its role in developing tools, weapons, agriculture, and technology throughout human history is traced. (02:49) — The very power that enabled the human species to survive is revealed as now interfering with its evolution. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a moment recently when you sought to feel safe or valuable through controlling a person, a situation, or an outcome. Pause and ask yourself: what would it look like to find that same safety from within, through the alignment of your personality with your soul, rather than through control? Why Grief Hurts: Gary Zukav on Losing Linda Francis and What Love Really Is
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen Here: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this Deepcast episode, Gary Zukav asks a simple but far‑reaching question: Where does the heart flow? He distinguishes love from need, explaining that romantic attachment is often rooted in unconsciousness rather than genuine connection. To illustrate the difference, he shares the deeply personal story of his twenty‑seven‑year partnership with Linda Francis, and what he discovered about love when her soul returned home. When Linda died, Gary found himself in a pain so intense that he questioned how he would survive the first night without her. It was in that pain that he uncovered a distinction he hadn’t fully understood before: the ache he felt wasn’t coming from his love for Linda, but from the frightened parts of his personality clinging to the safety and comfort of her physical presence. A message from his angelic guide, Genesis, revealed that love itself carries no pain - only fear does. The path forward, Gary explains, is recognizing that the heart always flows toward love because the Universe is love, and nothing, including each of us, is separate from it. What You’ll Discover in This Episode (03:35) — The difference between romantic attachment rooted in need and the soul‑level connection Gary shared with his life partner, Linda Francis, over twenty‑seven years together. (06:39) — The first night after Linda’s soul returned home, and the decision to fully experience the pain rather than escape it. (10:03) — A message from the angel Genesis revealing that the pain of loss comes from frightened parts of the personality clinging to physical presence, not from love itself. (13:41) — What the Universe actually is - an intelligent, loving presence beyond the vastness of space and matter, and why that understanding changes everything about how we see ourselves. (17:40) — The shift from five‑sensory to multisensory perception and toward universal humanity, and what that evolution means for where the heart flows. (24:50) — Why “other” is an illusion of the Earth School, and how recognizing our unbroken connection reshapes the experience of love and loss. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, when you feel the pain of a loss or a longing for someone or something to be different than it is, pause and ask yourself: is this pain coming from love, or from fear? Notice where you're clinging to how things used to be versus where you're open to what is. Your Personality Is an Earth Suit: Gary Zukav on the Practice of Reverence
Join the Seat of the Soul monthly newsletter and receive weekly, wisdom filled, insights from Gary: https://seatofthesoul.com/soul-connections-newsletter/ In this Soul Snack, Gary Zukav explores reverence as the experience of perceiving beyond appearance and into essence, a direct, essence-to-essence contact with a person, an animal, a plant, or any living thing. He explains that an unprecedented new consciousness is transforming the human species, and that every moment offers a choice between two inner worlds: one rooted in gratitude, patience, and contentment, and one rooted in anger, worry, and despair. Gary illustrates the difference between essence and appearance through the image of a beloved friend showing up to a dinner party in an outfit you don't care for. He explains that what someone wears has nothing to do with who they are, their joys, challenges, and aspirations, and that as a person becomes multisensory, they begin to experience themselves as a soul wearing a personality, rather than being their personality. The invitation is simple: recognize the personality, with all its attributes, as an "earth suit" that the soul adopts and uses for a period of time to grow, and let reverence be the practice of looking past that suit to the essence underneath. What You’ll Discover in This Episode (00:02) — Reverence is defined as perceiving beyond the shell of appearance and into the essence of a thing, a person, a bird, a plant, or an animal - an essence‑to‑essence experience. (01:12) — The metaphor of a friend arriving at a dinner party in an outfit you dislike illustrates that appearance - what someone wears, or their personality itself - is an aspect of the Earth School, separate from who they truly are. (01:12) — Becoming multisensory is described as the shift from experiencing yourself only as a personality to experiencing yourself as a soul, with your personality as an appearance that clothes your essence rather than defines it. (02:39) — Personality and all of its attributes are described as “earth suits” - garments the soul adapts and adopts for a time, used by the soul to grow in the areas it has chosen to grow. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of someone in your life whose appearance, style, or personality traits you find yourself reacting to or judging. Why the World Cup Just Revealed the Rise of the New Male
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen Here: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this Deepcast episode, Gary Zukav turns to the World Cup once again, this time to explore what it reveals about the emergence of the new male archetype. He points to moments of tenderness, forgiveness, and soul-to-soul connection on display among world-class athletes, and suggests that these moments are not exceptions but evidence of a consciousness already reshaping how humanity understands strength, power, and worth in the Earth School. For generations, the old consciousness tied self-worth to winning, protecting, and providing, leaving little room for tenderness or for those who did not come home with gold. Gary recalls a message given to him nearly thirty years ago by an angelic guide named Genesis, who told him the entire human species was acquiring a new consciousness within three generations. He points to a moment from the World Cup, opposing players consoling a goalie who failed to stop the winning goal, as a living expression that this shift, and the new male within it, is already here. The path forward, Gary explains, is to recognize that authentic power is created, not won and that the new consciousness competes not to prove its worth, but simply to give its best. What You’ll Discover in This Episode (01:10) — Why the old consciousness tied self‑worth to winning and losing, and why that reality is already losing its power for half the human species. (04:41) — Maya Angelou’s insight about being remembered for how we make people feel, and why it reveals what this World Cup will ultimately be remembered for. (08:06) — A nearly thirty‑year‑old message from the angel Genesis predicting the rise of a new human consciousness, and how the World Cup is becoming an expression of it. (11:00) — The moment opposing players consoled a goalie after a missed save, and what it reveals about tenderness replacing the old story of victory and defeat in the Earth School. (15:36) — The distinction between the personality that lives and dies and the immortal soul beneath it, and what that distinction means for how we experience and understand ourselves. (21:10) — Why the new consciousness competes not to win but to give, and the question of what your best is, and when you will choose to offer it as a contribution of love. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, before you speak or act, pause and ask yourself: am I coming from love, or from fear? Notice the moments when a loving part of you shows up instead of a frightened one, tenderness where you expected judgment, giving where you expected to compete. The One Question That Turns Fear Into Authentic Power
Join the Seat of the Soul monthly newsletter and receive weekly, wisdom filled, insights from Gary: https://seatofthesoul.com/soul-connections-newsletter/ In this Soul Snack, Gary Zukav explores the difference between reacting unconsciously from old patterns and consciously choosing a different path. He explains that an unprecedented new consciousness is transforming the human species, and that every moment offers a choice between two inner worlds: one rooted in gratitude, patience, and contentment, and one rooted in anger, worry, and despair. Gary describes what happens internally when emotions coming from fear are activated - a frightened part of the personality that wants to react, please, or protect, pulling against what an individual knows to be true. He explains that when someone cannot support another in creating Authentic Power, it is often because they are operating from a frightened part of their personality, such as the part that needs to please others. The invitation is simple: in each moment of emotional awareness, a person can choose to infuse their actions and words with love instead of fear - and that choice, made moment by moment, is what creating Authentic Power actually means. What You’ll Discover in This Episode (00:02) — An unprecedented shift in consciousness is described as transforming the entire human species, with both an old and a new world calling for your awareness and your choice. (01:12) — Choosing love over fear in moments of emotional activation, rather than reacting from frightened parts of the personality, is presented as the heart of creating Authentic Power. (02:39) — Choices made moment by moment between love and fear are identified as the central curriculum of the Earth School. (03:35) — The soul is described as immortal and unable to tolerate brutality, violence, or being lied to, revealing how each daily choice affects the well‑being of the soul. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a recent moment when you felt torn - pulled between reacting the way you always have and choosing something different. Why Millions of Strangers Are Cheering for Each Other
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen Here: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav steps away from his usual evergreen approach to explore something happening in real time: the World Cup, and what it reveals about the new human consciousness emerging across our species. He invites us to see the tournament not as a passing news event, but as a vivid expression of a transformation already underway, a shift from the old consciousness built on winning, manipulation, and control, to the new consciousness rooted in harmony, cooperation, and reverence for life. Gary draws a clear distinction between cooperation and co-creation. Cooperation can still serve a goal, even a limited or destructive one. Co-creation arises from the heart, serves the well-being of all, and dissolves the old hierarchies of stronger versus weaker, bigger versus smaller. He points to fans wearing the colors of countries not their own, Americans in orange for the Dutch, in plaid for the Scots, as small but unmistakable signs that fear-based stories about "the other" are losing their power in real time. The World Cup, Gary suggests, is showing us what we already are beneath the appearance of competition: not separate teams and nations, but one human family discovering itself through the heart, a species becoming multisensory, learning to give rather than to conquer. What You’ll Discover in This Episode (04:42) — Why Gary is setting aside his usual evergreen approach to talk about the World Cup as a real‑time expression of the new consciousness. (07:14) — The distinction between cooperation and co‑creation, and why only one of them truly serves the well‑being of all. (09:17) — How fans wearing another nation’s colors - and the real story behind stereotypes about Mexico - reveal fear‑based narratives losing their power. (11:33) — The deeper “technology of the soul” beneath the World Cup’s global reach, and why it runs deeper than the technology connecting screens. (16:43) — What it means to be a species becoming multi‑sensory rather than a space‑faring one, and why that reframes humanity’s entire future. (18:11) — The real question beneath “who wins the World Cup?” - and why it cannot be answered by a final score. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, notice a moment - in a game, a conversation, or somewhere in your own life - when your heart moves toward someone outside your familiar “team.” Notice the instant a stranger’s win or loss touches you as if it were your own. Oprah Winfrey: The One Line That Changed How She Sees Purpose
Join Gary LIVE every month as shares his wisdom and answers your questions live. REGISTER HERE for An Evening with Gary Zukav: www.seatofthesoul.com/eveningwithgaryzukav In this Soul Snack, Oprah Winfrey reflects on what it truly means to live in Authentic Power. Speaking to a graduating class, she shares that her favorite line from The Seat of the Soul is that when personality comes to serve the energy of the soul, that is authentic empowerment - and she invites listeners to consider what it looks like to actually live that alignment. Oprah explains that everyone carries both a personality shaped by skills, talents, and passions, and a soul with its own deeper purpose. The real work isn't choosing between the two - it's learning to align them, so that what a person does with their life reflects who they truly are at the soul level. The solution: when your personality aligns with soul purpose, no one can touch that sense of certainty - a person wakes up energized, clear, and unshakably connected to their reason for being here. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:43) — Authentic empowerment is defined as the moment personality comes to serve the energy of the soul. (01:13) — Aligning developed skills and passions with the soul's deeper purpose is presented as work available to everyone. (01:42) — Alignment between personality and purpose creates an unshakable sense of energy and certainty in daily life. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of an area of your life where your personality - your skills, habits, or ways of doing things - may not yet be serving your soul's deeper purpose. The World Is Not Out There | What About the World
Are you ready to live Beyond the Five Sense? Learn how HERE: www.seatofthesoul.com/beyondthefivesensescourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav continues the What About the World series by picking up a thread from last time: you are not someone who has perceptions, you are your perceptions! He asks listeners to follow that shift all the way through, into what happens to the line between "in here" and "out there," and why an objective world outside you starts to look less like reality and more like a fantasy of the old consciousness. The old consciousness needs a "this" and a "that" - a self relating to a world it stands apart from. Gary shows why that framework falls apart once the new consciousness takes hold, where there is no outside, only one continuous field each person uniquely expresses. This is also where the Earth School comes back into view: a structured field for the most fundamental lesson there is - choice - and everyone in it is always choosing between love and fear. The way through isn't a better explanation of the world, but the end of standing outside it. Once you stop trying to see the picture and recognize you are the picture, the world stops happening around you and starts happening as you. What You'll Discover in This Episode (02:10) — Why the old consciousness limits you to the perceptions of the five senses, and how the new consciousness dissolves the beginnings and endings that appear so solid from that perception. (04:07) — The reintroduction of the series question "What about the world?" and why taking "you are your perceptions" seriously means there's no longer an "I" standing behind them. (10:51) — Why the Earth School exists to teach exactly one thing - choice - and why every choice, without exception, comes down to love or fear. (13:39) — The moment the episode's title comes into focus: you don't have the picture, you aren't in the picture, you are the picture. (17:08) — Why a perception, seen through the new consciousness, reveals the structure of the perceiver rather than anything true about the world being perceived. (19:05) — How humanity built its image of God out of a five-sensory fear of power and control, and why the Sufi mystic Hafiz's teaching - that you are the creator of God - points toward what the new consciousness is actually revealing. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, notice the moments when you feel like you're standing outside of something - a conversation, a relationship, your own life - watching it happen to you rather than as you. When you catch that feeling, pause and ask: am I seeing this as separate from me, or can I find where I am this, too? You don't need an answer. Just notice who's asking. The Real Reason You React in Anger (And How to Stop)
Join the Seat of the Soul monthly newsletter and receive weekly, wisdom filled, insights from Gary: https://seatofthesoul.com/soul-connections-newsletter/ In this Soul Snack, Gary Zukav redefines what courage really means. He shares that he once believed courage meant risking his life - jumping out of airplanes, running secret military patrols - but discovered that none of that came close to the courage it now takes him to stop a power struggle with his Spiritual Partner, Linda Francis, or to sit with his own pain instead of acting from it.. Gary explains that beneath every destructive behavior - shouting in anger, withdrawing in jealousy, judging, numbing out with food, substances, or sex - is emotional pain in the body’s energy processing centers. Ignoring that pain does not make it disappear. It allows a frightened part of your personality to act without your awareness, while feeling it instead of acting on it requires a different, deeper kind of courage than any physical risk ever did. The solution Gary offers: true courage today means feeling your pain without acting on it - choosing not to react in anger, not to enter the power struggle - because this is how authentic power is created, and authentic power, unlike external power, can never be taken from you. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:40) — The deepest power struggles aren't external; they're the ones between a person's own frightened parts and another person's frightened parts, both fighting to win. (03:03) — External power can be fought for and lost, but authentic power can only be created — never taken - making every "win" in a power struggle a hollow one. (04:00) — Destructive patterns like anger, withdrawal, judgment, and addiction are driven by emotional pain in the body's energy processing centers, and courage means facing that pain instead of letting it drive you unconsciously. (05:22) — Choosing not to act on anger - clenched fists, clenched jaw, and all - marks the first real step into a new kind of courage, one that changes who and what you draw into your life. (06:52) — Over time, this practice evolves from simply not reacting to actually listening to the other person, even while still feeling outraged. (07:24) — Cultural conditioning teaches that "rising to the bait" is brave, but real courage is refusing to take bait offered by someone else's fear. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a recent moment when you felt the pull of anger, judgment, or the urge to win a power struggle. What Really Happens When You Die | What About the World
Are you ready to live Beyond the Five Sense? Learn how HERE: www.seatofthesoul.com/beyondthefivesensescourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav takes on the biggest attachment there is: the attachment to the Earth School itself, and the fear of ending that lives inside it. Speaking through a thunderstorm outside his window, he uses the 1986 Challenger disaster as a mirror for how the old consciousness sees death - a total systems crash, with nothing left and nothing retrievable. It's a bleak picture, and one that has shaped how most of us have been taught to fear the end of your life. The new consciousness tells a different story. The body doesn't crash, it's released, because the soul no longer needs it and returns home. Gary traces this thread through religion's attempts to soften the terror of death with heaven and hell, and shows why those are projections of the old consciousness rather than truth about what actually happens. The way through the fear of ending is a single, simple realization: you are not someone who has perceptions - you are your perception, and that is the part of you that continues after your body dies. What You'll Discover in This Episode (03:10) — Why the attachment to the Earth School itself is bigger than any other attachment, including the ones to health, appearance, or the people closest to you. (05:56) — The Challenger launch and explosion as a metaphor for how the old consciousness experiences death: a full systems crash with no retrieval, ever. (09:07) — Why the new consciousness sees the body's death not as a crash but as a release, as the soul returns home once its instrument is no longer needed. (12:11) — Why heaven, hell, and eternal damnation are projections of the old consciousness rather than realities of what follows death. (14:54) — The central teaching of the episode: you are not having perceptions, you are your perceptions, and that changes everything about what continues after the body ends. (20:51) — What survives when the body doesn't, told through a personal story of unbearable physical pain and the discovery of the awareness that doesn't touch it. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, notice where fear of ending shows up, not just fear of death, but fear of any ending: a relationship, a chapter, a version of yourself. When you feel that fear tighten in your body, pause and ask: is this the personality afraid of the crash, or can I find the awareness that isn't touched by it? You don't need an answer. Why You Can't Feel Close to Anyone (And How to Change That)
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn how to tune in and listen HERE: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this Soul Snack, Gary Zukav answers one of the most universal questions people carry: how do I create intimacy? He explains that intimacy can only be created through love, and that in order to create with love, a person must first learn to recognize it - distinguishing it clearly within themselves from fear. Gary explains that love and fear are the only two energies available to us. Fear shows up as distance, power struggles, judgment, and exploitation, and it always hurts. Love shows up as gratitude, appreciation, caring, patience, and contentment, and it always feels good. Creating authentic power means learning to tell these two energies apart within yourself, moment by moment, no matter the circumstance. The solution Gary offers: true intimacy comes not from another person's behavior, but from choosing love over fear consistently, which allows a person to align their personality with their soul and experience intimate connection with everyone, regardless of how others show up. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:02) — The question of how to create intimacy is reframed: the only way to create it is through love. (01:05) — Recognizing love is the first step; without it, creating with love - and intimacy itself - remains out of reach. (02:34) — Fear-based experiences like power struggles, judgment, and exploitation are illusions, while love is the only thing that is real. (04:37) — Victor Frankl's story from a Nazi concentration camp illustrates how love is the one thing that can never be taken away. (06:20) — Choosing love over fear is the creation of authentic power - the ability to align personality with soul. (07:20) — This alignment transforms every relationship into an intimate one, regardless of how the other person shows up. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a recent moment when you felt disconnected from someone - through judgment, distance, or frustration. The One Attachment You Never Knew You Had | What About the World
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen Here: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav continues the conversation on attachment, moving from the small and easily missed to the one attachment beneath all others. He begins with micro attachments - a spot on a shirt before a meeting - showing how even the smallest irritation produces the same signature as every attachment: painful physical sensations in the body's energy processing centers paired with judgmental, critical thoughts. This is a frightened part of your personality at work, preventing love. From there, Gary opens the doorway into romantic love, tracing the pattern of falling for someone, discovering who they really are, and repeating the cycle with a new partner in a new city, only to find the same pain waiting. He distinguishes romantic love, pure, unconscious, projected need, from love itself, and shows why pursuing external power to relieve inner pain leads only to violence and destruction. The solution is the shift already underway in our species: replacing the old consciousness's pursuit of external power with the new understanding of power as alignment of personality with soul, recognizing attachment as a doorway to authentic power rather than misery. What You'll Discover in This Episode (00:02) — How a "micro attachment," like a spot on a shirt before a meeting, reveals a frightened part of personality through physical sensation and critical thought. (06:22) — Why romantic love is a projected need, not love, and how the pattern of falling for someone, then discovering who they are, repeats until the real commonality - you - is recognized. (09:09) — Why external power, manipulating and controlling the world to relieve inner pain, produces only violence and destruction and never resolves what's happening inside. (11:43) — The shift from old to new consciousness, and how power is redefined from manipulation and control to alignment of personality with soul. (18:58) — Naming the biggest attachment in the Earth School: not to a person or outcome, but to the Earth School itself. (21:09) — A preview of what's ahead: moving beyond the fear that a frightened part of your personality carries around this ultimate attachment. Stop Searching for a Savior: The Truth About Romantic Relationships
Are you making choices in love or fear? Take this self-assessment today to find out: https://seatofthesoul.com/cultivating-love-optin/ In this Soul Snack, Gary Zukav responds to a listener who has spent decades searching for a romantic companion to bring lasting satisfaction. He reframes the question, explaining that what she is really seeking is not romance but spiritual growth - a life of awareness, joy, vitality, and co-creativity that no romantic relationship can provide. Gary explains that a spiritual partnership is fundamentally different from a romantic one: it's a relationship between equals - whether two people, a family, a work group, or a team - who are each committed to their own spiritual development. When someone searches for a partner to make them feel more alive, attractive, or complete, they attract another person doing the same searching, and the resulting romantic attraction fades once the "honeymoon" period ends and each person's full humanity comes into view. The solution Gary offers: rather than searching for someone else to complete them, a person becomes the loving, grounded presence they wish to attract - someone who gives from the heart rather than from need, and who can support a partner's spiritual growth without trying to control or rescue. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:02) — A listener's decades-long search for a romantic companion reveals a deeper question about what she is truly seeking. (01:12) — A spiritual partnership is defined as a partnership between equals committed to spiritual growth, whether between two people, a family, or a team. (02:39) — Searching for someone to meet emotional needs draws in a partner doing the same, explaining why the "honeymoon phase" does not last. (04:06) — A meaningful partnership means feeling safe exploring fears and cultivating strengths together on the journey toward authentic power. (05:32) — Becoming the loving, grounded presence one hopes to attract is the real path forward. (06:28) — Spiritual partners help each other recognize whether a choice comes from fear or love, without making that choice for the other. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a time you looked to another person to make you feel more whole, alive, or worthy. Pause and ask yourself: was I hoping this person would rescue me from a part of myself I didn't want to face? What would it look like to give yourself, right now, what you were hoping someone else would provide? Why You Can't Let Go (And What It's Teaching You) | What About the World
Are you ready to live Beyond the Five Sense? Learn how HERE.: www.seatofthesoul.com/beyondthefivesensescourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav turns to a subject humanity has wrestled with for millennia: attachment. For thousands of years, teachings like the Buddha's Four Noble Truths named desire as the root of suffering, but Gary reexamines this wisdom through the new multisensory consciousness now emerging in the species, revealing a more precise picture of where attachment comes from. Using the framework of loving and frightened parts of your personality, Gary traces attachment to a single source: a frightened part of your personality, which reaches toward the earth rather than the soul. This attachment is not just emotionally uncomfortable but physically painful, felt in the body's energy centers, and acting on it - through anger, judgment, or compulsion - only deepens the attachment from which it springs. The solution lies in reframing attachment not as an enemy but a teacher: it reveals exactly which parts of the personality block love, giving each person the raw material to consciously choose love over fear and build authentic power. What You'll Discover in This Episode (00:02) — Why the Buddha's ancient teaching that desire causes suffering requires updating for a multisensory species, and how the new understanding of power reframes the entire conversation around attachment. (05:56) — Tracing attachment to the frightened parts of personality that reach toward the earth, while the loving parts reach toward the soul. (08:52) — Why acting on attachment always creates painful consequences, and how anger's magnetic pull becomes a doorway into deeper self-understanding. (18:06) — Unpacking the pain of powerlessness and not belonging, including how the idea of "original sin" is exposed as a fear-based fantasy rather than truth. (21:07) — How attachment ultimately points to exactly the parts of personality that need to be moved beyond in order to create authentic power. (24:13) — Closing with the recognition that everything, including attachment, serves the purpose of spiritual growth, and a Soul Step for tracking what resonates throughout the week. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, notice the moments when something won't let you go - a thought you can't stop returning to, a feeling you can't shake, a pull you can't explain. Instead of masking it or acting on it right away, pause and ask yourself: what part of my personality is this coming from, and what is it trying to show me? Write down what you notice, whether the answer is uncomfortable or clarifying. You are not here to eliminate attachment overnight - you are here to see it clearly. Why Every Reaction Is a Choice Between Heaven and Hell (A Zen Parable)
Join the Seat of the Soul monthly newsletter and receive weekly, wisdom filled, insights from Gary: https://seatofthesoul.com/soul-connections-newsletter/ In this minisode, Gary Zukav explores the choices shaping both individual lives and the transformation of the human species. He describes humanity standing between two worlds - gratitude, patience, and contentment on one side, anger, worry, and despair on the other - and explains that every choice is like walking through a door: once chosen, the others close, and new doors immediately appear. Gary illustrates this with the story of Hakuin, a founder of Zen Buddhism, confronted by an armed samurai demanding to know if heaven and hell exist. Hakuin provoked the samurai’s fury, then calmly named the moment his sword began to leave its sheath “the gates of hell,” and the moment he sheathed it again “the gates of heaven” - showing that even ordinary moments are ongoing invitations to choose between the two. The solution Gary offers: every interaction, however small, is a chance to choose awareness and love over fear - and intention is the key that determines which gate opens. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:02) — Gary opens by describing the new consciousness transforming the human species and the choice between two worlds: one of gratitude and contentment, the other of anger and despair. (00:43) — Gary explains the nature of choice as walking through doors that close behind you, and names intention as the key to creating Authentic Power. (01:43) — Gary tells the story of Hakuin, the Zen Buddhist founder confronted by an armed samurai demanding to know if heaven and hell exist. (02:56) — Hakuin shows the samurai that the instant his sword left its sheath was “the gates of hell,” and the moment he sheathed it again was “the gates of heaven.” (03:58) — Gary connects the story to everyday partnership moments, noting that spiritual partners help each other see this choice most clearly when a frightened part of the personality makes it hardest to see. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a recent moment when you felt triggered by something small - a comment, a tone, an unmet expectation. In that instant, which gate did you walk through? How to See the Soul in Everyone (Even People You Can't Stand) | What About the World
Are you ready to live Beyond the Five senses? Learn how HERE: www.seatofthesoul.com/beyondthefivesensescourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav examines a phrase so familiar it has become almost meaningless: "we're all in this together." Rather than treating it as a feel-good sentiment, Gary explores what it actually means through the lens of the new consciousness now emerging in humanity, revealing that this togetherness is not emotional reassurance but a literal description of how reality works in the Earth School. He explains that in the old consciousness, power meant manipulation and control, built on a hard line between "in here" and "out there." The new consciousness dissolves that line, showing that what happens within us creates effects beyond the reach of the intellect. This raises the deeper question Gary poses: if every person we encounter is a soul, not just a personality, how are we meant to relate to one another? The answer lies in shifting from relating personality-to-personality to relating soul-to-soul, replacing judgment and reaction with reverence for the essence beneath every person's appearance and behavior. What You’ll Discover in This Episode (00:02) — Why a Deepcast is different from a podcast: it doesn’t change you - your resonance with what you hear reveals something already within you. (03:06) — How recognizing a frightened or loving part of your personality in someone else is the first step in creating Authentic Power. (08:59) — Old‑consciousness power was manipulation and control rooted in separation; new consciousness dissolves the line between “in here” and “out there,” redefining what power even means. (12:07) — The people in your life are never accidental - they are souls you have encountered before, and the new consciousness invites you to revere rather than dismiss them. (14:58) — Even the most heinous personalities in history are souls incarnate, which reframes the real question from “how do I deal with others” to “how do I relate soul to soul?” (19:56) — Gary previews the next topic, attachment, and closes with a Soul Step inviting listeners to track what resonates with them throughout the week. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, notice the people who cross your path - the ones you’re drawn to and the ones you’d rather avoid. Pause before you judge their appearance or behavior, and ask yourself: what might I see if I looked past the shell to the soul beneath? How to Stop Letting Fear Decide What's Possible For You
Join Gary LIVE every month as shares his wisdom and answers your questions live. REGISTER HERE for An Evening with Gary Zukav: www.seatofthesoul.com/eveningwithgaryzukav In this Soul Snack, Linda Francis addresses a question many people quietly carry: what do you do when you don't like what's happening in your life? Rather than offering a strategy to fix outer circumstances, Linda redirects attention inward - to the part of the personality that is reacting to the discomfort in the first place. That reaction, she explains, often comes from a frightened part of the personality. When fear is present, it becomes difficult to see what else is possible, both in the situation and in oneself. The real work begins with noticing - feeling what is happening in the body, becoming aware of physical sensations, and recognizing fear as it arises. The solution Linda offers is simple but not easy: once fear is recognized in the body, a different choice becomes available - one that does not go along with the fear's narrative that everything is going wrong. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — Linda opens with a reflection on the transformation of human consciousness and the choice between two internal paths: gratitude, patience, and contentment - or anger, worry, and despair. (00:43) — Linda introduces the central question: what do you do when you don't like what you're experiencing? She begins by locating the dislike not in the situation, but in a fearful part of the self. (01:12) — Linda describes how resistance to difficulty closes off the ability to see new possibilities -both about a situation and about oneself. (01:40) — Linda walks through her own practice: feeling what's happening in the body, noticing physical sensations, and becoming emotionally aware enough to recognize fear directly. (02:09) —Linda closes with an invitation to continue exploring the transformation of human consciousness in the next episode. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a recent moment when you didn't like what you were experiencing. Instead of looking outward for what to fix, pause and check inward. The Spiritual Truth About Boundaries Nobody Talks About | What About the World
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen Here: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav explores one of the most commonly accepted ideas in modern self‑help culture - that setting boundaries is essential to healthy living. From the perspective of the old and new consciousness, Gary reframes the entire notion of boundaries, showing that what once supported human survival is no longer aligned with where human evolution is now moving. The old consciousness rests on a fundamental separation between “in here” and “out there,” and boundaries naturally arise from that divide. As the new consciousness emerges, that perceived wall between self and other begins to dissolve. The very premise that there is an “other” to protect yourself from is revealed as an illusion created by a frightened part of your personality. Gary offers a clarifying question that goes directly to the heart of the matter: each time you feel the impulse to set a boundary, ask whether you are protecting a frightened part of your personality - or a loving one. A loving part of your personality needs no protection. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — The unprecedented transformation of human consciousness now underway - and the choice it places before every person: gratitude or fear, love or despair. (02:37) — Why old‑consciousness power - manipulation and control - is no longer enough, and what authentic power actually means: aligning your personality with your soul. (08:31) — The old consciousness draws an uncrossable line between in here and out there. The new consciousness dissolves it - and with it, the very foundation on which boundaries are built. (11:39) — The concept of “the other” is a product of fear and imagination. Following fear leads only to emptiness; following love leads to meaning, purpose, and connection. (15:03) — Authentic power is built by finding every frightened part of your personality, experiencing each one intimately, and choosing to move beyond it. (22:00) — The question Gary leaves with every listener: when you set a boundary, who are you really protecting - a frightened part of your personality, or a loving one? Embrace the Soul Step Challenge The next time you feel the impulse to set a boundary, pause before you act. Ask yourself honestly: what am I protecting right now? Is it a frightened part of your personality speaking, or a loving one? Sit with whatever comes up without judgment. You are not here to condemn yourself for your fear - you are here to see it clearly, and then to choose. That is how spiritual growth happens: one conscious choice at a time. Why You Feel Inferior to Some People (And How to Stop)
Learn how to connect with your intuition every day. Click here to start your journey to authentic power: https://seatofthesoul.com/daily-intuition-practice/ In this Soul Snack, Linda Francis invites a deeper look at a feeling many people know well - the sense of being unequal to someone else. From a five‑sensory perspective, differences in talent, intelligence, or ability can make inequality appear obvious. Yet Linda turns our attention to what is actually creating that experience. The discomfort of comparison - the impulse to shrink in someone’s presence or place them above us - does not come from truth. It comes from a frightened part of your personality. The shift from five‑sensory inequality to real equality is not something we think our way into. It is something we experience when we choose to meet one another as souls. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — Gary opens with a reflection on the transformation of human consciousness and the choice between two internal paths: gratitude, patience, and contentment - or anger, worry, and despair. (00:43) — Linda introduces the concept of five‑sensory inequality: the ways people differ in talent, ability, and intelligence, and why these differences can appear so definitive. (01:10) — A deeper kind of equality is introduced - not intellectual agreement, but the lived experience of seeing and relating to one another as souls. (01:40) — Linda names what actually creates the feeling of inferiority: a frightened part of your personality, not reality. This part compares and contracts, keeping us from genuine connection. (02:05) — Linda uses the example of her grandchildren, Katie and Sydney, who interact with Gary and Linda freely - never having met them through books or retreats, they simply show up without the weight of comparison or self‑judgment. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of someone in your life - or someone you've encountered - whom you've placed above or below you. Why You Dislike People (It Says More About You) | What about the World Series
Are you ready to live Beyond the Five Sense? Learn how HERE: www.seatofthesoul.com/beyondthefivesensescourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav reveals one of Earth School's most profound truths: the world around you is not a backdrop to your life - it is a mirror. Every reaction, judgment, and moment of dislike or admiration you experience in others is a direct reflection of something alive within yourself. Drawing on Carl Jung's concept of projection, Gary brings clarity to how the qualities that trigger the strongest responses in us are the very qualities we have yet to fully recognize in ourselves. Gary challenges the habit of looking outside yourself for the source of your feelings. Whether it is a person whose generosity moves you or someone whose behavior repulses you, the old consciousness looks outward for explanation. The new consciousness turns inward - using those same reactions as precise guidance about what is activating a frightened part or a loving part of your personality. The path to self-knowledge is not found through introspection alone - it is revealed in every encounter, every irritation, and every moment of unexpected beauty the world places in front of you. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:02) — A shift in human consciousness is underway - and the choice between gratitude and fear is one you are making moment by moment. (02:59) — Carl Jung’s concept of projection: when a quality feels too painful to acknowledge in yourself, you see it in the people around you instead - and you resist what you see. (06:23) — The world is not teaching you about others. It is teaching you about yourself - everything you need to know to create meaning and joy in your life. (09:14) — Every reaction to someone else is a projection. Place your attention inside - in your chest, your throat, your solar plexus - and discover whether a frightened part or a loving part of your personality is speaking. (12:12) — The takes‑one‑to‑know‑one principle works both ways: the grace and saintliness you admire in others are already active within you. (19:03) — You are not separate from the world you observe. Every choice you make ripples outward through the fabric of existence. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge The next time someone triggers a strong reaction in you - admiration or irritation - write down everything you notice about that person. That evening, look for each quality in yourself. Do not rush past anything. The things that feel most impossible to own are often the ones most worth finding. Your Comfort Zone Is Costing You More Than You Think
Are you making choices in love or fear? Take this self-assessment today to find out: https://seatofthesoul.com/cultivating-love-optin/ In this episode, Linda Francis shares a story she has never forgotten - one that reshaped the way she moves through the world. Separated from Gary at a retreat and seated among a group of unfamiliar Texas attorneys, Linda felt a frightened part of her personality become active immediately. The pull to withdraw was strong, and yet she chose to stay present with her experience, and in that moment, to create Authentic Power. The familiar often disguises itself as preference and comfort, but beneath it is the quiet refusal of the soul’s growth. Linda’s experience reveals how much we lose when we move only toward what feels safe and known. The transformation, she discovered, is not willpower but curiosity - a choice to stop judging and start opening. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — Gary opens with a reflection on the transformation of human consciousness and the choice each of us faces: to live in gratitude and awe, or to follow the pull of fear and despair. (00:43) — Linda shares the story: arriving late to a retreat, separated from Gary, and seated among men she immediately began to judge. (01:35) — Linda describes the frightened parts of her personality that became active - the pull toward comfort - and how she chose to move through her experience rather than away from it. (02:10) — Linda reflects on the shift that followed when she stopped pushing the men away and opened to what she could learn from them. (02:45) — Linda shares the broader principle: limiting ourselves to the familiar is a pattern of the frightened personality, and experimenting with discomfort becomes a powerful way to create Authentic Power. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a moment when you avoided something unfamiliar because it felt uncomfortable. Ask yourself: What frightened parts were driving that choice? You're Being Tempted Right Now - Here's What the Universe Wants You to Do
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen Here: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this DeepCast episode, Gary Zukav brings the Temptation series to its most expansive conclusion - revealing that the greatest temptation you will ever face is not a single dramatic moment of crisis, but the one unfolding right now, in this moment, and in every moment of your life. Drawing on his own experience of writing The Dancing Wu Li Masters against impossible odds, Gary illuminates the difference between what a frightened part of the personality creates and what a loving part of the personality sees - and why that distinction is everything. Gary challenges the familiar notion that temptation is something you wait for or recognize only in rare, high‑stakes moments. Instead, he reframes it as the constant, ever‑present invitation of Earth School itself - the ongoing choice between love and fear that lives in every reaction, every judgment, every hope you allow or dismiss. The frightened parts of your personality do not announce themselves. They feel righteous, satisfying, and completely justified in the moment. The path through temptation is not avoidance - it is awareness. When you learn to recognize the physical sensations and emotional charge of a frightened part of your personality, you gain the power to consciously redirect your attention toward a loving part and choose from there instead. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (01:42) — You are not only a body and a mind. You are a soul - immortal, multi‑incarnational, and in Earth School for one essential reason: to learn to choose love instead of fear. (04:56) — Temptation is not a rough draft. It is the final dress rehearsal of a frightened part of your personality - every line memorized, every move set - presenting itself one last time before the action that creates karma. (09:15) — The greatest temptation is not a dramatic moment you will recognize when it arrives. It is the way you hold the possibilities in front of you right now - as reachable or out of reach. That act of seeing, or refusing to see, shapes probability itself. (13:54) — Eighteen months of rejection letters, mounting debt, and no credentials - and Gary never doubted The Dancing Wu Li Masters would be published. Not because he willed it. Because he simply saw it. That is a loving part of the personality at full strength. (20:59) — This temptation does not end. It lasts as long as you are in Earth School, because having a personality means having both loving and frightened parts. That is not a flaw in the design. That is the design. (24:21) — For 350,000 years, humans believed power meant control. The new consciousness changes that - you are not at the mercy of the world; you are its co‑creator. There is no “in here” and “out there.” There is only you, choosing, moment by moment, what you become. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Take out a small notebook - something you can keep close throughout your day. Each time you notice a strong reaction, a dismissal, a craving, or a judgment, write it down. Ask yourself: was that coming from a frightened part of my personality or a loving one? How did it feel in your body - in your chest, your gut, the tension in your jaw? At the end of the day, look back at what you wrote. You are not looking for perfection. You are looking for awareness. That awareness is the gracious gift of temptation - divinity's direct message, straight to your heart. Is Your "Harmless" Drink Actually Fear in Disguise?
Learn how to connect with your intuition every day. Click here to start your journey to authentic power: https://seatofthesoul.com/daily-intuition-practice/ In this episode, Gary Zukav takes on a question that may seem minor on the surface but opens into something much deeper: does casual alcohol use block the creation of authentic power? Rather than offering a simple yes or no, Gary reframes the question entirely, inviting listeners to examine not what they are doing, but why. He challenges the idea of “casual” behavior altogether, calling instead for conscious, intentional living rooted in an awareness of one’s creative power. At the heart of Gary’s response is the question of intention. Whether it is a drink at dinner, a smile across a room, or any habitual behavior, the real question is always the same: is this action coming from love or from fear? Gary illustrates how what appears to be harmless social drinking can, upon closer examination, be a way of masking discomfort, seeking approval, or attempting to manipulate how others perceive you - all expressions of a frightened part of the personality. The way forward is not judgment, but awareness. When life energy is used consciously and intentionally, with a genuine desire to contribute, connect, and create from love, even the smallest choices become opportunities to create authentic power. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:43) — Gary responds to the question of casual alcohol use by widening the lens: rather than evaluating the behavior itself, he invites listeners to examine how they are using their life energy - and whether they are doing so consciously and intentionally. (01:30) — Gary asks the essential question behind any behavior: what is your intention? Is drinking - or any social habit - an attempt to mask feelings of fear, loosen up for approval, or influence how others feel about you? If so, that intention originates in fear, not in love. (02:32) — Gary offers examples of what it looks like to redirect life energy toward love: contributing to others, moving toward meaning and purpose, and choosing harmony, cooperation, and reverence for life over the need to please. (03:00) — Gary shares that people in his programs have discovered their “casual” alcohol use was far less casual than they believed - and that the difficulty of giving it up revealed something important about the frightened parts of their personality that were active. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge: Take out your notebook and think of a habit in your life that you have labeled "casual" or "harmless." It doesn't have to be alcohol - it could be anything you reach for when you feel uncomfortable, anxious, or unseen. Ask yourself honestly: what is my intention in this moment? Am I acting from love - from a genuine desire to contribute, connect, or create - or am I acting from fear? Write down what you notice, without judgment. The Side of Temptation Nobody Talks About, Part 2
Your journey to Authentic Power begins here. Download your copy of the Authentic Power Guidelines today: https://seatofthesoul.com/apg-optin/ In this DeepCast, Gary Zukav continues his exploration of temptation, picking up where Part 1 left off, and going deeper into what it truly means to choose between love and fear. Drawing on his own experience with addiction, Gary reveals that temptation is never a matter of right or wrong, good or bad. It is always, at its core, a choice about what experiences you intend to bring into your life and a recognition that no one else can make that choice for you. Building on that foundation, Gary introduces two dimensions that Part 1 only touched on: the danger of attachment (even to "good" choices) and the profound journey of uncovering every part of your personality, including the darkest ones. Through the story of a Tibetan monk who nearly lost his compassion for his Chinese torturers, Gary illustrates the staggering range of emotional capability within every human being, and the courage it takes to meet all of it without judgment. The way through all of it, Gary reveals, is the creation of authentic power - not through willpower or moral superiority, but through the patient, courageous practice of emotional awareness, responsible choice, and compassion for others and for yourself. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:43) — Gary revisits the new consciousness framework for temptation: the choice is never between good and bad, but between the experiences you are choosing to create for yourself - and only you can make that choice. (01:26) — Gary shares his own experience with addiction and the terrifying moment of standing at an equal crossroads. (04:17) — Gary warns against the trap of attachment to "right" choices: congratulating yourself for choosing well can become a subtle expression of fear, superiority, and separation which is a choice for fear, not love. (06:10) — Gary traces the long arc of creating authentic power, sharing his early experience of challenging his anger — from clenching his fists in front of someone who enraged him, to gradually relaxing, to eventually experiencing compassion - showing that this is a process, not a single moment. (08:08) — Gary opens up the full, confronting range of the human psyche: from Christ-like love to the desire to destroy, all of it lives within you. Repulsion at any part of yourself is judgment - and judgment is attachment, which is the cause of suffering. (12:39) — Gary shares the story of the Tibetan monk who told the Dalai Lama he had been in danger of losing his compassion for his Chinese torturers as – the clearest illustration of what it looks like to hold the full range of human experience with compassion. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Take out your notebook and think of a part of yourself that you find difficult to accept such as a reaction, an impulse, a feeling you'd rather not admit is there. Without judgment, ask yourself: am I repulsed by this because I am judging it? And if I am judging it, what does that tell me about my attachment to it? Sit with that honestly. Then ask: is there someone in my life right now whose behavior I find hard to stomach? Write down what bothers you most about them - and then, quietly, look for those same things in yourself. Notice what happens in your body when you do. That softening - however small - is the beginning of compassion. Join the Seat of the Soul monthly newsletter and receive weekly, wisdom filled, insights from Gary: https://seatofthesoul.com/soul-connections-newsletter/ In this episode, Gary Zukav responds to a deeply personal question from a listener who has spent a lifetime feeling unseen and judged - a tall, big‑boned woman born with leg deformities who believes her physical experience may be karmic but does not know what for. Gary reframes the question by drawing a distinction between the personality - the earth suit the soul wears during its time in the Earth school - and the soul itself, which is powerful, compassionate, and without limit. When you focus only on the appearance of the earth suit, he suggests, you miss the vastness of who you are. The most profound insight Gary offers is that her experience may not be a karmic burden at all, but a karmic gift - one that has uniquely positioned her to see others as souls rather than surfaces. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:02) — Gary opens with a reflection on the transformation of human consciousness and the choice in each moment between living in gratitude and awe or in fear and despair. (01:35) — A listener shares her lifelong experience of judgment and invisibility, asking Gary whether her appearance is karmic and what it means. (03:51) — Gary introduces the distinction between soul and personality: the personality is an earth suit chosen for a specific journey, while the soul is a powerful, creative, compassionate presence. (05:30) — Gary reframes karma not as punishment but as an exquisite gift - her experiences have prepared her to see others as souls rather than appearances, with uncommon generosity and without judgment. (07:19) — Gary closes by reminding us that no aspect of a personality appears by accident. The soul chooses its earth suit to create the experiences it needs in order to evolve. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of someone - or perhaps yourself - whom you have viewed through the lens of appearance rather than soul. Ask yourself: What did I miss by seeing only the surface? Sit with that question today, and consider what it would mean to move through the world seeing every person, including yourself, as a soul first. Why You Are Always Being Tempted - And What the Universe Wants You to Know, Part 1
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen Here: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this DeepCast, Gary Zukav reveals what he considers the single most fundamental element of spiritual growth and self‑transformation - temptation. Far from the Western view of temptation as an external evil force, Gary reframes it as a gracious dynamic in the universe - a purposeful invitation to choose between love and fear. Drawing on the lives of the Buddha and Jesus, he shows that every human being meets the same essential crossroads that the great spiritual masters met. Gary challenges the idea that temptation originates outside of us. He reveals it instead as the activity of the frightened parts of the personality - a kind of dress rehearsal for a negative karmic event that places the full power of choice in your hands. The answer lies in the twin pillars of authentic power: emotional awareness and responsible choice. When you recognize the physical sensations and thoughts of a frightened part of your personality, temptation shifts from a trap into a teacher. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (01:04) — Gary names the core dynamic - temptation - and contrasts the Western, externalized view with the perspective of the new consciousness, in which temptation does not originate outside of you, but within the frightened parts of your personality. (05:52) — Gary draws on the lives of the Buddha and Jesus to show that the great spiritual masters met the same temptations that you meet - with nothing to guide them toward one choice or another except their own awareness. (11:59) — Gary introduces temptation as a dress rehearsal for a negative karmic event - the moment just before choice becomes action and energy becomes matter. When you act on temptation, you create karma. When you choose otherwise, the soul moves freely. (17:44) — Gary outlines the two pillars of authentic power - emotional awareness and responsible choice - and explains that recognizing the sensations and thoughts of a frightened part of your personality is the first step toward choosing differently. (23:37) — Gary closes Part 1 with a reminder that moment by moment, life brings you to a choice between love and fear. The choice is not what you intend. The choice is the action you take. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Take out your notebook and think of a moment when you felt the pull of a temptation. Ask yourself: what frightened part of my personality was at work? What did it feel like in your body - in your chest, your throat, your solar plexus? Then ask the deeper question: were you choosing from love or from fear? Write down what you notice, without judgment. Temptation is not your enemy - it is the universe's gracious invitation to know yourself more fully and choose, consciously, who you truly are. Stop Apologizing: What Authentic Power Does Instead
Learn how to connect with your intuition every day. Click here to start your journey to authentic power: https://seatofthesoul.com/daily-intuition-practice/ In this episode, Gary Zukav explores one of the most common - and most misunderstood - responses to guilt: the apology. He challenges the assumption that saying “I’m sorry” is inherently loving or helpful, and he reveals that most apologies do not arise from love, but from fear. Using simple, vivid examples - from apologizing for a late reply to his team, to choosing to celebrate a young man’s father rather than offering condolences - Gary shows how apologies often function as unconscious attempts to gain approval, avoid conflict, or manage how others feel about us. Beneath the surface, they reflect a frightened part of the personality reaching outward for relief instead of turning inward toward growth. The most loving response to guilt is not an apology. It is the conscious choice to challenge the frightened part of the personality that guilt activates, and to cultivate authentic power instead. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — Gary opens the exploration of apologies by asking when - if ever - saying “I’m sorry” is truly appropriate, viewed through the lens of authentic power. (01:26) — After apologizing to his team for a late reply, a spiritual partner asks Gary whether that apology came from a frightened part of his personality - one wanting to remain liked rather than acting with genuine intention. (02:51) — Instead of offering condolences to a young man whose father had passed, Gary chose to celebrate the father’s life - showing how reflexive apologies often arise from habit rather than conscious love. (03:51) — Emotional pain does not originate with other people. It arises from interior dynamics - frightened parts of the personality activated by others’ words, not caused by them. (05:49) — Apologizing for someone else’s emotional pain means taking responsibility for an interior dynamic that belongs entirely to them - one only they have the power to transform. (06:48) — Gary reframes the core choice in every difficult interaction: react from fear, or respond with love. That choice is always ours. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a recent moment when you felt the impulse to apologize - to a colleague, a loved one, or even a stranger. Ask yourself: Was that apology coming from love, or from fear? Was it an attempt to genuinely connect, or to manage how someone else felt about you? Sit with that question today, and notice what it reveals about the parts of your personality that were active in that moment. You Are the Miracle: What Quantum Physics & the Soul Agree On | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Your journey to Authentic Power begins here. Download your copy of the Authentic Power Guidelines today: https://seatofthesoul.com/apg-optin/ In this DeepCast, Gary Zukav shares one of the most astonishing realizations of his spiritual journey: that the words he wrote nearly fifty years ago - in his award‑winning book The Dancing Wu Li Masters - described with perfect precision the truth he has since lived, learned, and embodied through decades of experience, love, loss, and guidance from his angelic teacher, Genesis. Drawing on the language of quantum physics, Gary returns to the physicists’ most profound and paradigm‑shattering conclusion: that what exists is one unbroken wholeness, no aspect of which is separate from any other - and that this is not a theory. It is what you are. At the heart of this episode is a question Gary brought to Genesis in frustration and wonder: Why? Why did I have to go through all of that? The decades of searching, suffering, loving, growing, expanding - all of it. And Genesis answered with four words that dissolved every remaining illusion of intellectual accomplishment: So you won’t know it. Not know it as information. Know it as experience. Know it as life itself. The miracle, Gary reveals, is not something that happens to you. It is what you are. You are the universe - and the universe is love. That is the only reason to do anything at all. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:44) — Gary begins with the story of writing The Dancing Wu Li Masters at 35, drawn by a felt sense that quantum mechanics revealed the precise edge where the intellect ends - and where what lies beyond it begins. (05:22) — Gary returns to the breathtaking conclusion he wrote half a century ago: that reality may be one unbroken wholeness, no aspect of which is separate from any other - and shares the shock of recognizing those words as an exact description of what he knows now. (10:00) — Gary reflects on the path that brought him to this moment: Genesis, Linda, the love he never imagined was possible, and the understanding that every experience - however difficult - was created to meet and transform the frightened parts of his personality. (14:18) — Genesis answers Gary’s deepest “why” with four words: So you won’t know it. Gary explores what it means to carry wisdom not as information, but as lived experience. (17:36) — Gary traces the arc of human evolution - from five‑sensory to multi‑sensory to universal human - and explains that authentic power, the alignment of personality with soul, is the path itself, and that love is what awaits on the other side of every choice. (22:43) — Gary arrives at the word that holds all of it: miracle. Not something outside of you - but what you are. You are the universe expressing itself uniquely in every moment, through every choice rooted in love or fear. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Take out your notebook and sit with what Gary shares in this DeepCast. Think of a moment in your life - something painful, confusing, or hard to understand - and ask yourself: What if this experience wasn't something that happened to me, but something that happened for me, so that I would know it, not as a concept, but as lived truth? Sit with that. Then ask: in the choices I made today, was I creating from love - from harmony, compassion, and kindness - or from fear? Write down what you notice, without judgment. The miracle isn't waiting somewhere ahead of you. It is you, here, now, choosing. Create the life you desire by choosing love over fear. Learn how HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/love-fear/ In this Soul Snack, Gary Zukav answers a listener’s question that many have quietly wondered about: what determines a soulmate? His answer is expansive - every person on this planet, all seven billion incarnate souls, is in truth a soulmate. The more meaningful question is not who your soulmate is, but how you choose to relate to the souls whose paths cross your own. Gary introduces spiritual partnership as the most conscious and fulfilling way to relate to another soul - a relationship between equals, co‑created with intention for the purpose of spiritual growth, in which each partner chooses how they show up for one another. The hallmark of a true soulmate connection: partners stay together as long as they grow together spiritually - and share with one another what they fear most could destroy the partnership. What You’ll Discover in This Soul Snack: (00:43) — Gary offers a new way to understand the word soulmate: with seven billion incarnate souls on this planet, every person whose path crosses yours is, in truth, your soulmate. (01:33) — The deeper question is not who your soulmate is, but how you choose to relate - with awareness, love, and spiritual intention toward a fellow soul on a shared journey. (02:32) — Gary describes spiritual partnership as a conscious relationship between equals created for spiritual growth, in which partners stay together as long as both grow - and share what they fear most could damage the relationship. He reflects on his 26‑year partnership with Linda Francis as an example. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Reflect on a key relationship in your life - a partner, friend, or colleague. What If You Are the Universe? The Soul, Free Will & Every Choice | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Discover a new way of seeing and experiencing the world. Start your journey to multisensory perception HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/mutli-five-sensory/ In this DeepCast, Gary Zukav turns the lens inward with one of the most fundamental questions a human being can ask: What are you? Drawing from the perspective of the new consciousness, Gary invites listeners beyond the limitations of the intellect and five-sensory perception, inviting them to see themselves not as personalities born on a date and destined to die - but as immortal souls and unique expressions of a universe made entirely of love. At the heart of this episode is a distinction that changes everything: the difference between the "little you" - the personality, the name you carry, the self that will one day leave the Earth School - and the "big You," the soul that is eternal, exists in non-physical reality, and is always home. The new consciousness now makes it possible to experience both at the same time. Yet most of us remain anchored in the old consciousness, where identity stopped at the edges of the physical body and power meant manipulation and control. Gary offers a profound reorientation: you are your perceptions, a unique expression of the Universe, and above all, you are love - and every choice you make, in love or in fear, shapes what that unique expression becomes. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:49) — Gary introduces the distinction between the "little you" (personality) and the "big You" (soul) - two aspects of the self that the new consciousness now makes it possible to experience at the same time - and why this changes everything about identity, power, and what it means to be alive in the Earth School. (05:48) — Gary reframes the difference between love and fear not as morality or ethics, but as an energetic difference in who you are - and explains how aligning personality with soul is the new consciousness definition of authentic power. (08:56) — Gary shares the teaching that transformed his own experience: you are your perceptions. This insight opens the door to experiencing the universe not as something outside of you, but as something you are. (11:51) — Drawing on the words of Jesus - "the kingdom of heaven is within you" - Gary illuminates what it means to be a unique expression of the universe, and why the intellect alone was never designed to take us there. (17:59) — Free will is the power to choose love or fear in every moment. Choices rooted in fear create painful, contracting consequences; choices rooted in love create healthy, expansive, creative experiences - and together, those choices become your unique expression of the universe. (24:11) — Gary closes with an invitation to experiment with choosing love - not romantic or sentimental love, but the love that is what you are - and shares his practice of following deep meaning as a compass for authentic living. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Take out your notebook and sit with the question Gary poses in this DeepCast: What are you? Begin with the words, "I am my perceptions." Sit with that for a few moments. Notice what you see, what you hear, what you feel - and notice that there is no separate "you" standing apart from those perceptions. Then ask yourself: in the choices I made today, was I acting from the big You - love, harmony, reverence for life - or reacting from the little you, from fear? Write down what you notice, without judgment. That honest awareness is where the creation of Authentic Power begins. The Mirror of Compassion: Why How You Treat Others Reflects How You Treat Yourself
Create the life you desire by choosing love over fear. Learn how HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/love-fear/ In this episode, Gary Zukav and Linda Francis explore the profound connection between compassion for yourself and compassion for others. Gary reveals that the creation of Authentic Power and the cultivation of compassion are, in truth, the same path. Every tool of the new consciousness - from multisensory perception to emotional awareness and responsible choice - serves as a direct gateway to the practice of compassion. Gary explains that the frightened parts of the personality are the parts that lack compassion. The very same part of you that judges or feels impatience toward another person is inevitably directing those same judgements, impatience, and anger inward. Linda deepens this insight: when we choose to judge another, we create that same experience in our own self and in our own bodies, making compassion for the self and others impossible in that moment. Gary also introduces the dynamic of projection - the tendency of the personality to see in others what the frightened parts refuse to acknowledge within ourselves. By recognizing these projections, we can identify the internal "curriculum" that needs healing. True compassion becomes available the moment you step out of the control of a frightened part of your personality and into the domain of Love. That movement, repeated with intention, is the fundamental mechanism through which Authentic Power is created. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:53) — Gary explains why creating authentic power and creating compassion are one and the same practice - and why everything already learned in the Earth School applies directly, with no need to start over. (01:30) — The frightened parts of the personality are the parts with no compassion: the same parts judging, criticizing, or feeling impatient with others are doing the exact same thing inward. (03:28) — Linda illuminates how judging someone else simultaneously creates that experience in your own body - and why compassion for yourself and others cannot exist at the same time as judgment. (03:47) — Gary clarifies the powerful two-way connection: you cannot have compassion for someone else without having compassion for yourself - and you cannot have compassion for yourself without having it for others. Both exist in the domain of love. (04:16) — Gary introduces the practice of projection: writing down everything a frightened part of your personality dislikes in another person - in detail - and then looking for those same qualities honestly within yourself. (05:26) — Why understanding compassion in the mind is not enough: Linda and Gary discuss the essential role of emotional awareness in actually feeling what you are challenging, so that frightened parts of the personality begin to lose their control. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Take a moment to bring to mind someone you have been judging, criticizing, or feeling impatient with. Write down everything about them that a frightened part of your personality doesn't like - in detail. Then, with courage and openness, look for those same qualities within yourself. This is the practice of projection awareness, and one of the most direct doorways into compassion for yourself and others. Ask yourself: What would it feel like to meet this moment with love instead of judgment? Pause with that question today, and notice what arises. How Do You Relate To Your Child? Learn to Talk To Their Soul | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Your journey to Authentic Power begins here. Download your copy of the Authentic Power Guidelines today: https://seatofthesoul.com/apg-optin/ In this DeepCast, Gary Zukav explores one of the most profound dimensions of Authentic Power: how we relate to the children in our lives. Gary invites us to see them not merely as developing personalities or "small" versions of ourselves, but as immortal souls on their own unique journey through the Earth School. Drawing on the perspective of the new consciousness, he reframes parenthood and every interaction with a child as a sacred opportunity to practice conscious, soul-centered love. At the heart of this episode lies a powerful distinction: when we see children only through the lens of their physical bodies and undeveloped minds, we miss the reality of who they truly are. Children do not simply emerge from the womb - they arrive from eternity, carrying the full creative power and accumulated experience of souls that have incarnated many times before. Recognizing that your child is an ancient soul changes everything about the way you relate to them. Gary illuminates how every interaction with a child - whether it is born of reverence or impatience, consciousness or reaction - creates karma. The intention behind each moment - Love or Fear - shapes not only the child's experience but the parent's own spiritual evolution. This is an invitation to move beyond control and into Spiritual Partnership with the ancient souls we call our children. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (03:04) — Gary explores the special relationship parents share with their children and how understanding the soul dimension transforms the way we connect with even the youngest, most vulnerable personalities in the Earth School. (05:53) — Gary reflects on his time at the Council Grove Conference and introduces the work of Gladys McGarry, MD - a physician and midwife whose research documented pre-birth communications between mothers and children, revealing that the soul-to-soul bond begins long before birth. (12:12) — Gary explains how every interaction with a child creates karma: when the intention behind a moment is fear, impatience, anger, or the desire for silence - it generates painful, contracting consequences; when it is love, it creates growth, wholeness, and genuine connection. (18:01) — Gary describes what it means to relate soul to personality: how parents with the new consciousness can offer children the lived experience of love, harmony, cooperation, and reverence for life - even before the child can articulate or fully reciprocate it. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Take out your notebook and write down anything that moved you as you listened to this DeepCast - anything you responded to with love or reacted to with fear. At the end of the day, and in the days that follow, revisit what you've written. Notice where love was present and where fear took hold. Stop Playing It Safe: How to Break Free From Fear and Live Authentically
Are you making choices in love or fear? Take this self-assessment today to find out: https://seatofthesoul.com/cultivating-love-optin/ In this episode, Gary Zukav and Linda Francis explore the concept of freestyling as a powerful metaphor for living authentically. Drawing from the world of sports - skiing, snowboarding, and gymnastics - Gary illuminates how the greatest athletes broke free from rigid conventions to create entirely new categories of movement. That same liberation, he teaches, is available to every person willing to move beyond the narrow expectations set by the frightened parts of their personality. Gary explains that the frightened parts of the personality are what define the parameters - the narrow band of what feels "acceptable" in life. Whether in writing, relationships, or personal ambition, those fear-based limitations keep people performing the same routines. But when a person chooses to act from a loving part of their personality instead, they step into a domain that is entirely new, self-defined, and free. Creating authentic power is the ultimate freestyle. It is the practice of not being controlled by fear in the pursuit of external power and instead following the call of the heart and soul - even when that direction is subtle, uncertain, or not yet fully understood. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — How elite athletes in freestyle sports broke the rules of their disciplines and why that same courage applies to the creation of Authentic Power in the Earth School. (01:34) — Why the frightened parts of the personality set the parameters - and what happens when you make the Responsible Choice to act from a loving part of your personality instead. (02:11) — Gary shares how his own writing process changed when he released the pursuit of external power (writing what he thought "should" be written) and instead followed where the energy of his Soul's intention led. (03:00) — The difference between the pursuit of external power (money, status, sex) and the creation of Authentic Power - following what your heart is genuinely calling you toward. (03:25) — Gary's personal story of recognizing the frequency of Linda Francis the moment she arrived, and how that subtle but undeniable signal from the Soul led to thirty years of Spiritual Partnership. (04:33) — A reflection on Visual 31: which of the five figures represents your personality today - and which one represented you yesterday as you navigate the Earth School? Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Take a moment to reflect on the areas of your life where the frightened parts of your personality have been setting the parameters. Where have you been staying inside the narrow band of what feels "acceptable" - in your relationships, your work, your creativity, or your goals? Ask yourself: What would I do if I were freestyling? Scarlett Lewis - How to Choose Love While You're Still in Pain: Scarlett Lewis | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Your journey to Authentic Power begins here. Download your copy of the Authentic Power Guidelines today: https://seatofthesoul.com/apg-optin/ In this deeply moving continuation, Gary Zukav and Scarlett Lewis - founder of the Choose Love Movement - explore the interior landscape of Authentic Power: what it truly means to choose love not just as a feeling, but as a conscious act of will in the face of grief, fear, and loss. Together, they trace the path from forgiveness to compassion, and from compassion to personal transformation. At the center of their exchange is a truth both hard-won and universal: that the frightened parts of our personalities - anger, judgment, resentment, and righteousness - are not enemies to defeat but opportunities for deeper awareness. Scarlett shares how forgiving the individual responsible for the death of her son, Jesse, was not an act of denial, but of liberation- and how that conscious choice led her to feel genuine compassion, and ultimately, love. Gary illuminates what makes this possible: a new level of consciousness allows us to see that we are not our frightened parts. We can observe them, choose not to be controlled by them, and act from our loving parts - even while fear is still present. That is the exact moment Authentic Power is created. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (03:57) — Gary reflects on why he invited Scarlett back: her response to Jesse’s transition demonstrates what it looks like to face the frightened parts of the personality and choose love over judgment. (14:36) — Scarlett shares the internal process of forgiveness—releasing the charge of an event to move from the pain of the personality into the compassion and love of the Soul. (19:55) — Gary and Scarlett explore the paradox of Authentic Power: the tools of Emotional Awareness and Responsible Choice are simple, but applying them while fear is active is the most demanding work in the Earth School. (22:12) — Gary describes the exact moment Authentic Power is created: when you choose to act from a loving part of your personality while simultaneously experiencing the sensations of a frightened part. (31:55) — Scarlett reflects on approaching painful experiences as a Soul curriculum—turning toward difficulty with curiosity so that it refines, rather than defines, your life. (38:17) — Scarlett invites listeners to visit ChooseLoveMovement.org to access tools for the next generation, helping children learn the skills of Authentic Power so they meet the world with love instead of fear. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a moment when you felt the pull of a frightened part of your personality - anger, resentment, or the urge to be against something rather than for something. Now ask yourself: what was the loving intention beneath it that you couldn't yet access? The next time a frightened part becomes active, pause before you act or speak. Ask: what would it look like to respond from the part of me that loves? You don't have to feel love first. You only have to choose it. Stop Fighting for Control: How to Trade External Power for Authentic Power
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen HERE: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse A new multisensory consciousness is transforming humanity, and with it comes a pressing question: what kind of power are you really reaching for? In this episode, Gary Zukav explores the internal dynamics of power struggles - what they are, where they originate, and why the impulse to control others is as present in our most intimate relationships as it is in conflicts between nations. Every power struggle, Gary explains, is rooted in the pursuit of external power - the drive to change, manage, or dominate what exists outside of us. Whether we are clashing with a partner or a roommate, or reaching for a fresh start in a new city, the horizontal path keeps us moving sideways. In the Earth School, we often find that nothing truly changes because we haven't changed the frightened parts of our personality that are driving the conflict. The vertical path is different. It is the path of spiritual evolution. It invites us to turn inward - to practice Emotional Awareness - and in doing so, to begin aligning our personality with our Soul. This alignment allows us to access the kind of Authentic Power that Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. brought to bear on the world - a power rooted in love, not in the control of others. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:43) — The Internal Dynamics of a Power Struggle: Gary defines the core of every power struggle - the pursuit of external power through the impulse to control - and reveals how it operates at every scale, from intimate partnerships to international conflict. (01:26) — The Horizontal Path and its Limitations: Attempting to find relief by changing partners, circumstances, or cities defines the horizontal path. Without internal change, the same frightened parts of the personality follow us wherever we go in the Earth School. (01:56) — The Vertical Path: Gary introduces the only path that creates real transformation - the vertical path of spiritual evolution - and connects it to the emergence of Authentic Power. (02:14) — The Fragility of External Power: For millennia, our species has sought safety through external power - competition, hoarding, and exploitation. Gary explains why this foundation now threatens our survival and the evolution of our consciousness. (02:54) — The Soul’s Intentions: Harmony, cooperation, sharing, and a reverence for Life are the Soul’s true intentions. Gary describes the creative tension humanity now inhabits as these values begin to emerge from the new consciousness. (03:27) — Authentic Power in Action: As we align our personality with our Soul, we begin to cultivate the kind of power that moves mountains - the Authentic Power of Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr., anchored in a life lived from the frequency of love. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, notice where power struggles show up in your life - in a disagreement with a partner, a moment of frustration with a colleague, or an urge to change something outside yourself to feel better inside. Pause before choosing the horizontal path. Ask yourself: Am I trying to control, or am I trying to grow? What would it look like to change myself here instead of the situation around me? Choosing Love Over Revenge: From Sandy Hook to 18,000 Schools | Gary Zukav’s Personal Experiences
Your journey to Authentic Power begins here. Download your copy of the Authentic Power Guidelines today: https://seatofthesoul.com/apg-optin/ In this profound co-creation, Gary Zukav welcomes his first-ever Deepcast guest: Scarlett Lewis, founder of the Choose Love Movement - a global nonprofit now reaching nearly 18,000 schools across 132 countries. Scarlett shares the internal dynamics behind the movement, born from the experience of her six-year-old son Jesse’s return home on December 14th, 2012. Rather than surrender to the frightened parts of her personality that sought grief or revenge, she found her purpose in three words Jesse had written on the family's kitchen chalkboard shortly before his transition: Nurturing, Healing, Love. At the heart of Choose Love is a simple but profound truth: hurt people hurt people. Scarlett recognized through direct experience that if the shooter had been able to give and receive nurturing, healing love, the tragedy would never have occurred. That awareness did not produce blame - it produced a mission of the heart. Gary reflects on Scarlett's journey through the lens of the New Consciousness: what the personality calls a tragedy, the Soul recognizes as an opportunity for evolution - one that has already changed millions of lives and made clear that love is not a feeling to wait for, but a Responsible Choice available in every moment. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:06) — The Choose Love Movement: Scarlett introduces the intentional vessel of her global nonprofit and the experience that gave birth to it. She shares how Jesse’s final chalkboard message - Nurturing, Healing, Love - became her life’s mission and the foundation for creating Authentic Power in the next generation. (07:55) — Refined, Not Defined: Scarlett describes her Responsible Choice following the Sandy Hook transition: the decision to not be defined by the frightened parts of the personality or grief. She chose joy and modeled for her surviving son what it means to be for love rather than against fear. (11:06) — A Miracle, Not a Tragedy: Gary reframes the events through the lens of multisensory perception. What the five-sensory personality labels a tragedy, the Soul recognizes as a miracle of awakening - one that has seeded a global movement and revealed the reality that love is an available choice in every Choice Moment™. (19:15) — Global Dissemination: From a farmhouse in Sandy Hook to nearly 18,000 schools, Scarlett discusses the Soul’s intention for this work. The movement’s reach culminated in "Choose Love" appearing in NFL end zones and on helmets at the Super Bowl - a beautiful sign of our collective awakening. (25:22) — The Gift of Attention: Scarlett shares the experience of sitting with school shooters and asking the question the intellect often avoids: What needs were not met? Their answer - that they didn't feel seen - leads Gary and Scarlett to explore the Reverence required to see the holiness in every Soul we encounter. (29:50) — There Is No "Out There": Understanding the multisensory reality that there is no separation between the inner and outer worlds. Every choice to move from fear to love ripples across the collective. As Scarlett notes, the change we seek in the Earth School must first be anchored within our own hearts. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of someone you recently pulled back from - a stranger, a colleague, someone in the news. What story did your mind tell about them? Now consider: what if that person simply didn't feel seen? The next time you feel yourself contracting, pause and ask: Can I look for the light in this person right now? You don't have to understand them or agree with them. Just choose - for one moment - to see them. The Reason Jealousy Keeps Coming Back (And the One Thing That Actually Stops It)
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In, Listen HERE: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse A new multisensory consciousness is transforming humanity, and with it comes an invitation to look honestly at the parts of ourselves we have long avoided - or justified. In this episode, Gary Zukav and Linda Francis explore jealousy: what it feels like in the body, how it shapes our behavior, and what it truly means to choose love when a frightened part of the personality is active. Linda Francis opens with a candid admission - she was a deeply jealous person for most of her life, and for a long time, she didn't fully recognize it. When she did, her first instinct was to believe she had a right to feel that way - that the circumstances justified her reaction. But through her Spiritual Partnership with Gary, Linda came to understand a fundamental truth: changing the people and situations around her would never change the internal dynamics generating her pain. The shift occurred when Linda stopped "acting out" her jealousy - pushing away, judging, or separating - and made the Responsible Choice to feel the sensation instead. By naming the fear to Gary and staying present with the physical sensations in her energy processing centers, she empowered her loving parts. Over time, that frightened part of her personality lost its grip, allowing for a deeper alignment with her Soul. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:43) — Linda on living with unrecognized jealousy: Linda shares how deeply jealousy ran through her life - and how long she believed the circumstances around her were responsible for it. (01:41) — The moment the work began: Once Linda could no longer look outside herself for answers, she turned inward - naming the feelings in her body and telling Gary the truth of what she was experiencing. (02:40) — What she did instead of acting out: Rather than separating from Gary or blaming him, Linda chose to feel the jealousy fully - noticing thoughts and body sensations - without letting them direct her actions. (03:35) — How repetition created real change: By returning to this practice each time jealousy arose, Linda gradually gained power over that part of her personality, until what was once constant now appears only rarely. (04:00) — The only thing that actually worked: Changing herself - not the people or circumstances around her - was the only thing that helped her to choose to act from a loving part of her personality, and the same applies to every frightened part of the personality rooted in fear. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, when jealousy arises -whether it shows up as a tightness in the chest, a sudden urge to pull away, or a thought that someone else is more than you - pause before acting on it. Ask yourself: Where do I feel this in my body? What story is it telling me? And what would it look like to feel this fully without letting it decide what I do next? Creator or Victim? The Pain Driving Every Choice You Make | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Create the life you desire by choosing love over fear. Learn how HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/love-fear/ In this episode, Gary Zukav gets to the heart of one of the most transformative distinctions in spiritual evolution: the difference between living as a victim and living as a creator. Drawing on the framework of Authentic Power - and the deeply personal experience of returning home from the hospital following Linda Francis’s Soul transition - Gary walks listeners through what it actually feels like in the body and mind to be driven by fear, and what becomes possible the moment you make the Responsible Choice to choose love instead. Gary introduces Emotional Awareness as the practical tool for recognizing which part of your personality is "at the wheel." Fear shows up as physical pain in your energy processing centers - aching, contracting, churning - paired with critical, judgmental thoughts. It reaches outward, trying to extract from the world what it believes it cannot find within. Gary is clear: this pursuit of external power is the anatomy of victimhood. Whether it is romantic attraction, addiction, or the need for admiration, all trace back to the same root: the pain of powerlessness and the belief that the center of your meaning lives outside of you. The path out is not found through willpower or the intellect - it is found through intimacy with your own frightened parts and the courageous choice, made moment by moment, to let love move you instead. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:02) — The Choice That Defines Everything: Gary opens with the central tension every Soul faces: a new consciousness is being born and the old world is disintegrating. The question is not whether change is coming - it is which world you will make the Responsible Choice to live in. (01:22) — Emotional Awareness: Your Body Doesn’t Lie: Gary breaks down the somatic practice of distinguishing love from fear - where to place your Total Attention, what physical sensations to look for in your energy centers, and why the thoughts of a frightened personality are always critical and judgmental. (03:30) — The Pain of Powerlessness: At the root of every frightened part of the personality - anger, jealousy, resentment, addiction - is the same unbearable pain: the feeling of being intrinsically defective and fundamentally alone. Gary names it plainly and reminds listeners that everyone in the Earth School carries it. (07:52) — Victim or Creator? The Real Definition: Gary reframes victimhood not as weakness but as a structural condition - one that includes romantic attraction, martyrdom, and every addiction. He contrasts this with the Creator who asks not what they can get through external power, but what they can give from the Soul. (11:44) — How to Challenge Fear (Without Fighting It): Becoming intimate with fear - feeling exactly where it lives, watching what it thinks - is the heroic work. The frightened parts of your personality are not obstacles to your spiritual evolution; they are the avenues. (20:24) — The Night Linda Didn’t Come Home: Gary shares the raw account of returning home from the hospital alone for the first time following Linda's Soul transition. He didn't follow a protocol; he simply stayed aware in a state of Ready Presence and found the next morning that something fundamental had shifted. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of something you've reached for - food, a drink, your phone, someone's approval - when the discomfort got too loud to sit with. What was the feeling underneath that reaching? Where did you feel it in your body? The next time that sensation arrives, Gary invites you to place your attention in your throat, your chest, your solar plexus. Ask: what is this frightened part of me thinking? You don't have to fix it - just stay with it long enough to remember that you are the one who gets to choose. Judging Someone? This Is What You Should Do
Learn how to connect with your intuition every day. Start your journey to authentic power! Click Here: https://seatofthesoul.com/daily-intuition-practice/ A new multisensory consciousness is transforming humanity, and with it comes a deeper capacity for connection - one that begins not with the world around us, but within ourselves. In this episode, Gary Zukav and Linda Francis explore the experience of compassion: what it feels like when it arises naturally, and what it means to cultivate it deliberately through the practice of Authentic Power. Linda Francis opens by reflecting on how grateful she feels whenever compassion moves through her - and how it always leads back to love. She invites Gary to share his own experience, and he describes compassion arising most reliably in moments of judgment. When he notices himself criticizing or pulling away from someone, he makes the Responsible Choice to remember that they are a Soul in a frightened part of their personality, and in pain. In that remembering, the desire to connect overtakes the impulse to judge. The Authentic Power Guidelines define compassion as the practice of noticing that other people are Souls, just like us, who sometimes have frightened parts of their personalities active - and that remembering this is often enough to bring us back to the frequency of Love. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:43) — Linda reflects on the feeling of compassion: Linda shares her gratitude for the moments when compassion arises naturally - and how it always connects back to love. (01:01) — Gary on when compassion emerges most clearly: For Gary, compassion tends to surface in moments of judgment - when he notices himself criticizing someone and remembers they are a soul in pain. (01:38) — How remembering shifts the experience: When Gary recognizes that someone is in a frightened part of their personality, the impulse to judge loses its pull, and the desire to connect takes its place. (02:57) — The Authentic Power definition of compassion: The guidelines offer a clear and actionable understanding: compassion is remembering that other people are souls like us, who sometimes have frightened parts active - a tool that can interrupt judgment and return us to love. (03:39) — The progression of practice: Gary describes the natural arc of creating Authentic Power - from I can do this to this is who I am - where compassion becomes instinctive rather than intentional. (04:24) — Linda on the role of intention: Linda observes that Gary's consistency with compassion flows from his clear intention to create Authentic Power - and Gary affirms that he renews that intention every morning, every evening, and many times in between. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, when judgment arises toward someone in your life, pause before acting on it. Ask yourself: Is this person in a frightened part of their personality? Are they in pain? Let that question soften the distance. Each time you choose to remember that the person in front of you is a soul, just like you, you take one more step toward Authentic Power. Why You Are the Universe | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Discover a new way of seeing and experiencing the world. Start your journey to multisensory perception HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/mutli-five-sensory/ In this episode, Gary Zukav brings his personal series to its most expansive destination yet: the Universe itself. Drawing on four years of profound transformation following Linda Francis’s Soul transition to non-physical reality, and the wisdom accumulated through his encounters with non-physical teachers, Jesus, Buddha, and Krishna, Gary arrives at the insight anchoring every episode in this series - the Universe is not something you observe. It is something you are. He revisits the final chapter of The Dancing Wu Li Masters and finds that words he chose a half-century ago - before his personality could fully grasp them - now describe precisely what he is living. Gary traces the arc of human consciousness from five-sensory perception - where only the physical world is real - to the multisensory awareness now emerging across the planet. Genesis taught him this transformation is happening within three generations, with roughly four billion Souls now carrying the new consciousness. The answer Gary arrives at is simple and total: the Universe is Love, Authentic Power is Love, and the only meaningful work left in the Earth School is to expand awareness of that love - by challenging the frightened parts of your personality and making the Responsible Choice, moment by moment, to let love drive. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — An Unprecedented Transformation: Gary names the shift reshaping human history and frames the central choice every listener faces: gratitude, patience, and awe, or anger, worry, and despair. (01:22) — The Arc of This Series: Gary reflects on the journey this series has traced - from Linda's transition and his encounter with Genesis, to Jesus, Buddha, and Krishna - and explains why the Universe is the destination they were always moving toward. (09:00) — The Dancing Wu Li Masters Closes the Circle: Gary returns to the final chapter of his first book, written a half-century ago while "sleepwalking," and discovers that the words he chose then now describe exactly what he is living. (12:16) — The Universe Is All That Is: Drawing on Genesis's teaching that Gary is the Universe - not an observer of it - Gary explores what it means that the Universe is not a container for love. It is love itself. (16:26) — Enjoy Yourself. All Is Perfect.: For 40 years, Genesis ended every session with the same words - enjoy yourself, all is perfect - and Gary only now understands it was never a farewell. It was an instruction. Joy is the revealer of love: you cannot experience both at the same time. (20:31) — Changing Yourself Changes the World: The old consciousness sees an uncrossable barrier between inner and outer. The new sees none. As you create authentic power within, the world transforms with you. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of the last time you tried to change something outside of yourself and found yourself spinning your wheels. What was driving you in that moment - love or fear? Gary invites you to try a different experiment today: instead of reaching outward, pause and ask the question Genesis asked him for forty years - can I enjoy myself here? All is perfect. Not as a platitude, but as a practice. Let’s ConnectGary Zukav | Website Gary Zukav | Instagram Gary Zukav | Facebook Gary Zukav | Books Gary Zukav | YouTube Gary Zukav | X

The Hidden Message Inside Every Emotion You've Been Ignoring
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen HERE: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse A new multisensory consciousness is transforming humanity, and with it comes a more intimate understanding of our internal landscape. In this episode, Gary Zukav responds to a listener question about Emotional Awareness - specifically whether labeling emotions is a useful part of the inner journey. With characteristic depth, he explains that emotions do not exist in the realm of the intellect, and that true awareness requires something far more personal than a label. Gary distinguishes between the intellect, which is always comparative and judgmental, and the physical body, which is the true gateway to emotional experience. Emotions, he explains, are messengers from the Soul - continuously signaling whether you are about to act from a frightened part of your personality or a loving part. Dismissing these messages means forfeiting the very spiritual evolution they are offering. The most direct path is not intellectualization, but sensation - feeling emotions intimately within your energy processing centers, where the real patterns of your Authentic Power are revealed. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:42) — A listener asks whether labeling emotions has a place in Emotional Awareness: Janet raises the inquiry of whether naming what we feel is a meaningful part of the inner journey Gary teaches. (00:59) — Why emotions cannot be reached through the intellect: Labels and analysis belong to the realm of thought - emotions exist in an entirely different domain, accessible only through the physical body and your energy processing centers. (01:30) — How your thoughts reveal which part of your personality is active: Judgmental or comparative thinking is a dependable signal that a frightened part of the personality is in control of your awareness. (02:23) — Emotions as the force field of the Soul: Our emotions are not obstacles but messengers - continuously guiding us toward love or alerting us to fear. Making the Responsible Choice based on those messages is where Authentic Power begins. (04:48) — The shift from external power to Authentic Power: Gary draws the defining distinction between chasing external circumstances to find relief and turning inward to face what has been activated - the only path that creates lasting spiritual evolution. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, when a strong emotion arises, resist the urge to name it or trace it back to someone else. Instead, pause and bring your attention into your body. Where do you feel it? Sit with those sensations without judgment and ask yourself: Is this a messenger from my soul? Is it pointing me toward fear or toward love? Who's Driving Your Chariot? Krishna & The Great Battle | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Discover a new way of seeing and experiencing the world. Start your journey to multisensory perception HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/mutli-five-sensory/ In this episode, Gary Zukav continues his personal experiences series by turning to a frequency of wisdom that has stayed close to his heart: Krishna. Drawing a familiar distinction between institutionalized religion and living spiritual truth, Gary makes clear this isn't about Hinduism as dogma - it's about the Soul's intention pulsing at its center. He traces his encounter with the Mahabharata and its heart, the Bhagavad Gita, unpacking the epic allegory of two warring families as something far more intimate: the Great Battle between love and fear being fought within each of us, every moment. Gary walks through the pivotal scene in which Arjuna - the greatest warrior in the Earth School - finds his physical body trembling before battle, and Krishna halts the chariot to provide a non-physical perspective. The two armies are not external families - they represent the loving and frightened parts of your own personality. The Responsible Choice of who drives your chariot is the choice that defines your life and creates your future. Authentic Power is not found in armies, wealth, or external power - it is found in the alignment of your personality with your Soul, choosing love over fear, moment by moment, in the Earth School. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — Two Worlds, One Choice: Gary opens with the invitation anchoring this series: the choice between the new multisensory consciousness - gratitude, patience, and awe - and the old world of external power defined by anger, worry, and despair. (03:05) — The Heart of Hinduism: Gary shares how the Mahabharata opened him to living spiritual wisdom - and how its heart, the Bhagavad Gita, distills everything into one searing question: love or fear? (06:30) — Arjuna's Responsible Choice: The greatest warrior in the Earth School chooses Krishna as his chariot driver over all the armies in the world. Gary unpacks what that choice means - and why the Kaurava leader's delight in gaining the armies (external power) is itself the lesson. (09:44) — The Greatest Battle Is Inside You: The two warring families represent the loving and frightened parts of your personality. The battle between them is the curriculum every awakening human being is living right now. (13:06) — Authentic Power Requires Your Total Involvement: Multisensory perception alone does not create Authentic Power - commitment, courage, compassion, and conscious action do. You cannot opt out. You volunteered. (20:56) — Living it Consciously: Gary shares how he and Linda Francis listened to the Bhagavad Gita together in Spiritual Partnership, and how even after her Soul's transition, they continue to co-create. He carries Krishna's words not as philosophy, but as lived experience. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge: Think of the great battle in your own life - not on any battlefield, but in a choice you keep deferring, a frightened part of yourself you keep handing the reins to. Arjuna, the greatest warrior in the world, froze. And yet he chose Krishna. Who are you choosing as your chariot driver? What would it look like, just today, to let love drive? Distractions Are Not the Enemy — They're a Signal
A new multisensory consciousness is emerging, and with it comes a deeper look at the subtle forces that shape our inner lives. In this episode, Gary Zukav explores the nature of distractions—the impulses, temptations, and obsessions that pull us away from our spiritual evolution. With clarity and compassion, he explains that the Universe continually offers us opportunities to see the frightened parts of our personality that limit our potential, not to punish us, but to provide the necessary terrain to create Authentic Power. Gary goes deeper by showing how distractions arise from frightened parts of the personality that prefer avoidance over Emotional Awareness. These parts can appear powerful—whether through cravings, emotional attachments, or obsessive thoughts—but their influence depends entirely on whether we choose to empower them. Distraction, then, is not an external power dynamic but an internal signal inviting us to remain present, aware, and willing to make a Responsible Choice. The solution is a foundational practice: notice the distraction, feel the physical sensations in your body without judgment, and choose not to act on the impulse. Each time you refrain from acting on a fear-based impulse, you loosen its grip and strengthen the loving parts of your personality that are in harmony with your Soul’s intention. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:40) — Why distractions appear on the path of spiritual evolution: Gary explains how the Universe utilizes distraction to reveal the frightened parts of your personality that limit your growth in the Earth School. (01:05) — How temptation pulls you away from Emotional Awareness: Whether it is craving, obsession, or fixation on another person, these impulses arise from frightened parts of the personality attempting to avoid the inner journey. (02:08) — The power of choosing not to act from fear: Gary reveals why every distracted impulse grows stronger when acted upon—and weaker when you refrain. This is the exact point where Authentic Power begins. (02:28) — Why Responsible Choice rests with you: The Universe can guide, but it cannot choose for you. Only you can decide whether to react from a frightened part or to make the Responsible Choice to align with your Soul. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge This week, notice moments when temptation, craving, or fixation pulls your attention away from your inner work. Pause before reacting. Feel the distraction without judgment and ask yourself: Is this coming from a frightened part of my personality? Then choose not to act on it. Each time you make this choice, you reclaim your power, cultivate clarity, and strengthen the parts of you aligned with love. Buddha, Angels & the Moment My Mind Went Quiet | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Discover a new way of seeing and experiencing the world. Start your journey to multisensory perception HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/mutli-five-sensory/ In this episode, Gary Zukav continues his personal experiences series by turning to a frequency he never anticipated: Buddha. Making the same distinction he drew with Christ and Christianity, Gary is clear this isn't about institutionalized structures - it's about Siddhartha's living wisdom. He shares two unexpected encounters in San Francisco - the Kalachakra initiation with Kalu Rinpoche and the Black Hat Ceremony with the Karmapa - that silenced the chatter of his personality and brought tears his five-sensory perception couldn't explain. Gary traces the parallels between Buddha and Christ - two Souls, two transformations, two Responsible Choices that changed everything - alongside the teaching from Genesis, his long-term non-physical teacher, that the Universe is inside you, and there is no outside. At first incomprehensible to the intellect, the idea echoed across traditions: Christ's "the kingdom of heaven is within," Lakota wisdom, and Buddha's vision of worlds as numerous as dust motes. The intellect will never perceive this, Gary says. But your Soul can. What emerged was simple: consciousness is immortal, and every moment in the Earth School is an invitation to make the Responsible Choice to choose love over fear. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — Two Worlds, One Choice: Gary opens with the invitation anchoring this series: the choice between the new multisensory consciousness - gratitude, patience, and awe — and the old world of external power defined by anger, worry, and despair. (03:05) — The Most Personal Are the Most Universal: Gary explains why he shares his own experiences - not to be believed, but because the most intimate truths are the ones your Soul already recognizes. (06:30) — Two Encounters, One Silence: Gary recounts the Kalachakra initiation and the Black Hat Ceremony - experiences that stilled the chatter of his personality, brought unexplained tears, and drew the living wisdom of the Buddha into his life without his seeking it. (13:19) — Buddha and Christ: Two Paths, One Transformation: Gary draws the parallels between Siddhartha and Jesus - two Souls, both transformed. It was their Responsible Choices in those moments, not their miracles, that made them who they became in the Earth School. (18:21) — The Universe Is Inside You: Gary shares the teaching from Genesis that stopped him cold - and how it echoed across Christ, Lakota wisdom, and Buddha's vision of worlds as numerous as dust motes, until it became undeniable to his multisensory perception. (23:33) — You Are a Unique Expression of the Universe: When his non-physical teachers told Gary he was Immortal, something shifted permanently. Consciousness does not cease. Spiritual responsibility does not cease. And that realization makes every moment in the Earth School precious. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a moment when something unexpected opened a door - a conversation, an event you nearly didn't attend. Did it quiet something in you? Leave a mark you couldn't explain? Buddha didn't find enlightenment by staying in the palace. Jesus didn't become the Christ by avoiding the wilderness. Are You Actually Enjoying Your Life? Gary Zukav & Linda Francis Reveal What's Stopping You
Your emotions are messages from your soul. Learn How to Tune In and Listen Here: www.seatofthesoul.com/emotionalawarenesscourse In this illuminating episode, Gary Zukav and Linda Francis invite listeners to examine one of the most deceptively simple questions of spiritual evolution: Are you truly enjoying yourself? They offer a profound lens for understanding why so many of us navigate the Earth School without genuine joy - and what it means to make a Responsible Choice to live differently. Linda Francis reveals a powerful internal indicator: when you are not truly enjoying yourself, a frightened part of your personality is in command. The moment you notice this lack of joy is the very moment you are being invited to choose again. The path is available in every moment: choose the loving part of your personality - the part that always enjoys itself - and create Authentic Power by letting it lead. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:02) — A New World, A New Choice: Gary opens with a vision of two worlds calling to each of us - one rooted in gratitude, patience, and awe (the new consciousness); the other in anger, worry, and despair (the old world of external power). (00:42) — Your Enjoyment as a Spiritual Indicator: Linda shares a transformative insight: if you are not truly enjoying yourself, a frightened part of your personality is active and in control of your experience in the Earth School. (01:12) — The Power to Choose: In any moment of non-enjoyment, you can make the Responsible Choice to consciously shift to the loving part of your personality, which always enjoys itself and aligns with your Soul. (01:39) — A Daily Reminder: Linda shares that she continues to receive the same message in her own meditations: enjoy yourself. Even for those deeply committed to spiritual evolution, this practice is ongoing and worth returning to every day as you create Authentic Power. (01:54) — One Happy Buddhist: Gary closes with a warm story about the Dalai Lama - a reminder that joy is not something to be earned through effort, but a conscious choice that reflects the frequency of the Soul. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge: Pause and reflect: how much of your day are you truly enjoying yourself? The next time you notice tension, frustration, or a quiet sense of dread, stop and ask yourself - is a frightened part of my personality running the show right now? You don't need to judge it. How Pain, Loss & Jesus Transformed My View of Resurrection | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Discover a new way of seeing and experiencing the world. Start your journey to multisensory perception HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/mutli-five-sensory/ In this episode, Gary Zukav explores resurrection through the lens of multisensory perception - not as religious doctrine, but as a living symbol of what is happening to billions of souls right now. Drawing on his own transformative experiences, including the Soul’s transition of his beloved Spiritual Partner, Linda, and the awakening that followed, Gary reveals how resurrection is not a miraculous event reserved for the divine. Instead, it is a journey available to every Soul willing to move through pain consciously and make the Responsible Choice to choose love on the other side. For Gary, the word "resurrection" had once belonged to Christianity - distant and beyond his reach. But when he sat with its true meaning - to restore - his internal landscape shifted. The crucifixion, he explains, is a map: the horizontal path represents a life of attempting to change circumstances without changing the self, while the vertical path is the path of spiritual evolution, where the Soul wakes up to something larger than the personality - its own Immortal nature. Resurrection, Gary says, is that waking. It is the before and the after - the moment a Soul, broken open by the curriculum of the Earth School, is restored to who they truly are. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — Two Worlds, One Choice: Gary opens with an invitation to choose between the new multisensory consciousness - gratitude, contentment, and awe - and the old world of external power defined by anger, worry, and despair. (03:05) — Compadre: Gary revisits his unexpected encounter with Jesus, who met him not as a distant deity but as a Spiritual Partner and equal who said simply, "I'm your compadre" - a moment that made the Responsible Choice to ever close his heart again unthinkable. (06:06) — What Does Resurrection Actually Mean?: Gary unpacks the word restore and how that single definition reframes the Earth School curriculum. There is a before and an after, and what comes after is the restoration of the personality to the frequency of the Soul. (09:01) — The Night He Wanted to Die: Gary shares the raw reality of Linda's Soul's transition and the morning-after realization that arrived as a permanent truth: the Soul's intention for his remaining time is simply to love people. (12:01) — Souls in the Earth School: Gary illuminates what resurrection symbolizes on a cosmic scale - the Soul returning home, and the consciousness that carries forward the consequences of every Responsible Choice made in this life. (18:00) — What's Yours?: Returning to Jesus as a model of conscious choice, Gary asks the question that anchors the creation of Authentic Power: faced with excruciating pain, Jesus chose love and forgiveness. In every moment, that same choice is available to each of us. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of a moment when pain cracked you open - when something you didn't think you could survive actually changed you. Not break you. Changed you. Was there a before and an after? Was there something in you that was restored - not created new, but returned? You Were Born to Choose Love - Here's How to Do It Every Day
Discover a new way of seeing and experiencing the world. Start your journey to multisensory perception HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/mutli-five-sensory/ In this soul-stirring episode, Gary Zukav speaks directly to the heart of what it means to be alive in this unprecedented moment of human evolution. As a new consciousness reshapes the entire human species, Gary presents each listener with a fundamental choice: will you orient your life toward gratitude, patience, contentment, and awe - or remain in the familiar grip of fear and doubt? This episode is both an invitation and a roadmap for those ready to walk the path of authentic transformation. At the center of Gary’s teaching is the recognition that the frightened parts of our personality - those deeply ingrained patterns of reactivity and self-protection - will continue to run the show until we make a conscious, intentional choice to move beyond them. The challenge is not simply wanting to change; it is summoning the genuine, soul level intention to align your personality with your soul and create Authentic Power. The path forward is clear: scan your body for emotional currents, set your intention, and choose love over fear in each moment. By doing so, you become a spiritual partner - to yourself, and to those around you. As Gary reminds us, you were born to do this. Why not begin now? What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:02) — A New World Being Born: Gary describes the unprecedented evolution of the human species - from five-sensory to multi-sensory - and the moment-by-moment choice we each face between two worlds. (00:30) — The Essence of Authentic Power: How to align your personality with your soul. Gary makes it clear: without a conscious intention, this alignment - and your spiritual evolution—simply cannot happen. (01:03) — Intention as the Only Lever: Only your own sincere, soul-level intention can move you beyond the control of the frightened parts of your personality. No one can do this work for you. (01:30) — The Choice for Love: Gary illuminates the core practice of spiritual awareness: distinguishing the frequency of love from the frequency of fear within your own body - and choosing love, unconditionally. (02:00) — The Path of Spiritual Partnership: Gary invites you into a new way of relating - as equals who are joined together for the purpose of spiritual growth. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge: Pause and reflect: where in your life are the frightened parts of your personality still making decisions for you? Identify one moment this week when you felt fear, anger, or overwhelm - and ask yourself: what would it have looked like to choose love instead? Set a clear intention today. Say it aloud or write it down: "I intend to align my personality with my soul and create Authentic Power in my life." Notice what shifts when you do. Jesus: What Does It Mean to Be Guided by Him | Gary Zukav's Personal Experiences
Discover a new way of seeing and experiencing the world. Start your journey to multisensory perception HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/mutli-five-sensory/ In this episode, Gary Zukav shares a transformative revelation of his journey into multi-sensory perception: the discovery that he is a student under the direct guidance of Jesus Christ. From his initial repulsion - rooted in the frightened parts of his personality and the historical violence and hypocrisy of institutional religion - to the moment Jesus connected and spoke to him directly as a compadre and equal, Gary traces the arc of a relationship that cracked his heart wide open. For Gary, the word "Christian" carried the heavy energy of the five-sensory human experience - the Crusades, the Inquisition, and the use of power as a weapon of control. When Genesis delivered the announcement of his guidance, every frightened part of his personality rose up in resistance. Yet, beneath that fear, something else was quietly stirring. The resolution came not through doctrine, but through direct experience. Jesus met Gary as an equal - a presence so sweet and tender that it dissolved the walls created by the frightened part of his personality. In that moment, the choice to close his heart became an impossibility, replaced by a permanent alignment with unconditional love. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — Beyond the Five Senses: Gary opens with an invitation into the new human consciousness and the non-physical reality reshaping our species. (03:22) — The Announcement: Genesis pauses with profound intentionality, delivering a revelation Gary’s frightened parts never saw coming: he is a student under the direct guidance of Jesus. (05:20) — The Shadow of the Personality: Why that announcement felt like a threat to Gary’s sense of self, and the historical power struggles that created his resistance. (09:41) — The Cross Reframed: Genesis reinterprets the crucifixion as a map of authentic power: the horizontal path of the five-sensory world, the vertical path of spiritual transformation, and the heart at the intersection of both. (12:45) — Compadre: Jesus met Gary not as a deity, but as a spiritual equal - and four words expand his heart beyond the limits of the personality: "And I have you." (15:35) — The Sweetness of the Soul: How the lived tenderness of this presence permanently transformed Gary's capacity to remain in heart-bound connection with all of Life. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge Think of something you've resisted - not because of what it truly is, but because of what the label carried. A word, a tradition, an identity so loaded with history that you couldn't see past it. What if beneath that label lived something entirely different from what you feared? What parts of your spiritual journey have been shaped - or held back - by the weight of inherited associations? And what might open in you if you were willing to encounter it directly, without the armor of the past? The Conversation That Changes Everything
Discover a new way of seeing and experiencing the world. Start your journey to multisensory perception HERE: https://seatofthesoul.com/mutli-five-sensory/ In this profound Soul Snack, Gary Zukav reveals one of the most courageous practices available to spiritual partners: having the courage to share the very things the frightened part of your personality fears will most destroy the relationship. This radical transparency is the foundation upon which genuine connection is built within the Earth School - and the surest path toward creating Authentic Power. As Gary deepens the inquiry, he illuminates how withholding what feels too vulnerable to say does not protect the Spiritual Partnership; instead, it creates a field of interference that quietly dismantles the bond. Your partner already feels this distance in their energy centers, even when the personality cannot yet find the words to name it. The invitation is both simple and transformative: become an explorer of your own internal landscape. When you make the Responsible Choice to share with integrity and depth, you build a bond of trust that no amount of careful silence could ever create. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) — The Evolution of Consciousness: Gary opens with the unprecedented context of our transition to multisensory perception and the daily choice between the frequency of the Soul and the frightened personality. (00:43) — Alignment through Transparency: Discover why sharing the things your personality fears will destroy the bond is a foundational act of Authentic Power. Gary explains that this is not about "fixing" the relationship, but about serving the Soul's intention for growth. (01:16) — The Recognition of Energy: When you withhold truth, you create a field of separation that your partner feels in their energy processing centers. Choosing silence is a choice to move toward distance, whether the personality recognizes it or not. (02:50) — Five-Sensory Marriage vs. Spiritual Partnership: Gary distinguishes between the old model of "not rocking the boat" and a Spiritual Partnership that intentionally swims into the unknown, finding stability in the shared evolution of the heart. (04:38) — Linda Francis: The Power of Honest Witnessing: Gary shares a transmission from Linda as she guides a group to speak from love. Learn how "protecting" a partner from the truth is a frightened impulse that prevents them from doing their own heroic work. (07:31) — Replacing Fear with Love: Recognizing that withholding to "avoid hurting someone" is an attempt to manipulate an outcome - a pursuit of external power. Authentic Power emerges when you choose to act from your loving parts, even while a frightened part is active. Embrace the Soul Step Challenge: Think of a relationship where you have been holding something back - not because it is irrelevant, but because it feels too risky to say. Pause and ask yourself: is this silence an act of love, or an act of fear? What might become possible if you chose to speak from love instead?
