THE GOSPEL BITE

BAPTISM IS ONE OF THE MOST RECOGNIZED PRACTICES IN CHRISTIANITY, YET IT IS ONE OF THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD AND DELAYED ACTS OF OBEDIENCE AMONG BELIEVERS TODAY.THIS PANEL DISCUSSION THEREFORE SEEKS TO EXAMINE BAPTISM FROM BIBLICAL POINT OF VIEW. IT SEEKS TO CLARIFY WHAT BAPTISM IS AND NOT, HOW IT RELATES TO SALVATION AND REPENTANCE.

Mathew 15:30-31And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Hebrew 5:14 Mathew 13:23 Eph 4:9 2 Cor 3:18 In our Christian walk we need to get understanding: 1. To understand the scriptures for us to bear fruits 2. Have deeper knowledge or perspective of Christ 3. Have comprehension 4.Wisdom

The jews desired a temple for the Lord. The Lord allowed King Solomon to build him a temple. The presence of the Lord mightily was felt in the temple. The Lord however dwells in temples made without hands. When we become born again our bodies become his temple. But how deep do we worship in this temple?

Ambition seeks self glorification and self actualization. Ambition is not rewarded Passion on the other hand glorifies Christ. Seeks not its own but works for the cause of Christ. We should be passionate about Christ to bring others to Christ and not to seek popularity. Passion brings revival as was when during the Welsh revival.

We are born of the Spirit in order to enter into this city. The Holy Spirit indwells us as a promise. They we have a burden for the Lord. We have been given the ministry of reconciliation. We bear the reproaches of Christ. The assurance of the resurrection becomes alive in us as we burn as a candle. As the candle burns it diminishes in size but the flame keep burning until it life goes out. Be blessed. Shalom!

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name ARE YOU THE MANY AS RECEIVED HIM? Understanding the Godhead is key to knowing what you worship. God is an object of worship. He is the great Eternal Spirit. His expressed thought become the LOGOS which which he created all things. 1 Timothy 6:16 he dwells in unapproachable light. His expressed image is in the Lord Jesus Christ who became a light unto the world.  May the Lord help you to walk in that light. Shalom!
