The Impact Series

Mark was just a business owner in a small town in Arkansas when the radical LGBTQ agenda brought Drag Queen Story Hour to his local library. Wanting to make a difference, Mark joined the library board. A few months later, a massive pride display was launched in the children’s section of the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library. These books contained sexually explicit and pornographic content. Since June 2021, Mark and his family have been in an all-out battle to protect innocent children in their community. They have faced personal insults, threats, and financial loss as the battle continues to rage.

Loudoun County Public Schools are a source of contention for many Virginia parents and lawmakers. Patti Menders, a mom who discovered racially divisive material within the school system, decided something had to be done. Then Xi Van Fleet, a mom who emigrated from Communist China and knows all too well about the harsh realities of toxic ideologies, joined the fight. Even though their courageous stand has resulted in a slew of insults and pushback, these two moms, along with many other parents, continue to fight for their children’s education and well-being.

In 2021, 31 babies were abandoned across the United States. For every baby found, it is said that there are two that are never found. Monica Kelsey, abandoned as a newborn herself, leads Safe Haven Baby Boxes, a growing ministry that focuses on helping parents and infants in crisis situations. Since it began in 2015, Safe Haven Baby Boxes has assisted in the safe surrender of over 150 babies. But its mission to save babies hasn’t come without opposition and trials. Despite the challenges, the ministry presses on, saving babies one box at a time. With the growing disregard for the sanctity of human life in today’s culture, Safe Haven Baby Boxes provides an effective way to fight] for the lives of the innocent while also ministering to those in crisis.

There are close to 10,000 unhoused people living within the Denver city limits. Many are looking for a way to put their lives back together but struggle due to the overwhelming day-to-day challenges of being homeless. In an effort to alleviate some of those difficulties and out of a sincere desire to follow the Lord’s call on his life, Jamie Sanchez opened The Drip Café. Jamie’s endeavors were met with fierce persecution from the Denver Communists who would stop at nothing to see the café shut down. This fourth episode of AFA’s Impact Series Impact Series details how Jamie has withstood the tension between his deeply held convictions and social pressures in a strongly progressive American city.

Pornography use among children is a growing concern for medical professionals – particularly for Heidi Olson, a sexual assault nurse examiner. After caring for over 1,500 pediatric sexual assault patients, Heidi realized a disturbing trend. Time and time again, the sexual assault victims she was caring for had been assaulted by other children and pornography was the common denominator. To combat this public health crisis, Heidi created resources and her own consulting business to raise awareness about this issue and help other medical professionals screen for porn use during forensic exams. Despite pushback, she continues in her work to help protect children from the dangers of pornography.
